627/The Tour

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
    Mission Monitor Duty. What every member of the Justice League loved to do. Today, it was Hal Jordan, currently the Vice Chair of the Justice League. It was also his opportunity to show off the Watchtower to one of his fellow members of the Justice League. Standing beside the Zeta Tube, Hal waits for the "bing" of the new arrival, and with a large smile, acknowledges the new arrival

    When the sensor approves her as a member of the League, Hal steps back, and waits for Black Canary to materialize into the headquarters of the Justice League! It was pretty quiet above the Earth in the satellite that serves as their HQ. In this case, a perfect opportunity to just relax, and be a tour guide. Better than dealing with the alien race/invader of the week!

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Lance shivers at the teleportation, and then stares out the window at space, eyes wide. "Wow - how tough is that glass?" she asks curiously. "Where exactly are we?" she asks, looking around. "Earth orbit? How can stepping into that spotlight in the Hall of Justice get me up here?" She frowns. "And there's WAAAAAAY too many computer monitors around... I hate those thigns."

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Lance nods. "Thank you," she muses. "I might be able to teach even you a few things," she murmurs. "I can imagine the burden of that power - and I know Superman is humble about his gifts. But he could easily become ruler of the world if he wanted - there's very little that can stop him." She smiles faintly. "And I do try. Oh, I just did the grand opening of Sherwood Florist. I'll show you around sometime."

Canary just continues with the tour, pondering. She is rather humbled by all this. "To think, a girl from the bad side of Gotham would be up here." She shrugs. "Alright, that's enough with the pity tour. What do you do up here beside... watch?"

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
    "You are welcome." Hal continues the tour. "I expect you could teach us a few things!" Hal nods, and listens. "It can be a burden, and a blessing, like anything else. Just as your gifts can be both. S'all good!" Hal hits a button, and the doors open to the next area. "Oh, I don't know. I think we could stop him. AFter all, we have a Batman." Hal laughs and says, "I am just glad he's on our side. Superman's is unique."

    "A florist! Well, now, I will have to visit you there! I can use a place where I can get a discount on some roses for when I am in the doghouse." Hal laughs, and adds, "The bad side of Gotham, huh? We can't all be born in Metropolis." Moving forward, Hal says, "Well, practice I guess. I catch up on my movies and TV. I usually patrol sector 2814, and I am away for weeks at a time, so I miss the latest Game of Thrones or hockey game. Batman has all the cable and satellite channels hooked up."

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Lance shrugs. "I just have an antenna. I'm not spending any money on those ripoff companies." She shrugs. But yes, a special discoutn for Justice League people will be offerent." She winks. "Not free of course." She ponders. "Wait - you have a special one in your life, Hal? Do tell."

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
    "Yeah, Batman pays for it. Not much on free downloads. Doesn't want undue attention and all that." Hal moves to the last room, as the automatic lights come on. ""Ha! Fishing I see. No, not really. I have dated someone on and off for several years but our...occupations have taken us apart." Hal looks a little embarrassed and decides to change the subject. "So, welcome to the League and to the Watchtower. Any questions?" The end of the tour. That seemed to go by quick. Hal is smiling, and waves to the mission monitor room as the last location, but it was obvious he didn't want to talk about his love life.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Lance isn't the prying type. She drops it and states, "Well, regardless of motivation, I'll offer half off to Justice League members." She smiles. "I've also thought about putting on a black wig when not crimefighting. I have naturally black hair but... it's hard to fight comfortably in a wig so I bleached my hair... but I still miss the black hair look. I've been exploring options." She hmmmmms. "What's it like? The ring? When you first wore it - was it... what was it like?"

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
    "Half off isn't bad." Hal runs with it, relieved to move on. "Black hair. Blonde hair. It all looks great. Do whatever you feel comfortable with, and I am sure it will look great." Hal nods. "The ring." Holding it up as it glows softly in the dim light. The greenish tinge to the light glows eerily off his uniform and mask. "That is a question no one has asked before." Hal pauses, as he tries to put his feelings of the first time into words. "It was...a revelation. It was like you had just drank five espressos, all at once, and all of the lights of the world came on at once, without blinding you. It was...exhilirating and humbling at the same time. Like a door opened, and the universe was on the other side."

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Lance nods. "I remember that feeling when I learned kung fu," she muses. "And... learned how to harness my Canary Cry." She smiles softly. "Did you know that this ability of mine has a neat side-effect?" she asks. She then steps into a shadow and growls, in a perfect imitation of Batman, "I am Batman. I am the night." Her voice sounded JUST like his. She steps back out, winking, as one of the techs shot an odd look her way.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Hal Jordan nods and says, "Yeah. It is when you harness that inner power, and make it...happen. It is exhilirating." Hal smiles. "No, I never knew. Side effect?" Hal listens, laughs and says, "Oh, that would be good at parties! That was just like him!" Hal grabs his stomach, and shakes. "We need to try that out...it would freak Superman out big time! Or Wonder Woman!" Ha; shakes his head, and rubs his eyes. "Nice!"
