Cast of Characters: Zatanna Zatara, Ghost Rider (Blaze)

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
The Magic of Zatanna!

The show was a whirlwind of illusions so artfully done that it was difficult to tell which were mere smoke and mirrors and which were the product of the genuine magic the Magicienne claims to wield. Rabbits out of hats! Sawing someone from the audience in half and putting them back together again! Appearing in three separate places in the theatre at once! All of it wonderful!

But now the show is over, and Zatanna wears a decidedly less flamboyant outfit of jeans and a leather jacket over a black tank-top as she makes her way out of the stage door at the rear of the Theater.

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
The rear of the theater. Johnny Blaze had heard about the amazing and incredible mistress of magic, Zatanna Zatara! Though he did enjoy magic of slight of hand, he didn't enjoy real magic. Namely because its always been used against him in some form or fashion. But hey, he had to say it was seriously cool, even if he didn't trust it much.

He's standing by his motorcycle, having a smoke (of a cigarette) and he seems to exhale some smoke when he notices her.

Wow, they weren't lying about her looks. But even still, celebrities are still people. "Having a nice night?" he asks her when she's no doubt heading in his direction (cuz she has to unless she wants to teleport)

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
Zatanna furrows her brow, finding her way partly-barred by the biker and his motorcycle. She doesn't seem concerned or wary, just raising her eyebrows and leaving her hands firmly tucked into the pockets of her jacket. She gives the man himself a narrow-eyed look, as though trying to place him, before answering:

"A tiring one, sure. What about you? I'd say you're about fifty-seven years too late to be a security guard at Altamont, and on the wrong side of the country to boot."

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Chuckling a little bit, Johnny uses two fingers to take the cigarette out of his mouth and he looks over at Zatanna. "Heh, despite how old I feel at the moment, I'm still in the prime of my life, I'll have you know." he smirks at her. "How was the show?"

"I'm doing well. Though your right, I should probably be in...Romania, about now. But, decided to come home for a period of time."

Yes, he took a break from takin' souls and diggin' holes.

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"Romania? Oof, vampire country. You don't look like much of a vampire, though. No cape. No thick accent. Unless we're talking the modern version of vampires, in which case you've got the devil-may-care cool down."

The question about the show prompts a lift of her shoulders, a subtle movement given her hands are still plunged into the pockets of her jacket, "Show was good. I'm not sure about the venue but you play where you're booked. Did you buy a ticket or are you one of those fans who tries to snag an autograph without even paying for the show first? I don't even think my signature goes for very much on eBay."

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Johnny smirks a bit wider at her. "Eh, not a vampire. But I hear the gypsies are friendly for the most part, when they arn't trying to swindle you of your loose change." Another puff of smoke before he offers an unused cigarette to her. "You smoke?" but then she has him laughing a little bit.

"Nah. Didn't have enough saved up to check you out, I'm afraid. But, eh, guess I'm lucky. Get to chat with you after your show. If you want to sign, I won't stop you, though I prefer conversation."

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"No thanks," Zee waves a hand at the cigarette, shaking her head.

"I don't usually charge for autographs, but I don't usually foist them on people either. If you aren't dying for one, I hope you'll excuse me if I don't race to give it. As for not being able to afford the show, well ... " Zatanna sighs, shrugging her shoulders again, "I don't set the prices. That's the venue. That said, my booking fee probably doesn't encourage them to give tickets away for pennies."

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Johnny shrugs and puts the cigarette back in its pack. "Whatever suits you." then he's smiling a bit at her, snuffing out his smoke and bank shotting it into a trash can some few feet away. Good peeps don't leave their cigarettes lyin' around, yo.

But he smirks at her a bit and he shrugs. "Not exactly dying, no. 'fraid I don't have any celebreties I'm dyin' over. Be they a raven-haired beauty or no." he looks around for a moment, before settling back on Zatanna. "Name's Johnny Blaze, by the way."

If she knew her stuff, he used to be a major big wig stunt guy back in the day.

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"Jumped any flaming school buses lately, Johnny Blaze?" Zatanna asks, the corners of her mouth quirking up into a little grin as she leans against the outside wall of the theater and kicks up a heel against it. She knows her stuff as far as show business goes, by the sound of it.

"You sound like you're trying to score free tickets with the raven-haired beauty line," she chides, though the smile never vanishes from her face, "Or score something else. I'll have you know I'm a dinner and two drinks minimum kinda mistress of the mystic arts."

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Johnny shakes his head. "Not since my last accident. Good thing I got out of there too, didn't want to go out like my old man." he shrugs a little bit before he grins at her. "I'm more of a 'dinner and four drinks' kind of guy, and really what I was going for." he winks at her. Yes, not even Johnny Blaze is above flirting with a beautiful woman.

"Besides, after that show, I have a feeling your hungry. And..." he looks around. "Do you have a ride, or are you walking home?"

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"I don't really need a ride," Zatanna admits, drawing one hand out of her pocket to snap her fingers in the air, "Magician and all. I just sort of appear and disappear wherever I please. I save a ton on gas, you wouldn't even believe it."

She takes a look around as well, still smiling that little smile that suggests she knows something nobody else does, "And I might be hungry, but I'm not about to let you just whisk me away like that, Johnny Blaze. How about we make a deal instead?"

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Johnny looks at her and he raises a brow, shuddering. "Sounds like an unpleasant way to travel. Great way to get headaches." tells her his opinion on it right there and then! He pats his motorcycle though. "This gets me to point A and point B just fine though."

Then a deal is going to be cut. "I don't have good experiences with deals. But hey." he shrugs. She didn't say outright no, so does he have a chance?! But he gives her a shrug.

"Shoot, Zatanna." might as well hear her out!

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"I feel like roaring around on a motorbike sounds like a good source of headaches as well," Zee looks at the bike, raising her eyebrows and shaking her head.

"The deal is this, if you choose to accept it," she straightens up a little as she speaks, tryig to look properly devilish, "If you show up at my next show - if you don't buy a ticket at least try to look like you charmed your way in somehow - we can go out for those four drinks and a dinner you're hocking."

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
"Not when your used to it, I guess but...you know, earplugs help sometimes." Johnny's REAL headache was the Ghost Rider. flaming heads hurt, dontcha know. But then she makes her deal, and he seems to chuckle a little bit. At least she's really trying to get him to at least see her show. Maybe she'll even do something fun for him during the show, like give him a call out or something.

Shrugging his shoulders, Johnny puts his hands in his pockets. "You drive a hard bargain, lady." but then he grins. "But, you got yourself a deal. Guess I'll find a way into your next show, in exchange for a dinner date." he offers her his hand to shake on it, because words were only so powerful. The act had just as much meaning.

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
Zatanna lifts her head, looking slightly downwards at the hand with the same knowing smile on her face. But then, just when it seems as though she won't, she shoots out her hand and shakes abruptly once, then twice, then thrice before drawing it away and back into her pocket.

"This is the part where I grow horns and start cackling," she says with a grin, "But I think you'll find it easier to get in to the next one."

In his hand, deposited by sleight of hand rather than genuine magic, is a ticket for another show in Bludhaven a week or so from tonight. She just grins like a cat.

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Johnny looks at her until she shakes his hand three times, then releases it. Its done...so it has been said, so let it be! Cue ominous music and surprisingly thematic lightning strikes. But then he starts to grin.

"How so?' he asks curiously. "and heh, if you do, Its going to make me want to find the guy himself and punch him to see if it works this time." he teases her.

But then in his pocket, where his hand is, he feels something. "Hm?" and he sees the ticket, which causes him to grin. "Heh...you sly fox."

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"This is why real magic is so boring," Zatanna explains with a shrug of her shoulders, "If I'd just made them appear out of thin air you'd have just shrugged, accepted that it was some act of unnatural law that you can't explain, and left it at that. But when I don't use magic at all? Or I just use the kind that anyone can do? That's gonna keep you up at night."

She stretches cat-like, plunging her hands back into her jacket pockets once more and turning to glance over her shoulder at the man, "I'll see you around, Johnny Blaze. Hopefully sooner rather than later."

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Johnny seems either entranced, or utterly intrigued, by Zatanna. She had a strong wit about her and honestly she was /fun/. Twirling the ticket in his hand before stashing it away in a safe place, Johnny smiles at her. "This is why I like ya, Zatanna. Keepin' me on my toes."

He then starts to watch her take off, and he subtly checks her out (of course he does) before she talks to him. "Be seeing you, Zatanna. Sooner rather than later. Stay safe till then, yeah?" Then he looks away, a smile touching his face as he lights a cigarette, apparently content to rest for a few moments longer before he makes a trip to Bludhaven.

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
Zatanna says nothing, only raising a hand abover her head in a casual wave without even turning her head. The deal made. As she walks, she seems almost to shimmer as though reality cannot quite keep a grip on her. When she passes over a subway grate that lets up a cloud of steam into the chilly night air, it momentarily eclipses her from sight. There is some faint shudder from a source unknown - sensed peripherally but not really felt nor seen nor heard - and when the steam has cleared she is nowhere to be seen. Gone into the night.
