Samuel Guthrie comes walking in from the garage, now that he has been off pizza delivery duty for a bit, the taste for pizza is coming back. He has brought 4 different ones, some crazy bread, and even some wings home tonight. He heads to the bar to sit stuff out.

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel Grey Walks into the rec room looking around she sniffs " What's that? " she says even as she moves over to give Sam a hug and half drape herself onto him to peek at one kind of nibbles he has. The best thing so far fro her about this time period the food soo much different nummy food!

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and says "Well, we got mat lovers pizza, supreme, veggie lovers, and a cheese lovers." he shows her each pizza, and says "Crazy bread." He motions towards it, and Wings, got some BBQ ones and some hot ones." He will hold her close, and kiss her in greeting "How has your day been?

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel Grey Wraps her arms around him and kisses him back " I'm okay , So I understand meat lovers, and Veggie and cheese duh.. what's supreme? " She peers " What makes this crazy bread it looks like bread with cheese " . She sniffs at it. She looks to the wings " ohh those look new " to Rachel most stuff is new and always fun to learn about she could read minds but it would ruin the fun of learning about it.

Samuel Guthrie rubs her back, and says "I think it is called crazy cause people go crazy over it ussually really popular. Supreme, has meats and veggies, he lists the ones the local place uses for supreme. He points at the wings, and says this you will probably like, these if you like realy spicy hot things you might like them

Rachel Grey Blinks " What's spicy ?" She cocks her head " I mean I heard logan use that before to describe some people " She clearly has no idea about spicy food or maybe she does but she's never heard the term before . But she nods " Okay to like meat lovers is all meat... veggies is veggies and supreme is a mix I get it "

Samuel Guthrie nods, and will get a glass of milk from the mini fridge setting it on the bar, and then dips his finger tip in the hot sause, and offers it to Rachel. "It is going to be hot, the milk will help stop it some."

Rachel Grey Chomp onto the finger and tries out the sauce she blinks a few times and hmmms as if thinking before she licks her lips " Yummy " she says softly " That is diffrent I like it "

Samuel Guthrie smiles and says "Some people do and they make diferent levels of heat on them, these are more a medium hot, as most people seem to eat the hotter ones either on a dare or prove they can.

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel Grey Licks her lips and frowns " I can see where hotter can be intresting but after a while that would be I dunno just pain " She licks her lips " too much pain .. why ? "

Samuel Guthrie says, "Well like Ah was saying some do it as a dare, some do it to show how tough they are, some think it can impress their ladies." He will rip a piece of the crazy bread for her to try."

Rachel Grey Chomps on the bread and blinks "Yummy like cheese pizza just no sauce or diffrent sauce " she looks to the two " What's the diffrence? "

Samuel Guthrie says, "It is more a garlic butter than tomato sauce is sorta a cross between garlic bread and cheesy bread"

Rachel Grey Blinks and frowns " So You know taking something and adding one little diffrence and calling it someting else dosn't make it special... I notice that alot about this time.. you have a TON of stuff that's basicly the same and each of them is saying thier special.. and they arn't "

Samuel Guthrie says, "Maybe not to much but also, with food giving it a special name helps people order it faster, and with fast food, they want to get you in and out as qick as possible.""

Rachel Grey Blinks " I guess " she frowns " What makes it fast food ? " she cocks her head " I heard about that but I still took like 30 min to get food so how is it fast? "

Samuel Guthrie says, "Well pizza, is probably the slowest of the fast, unless your going to some place that already has it made. But like most burger joints, if you go in or through the drive through you have your food normally in under 5 minutes." He will fill two plates, and lead her to the couch, and set the plates on the coffee table."

Rachel Grey Frowns " then it's not fresh ' she says " i like fresh food.. I liked learning to cook kitty showed me how I really liked it "

Samuel Guthrie smiles and says "It is freshish, but also most things at burger joints are quick cook things, anbd they do have a time limit of how long they can keep it before throwing it away. The wastefull thing is they should be giving it to homeless or something and some do, but not really enough." There is 4 pizzas, wings, and cheesy bread on the bat. He is walking back to the couch where Rachel is, and says "Ah will have to help ya with a few, but the real master cook Ah know is my ma.

Negasonic Teenage Warhead has posed:
Ellie knew she smelled pizza walking by, and also felt Rachel's presence in the rec room. She pokes her shaved head in and squints a little bit. There is a bit of listening. "Fresh food is great... fast food like he said is just fast.. it isn't like .. dangerous bad. Well okay it totally is bad for your health if you eat too much of it but it tastes great sometimes." she meanders over to look over the pizzas and wings and cheese bread, then snags a wing and takes a bite. "Good ol southern food Kentucky?"

Rachel Grey Blinks and frowns " I thought southern food was like columbian? " She clearly is trying to learn about food but dosn't know that much . She looks over " I promised myself to learn about food the hard way and no cheat "

Samuel Guthrie smiles a bit and says "Thats south american food. Southern, at least in the states is food like Rogue, Gambit and Ah grew up on. Fro Fried chicken, tater salad, biscuits, some different types of BBQ, Gumbo, shrimp and grits, red beans and rice, collard greens, and then when ya get up into the mountains and back woods, you find folks eatting Possum, coon, bear, pretty much anything they can shoot that aint shooting back, and poke salad, and other wild veggies, and greens.

Negasonic Teenage Warhead has posed:
Ellie drops a wing onto a plate she plans to dispose of wings on now "Mm spicy." she notes and picks up another one now. "Biscuits and gravy... biscuits and plum jam... mm jam.." then she blinks "I do not want Possum. I'll be honest that is a step too far." she steps over while taking a bit of wing and wraps one arm around Rachel giving a hug hello before going back to get a third wing now.

Samuel Guthrie looks over and says "I am not the biggest possum, or coon fan myself, eat them if we aint got nothing else, me personally, for wild meat, am more rabbit, squirell, bear and of course deer. Aint done much hunting up here though to be honest, would have to see who all would be willing to eat it before Ah did."

Rachel Grey Looks over " I dunno after you've had rat everything tastes better.. Hell dogs a step up " She says honestly " Squirell is tasty but not enough meat your always hungry " . The way she talks it's clear she had it before.

"I think I am likely a hard pass on possum or raccoon. Also squirrell. I could probably do rabbit. Definitely deer." there is a shrug from Ellie. "I think if you went Deer hunting or Elk hunting .. people would eat it Kentucky." she finishes on the fourth wing and picks up a slice of pepperoni pizza now. Not ethically opposed to meat at least it seems.

Samuel Guthrie is sitting on the couch beside Rachel, chatting with her and Ellie. There is 4 pizzas on the bar as well as cheesy bread, and wings." He will look over to Elli. "Squirrel aint bad, but yea need a mess of them for a meal. "Aint ate dog that I know of, and would be a bit wierd besides the normal western hang up about not eatting is, as know someone who is sometimes a wolf.

Rachel Grey Shrugs " when your starving you don't care it's food you don't care what it is " she sighs " I hate to eat dog food for years " she smiles " that's why I like this time period this stuff " she floats over a slice to herself " This is tasty "

     The newest student at the school for the gifted had been resting most of the day, but it was time for him to exit out of the med wing. He was dressed in casual pants with a new Xavier's School shirt, his parents had yet to send stuff from Metropolis.

  Brian had been simply walking around and checking the place out when he heard talking in the rec room. He peeked in, and waved. "Hey." He says, turning the corner and giving a small smile. "Sam, right?" He had a little trouble with faces and names, and of course meeting all new folk. He was still bandaged on his left arm, the others were all covered, his face still had some abrasions on it.

Samuel Guthrie looks over and says "Ah Brian, yes, come in join us, have something to eat, if they aint got you on restricted foods." He will look to the ladies and says "Ladies, this is Brian Carerra, our newest student. Brian, this is Rachel, and Ellie." He looks to Ellie "Be nice he is still recovering."

Negasonic Teenage Warhead has posed:
"I think either of the people we know who go wolfy would be weirded out about someone eating a dog for sure..." she looks over to Rachel and looks concerned. "Pizza is amazing, and I'm sorry you ever had to deal with a world like that Rachel." when Brian comes in Negasonic shifts a bit and leans against the bar eating her pizza and looking him over. "You look like you head butted a brick wall." maybe that is her being nice like Sam asked. Those who know her know it was pretty tame.

     "Thanks, they luckily don't have me on lame foods." Brian walks, moving to the bar, and helping himself to a slice of supreme. "Nice to meet you." He comments to Ellie and Rachel.

  The black haired boy looks to Ellie and scoffs just a little. "Thanks, I was going for concrete roof, but the pattern just didn't come out right."

Samuel Guthrie smirks a bit and says "We still have to do some testing, but if what it looks like, Brian maybe training with you some Ellie, looks like his power maybe a bit similar to yours. We are letting him heal up a bit though before have him try to do it again, and we can get a better look at it.

Ellie's head tilts a little bit to the side and her eyes narrow then an eyebrow archs a bit. She looks to Sam and then back to Brian. "Well as the teachers here say, practice makes perfect. Wtih enough time and patience you can smash your face into a lot of hard surfaces." then she looks to Sam "They can't be that similar or he wouldn't look like someone attacked him with a cheese grater."

Rachel Grey Looks over and blinks " I dunno first time some people get their powers they go a bit crazy " She shrugs as she looks over " So we can talk normally around him that's good " she beams a smile at Brian " Oh what are his powers?".      Brian takes a bite and he closes his eyes, taking in the splendor of cheese and toppings. "I...don't really know. I just remember a big light and the next thing, I wake up in the hospital." Then Rachel makes her own powers known. "I knew some people could do that, but I never met anyone that could."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Looks like he makes explosions, more than the force fields, he was hurt in the explosion. " This as indept as he goes about t. "So, have you had much chance to meet any of the other students yet Brian?"

Negasonic Teenage Warhead has posed:
"Explosions.." is softly muttered by Ellie and then she looks Brian over. "Well we can see how you explode I guess. You should probably figure that out before you hurt anyone or yourself agauin." she shrugs a bit and looks to Rachel then back to Brian. "I explode the hell out of shit."

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel Grey Grins and does the explosion motion with her fingers " there are explosions then there is what you do hun and what you do is art " she winks a bit before she grins " compared to her my powers no where as flashy " yep totaly downplaying her powers.

Isotope has posed:
     Brian gives a small shake of his head. "No, well, I mean I met a couple." The young man hadn't had any evidence of his powers since he woke up in the hospital. "I was told that I may not be able to use them much yet. Like, it's not unusual for the powers to kind of go on the back burner for a while after they first happen."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "Yea, took me a bit to get the whole blasting thing down, and forever before Ah could make a decent turn. YOu will do well, Ah am sure Brian.

Negasonic Teenage Warhead has posed:
Negasonic takes a final bite of her pepperoni pizza. "They do that yes." she notes with a grave tone and then eyes another slice before grinning to Rachel. "Thanks. Lot of practice and dedication. I'd like to thank the academy."

Isotope has posed:
     Brian takes a last bite of his slice before smiling again. "Thank you for the pizza, and company. I'm gonna go try and sleep again." He says, giving a wave to everyone. "I'll probably be more up and about tomorrow." He adds in before heading back out.

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel Grey waves softly as she looks back to the others " He seemed nice.. lucky for him this time and place is good " she says softly " I mean that he dosn't have to learn the hard way "

Samuel Guthrie says, "He has a bit of a road ahead of him, some folks were hurt and one killed when his powers manifested. Ah am hoping the folks here will help him cope not sure how well he is handeling it yet."

Negasonic Teenage Warhead has posed:
Ellie looks after Brian and then glares at Sam. "He only gets so many days of poor new guy routine before I stop being nice Kentucky." yeah it is a warning. Still she didn't give him a codename like Snap Kats or Sparkler or something. Poor HorrorShow.

You would think the bit about someone dying when his powers manifested would cut him some slack from Ellie. Maybe it will but early signs say no.

"Who said I was fair KFC." she snags a second slice of pizza deciding to go for it. "Also he had a mouth on him, that come back about the concrete instead of brick was actually halfway good."

To Rachel Ellie nods "Wings are great.. both them and boneless ones. The sauce is great.. dip it in blue cheese."

Samuel Guthrie shakes his head, and says "Na, you kill them, your sinking to their level. Ah know the time you come from hon, and it sounds like a warzone and yes there are different rules in a warzone. Here, we take them down and turn them over to the authorities. Ah have fought some bad men over the time Ah was here, and yes, there have been some Ah have wanted to kill, but have not intentionally killed any of them." Sam has been realizing lately some he might have unentionaly killed, but he keeps that to himself.

Samuel Guthrie looks to Rachel, and says "So, what would you say your top 5 things are food wise so far?" HE asks, to change the subject a bit. He does wonder what it is about the girls he knows and explosions. first Boomer, and now Ellie.

Samuel Guthrie makes a so so motion and says "More a treat or an ingredient in food. I know this place went to one time, that was a bacon resteraunt. They have a choclate bacon brown. that was da bomb.

There is a soft chuckle from Ellie. "It is a dessert or a snack yeah, but it can be cooked in with stuff. Bacon restaurant sounds really remarkable actually."

Samuel Guthrie does not make the joke that with logan, it would be canadian bacon. He nods, and says "When Ah went there had a stack and cheese wrap, that was wrapped in bacon and deep fried. And then that with an ice cream for dessert." He will smile and says "As for some more simle stuff there is a dinner in town we can hit some times for you to try stuff. And may have to take you to waffle house, they cook the stuff in front of you.

"Bacon is great.. .we can make it here though really easily. Or we can hit that diner in town sure." she is already planning introducing Rachel to all sorts of food now. Ellie yawns and glances at her watch. "I'm going to go get ready for bed."

Ellie smiles and gives Rachel another quick one arm hug pulling her in then waves to Sam and heads out to get ready for bed, it is a school night.
