Synopsis: Harley meets a woman with hands as cold as a November night.
Cast of Characters: Harley Quinn, Selene (Underworld)

Harley Quinn has posed:
Gotham at midnight isn't much different than Gotham by daylight. With the recent scarcity of the Batman, things have gotten even worse.

Enter Harley Quinn, wearing a frilly tulle black and red tutu, walking the streets with a baseball bat. Black and red leather corset, black combat boots. Slurpee. Blue bubblegum. And she is giving the eye to anyone who looks her way for more than a few seconds.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
An old Skytrain Station that is one of the more rundown on the central island of Gotham sits quiet as a train had left only moments ago and taken anyone who'd been waiting away. In its wake, is nothing but silence...

That silence, however is interupted by gunfire. Two shots in the darkness at the foot of the skytrain, flashes of bright light and the echoing ring of the handgun rounds bouncing off of the walls... then more silence. A second later and there's a deep growling groan, followed by a third and final shot! Harley will certainly hear all of this coming from the shadows beneath the train station.

Harley Quinn has posed:
"Oooh mischief..." Harley is positively giddy as she heads toward the tracks. Bat in hand, but also now a gun. There is nothing but silence NOW, but she certainly heard all that commotion. She stands, bat over one shoulder, handgun down at her side. "Come out, come out whereeeever you aaaare..." Her voice is singsong, as if she hasn't a care in the world.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
What Harley will come to find is the corpse of a blood covered werewolf... just a typical night in Gotham, right? Its jaws are open and its got the last remnants of hot blooded steam rising up from the back of its throat. Fresh kill!

What else Harley will realize though is that there's the sound of a growl, not too far from her. Coming from the shadows beneath a burnt up old donut truck that was abandoned here after a heist about two years ago.

Throw growl moves in the darkness, causing the sensation and feeling that the lady with the bat is being watched!

Harley Quinn has posed:
Harley's wild blue eyes are as big as dinner plates as she blinks, looking down at the werewolf. "Dude...you dead?" She pokes the corpse with her bat, getting no response. But a growl from not too far away makes her blood run cold. She looks out and around her, trying to find the source. Seeing nothing, her skin prickles with an uneasy fear.

"Dude?" she calls out. "YOU dead?" God she hopes it isn't dead. Undead give her the willies somethin' fierce.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
When the bat makes contact with the Werewolf's corpse it gets a wet squishy noise and a little more blood (with glittering liquid silver) dribbles out of its wounds. Yep, its definitely dead. When she speaks toward the shadows of the old burnt up donut truck the growl gets a liiiittle louder, then falls completely silent at her words spoken toward it.

What happens next would be one of those flighty sensations where you can tell something is about to happen before it actually does. From Harley's left the growl grows much louder as a very much ALIVE werewolf lunges at her out of the darkness, fangs out and claws all stretched and ready to tear into the Quinn of Harley!

Harley Quinn has posed:
"Duuude!" Harley swings for the fences, aiming for the werewolf's head. Even as she's swinging, she is preparing to backpedal, the moment it makes contact. Or doesnt.

"SERIOUSLY NOT COOL!!" she squeaks as she clatters backwards, trying to get out of the creature's path...and reach.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Everyone knows that when Harley gets pushed she can swing that bat like a pro ball player, or close to it at least, and the bat successfully lands with a solid clubbing against the side of the werewolf'e skull. The wolf flies PAST her as she backsteps, though it still bumps into her some with its wet and furry left side! It lands solidly against the metal steps leading up to the sky train station and then it latches onto the back of the steps with its mighty paws. It shakes its head from the bat strike, shaking away the stars in its eyes, then turns to GROWL loudly at the woman who'd just hit it!

One hand leaves the steps, followed by the other as the creature starts to turn toward her, its lumbering form beginning a stalking posture now that the element of surprise is already played-out. It GROWLS! again, because its an angry boy... and its eyes moemntarily look down to the dead bretheren on the ground. Does it think Harley killed its friend?? Uh oh.

Harley Quinn has posed:
"Groooosssss," Harley coons as the wet fur squishes against her. "Wet dog...." She laments. She watches as the werewolf tumble. But now she is watching him and backing up. "Dude, I had NOTHING to do with that. I just heard it happen and came to see what it was!" She hopes werewolves speak English. She doesn't know Klingon.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
The wolf's head shoots up to look at Harley as she tries to talk her way out of the crime of murdering its friend! It snarls, with saliva dripping from the corners of its lips. It takes one dedicated step forward toward the woman with the bat, and then clearly is about to lunge when something else happens.

The burnt up Donut Truck moves! And it moves fast! Backward no less! The old metal tires roll as the truck is propelled back where it slams into the Lycan and smashes it into thsoe metal stairs!

There's a loud howl and then, silence... some dogs are barking off in the distance, and there's an empty shopping cart rolling down the street toward the gutter.

Harley Quinn has posed:
"Okay, Harles. You been in trouble before. Did ya ever let that stop ya? NO. Because you're bright and bubbly and ...and why is there a shopping cart? Well THAT'S just creepy as f--" But she is caught off guard by another dog barking. This time closer. She can see it. Not a wolf. Not even a were. But it startles her all the same. She approaches the truck, gun drawn, to inspect the damage. "Do you aim for the head? No...That's zombies. You're thinking of zombies."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
The shopping cart collides with the gutter and teeters over against a news paper dispenser where it just leans there all depressing-like.

"Aiming for the head is generally effective with them." A void suddenly says from behind Harley's right shoulder. A woman in black stands there, her hair framing her pale face that almost mirrors the same skintone as Harley's own... though the rest of her attire and appearance is far from 'bubbly'. She too has a gun in her hand, but its held at her right side. "Silver is best. Their blood cannot fight against the element when it enters their veins. It will seize their hearts and send them into convulsions, with death soon to follow." Her voice is sultry in tone, flavored with a European accent.

The werewolf is pinned by the truck, it has many broken bones but its still alive, and writhing as much as its able to.

Harley Quinn has posed:
Harley jumps at the sudden voice and spins around. "Jeeeezus, Lady, don't you knock?" She takes a settling breath and blows it out, creating a little Harley ghost of vapor. "I don't got silver, but I got a buncha these lil brass guys," she declares with a little wave of her gun. "Maybe if I shoot 'im a lot. Like...a LOT lot."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene's eyes are a skyblue in color, brighter than eye color generally comes in fact, and she's staring right at Harley's face. "Their regenerative powers are... quite remarkable." She says to the other as she walks past her and to the side of the steps.

The werewolf is still pinned by its starting to gain ground in shimmying itself loose from the truck as the old Donut Hole truck is about to be pushed forward enough to free it. She raises her handgun and aims down sights at its nose, then pulls the trigger. Needless to say what follows next is a gush of blood and brains out of the back of the wolven head, splattering across the sidewalk on the other side of where they stand.

Selene looks back to Harley then and lowers her gun. "Silver eradicates their healing."

Harley Quinn has posed:
"Well." Harley wrinkles her nose, her tone totally matter of fact. "THAT was disgusting. You hunt these things for a living or somethin'?" She finally tears her eyes away from the scene and back to the stranger. "Impressive splatter pattern, by the way. Kudos for that one."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene doesn't know this woman, but she doesn't rightly consider her a threat at this point in time either... she has a vigilante look about her... sort've a 'theme' that these heroic types like to have in America so she keeps her gun out but its held down near her right thigh. "Its more of a... war." Selene replies to the woman then as she walks toward the donut truck and... with one hand she starts to pull the truck away, which results in the dead Lycan's mangled body just crumbling to the ground in a series of squishy wet thuds.

Harley Quinn has posed:
"Ewww..." Harley watches the lumpy furry fleshbag slip down to the ground. "A war, huh? Are we JUST killing these things, or are we starting there and working our way up to a full-on invasion?" she asks, sounding a little skeptical. "I mean, I just wanna know how much time I have. Are we talkin' touching up makeup, or a week at the spa?"

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene reaches down to pick up the stair-crushed dead lycan and she drags it to a ditch beneath the train station. Its a muddy slop hole of a ditch, but it'll serve the purpose she needs it too. She gives the body a boot and the big wet nasty body starts to pinwheel down into the basin of black water where it splashes. "Its a shadow war." Selene says then in response to the woman with the bat. "We try to keep it in the dark to the rest of the world, because if we don't then everything becomes far more complicated." She says THIS while going to get the FIRST body that Harley had seen... and she's dragging it now to toss it down into that ditch with the other one. "This pack of Lycans has come here to... gain numbers amongst American's increased population in super powered individuals." She says all of this very clinical in tone.

Harley Quinn has posed:
"Well THAT'S just scary," Harley states simply. "Superpowered, like yyyyooouu..." She points a finger, wiggling it in a circle, toward the woman. "I'm a terror with a bat, but I ain't no superpower."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
The second body is flung down into the depths of that murky pool and then Selene stands over it, her hair laying against the sides of her face as she breathes softly. "No." Selene says to Harley. "You were in the wrong place at the wrong time." And with that a sudden light appears beside the woman in black, like she just sit off a flare of some sort. She tosses it down toward the werewolf corposes and within a second they're burning brightly, hotly, even in the water... which itself starts to boil around them. Selene stares, watches, for at least a few seconds before she looks back to Harley. "I'm sorry you've had to witness any of this."

Harley Quinn has posed:
Harley is standing next to the dark haired woman, looking down into the ditch, with a HUGE and possibly terrifying grin on her face. "Ohh no, don't apologize to me. That was totally rad. And now yer makin' soup. Seriously cool. Why have we never met??" She turns and extends a hand to the woman. "Haaaarley Quinn. Yer my new best friend."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
As the woman beside her says these words, Selene looks over to her and just peers at her. They're both in the dark, but their faces are illuminated by the burning werewolf bodies down below. This is an odd woman to be sure, Selene can see it in her face... she's not a vampire, but she does remind Selene of vampires she's known in the past, whole heartedly American, but still. Intriguing. "Selene." She says then as she reaches over to shake the other's hand, Selene's own is as cold as the November night air, which might feel quite like ice in Harley's grasp.

Harley Quinn has posed:
"Woosh, your hands are FREEZING, Selene!" Harley blonks, looking dumbfounded. "Cold as a November night, if I do say so myself. You wanna get some coffee? I seem to have misplaced my drink...."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
So much more that this woman doens't know about her. She smiles at her and if Harley's perceptive enough she'll take note of the hint of fangs to her teeth, but the smile is gone rather quickly. "Coffee sounds lovely." She says then before she gives one more look down into the bubbling pit of burned up werewolves. "I don't think these two need our attention much longer." A bit of spiteful humor there? Selene moves to turn then with the other. "Hopefully you never have to see one of their foul faces again... Though this city has been getting over-run of late, sadly so."
