Star Shimmer has posed:
Today has been a day for the record books. The elephant in the room needed to be addressed. The Autumn's appartment needed cleaned out. So first thing in the morning. That is the first thing she did. She went there in her Nightingale armor. She went in through the window and took care of business. When all is said and done, a half dozen drugged out guys and two drugged out ladies were knocked the heck out. The police were called and things finally got cleared. Autumn was home.

As the young woman entered through her door this time with a few groceries... she realized right quick just how messy druggie squatters can be. "Ugh. So I get to clean today. This sucks!" She glances at her ring and a smirk forms, "or there is that."

Quickly she gets up and closes the blinds. Using her ring, A violet light roomba forms and goes cleaning up. Not to mention light construct scrubbing! "And that leaves me to this..." She gets out the communicator and begins looking over it. "Alright. I need to figure out how this thing works. They wouldn't have left it with my battery if it wasn't important." She starts looking over it, studying it like a foreign piece of tech because after all... It is!

Amarok has posed:
Looking the T emblazoned circle over proves that it is indeed perfectly circular. Furthermore, the center of it can be turned, and the back isn't entirely stable, suggesting it may be possible to remove it in some way.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn smirks. "Okay, this looks like it can be turned." She gives it a try. "Wait the T. I've seen this symbol before. Its shaped like..." She pauses and then facepalms. "Are you kiddding me. If he knew about that and still let it happen, I am going to give him sooo many noogies." She comments feeling more than a little flustered.

Amarok has posed:
After turning the centerpiece, it slides open automatically, revealing another note, and an input screen of numbers. The note say '168.92' and nothing else. Seems fairly cut and dry.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn smirks again, "Its a communicator. I got it. That has to be a frequency. So. Lets do this." She makes an adjustment and manages to set the frequency to 168.92. "Ummm Hello? You did something very dangerous to get my attention. You could have cost me my life with that one." She shudders.

Amarok has posed:
The comm crackles on, and a moment later, a connection crackles through, immediately followed by a voice, distant from the mic, "-swear to gahd, lemme go, you'll nevah see me again!" And then another voice, a soft monotone, much clearer, obviously closer, "I know. Luckily for you, time's up." Followed by the first voice screaming in fear and rapidly getting further away before the first voice chimes back in, this time clear as day, obviously directly into the mic, "Three south, four west, fifteen minutes." And then the other line disconnects.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn takes a deep breath. "That isn't good. I have 15 minutes to get three south and four west. Is it blocks or Miles... I hope its not states. That might actually be near impossible." With that she stops her constructs from cleaning and then... she's off! She opens the window and she takes off. She changes into her Star Sapphire outfit as she goes. If there is a life in the balance she can not risk wasting time and she can fly far faster than she can parkor.

It takes her a couple minutes to get the the location if its in blocks. Quickly she scans the building, "I need life signs. Anything."

Amarok has posed:
Sadly, it would seem Autumn is completely off course. After thirteen minutes have passed, the comm crackles back to life, "I'm disappointed. A good runner could've made that in under a minute." Calls the monotone. For shame, Autumn, keeping your stalker waiting like that. For shame.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn blinks. "Shit. Buildings!" She launches and goes flying. She is going to catch some heat from Batman for this one. She may have broken the sound barrier within the city and of course a few windows shatter and a car or two get destroyed. "Dammit."

The good news, in less than a minute she is there and entering the building. "Hello?" Her ring lights and she looks around.

Amarok has posed:
On top of the office building just a few doors down from Autumn's complex, stands Amarok, leaned against a wall and casually tossing what appeares to be a detonator up and down. As she draws close, he pushes off from the wall to stand up straight, disappearing the detonater with a sleight of hand, "....B." He announces in the same monotone heard over the comm.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn goes rushing in towards Amarok. Her attention not on the man so much as on the rooms. She hopes to gods that one of them is just lettered B. Libby, Active Scanning. If you ping the location I need to know and I need to know a few minutes ago!" She is hurrying along.

Amarok has posed:
Almost before Autumn is done saying it, her ring replies, "Explosive detected, Nightingale. Composition C-4. Location, your right hand." Amarok simply stands there, staring blankly at her, which since his mask has no facial features, rather goes without saying, "....Retraction. C." He says in his unshifting monotone, "....Also, your ring is talking....You should get that looked at." Maybe his statement WASN'T a condemnation, but rather just a joke. Who can say?

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn's eyes go wide, "Oh gods." She quickly wraps the communicator in a light construct and launches. Plan B is a heck of a plan! She takes off into the air. "Come on come on, Love give me strength!" She is ascending into the sky and accelerating as she goes. "For Hearts long lost and full of fright, for those alone in blackest night. Accept our ring and join our fight, Love conquers all with violet light!" With that she launches even faster into upper atmosphere.

Amarok has posed:
Amarok is left standing there, staring up at the sky as Autumn takes off into the sky. A moment later, the comm crackles back on, "....Ok, D+, but still salvagable.....What are you doing?" Comes the monotone, now cracked a bit to let a bit of confusion through.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn smirks, "Getting rid of the explosive." She keeps going. "Or I can bring it back and we can see if my love is stronger than C4. Either way I'm betting its a blast!" She comments as she continues flying.

Amarok has posed:
Amarok pauses a moment more before replying, "...Well it's not like there's much there. I'm not sure I even used enough to break the damn thing." And the monotone is back, nice and safe, let's ya know things're normal.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn nods, "True. One moment." She thinks a moment. She's not very familiar with just how much damage such a small quantity of C4 can actually do. "Wait... Its not the communicator itself. The C4 is inside the device." Now her own brand of genius begins to show. "Libby, I've never seen a piece of tech like this. Any info would be appreciated." She states as she tries to pull the piece out from earlier that she initially turned.

Amarok has posed:
The ring does a brief scan before reporting back, "The explosive is attached to the device's circuit board. Access can be gained by pressing down on the back and pushing up." Once that's done, the C4 is in plain sight, and yeah...There's not much there. Despite the communicator being made mostly of plastic, what's there very well may not be enough to even blow off the casing. However, the bomb is molded all around the circuit board, removing it would take quite a bit of time...And would probly ruin the board.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn quickly opens the back and sees the nightmare that is the c4 wrapped around the circuit board. "Okay. Plan B. Find the detonator. Scan the whole building. I am going to keep this in a field for now just in case things go crazy." With that she begins rocketing her way down to the building below. She's got a goal in mind. She initially thought the whole thing was made of C4. That would have been a whole lot of trouble.

Amarok has posed:
The ring quickly and easily deduces the location of the detonator. Amarok has it....As if that weren't obvious. He's still standing there, arms crossed, looking up into the sky, scanning for Autumn, ".....I did want to do other things tonight...." Comes his somewhat muffled monotone from over the comm.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn lands right in front of man, "Good for you, Deactivate the c4 and you can go back to your other things." She looks at him, "Who were you hurting." She is not a happy young woman. The fact that she just burned so much energy all because this guy wants to be a jerk tends to put a damper on her good mood.

Amarok has posed:
Amarok simply stares for a moment, making a show of looking Autumn up and down, several times, before replying, "...Couldn't if I wanted to. It's there in case you failed the test, or otherwise proved unworthy. As for who...Well...I think you already know him well enough. He is the one that got away, afterall." What a fantastic explanation, in that it explained nothing.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn she cants her head, "The one that got away? That tells me a fat lot of nothing. Wait you don't mean the guy who took off running the other night and managed to escape do you?" She does remember but honestly, he was not exactly really high on the list of threats. "Tell me about this test. I'm kind of curious."

Amarok has posed:
Amarok nods ever so slightly, "....He was in the 'kennel' as he called it, because he was the....trainer. Suffice to say, he wont be training anything anymore." He says as he unfolds his arms, revealing still fresh blood glinting off his hands and wrists, "As for the test, I'm told you expressed an interest in joining The Titans. I decided it best to put your abilities and character to the test....I wont lie, you scored the highest of your makeshift group. As you have also now passed the customary trial, I am willing to sponsor your request, if you wish to make it. If not, simply return the communicator, and that will be the end of it." He holds out his less bloody hand, palm up.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn looks at the guy, "Wait, you killed him? Thats kinda rough... Don't get me wrong, there is no love lost but... maybe he could have been rehabilitated..." She sighs and looks at Amarok. "The Titans. Did Robin know? I'm curious. Especially given that he seemed to know nothing about this happening. "

Amarok has posed:
Amarok replies, "No. I just made him wish I did. He'll walk with a limp, and piss through a straw, for the rest of life, but he'll live....In Blackgate. And no, I didn't tell him. He just happened to show up. Same with the other one....Need to get a communicator to her. She did good in there." He pauses, then gestures with his outstretched hand, "....I'm still waiting on an answer."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn smiles, "Well it would be a shame to give up such a fine piece of tech. I mean, sure it needs a little cleaning in the internals but, I think I will hang on to this. I do want to join. I know I could use some help reaclimating to the Earth and I can help others."

Amarok has posed:
Amarok nods and retracts his hand, "Dont get used to it. That's a test comm. If the other Titans vote you in, you'll get a real one. No bombs, and pre-coded channels. For now, keep that one nearby. I'll call when I have an answer for you.....As an aside though..." He points at Autumn's ring, "....What /IS/ that?" Once more, the monotone cracks. He seems genuinely in the dark about it....No pun intended.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn smiles, "This is a Star Sapphire Power Ring. They are very rare. Similar to the Green Lantern ring but drawing upon the user's love as opposed to their will. It allows me my powers. When you took that violet glowing lantern? You took my means of charging it. It could have gone dead in the middle of a fight and then I'd have been in a bit more trouble than I'd like. I am not helpless without the ring but it sure helps."

Amarok has posed:
Amarok stares as blankly as ever, several long awkward seconds passing before he replies, "....I dont know what any of those things are...I thought the shiney thing was just some weird lava lamp. It looked expensive, so it seemed good bait."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn sighs, "Okay, This little ring, in the right hands is a very powerful weapon. I mean on a galactic scale. Not just anyone can use it. You've probably heard of the Green Lanterns... Hal Jordan and company? They are like space cops. They use their rings to make sure things remain in relative harmony. I use mine to spread the violet light of love."

Amarok has posed:
Amarok simply stares at the ring for a moment, ".....So...You're like Starfire?..." He pauses then looks Autumn over again, "....Please tell me you clothes aren't going to be an issue. I cant deal with another one."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn shakes her head, "Not quite. Starfire is a Tamaranean. Libby, explain Tamaranean culture please." She smiles and just goes quiet.

"Tamaraneans. Inhabitants of the Planet Tamaran. War-like in nature but very passionate, They enjoy a fight as well the acts of physical connection. Nudity is fully acceptable. On a side note, Do not give them sweet things as their taste is reversed from humans."

She laughs, "On... the Star Sapphire base planet... nudity and such are pretty common. Being that close to the main battery tends to really do a number on us. But I stick to the customs of the planet I am on."

Amarok has posed:
Amarok nods, "Good. Going unarmored is only useful when trying to go unnoticed. At all other times, it's a liability." So cold and direct, "....Well, the night's still young, and the city never sleeps. So neither do I." He says as he turns away, stopping after a few feet before glancing back, "....On a side note...How does one get one of these superweapons of yours?" Ahhh, the sound of Pandora's Box opening. Isn't it so sickly sweet?

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn looks at Amarok, "If I have this ring on, I can fly around buck naked and be safe. You could shoot me and you wouldn't hit me. Its why I glow. It shields me." She snickers. "Not saying I ever will. Its just an example."

She snickers, "okay Well, be safe out there! I need to go fish out some plastic explosive." With that she lifts off and flies out of the building.
