Cast of Characters: Green Lantern (Rayner), Spider-Woman (Drew)

Green Lantern (Rayner) has posed:
Kyle Rayner is actually trying to find a place on earth to settle. The nights of Staten Island attract him because the lights of all the buildings speak to him. They're like stars that can be reached out, plucked, but without having to shoot up into the sky. The irony is his birds eye view. He's floating in the sky, a glow of green and in complete lantern uniform. Being in space for so long, it makes one feel adrift when they return. Like a soldier that comes home to a world that has changed. A world that in some ways is lost, and now they're looking to rebuild something. What that something is, no one knows until long after it happens. So, Kyle is near some roof tops just trying to find -something-.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"You're really good at being inconspicuous," calls an unmasked figure standing atop the nearest roof. Jessica Drew has become just as notable, if not more so, for her face as she ever was for her mask. The one Spider who ever unmasked for the public. As a member of the Avengers, it was a mark of integrity and accountability. Real heroes didn't need a mask. And so she stands in her suit - a crimson gradient fading to gold from top to bottom, with delicate gold webbing embossed on the neck and chest. Her onyx hair is loose and tossed by the wind. Her painted crimson lips are curled into a smirk that touches her green eyes, making them sparkle mischievously.

Green Lantern (Rayner) has posed:
Kyle smiles at her. Honestly, he heard of her beforespace, but it's different to see her. "Jessica, right?" The man asks and lets his mask face to reveal a pair of bright jade colored eyes, ravencolored hair, and a smirk that shows friendliness with a dash of mischievousness. "Well, I could shine a big bat, spider, or lantern in the sky. I figure if I'm this inconspicuous now why not go all the way?" The grin turns into a smile, "Kyle Rayner. Space man returned home. Artist. Mister Inconspicuous as my friends now call me."

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"Sounds legit," Jess agrees. "Though let's not go putting signals everywhere quite yet. You've seen Monty Python, I'm sure. You know the consequences for anyone who lights the beacon...." She shakes her head. "Kyle. Heard of ya. How's space been treatin' ya? Is it as crazy wild as you'd expect out there? And what about Space Ghosts? Are they a thing? I'm trying to decide whether to book a spacation, and space ghosts are the pivotal factor, at this point."

Green Lantern (Rayner) has posed:
"Yeah, lots of people are going to be disappointed there's not a dozen sisters to umm...nevermind," Kyle shakes his own head a little bit. "It's wild, but I missed home." Then he pauses for a moment, "I've heard rumors of a guy calling himself a Space Ghost, but space ghosts are ghosts that just happen to be in space. The space part gives them better access to items you don't want people with flesh to have let alone ghosts," he says with a chuckle.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica shudders, shaking her head. "Nope. NOPE. I think I'll stick with Mexican beach ghosts, then. I don't do space ghosts." She pulls her phone from an inconspicuous utility belt that blends with her costume for the most part. Swipe. Peck peck peck. Send. "There. Spacation officially disqualified as a destination." She slides the phone away and tilts her head, watching Kyle. "So you're readjusting to home life, huh? Found a home yet to facilitate in that quest?"

Green Lantern (Rayner) has posed:
"Kind of readjusting. I'm a pariah right now. My non-paying job forces me in space. A lot. I'm back, and well, it's technically pro-bono. I don't know where to go, but I'm figuring it out. Thus, green space star in thesky. I was seeing if Staten Island is a good fit," Kyle shrugs a little bit as he is honest with Jess. "Also, Ghosts in Space are a little freaky. They don't come up much, but they leave a hell of an impression. At least Mexican Beach Ghosts include a vacation on a beach. Space, it's a crap shoot between wartorn planet, blackness of space, or a planet that may not like you, usually. You don't get the Haiwaii planet haunting. Not that islands own a planet, just one or two comparable," Kyle stammers a little bit to clarify.

"But, I left it all behind. Took on the greater cause. Now, I'm back and the world kept moving on. So, I'm trying to refind my place. Wherever it is."

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"You're an artist. Artists are never out of demand. Have you looked into something a little more...creative...to earn a living? Seems a little bit lonely, having to u st float around. Also lacking in bathroom facilities. And food." Jessica ticks off the list on her fingers thoughtfully. "Hey when was the last time you ate anything besides space food?"

Green Lantern (Rayner) has posed:
"It's more figuring out a place, then going with the budget, I mean 'The Rent is Too Damned High' Man got kicked out of NY years ago. The problem still exists. I was just seeing if I could enjoy living in a place like this," then Kyle thinks on it. "I've been to a few places. This is like my second or third, still not used to Earth Food."

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"All right...recalibrate and approach from a different angle. Hey Kyle, you look kinda broke. You hungry? We could go eat the food. My treat." Jess' tone is upbeat and friendly. She doesn't mean any kind of disrespect. She is trying to conserve the Green Lanterns by sponsoring one to prevent starvation. She won't even get a tee shirt for it.

Green Lantern (Rayner) has posed:
"Yes!" Kyle says softly with a light chuckle. "I would like that a lot," he says softly and gives a tip of a non-existent hat. Green eyes look to her for a moment. "Should I float to you? How do I get there?"
