Making Tea

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie is in the kitchen, tonight. He decided he wanted some tea, seeing that it was just the last glass. He does the responible thing and starts making some new. He is sitting at the table now, letting the tea seep.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue quiet comes into the kitchen in her late-night clothes, a black tshirt, some black sleeping pants and some bright yellow socks on her feet, long gloves up past her elbows also in black. She moves toward the counter and sets down an empty soup bowl then spies Sam. She smiles at him. "Heya, Sam'o." She says at the other mutant. "Whats the haps down here?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "Seems you and Ah hit the tea pretty hard was a glass left, Ah took half and left you half if you want it. got a pot on to make some more." He will pusha chair out "Want to have a seat?"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue picks up her bowl and takes it to the sink where she rinses it out and then puts it into the washer with the others, along with the spoon she'd used. She smiles at him. "Thats sweet of ya." She says then before she moves to gather up the remainder of the tea and fills it up into a glass. "I can sit for a bit." She moves toward the chair and lowers down onto it, crosses her legs at the knees and leans back to sip from the glass.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods and says "So, mind if Ah ask, what was that blow up with someone pretending to be you and messing with the Avengers?" He ask her, as he sips his tea. "Someone trying to give you a bad name personally or something more overall mutant based?

Rogue has posed:
Rogue gently shakes her head at the question. "I don't know. Honestly." She draws in a breath and shoots it back out sharply. "I saw something in a subway tunnel down in Brooklyn. Went t'follow it and it just kinda... came at me. A shadow at first. Then it turned inta a person, me... And flew off! I chased it but I couldn't keep up with it. That was last Friday. Then come Sunday its spotted on a rampage in the city." She shakes her head back and forth. "Its in the basement now. Still on Ice I think... Like some kinda creepy nightmare."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hmms and says "Maybe Dr. McCoy can make somethign of it. Don't sound like anything or anyone Ah have met. So, mind if Ah ask, what made ya decide to leave the Avengers and head back here?"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue shows a light smile. "I hope he can. Though we need Jean t'look inta this weird evil twin's head and see whats inside..." She then glances away at the Avengers question and back to him. She grins lightly. "I got sick'a the city and all its politics, really. Everyone there has a deep rooted political opinion on what should or shouldn't be done about 'mutants' and I frqnkly got tired of that. I wanted t'come back here cause its quieter, people here try t'have fun more and not worry about presenting themselves as some kinda... paragon'a social morality. I'mma country girl, ya know... I like things calm and peaceful."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smirks, a bit and says "Ah aint sure about calm and peacefull here. " He chuckles a bit to this but adds. "Ah am thinking about seeing if there is any interested in a 4H and doing a garden this spring. You interested in helping out?

Rogue has posed:
Rogue sips her tea again and she shows a little grin. "I assure ya, its better than how it is in Manhattan. That city is dealin' with destruction and mayhem on a nearly hourly basis. I was so busy flyin' around tryin' t'stop shit from gettin' worse so much I didn't even have much time for school work. I mean I had t'catch a gosh dang helicopter from crashin' after some weird alien cloud things started matin' in mid air overtop'a town! Manhattan has tons'a problems and I just... I got stuff I'd rather focus on."

With another heavy exhale she nods her head once to him. "I'd love t'do that. That kinda stuff is the fun stuff in life."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "Cool, Ah wish Dani was here, would love to see her teaching the kids about horsemanship, and care with Brightwing, think that would have been hillarious."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue laughs lightly at the other's words. "I've never gotten to spend much time around her. But hey... I've seen Brightwing... if thats her ride, then she's gotta be a blast, right?" She grins over at Sam then. "So what have you been up to otherwise? Anything fun at all?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie shakes his head, and says "Not really, helped out a mutant family the other day, one of the kids powers were going haywire, buy Illyana, Erik, and a guy .. well gorilla I met in town helped them out.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue laughs again at this. "I've met a few talkin' Gorllias in town myself. And a talkin' snow leopard... and a turtle once too. Thats what I'm talkin' about with the city. Its crazy! Overwhelmingly so. Its exciting for sure, no questions there, but man... sometimes I just wanna relax for a day or two and not have something legit, blow up, outside my bedroom window while I'm tryin' t'sleep in. Ya know?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods and says "Oh speaking of odd things, any chance you could set up a time Ah could talk to Thor? Ah was wondering what happened with the dwarves with the whole Asguard thing.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue stands up from the chair then and she takes the last swig from the glass of tea before she moves to the sink to put it away. "I can try. I can contact the Avengers Mansion and give them your information and where he might reach you. He's... a hard one t'get aholda, and the last time we hung out he tried t'sacrifice me t'a giant snake god thing... So I wanna see'im myself. T'punch him in his beautiful face..."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie chuckles and stands a s well, to head over to start making the tea. "Well it seems most of the Asguardians are a bit... adventure first and concequences afterwards. Ah think you would like the dwarves, forgive the pun but they are more down to earth folk.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue laughs at this pun. "Good one..." She says. "Groan inducing, but still, I approve." She rinses the glass out and puts it away before she turns around then. "Yeah. Thor's a good guy, but... you nailed it on the head. Adventure first, consequence second. I don't think he thought I'd actually die though, thats why he recruited me for it... he knows what kinda power I got. But yeah, I'll see if I can't get him t'swing around, make an appearance here." She sighs. "God, all the girls here would lose their damn minds..."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hmms and says "Maybe we can give a speach on Norse history or something to make it a bit of a school thing." He will looks over and says "Tea been sweet enough when Ah am the one to make it?"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue pushes off of the counter and she reaches out to pat Sam on his shoulder, her hand still gloved and entirely safe. "Ya make a mean jug'a team, Sammy. So yeah, don't stop. I'm gettin' used to it being in the fridge when I wake up." She offers him a smile and starts toward the doorway. "I'm off t'bed though. I'll let ya know if Thor is headed this way hopefully... he may not even tell anyone, which is kinda his style!"
