Star Shimmer has posed:
"DAMN! Owww." Autumn winces. Despite her affinity for Violet, her body doesn't exactly like having that color beaten into her. The sun is rising and things have started as they usualy do these days. With training. Practicing with Batwoman and learning to fight without her shiny new ring. Now that the training is over though, She slips the violet ring on and her body softly begins glowing as the healing process begins.

Quietly she moves to her table and gets out a bag of bagels and her shmear. Getting out the New York Special, Onion bagel, she quickly slices it and covers half with the yummy cream cheese and the other half gets blue berry jelly. Yup! This is a breakfast sammich alright.

As for business, She knows Batman had been wanting to get her in touch with Hal Jordan but she has no idea if he is going to come by or not.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
    After a communique from Batman, Hal Jordan zooms towards Githam, a green streak of light in an otherwise dreary day. As usual. Scanning quietly, Hal looks for the evidence that he was looking for. A violet energy from a person whom he did not know possessed the "ring" of the Star Sapphires.

    Sensing the location more than actually seeing it, Hal Jordan is drawn to the violet energy. His eyes scan the area, and sees a young woman sitting at a table eating. That would be her. Landing nearby, he walks over to Autumn with a smile. "Good morning. Is this seat taken?" Hal puts his hand on the back of the chair opposite to Autumn.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn isn't in any sort of uniform. She is simply dressed in a lavender dress. Her mouth is full of bagel by the time Hal lands and asks to sit across from her. She quickly swallows, "Oh ummm, Sure thing, Green Lantern. Good to see you out and about in Gotham." She nibbles at the Bagel and promptly orders a coffee. "Would you like a bagel?" She offers with a smile."

Finally she just starts speaking. The area is largely empty save for a few empty tables. With the Waiter rushing inside, Autumn just smiles. "So, I am guessing you talked to Batman and you were looking for the new violet ring user?"

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
    The familiar uniform gives him away as Hal Jordan smiles at Autumn. "No thank you. I had breakfast already." Hal takes a seat, and looks Autumn over, as non invasive as possible. His smile remains on his face, but it is a guarded one at this point. Hal was trying to ascertain whether or not Autumn was an ally...or a potential threat.

    "I am indeed." Hal nods, his smile going a little wider. "Batman wants my assessment of you and whether or not you can be...trusted. I know that sounds worse than it actually is. After all, we are talking about Batman. He considers everyone a possible, potential threat. Even himself."

    Hal shrugs, and moves the napkin from side to side while the utensils stay on in. "I take it you are the new user of which you refer?"

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn smiles and her ring flares. Her clothing quickly shifts and takes the form of her own Star Sapphire uniform. "Yeppers! I am the new Star Sapphire on the block." She sighs, "Thats kinda sad, Batman knows me. I was one of the people who went to help him when he was in prison." She sighs. "You don't need to worry about me. My heart is in the right place."

Happily she takes a bite of her bagel. Slowly the plethora of bruises on her body start to fade. "Was training this morning. One of these days I am going to become a better fighter and not look like pounded meat by the time I'm done!" She laughs.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
    Hal Jordan considers for several moments, and hmmms. His eyes, although covered by the white of his mask, regrad Autumn thoughtfully, or at least his expression reflects that emotion. As she changes into costume, his smile turns into a slight frown.

    "Indeed. Batman mentioned something about that event." Hal Jordan considers for a moment, and says, "Heart is a good term to use for this "ring"." A small sigh, follwed by, "Personally, I am concerned about another Star Sapphire ring showing up on Earth. Considering another owner of the ring I know quite well. This ring can influence your emotions to a...difficult to control level at times. After all, the violet emotions of love are very...intense at times. I am just concerned about you. Even though we don't know each other." AFter all, that is what makes Hal a hero. Concern for others.

    "I think that Batman shares this concern, although I will be chatting with him again after our meeting here. I want you to know that, if you need my help, you have it, of course."

    Hal smiles again, to soften his words just a tough, and nods as though confirming those words with his own body language. "Keep training, in body and mind! If anyone can help you with that, it is Batman and his team."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn smiles, "Well honestly, I could definitely use some help learning how to use the ring. I am in control. You don't have to worry. I want to make a difference in this world. Before the ring came to me, I was trying to learn and help out. I was at the prison. I went in after Batman. I went through hell, got hit with Fear gas, busted Scarecrow in the head and got into a fight with Bane. I got shot for my troubles."

She sighs and just laughs. Then she looks at Hal. "I honestly know very little about what I am getting into. My ring has been teaching me a little on how to use the ring. I know the news said that Star Sapphire did the whole JFK Airport rescue with the help of a bunch of other heroes. The fact is, Yes it was Star Sapphire but not THE Star Sapphire. It was me. I was there. It was my first time doing anything with the ring. I did the best I could. I just knew I had to get some mutant kid away from the airport. he powered up and couldn't control it. I shielded the people in the terminal and helped out where I could. It wasn't all me. It was the group of us who worked together to do it. I'm a rookie. I know it. But I am trying."

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
    "Well, then, I can help with that. As for the control, good to hear. It usually takes a few...days to learn how to control the powers of the ring, but every ring wielder is different. I'm glad you are at the top of the scale for control." Hal Jordan smiles and nods. "That is encouraging."

    Hal listens to her describing the scene at the prison, and getting shot. He shakes his head, and says, "Well now, sounds like you encountered some pretty fierce opposition right from the get go. And you excelled. Well done." Hal had heard some of the details. He was at the first "prsion break" but was dealing with the big guns, not the intimate details of inside the prison.

    "The ring and all it entails opens up a very large world, especially considering the organization that you became a part of by accepting that ring." Hal points to the ring on Autumn's finger. "The Star Sapphires are...unique." Hal considers telling her more, but then dismisses it. It would be better coming from one of her own. "If I were you, I'd seek out Carol Ferris. She might be able to tell you more about the Star Sapphires than I ever could."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn nods, "I know Carol. She actually helped me when my father decided to beat the femininity out of me. It wasn't pretty. Anyway, She was the one who sensed the love in me and said I had the potential to be a Star Sapphire. That was back when I hated myself. Anyway I will get in touch with her. I think I get the gist of what a Star Sapphire is supposed to do. I know that I feel drawn to certain people sometimes. They seem to be lacking in the love department."

"I was actually thinking of going to Zameron. It would be eventful I mean, I've never been in space. Not yet anyway. I've been thinking about going up and trying it out but... I just... The idea is a little eerie. Though it would be pretty cool to see space. I guess eventually I will be helping out people all over the planet and beyond huh?"

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
    "Ah! That makes sense. Glad to hear you already met her. Yeah, it is a very interesting part of the emotional spectrum, huh." Hal Jordan nods and adds, "I am sure you will do fine. I think that Batman will appreciate what I have to say." Hal grins, and stands up.

    "Zamaron would be an interesting trip for you. I'd recommend taking Carol with you. She can help you navigate the politics of the situation, I am sure." Hal frowns and says, "It can be a difficult trip to put it mildly."

    "Yes, space is cool." Hal pauses, "I am sure you will be! Helping out. We can always use another hero." Hal turns, and gets ready to leave. "I will let Batman know that you are okay, and he can "trust" you, as much as he trusts anyone. Heh. Well, if you need me for anything, please feel free to contact me."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn smiles and finishes off her bagel and grabs her coffee. "Thank Lantern. You know, I dunno what name I should use as a Star Sapphire. Obviously I can't call myself that. It would be a lot of confusion. I guess I could use the other name I use. Nightingale. But, that would be slightly odd. A glowing violet nightingale. That is fitting for when I'm in armor. Not so much in my underwear? I dunno.

She glances up. "I do wanna go up there. I think I might. I'll fly up there and try not to burn up during reintry." SHe looks at Hal and smiles. "Okay. I will get in touch with you if I need anything. Any pointers on using the ring could be useful. I've been practicing on a small empty island. Its a little weird. Anyway. Have a good one." With that, She takes her coffee and takes off flying.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
    "Nightingale has a nice ring to it. I wouldn't know about not calling myself "Green Lantern". There are thousands of us, and we all use that name when working, and our real name amongst friends. I guess I never really thought about it. Up to you I guess." Hal Jordan nods, and continues, "Yeah, the costume can be...kind of revealing. You can manipulate the violet energies to your will though, and cloth yourself in whatever design you wish."

    "Indeed, contact me if you need me, or need some teaching. I'd be willing to help out." Hal floats gently off the ground, and before he leaves, turns to face Autumn once more. "Just be careful out there. It cab be a deadly world that you just walked into. I know you know that, considering you were shot. Good luck!" With a smile, a small salute with his right index finger to his forehead, and a wink, Hal Jordan was gone, a streak of emerald energy dissipating into the horizon.
