Cast of Characters: Star Sapphire, Sister Reinhardt

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire sighs as she just sits on a bench in East End, near Ferris Plaza. She looks down, sighing softly. She couldn't reach the woman who took Joker's dastardly, yet harmful, offer. "Maybe I wasn't ready to put the ring back on..." she muses softly as she looks down at the hand that bears the Star Sapphire ring.

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
Suzanne happens to be nearby....as Suzanne. She tilts her head as she spots Star Sapphire and walks over to her, putting her left hand into a pocket. "You okay?" She says softly as she Stands there in front of Star Sapphire.

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire sighs. "Just... feeling rather down. I failed someone today. I'm not really sure if I should be doing this." She gazes up at you. She's not even glowing, just a woman in a rather skimpy violet costume. "If you heard about the Joker's antics an hour ago... I tried to help. I failed."

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"The key is that you tried." Suzanne says before sitting down. "If you had tried, there'd have been no hope at all for her. but, for them to even attempt to succeed, they must grasp at the opportunities given on their own." She then smiles. "I did hear, by the way. Was working a job near here."

Star Sapphire has posed:
Suddenly Star's ring blinks. And a strangely accented female voice comes from it. "Blue energy detected." Star Sapphire raises an eyebrow. "Ah... makes sense now." She nods slowly. "Trying to instill hope, I see."

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
Suzanne takes her left hand out of her pocket....where it shows her ring glowing. "It's better than letting you sit there and mope. Star Sapphire ring bearer....or...Violet Lantern. However you want to be called. You must never give up hope. Much like I shouldn't." She then rubs her nose a bit. "Isn't your ring fueled by love?"

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire nods. "You can call me Star Sapphire. And it is. But I'm at a bit of shortage these days. I don't really have anyone I can focus my love on." She shrugs. "I haven't put my ring on for almost a year until last week. And then Joker tried to get someone to take two million to go out the cafe, promising that many would die. I tried to get through to this desolate woman, but her heart was dark."

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"Perhaps it's time you should try having friends then." Suzanne says with a rub of her chin. "She probably had something else on her mind, and she didn't have a choice but to trust the Joker. Which is a bad idea." She then puts her hand on Star Sapphire's shoulder. "Of course, Love doesn't have to focus on people either."

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire nods. "I know," she states. "I love airplanes. I always have." A small quadcopter drone manifests, a violet construct with an eight-point star. "Perahps I do need more friends. I'm still friends with... the Green Lantern. But there's such history there, bad history, that things are strained."

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"It's a start." Suzanne says with a smile. "And you're friends with the Green Lantern....despite your history. I only know part of it, mostly because I don't know the person behind the ring. However...." She says as she makes it a point to spin the Star Sapphire construct with a flick of her finger. "You must stay positive. Love can be a double-edged sword. It's why it's often thought of as passion. Love can be a strength, but it can also be a weakness. What if your love is rejected? What if your love is spurned? What if I became a god and was able to lift Thor's hammer? What if I never met Brother Shon? What if I never tried to find my best friend in Sunnydale?" She then looks pointedly to Star Sapphire. ".....What if my brother never raped me? What if I never met Superman?"

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire just stares as she is spurred to hug you. "I'm sorry that such a bad thing happened to you," she whispers softly. "But you met Superman? Alway wanted to meet him." She pulls back from you. "I know... my ring is hard to control sometimes. The risk of being at the edge of the Spectrum."

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"I actually got a selfie in with Superman and.....it's the walpaper on my phone." Suzanne then chuckles. "You just have to remember that Love isn't a way to control someone. That isn't love. Love can be a physical thing, such as a song, or the touch of a hand, or it can be mental, such as seeing a sunset, or a moment where you're at peace. But, the big thing is that....you want to control your ring? You first have to love....yourself." She then holds up her left hand...to show her ring. "Just as I have to keep hope alive in my heart." She then shakes her head. "And if you think the aircraft HERE is interesting? You should see a world that's.......light years from here."

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire nods. "Oh, I have. I"ve been to alien worlds. Zamaron in particular. But I have made that love for airplanes... into an empire." She points her thumb back at the buildign behind her - Ferris Plaza, the new headquarters for Ferris Air. "But loving myself isn't as easy sometimes. When I think about my past. I try to stay focused towards the future though. Just... I've had some bad things happen to me. Maybe not as bad as with your brother though.... but still bad."

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"Yeah, but when the aircraft is sentient....and can change into robots....that's a little unique." Suzanne then looks to the building. "Well....if you don't love yourself....how can you love someone else? You can't rely on someone else to 'fix' you. If you need to work on yourself....you should. I mean, you've already started. You were enemies with the Green Lantern....and now? you're friends. I'd say it's a step in the right direction." She then chuckles. "plus, if it turned into a negative emotion....I'd drain your power."

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire smiles. "Oh, I do love myself. But... not as much as I should." She hmmmmmms softly. "To be frank, my animosity to..." She trails off. "To Green Lantern, wasn't really my fault, but it was me nonetheless." She nods. "I loved him once. But... with everyhting that happened... we discussed it and agreed to just be friends."

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"Like I said....work on yourself. It'll seem hard, but you'll make progress." Suzanne then stands up. "I should head back to my apartment. And you don't seem like a bad person." She says as she places a card into Star's hand. The card simply says 'Suzanne Reinhardt, Sound technician and designer'. "If you want to hang out, give me a call." She says before she starts to walk back across the street.

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire nods as she hands you a card back. A business card. 'Carol Ferris, CEO, Ferris Air'. It has a logo of an airplane flying off. She smiles softly. "I'll be sure to. I'll let my secretary know." She nods slowly as she watches you leave, feelign more positive about herself.
