Nick Fury has posed:
It's 2:30 pm and time for the shift change in the STAR Labs medical ward.

Bill the orderly completes his rounds, fluffing pillows, distributing meds, and otherwise checking on patients.

Not long after Bill leaves the room where Ginger Singh is held--perhaps ten minutes, tops--another orderly strolls in.

He's a man smaller in build, and he quietly closes the door behind him.

"Good afternoon, Ms. Singh. Just double-checking to see how you're doing," he says in a smooth, quiet voice.

Singh has posed:
Its been a long few days. Ginger Singh has been asleep since the accident. Her body was really banged up but... She is healing fairly well at least. Enough that many of the cuts and scrapes that she has are scabbed over. Slowly her eyes open to the empty room. In a purely mundane act she reaches out and stretches. As she does, her eyes close, so she doesn't see what happens. Her arms stretch far wider then they ought to. taking up nearly the width of the room. Then they quickly return to normal length. "How long was I out?" She asks herself.

Then the Orderly comes in. "Oh Good afternoon. I'm... I'm kinda sore... and I feel weird. Almost like I'm hollow."

Nick Fury has posed:
"Oh, not that long," the orderly replies, looking casually over the room. "Thirsty?"

He begins pouring a small glass of water.

"Hollow, you say?" he asks, almost absently, as he places the glass of water on a tray next to the girl's bed. "Should be nothing...but I can take a small sample to double-check."

The orderly smiles. "I'm sure you're probably tired of tests, too."

Singh has posed:
"I wouldn't know." Ginger laughs a little. "The last thing I remember is slamming my car into a wall." She shutters over it. Quietly she takes the water and sips it. "I don't even know where I am so, I can't really be tired. Why am I being tested?" She asks curiously.:

Then she takes another sip of her water. "Okay thats weird. Why does it feel like the water is moving around inside me?"

Nick Fury has posed:
"Oh," the orderly says with a shrug and a chuckle. "You know how it is. There's always something to check on. And if the water's not settling, it could be anything from..." He pauses, face scrunched in thought. "Stomach bug? Dehydration, maybe. When's the last time you used the restroom?"

The orderly offers a concerned look. "I can give a listen if it'll help. Could give me more info for the doc when I do my report."

Singh has posed:
Ginger Singh looks at the Orderly and frowns, "Umm, I just woke up? I have no idea when I last went to the bathroom. I don't feel sick. What day is it?" She frowns and leans forward trying to sit up a little more. "Last thing I remember was crashing into the side of STAR Labs. Where am I and what happened that I'd be tested on?"

Nick Fury has posed:
The orderly nods, putting up a hand, palm out. "It's okay, it's okay," he says.

"You're in the hospital. You've been out for a day or two. The crash was worrisome," he continues.

"The doctors have been running some tests to make sure everything's fine. You DID crash into a research facility, after all. Nothing to worry about. This is all just to make sure nothing was overlooked."

The orderly holds up a device that looks like an electronic thermometer. "For example: let me just check your temperature."

Singh has posed:
Ginger Singh sighs, "So a hospital, and I've been asleep for days. That means." She lifts her blanket and looks down under it. "Right. Cathater." She drops her blanket and looks at the intern. "Wanna know when I last went to the bathroom, check the bag or the bed pan" She shutters over that thought. "I obviously haven't been able to get up and run to the little girl's room in a few days."

Quietly she stretches to crack her back but, no popping is heard. None is felt either. She is drugged so, much of the pain she ought to be in is being numbed out.

Nick Fury has posed:
The orderly chuckles. "I can do that, sure. I just thought I'd be polite and ask first, in case you knew." He leans forward slightly. "Some of us try and practice bedside manner, even if we don't have the 'M.D.' after our names."

"At least you seem to be relaxed. That's good. My next question was going to be whether you needed another pillow. I guess not." The man smiles again.

"So," he adds, tapping the thermometer with a finger. "Open wide and I'll let you get back to napping. Or catching up on TV."

Singh has posed:
Ginger Singh nods, "Sorry, I'm not used to people being nice about this sort sort of thing. When My mom had her accident, they were kinda rude and stuff. But, at least people are cool here." She then laughs, "Yeah. Kinda hard to get worked up when they got ya on some good pain killers."

When he tells her to open up, she does. Once her temperature is taken, she responds, "HOnestly, I don't watch much tv. Well except cooking shows. Is there any hope of some coffee around here? Chocolate? Anything with caffeine in it?"

Nick Fury has posed:
Once the 'temperature' is taken, the orderly slips the thermometer back in his pocket.

"Oh, I'm sure there is," he says, moving to the window. He slowly opens the blinds and claps his hands. "You like your coffee with sugar or cream? Hazelnut flavor?"

Just then, another orderly--Josie, the evening shift--enters the room, looking down at a clipboard.

The man already in the room? He's disappeared out the window...and landing in a car, hovering a few feet below.

As it speeds off, the orderly touches his wristwatch, and his appearance changes, with a quiet *zurrt* sound, to that of a man with a patch over his left eye and wearing an all-white bespoke suit.

"Fury here," he says, moving to tap the car's central console. "Uploading data sample and en route to Olympus. ETA is T-10."

Singh has posed:
Ginger Singh smiles, "Black." she smiles. Then, things go strange. "Err. Okay. What just happened? I think maybe these meds are messing with my head. There was a male orderly in here right?" She asks curiously as she looks around. Quietly her hand reaches for the remote and the tv is promptly turned onto the cooking network.
