Two Bedroom, One Bath, Seeking Roommate

Synopsis:	Tony gets an update from Wanda on the drug Hook. Josh gets cleared to move into the mansion with her and join the medical staff.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
After realizing Josh's need of somewhere else to stay, Wanda had floated the idea of moving into the mansion. "Though we'll need to clear it with the group. Secure facility and all," Wanda had said. "Though I'm hopeful it won't be an issue. Having worked for Tony's company, plus our close work with the school? But I'll set something up," she had told Josh.

Good to word, Wanda had gotten them some time on Tony's schedule, and had Jarvis let them know when Tony got to the facility. The entry on Tony's itinerary had a dual subject. Atlantean magic and Hook / Wanda housing request. Because those two things seem to be closely related.

When Josh is ready, Wanda will walk him down the stairs to the front entryway where Jarvis said Tony could be found. "... and don't hand him anything. Just set it down for him if he asks for something," she comments to Josh about Tony. What? She's probably joking.

Elixir has posed:
"I won't, I promise. And I won't try to heal him either. First time we met I tried and it kinda sucked for him," Josh says with a wry grin.

Iron Man has posed:
The meeting was only rescheduled twice. For reasons that weren't given. But that's very par for the course with Tony Stark: his meetings are fluid, and demands on his time as a Hero of The World are intense. There's a new magazine cover out in the foyer with the Hero of the World interview in it. It's very flattering. The picture is a good one, taken before Tony had to plunge into his workspaces to try to bring Vision back.

As it is, Tony's late for the meeting, and JARVIS has to apologize. Tony was en route, but did one of his unexpected stops. Still, it isn't too long, and Tony comes blazing in the front door at an easy stride, cheeseburger in one hand, bag of other food in the other. He's dressed semi casually: rock tee under one of his stylish blazers, mirrored red sunglasses, jeans.

"Wanda," Tony calls in greeting as he comes in, with a wave of the burger in the wrapper. "Lunch meeting, I'm all yours, for fifteen," he says, and flashes a smile, with a cursory friendliness, to Josh. Tony might not remember Josh (hard to tell), but Tony clearly isn't concerned either way about it.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda is used to dealing with the genius, billionaire, playboy philanthropist. First rule, always do the reading. And she'd sent a summary about the magic signature she'd found in Hook, the new ultra-addictive version of heroin that was causing so many problems of late. "A heads up, I'm setting up a meeting at the Atlantean Embassy over Hook. There is very little known about their magic. Thankfully Agatha had some familiarity, and passed on enough for me to suspect it may be tied to them," Wanda says. And completely omitting how Agatha came by that knowledge, if Wanda knows herself. "With luck they might help us get a lead on the source, or even treatment."

Wanda smiles over to Josh then before looking back to Tony. "And this is Josh Foley. We've been seeing each other for awhile now. And we'd like to stay together in my rooms in the mansion." Wanda looks over to Josh, letting him speak for himself on his background.

Elixir has posed:
Josh Foley says, "Hi Mr. Stark. You probably don't remember, but I'm the mutant healer Ms. Drew brought by to meet you last year. Sorry again about what happened that day. Thanks again for the Stark Biomed internship," Josh says with a big grin. The blonde haired blue-eyed Queens kid is dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. "I've been working on Professor Xavier's team full time since then as well.""

Iron Man has posed:
"Starting with your beau, then. Josh Foley. Sure," Tony says, agreeable, as if he did remember. Maybe he does.

"JARVIS," Tony addresses the wall, "Any red flags on Mr. Foley here?" he gives both of them, but mostly Wanda, a quick wink.
JARVIS replies helpfully, "No, sir; background checks were passed at the time of internship, though there is content that may require review."

"Okay then," Tony says, swallowing. He'd taken the time during JARVIS's chat to get another bite of his burger, and to lead the others towards the Study. There's places to sit.

"This is a superhero base, to be direct about it. This isn't really a place to put your family or SO's. Mine doesn't stay here, and things can sometimes explode here, or be dangerous. Last year the mansion got sucked into another dimension," Tony shrugs. "But that said, I don't have a big objection to it, though I'd probably like to add you to the medical staff, get the full bang for my buck for you staying." There's a subtle smile there: Josh was offered a job in the mansion, which isn't exactly a restriction: more the opposite.

"As for Hook, what does it have to do with Atlantean magic? Definitely follow that up, if there's something; take one of the other Avengers with you, if possible, give them a few points of contact."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
"I think there might be a discussion about getting another place at some point," Wanda says, looking over towards Josh as if confirming her suspicion there is right. There had been a little talk of dream homes. "Actually, the security we have available is a plus, in my mind. Healing powers can cause all sorts of reactions from the public. We already have the security and apparatus to screen... well, Thor's fans, for instance," Wanda says with a small smile.

She looks back to Josh to see how he feels about being a part of the medical staff. Her supportive expression would be all he'd need to see to know Wanda would support it if he wants to do that.

"The drug has a magic component, part of why it is so addictive. It took Josh's powers and mine in unison to save a girl who had OD'd on it. It would have just kept repeating the damage as fast as Josh healed it otherwise. There are similarities to some Atlantean healing magics according to what I have from Agatha . So we're hoping they might be able to explain more on it. I'm afraid my own investigations, I've about exhausted what I can try there without more information."

Elixir has posed:
Josh cannot help but look a little nervous when Tony is asking JARVIS about the background check, but smiles when it comes back as it does. He can imagine what the review components were, and that is as it is.

"On the medical staff here?" Josh asks disbelieving. He looks to Wanda, then recovers and beams. "Yeah, uh, absolutely Mr. Stark. It'd be an honour. Whatever I can do! Wow."

"Yeah, there was some talk about new places," Josh grins and colours a bit. He rubs the back of his neck. "You know, down the line kind of thing."

Iron Man has posed:
"Addictive, magical drugs? I'm really hoping we're not getting another Loki problem; screams that at me. Maybe tap Thor to check on that angle, after you're done with Atlantis," Tony suggests, drawing his fries out as he leads them into the Study. Tony is going to sit and eat, they can sit or stand or anything else: it doesn't bother the Avenger leader.

"I'm always recruiting; I get the best on my payroll, and I've /borrowed/ from the Xavier Institute before," Tony smiles over a fry. He did review things: or it's what is moving inside the edge of his tech sunglasses. "Recruiting, both for other positions, or Avenger. If Wanda's already vouching, we can see on that down the line, if you do well with medical, too," Tony says in his casual way of giving insane opportunities. The billionaire often doesn't have the same scope that others do about the impact of some things.

No pressure.

"Looking forward to having JARVIS review your report on the Atlantean idea, then," Tony teases, with a wink. He will read at least part of it: he's usually up to speed, or can immeidately get up to speed. "If you need anything from me for the Hook investigation, let me or Cap know."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda does take a seat, relaxing and crossing her legs as she leans back in a chair. Her pleased smile goes to Josh, eyes shining with warmth towards him. "Tony that actually makes me think of something just now," Wanda says. "Josh is going into medical school. Which may be useful, granted. But with his power, is as much about getting accredited to practice medicine in the eyes of the law."

She looks to Josh and says, "I wonder if we couldn't use some of our technology to help his training along. I don't know if the agencies involved would accept JARVIS-teaching towards accreditation. But if nothing else, it might be enough to allow Josh to graduate early and be able to put his abilities to more use helping people."

She looks over to Josh to see what he thinks. It was an idea that just hit her, so no chance to discuss it before hand. "And I'll speak to Thor, about Hook," she agrees with Tony.

Elixir has posed:
Josh looks a little stunned at Tony's comment and is very quiet as they go in to sit down together.

No pressure, indeed.

He is in his own little word until he catches on to Wanda's turn of topic.

"Oh, uh, I mean I'll do whatever I can to get prepped and in early, but I don't want to impose or ask anything, it's cool," Josh says to Wanda, faintly embarassed and suddenly worried about seeming ungrateful, his family's roots showing through. You just don't ask for things!

"Working on your medical staff is already going to be such a huge advantage, Mr. Stark," Josh says to the Avengers leader. "Game changer for someone like me, really. Thank you."

Iron Man has posed:
"Yeah, it is; should create the opportunities. But Wanda does have an idea; I can probably make something like that happen," Tony answers, thoughtful. Because he's MF Tony Stark. "We'll see. I'm trying to focus on Vision right now, and I have the Sentinels trying to blow holes in my armor," he complains. "Task JARVIS about it, though: you have my support to try." Tony hears a little noise and looks at what passes for a mobile device. "I'm being summoned, my tests are done, and I've got the second stage to start in the lab."

Tony gets up, and offers a handshake first to Josh, and a smile to Wanda. "Make it so," he bids them, before doing a swan on out of the room, remainder of burger being chewed.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda Maximoff smiles over to Josh. "That seemed to go very well," she tells him, the size and warmth of her smile letting him know she thinks it went extremely well. "Maybe we can shave some time off of your medical school this way?" she suggests. "Maybe even count it towards your... what is they call it, when you go work in a hospital? Resident? Something like that?" she asks, occasionally finding an English phrase she's not entirely sure the correct usage of.

Wanda reaches over to brush her fingers along Josh's side. "I apologize if I sprung the comment of another place on you. It wasn't planned. Just... what Tony said, about there can be dangers here? There's some truth to it. I know you're an X-man and can handle such situations. But it made me think... maybe having another place wouldn't be a bad idea as well? Even if only so if it gets crazy around here with some crisis, you had somewhere you could relax to study?"

Elixir has posed:
Josh fairly beams at Wanda. She can feel how excited and grateful he is, to her especially.

"Yeah, maybe both, residency, yeah. I mean, a mutant off the street is one thing, one off the Avengers medical staff is something totally different," Josh gushes excitedly. "And with some stuff Hank said, Wanda, it changes like, everything!"

Josh shakes his head and brings his focus back.

"Hey, it's fine, honest. You're worried... We live weird lives. But we'll be fine," Josh says brightly. He moves a bit closer so he can take Wanda's other hand in his.

"Let's just do one step at a time. Let me get settled in here, get my feet wet, find our routine. I mean, it's been crazy... I can always study at the school if I need to, or on campus. And if we want another place we can think about it. Maybe after we make it to like, 9 weeks together," Josh says with a week. The fact it had not been years was mind boggling with what he felt for and from the Transian woman. But their fall for each had been anything but slow or shallow.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda Maximoff breaks out in a soft laugh. "You could have told me it's been nine months and I'd have believed you," she tells him. Wanda rises from the chair she'd settled in, and moves to Josh to rest her hands lightly on his hips. "Yes, one step at a time. We can get your things unpacked. A few of your posters up. I'm interested which of my pictures you like most, and which least, so we can make some space for them," she tells him.

Wanda leans closer and rests her head against his shoulder. "Another benefit? As a member of staff, I think the mansion's security systems would help protect you from Pietro," she says in a teasing voice. But a soft one. For she's leaning against him now, and Josh truly has become her center. The world felt so wrong to her for months. Even before she heard of Sebastion, his impact had affected the unknowing Nexus Being. Though those feelings are still there, they are something Wanda has been able to handle better since Josh came into her life in the way he has.

Elixir has posed:
"Now that's a benefit," Josh agrees. He lays a quick, gentle kiss on Wanda's cheek and gathers his love fully onto his lap. Strong arms hold Wanda against him. Right there he is at peace and feels at home with Wanda in a way he has not with anyone else.

"We're gonna be just fine."
