Medbay Homecomings

Location:	X-Men Base - Medical
Synopsis:	Remy comes to check up on Bobby and get the lowdown on Rogue's rescue.

Iceman has posed:
There was a lot of activity around the X-Base late last night. With the return of the Blackbird was also a +1 - in this case one Rogue. There was also a few wounded, among those Bobby Drake. Rogue and Bobby were taken into medbay - and that is where he can be found this morning, sitting on the edge of his bed, staring down at his left arm, working his fingers in wonder. He's treating the arm as if it's brand-new and he's just kind of lost in thoughts.

Gambit has posed:
"'Ey kid, t'ink fast." Remy says coming into the medbay and tossing a blue and white box in Bobby's direction. If he doesn't "think fast" likely the box will softly hit the Iceman in the chest and fall into his lap. It's a box of Twinkies. "In dis place wit' Big Blue attending, dose t'ings 'bout as valuable as cigarettes in prison." It's a well known fact Remy /hates/ the med lab, but still a teammate was down..

Iceman has posed:
Catching the box, Bobby blinks - he uses his new arm to catch it and he's just confused. "It's so weird. I saw it get blown off last night, and yet, here it is. Good as new." there's a shake of the mutant's head as he sits up more formally to open the box, grabbing one of the sponge cakes. "Hank move love these things, but I get dibs." he says with a smirk.

"Don't know where Rogue where went to. Just know she wasn't very happy about being taken and stuffed in a body bag." he says, with a small frown. "Don't rightfully blame her."

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau nods slightly, "C'n 'magine dat would be pretty disorienting, oui." He says with a smirk as the young man opens the twinkies and dives in. "Ah was in de city when y'all ame back, so Ah ain' got much of de story yet. Save yah were 'urt and also de reason Rogue /c'n/ complain 'bout bein' stuffed into a body bag.."

Iceman has posed:
"Scott and Jean must be arguing over who's filing the report." Bobby digs into the first filled spongy cake with gusto, picking some of the frosting from his fingers and snacks on that. Then he returns his attention to the issue at hand. "We went back to Chadwell? Cardwell. I don't even know, anyway. We went in and found.. Aces?" he asks, glancing to Remy for confirmation.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau nods slightly at the mention of the big puppy he bought for Rogue some time ago. He doesn't say anything just idlely shuffling a deck of cards to let the young man speak.

Iceman has posed:
"Anyway, Aces was out in the street - and they were trying to tow away Rogue's car." Bobby tucks away the rest of the Twinkie, and sets down the box. "There was this warehouse nearby - Jean couldn't get a read inside. Some type of psychic dampner. I went up high and saw that there was some women in there that looked like they were dead and being put in body bags to be transported. Anyway, we hit the place. There was a lot of gun fire."

There's a glance at his arm at that. "Anyway. Good guys won. Found Rogue in a trunk of a car - there was some kind of dampner on her as well - Scott blew it up, can't really figure out what happened with that. And we came home."

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau nods slightly and the cards seem to vanish up his sleeve. "Well Ah owe yah, foh gettin' Rogue outta dare." he says extending his hand to the other mutant. It's said with the slightest hint of formality, as if to say that it's not just an expression, but an obligation from the Cajun. There is a debt, Remy will pay it. "An' yah arm?"

Iceman has posed:
"We're a team - and kinda like family. Comes with the territory." Bobby does accept the handshake. "Well, for an arm that was completely blown off last night, it seems to be doing pretty well now." he admits with a small chuckle. "But I'll keep it in mind should I ever need any help, Remy."

Gambit has posed:
"Do dat." he says amused and leans back agienst the counter. "Still a 'ell of a way to learn yah basically invulnerable. Scott gonna wanna take advantage of dat. I'd be careful letting any part of mah body Ah'm really attached to get separated if Ah was yah."

Iceman has posed:
"Scott wouldn't do that!" Bobby is defensive of the man - but really, in the back of his mind, Remy may have a point. "And it's not invulnerability. Just means when I inevitibly get my heart broke, I know I can pull the pieces back together again." There's a hint of amusement in his voice. Forever the comic.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau gives the younger man a look that clearly states "You are either very naive or stupid to say that." however instead he just shakes his head a bit. "Broken 'earts are easy ta get past. Not'ing get yah past de last one like de next one." He then lets a bit of a smile onto his lips as he adds "T'inks foh savin' me de trouble of lookin' foh de next one 'owevah, non?"

Iceman has posed:
There's a chuckle at that. "You're welcome." And Bobby may be just naive enough. "I'll let you get back to trying to figure out where she went to. And I'll just ponder this for a bit." He gives a little wave with the repaired arm, before moving to lean back again.
