Tinyplot: Siege of Olympus

Hela has posed:
With Thor out and about on business of his own, Hela had actually taking a break from her own machinations to try and find Loki in New Asgard. It irked her that the younger brother seemed to have been avoiding her. But while everyone was making the picture of a nice family, she wasn't going to break decorum, leaving her to let out a bit of anger in the martial fields. She'd set up a few target dummies which she's busily obliterates with each swing of her sword. An entirely dark weapon, with sharp design. In her whirling motion, her cloak billows and swooshes which way.

Ares has posed:
There is a crackling of energy in the air, seeming electrical in nature by the fracturing sparks that start at a central point then open outwards. This reveals a circular opening in reality. On the opposite side is what looks like bunker of some sort, with a low ceiling. Within is a towering shape of a man dressed in black armor.
The man steps through the portal onto the martial field, setting off any sort of alarm system the Asgardians might have in place. He is dressed in black armor in a Greek style, the helmet a bit more Spartan in aspect as only his eyes and a small strip of flesh from nose to chin is visible. He is wearing pretty much every weapon he could possibly carry. There are holsters on each hip with guns inside them. A sword at the waist. A huge battle axe across his back. A bandolier with grenades across his barrel chest. There are even fully automatic guns hanging on straps from his shoulders. It looks like he opted for /all/ the toys when picking today.
Spying Hela, he calls out in a booming voice. "I seek Thor of Asgard!"

Hela has posed:
The crackling has Hela thinking that Thor may have come back to New Asgard, and she stops her training to look for him, when instead she finds a portal to another place entirely. When she sees who is coming, Hela raises her hand, to signal no need for alarm.

"You arrive at an ill time to find him, it seems him and his brother are indisposed." Hela has this smirk on her lips as she speaks the words, likely a failure to hide what she makes of the fact, before offering, "you are facing Hela of Asgard, you may speak to me."

Ares has posed:
For a moment, the man takes his measure of her. There is no dismissing her though. Instead, she is spoken to with respect. "Hail, Hela of Asgard. I bring a warning to you and your people." His voice is more quiet than it had been though there is still a booming quality to it, even in at lower levels. His voice is a deep bass. "I am Ares, God of War. Formerly of Olympus." He still doesn't consider himself one of them anymore. "The Mount is besieged by interlopers of an ancient Japanese Pantheon seeking to take advantage of their weakness. Asgard has faced much turmoil of late. I would warn you to be on guard should they, or another, seek to take advantage of your vulnerable state." Not weakened as that might be misconstrued to warriors.

Hela has posed:
"Formerly...?" Hela asks with intrigue, as the sword she held in her hand dissipates into thin air, as if it never was in her hand. "I was unaware you had a threat similar to Ragnarok, held over Olympus, this is grave news." Of course she's less versed in the politics of the Olympian, she was kinda busy being imprisoned and betrayed by her father for a centuries or more. Hela frowns quite severely at the news, "Gods of Shinto seek to fued?" Hela scoffs, "I will not let such an insult stand...how fares Olympus? And more specifically," she levels her gaze in a direct stare into Ares' eyes, "does War reach out to Death for assistance? Our spheres are closely knit in the cycle of life and death."

Ares has posed:
Ares' eyes narrow slightly. "Olympus calls for the aid of the son they wish to deny exists. Thus, they are in dire straights. I am only called upon when the battles turn against the Mount. I would not go were it not for extenuating circumstaces." He gives a shrug, dismissive about the situation outwardly though there may be more going on within his emotional and mental reactions.
"The enemy has sealed their fate and they will be coming to the Realms of Death soon. This is not your battle but all assistance would be welcome. I am seeking allies before we 'port to Olympus and turn the tide of battle."

Hela has posed:
"Funny, that sounds familiar," Hella says in quite an unpleasant tone, apparently it could be worthwhile to have some mundane conversation with Ares when time permits. At the very least, it sounds like she might have cause to spread some death around, and that is always delicious.

Hela inclines her head, and with a gesture, a dark throny, antlery crown forms over her head, "oh I was robbed of my revenge on the little dark elf that destroyed Asgard, I am still seeking someone to unleash my fury on...I will gladly offer my aid to War, but only because you were the one making the request." She has her standards after all. She knows how the Olympians treat Hades after all.

Ares has posed:
"Soon, you will have all the death you could desire. But there is one limitation to our alliance," Ares says as he reaches a hand back, the portal opening behind him. This time it shows the lawn of the Avengers Mansion. "The leader of the enemy, Amatsu-Mikaboshi, is mine.." He tilts his head slightly to look over his shoulder at her, eyes blazing red. "They will pay for taking my son."
And with that he turns to the portal. "I have two days to gather allies. You are welcome to journey with me as I call upon others or meet me here two days hence."

Hela has posed:
"Ooooh, someone made it personal," Hela muses, as she looks at Ares about to enter his next portal, "I think I might enjoy the distraction...I shall go with you," she agrees and moves to join him. This excrusion is ought to be worthwhile indeed. Pity someone else will pay for Malekith's actions, but at least someone will pay.
