Selene (Underworld) has posed:
The roar of Selene's bike ceases as she rolls to a halt, looking around, watching the streets of Hell's Kitchen. She's been looking for the lycans who had got away from the warehouse. At least, that's why she'd initially set out, and she got sidetracked by one of her Death Dealers being hurt fairly bad. She's figured that this needs dealing with, personally, though Hell's Kitchen is dangerous Selene has found that out first hand. She's blended into traffic, and followed a pair of four legged friends. Selene's keeping to the shadows. It's just her. No Death Dealers, but a highly agitated and bloodthirsty Selene. The four legged lycans, in their wolf form, have led her to a drug deal. Hook's being handed over to be moved. The wolves are going for it, apparently even the local lycan populous isn't immune to Hook. Instead, the wolves get gunned down, but not before, since there's no silver, mauling the Hook dealers, and leaving their throats torn out and necks torn out. Selene's about ready to jump in, when a passing patrol car (brave, really in this area, Selene thinks) stops to check it out. After all, gunshots, dead werewolves, and Hook out in the open? That's not normal.

Selene's thankfully blending in well walking down the street to her bike. A bike that's.....not yet been stolen. Then again, Selene's not entirely sure anyone wants to tangle with her. She's maybe not the most dangerous predator at a little after half eleven at night, but she's a force to be reckoned with.

Shde hears muffled radio traffic, apparently that officer was calling it in, or.....something. Selene doesn't care, not her problem. The dead wolves? Those are a problem. Especially if Hook's involved. There's plenty of bits of paper and torn up things from the dealers, a phone's laying on the ground, the back of it's come off to reveal a folded up bit of paper, Selene's thinking that may be useful. The howling wolf wallpaper gives her little doubt who the phone belongs to. A wolf, naturally. The dead Hook guys also intrigue her. They....

The wolves stir. Selene's immediately ready. They're healing too damn fast, andd shifting back into their human guise. "What the hell. Don't kill us!" the taller one, who shakily says his name is Mike, yells. Selene watches, "Mike" she says. "What were you doing here?"

"Oh God I just killed a guy. Tavis is going to freak....we...we needed get our boss his fix. he..he won't come out himself. Lives over by the fire house down by that Alias detective people" Mike says, stepping closer to Selene. Selene@s not about to kill two innocent lycans. Is she going soft? Maybe. Even so, Selene warns them to stay back. "There's a cop over...." she starts, Travis is only half transformed, going for the cop as Mike's puking his guts up, Selene looks unimpressed at this turn of events, leaping back to avoid the puddle of puke that's threatening to get on her shoes.

Frank Quaid has posed:
The patrol officers, thankfully, were not fools. They had stayed in their car to call for backup instead of play the hero and jump out. Watching the black clad woman walk up and start talking to what they thought were dead people get up and start charging them vindicated their good sense and training. The patrol car tires squeal and the vehicle lurches backwards. It accelerates sharply. When the oncoming attacker starts to morph, they realize discretion is the better part of valour. The driver pulls a textbook flying turn and continues to accelerate forward now, outpacing the lycan. The officer in the passenger seat calls in a 10-33, officers in distress, with a meta that looks like a werewolf. She calls for tactical team support.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene watches the cop car leave, she's not far behind since she's worried. Dead werewolves mean trouble, lots, usually. This time...she didn't do it...yet. The smell of puke's in her nostrils as she's looking at the lycans. Mike, the one that was on two legs, was running away. Selene watches a SUV pull in, with Hook visible through the tailgate window. She's not a happy Selene, first her Death Dealer gets hurt. Then Hook shows up. She's not wanting the NYPD to chase Mike through the area.

Instead, Selene's got Mike sat on a dumpster, giving him $10 food and drinks. Looking over at him, Selene's decided to spare the lycan. If trouble's headed her way it may be unlikely allies. And all that. Never did she think she'd....actually team up with a lycan as Selene tells Mike to wait for the officers, and tell them what happened, not to play the hero.

Frank Quaid has posed:
It will be 10 minutes before the police move in. Police sirens start up in the distance in all directions. The patrol car stops a good block and a bit away, blocks most of the road and the officers stay in the vehicle watching. No doubt anyone with any drugs in their vehicle like SUV has the good sense to drive off seeing blood on the groud and a lit up patrol car on a block away. For now, the officers in the patrol car wait for their backup to get set up, coordinated and move in as a group.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
The SUV should have driven off. If, that is, the guys in it had sense and weren't passed out high on a mix of Hook and cheap alcohol. Amusingly, or irritably for Selene, the horn is not a pillow. Selene's spent those ten minutes finding a spot to hide, just outside the blocked off area. Moving in a blur is helpful at times really.

Mike not so much, he's gone to the patrol car and turned himself in. Not Selene's problem any more. Instead she's found a spot to sit and watch the blockade. She's trying to blend in, then again she's distinctive. For better or worse that is as she's sitting there, pretending to smoke and doing her best blending in bit. She's no desire to tangle with the NYPD's finest, thank you very much. Looking at the blockade, Selene feels nothing but anger and bitternesss toward the Hook people. Shaking her head, Selene's waiting, o. Waiting to tell the officers what she saw and found out.

Frank Quaid has posed:
The streets are blocked off by additional patrol cars in all directions first. Then eventually, two armoured SUVs roar in with tactical response members hanging on to the roof rack and standing on the sideboards. They step off onto the street when the SUVs stop and begin to secure the immediate area of the crime scene. The guys inside the SUV are pulled out unceremoniously and zip-tied on the ground. Patrol officers move in shortly afterwards to pair up with tactical response members and clear the alleys and what not within the perimeter.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
She's outside the permiter and watches, watches it all. She can't help but smirk at how the SUV guys were thrown out and dealt with. Nothing more than they deserve, she thinks. Looking over, she stays put. If the cops want her, she'll talk to them peacefully. On the other hand, if they get aggressive, Selene may well return the favor.

She gets up and goes over to one of the cops, asking after Captain Quaid, saying she needs to speak to him, and it's urgent. She's doing her best to persuade the poor officer to to either get Quaid here, or tell her where Quaid is. Something something lycan something Hook something something warehouse boom, hostages, something. Quaid apparently should know about this. Like. Now. Plus she needs his help with things.

Frank Quaid has posed:
"Lady, I don't care who you are. You wanna talk to the Captain you call the office an' leave a message, same's anyone," Officer Lewis says, looking supremely annoyed. "You got an emergency? Call 911."

One of other patrol officers, Officer Kennedy, comes over seeing how persistent this oddly dressed person is being with his colleague.

"Y'all okay here?" Kennedy asks Lewis.

"S'fine, this broad thinks the world's endin' an' she needs t'talk with Cap'n Quaid," Lewis says with an eyeroll. Officer Kennedy asks a few questions and asks Selene to hang on. He steps away and makes a phone call.

"Hey Sarge, it's Kennedy," Selene can easily over hear. "Remember that werewolf briefing note? Yeah. Got a female here saying she wants to talk with Captain Quaid about 'lycans' and Hook and a warehouse... No, they're not here yet. She might be a crank, I don't know. What's she look like?" Kennedy looks back to Selene. "Caucasian, 5'7", black hair, wearing black leather or something. I know, right?" There is a long paused while Kennedy waits. "Really? Huh. Good thing you checked. Yeah, I'll tell her."

Kennedy walks back to Selene. "Miss? Captain Quaid is coming down to talk to you. Just wait here."

Officer Lewis gives Kenney a disbelieving smirk. Kennedy shrugs and walks off.

About 20 minutes later, a unmarked black Tahoe rolls up to the perimeter with its hidden police flashers on. Elaina Bever is driving and Frank can be seen using his Blackberry in the passenger seat. He looks up, sees Selene and gives a wry smirk. He no longer has the nose bandage, but his nose is very obviously broken and does nothing for his looks which were average at best to begin with. Frank waves Selene over and thumbs toward the back door of the SUV.

"Selene," Frank says when she gets into the back of the Tahoe. There is no prisoner area in this vehicle, it is just a normal passenger area in there, so Selene is not at all trapped. The simple truth is that the only people at any risk in that SUV are the two cops in close proximity to a Death Dealer. "Not exactly surprised to see you here. What's going on?"

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene gives Quaid a wry smile. "What's going is I was looking for the lycans who ran away from that exploding warehouse. I got distracted by a pair of lycans I didn't recognize, and followed them. THey led me to a Hook deal. The two lycans killed the dealers, but the dealers were shooting them. Both survived, One of them turned himslef in. The other? No idea. That SUV that got found.....I saw plenty of Hook in it" Selene says, her blue eyes fixed on Quaid. "Werewolves, Selene, and Hook. Impressively, nobody's dead by my hand. But" she says with a fierce look, "I wanted to talk your brains and ask why werewolves would take hostages, then blow up the warehouse?" she asks. She knows what would happen to the hostages, but....she's wanting to put her head together with Quaid to figure this out.

Frank Quaid has posed:
"What are you even talking about?" Frank asks. He looks to Elaina who shrugs unknowingly.

"Are you talking about that MD12 thing in Metropolis? That was lycans?" Frank asks with a frown, trying to puzzle out what the vampire it talking about.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
"No, the snippet in the DBC. Late one night. NYC, warehouse blew up. That was lycans" she says, explaining it. "I found lycans there, human hostages. Once they got what they wanted, the lycans blew up the warehouse" Selene says with a quiet sigh. "Those are the lycans I was tracking, the one of my people got hurt so I came out here to deal with it personally"

Frank Quaid has posed:
"DBC is full of all kinds of stuff, Selene," Frank says dryly. "I didn't hear about that all. So you're saying it was Lycans and was about Hook? A lot of that going on, Drugs and Organized Crime is run off their feet with the gang war going on. Thank god that's not my beat."

"Did the hostages get freed?" Elaina asks. "If we've got hostages somewhere right now, that's a big problem."

"Yeah, would be," Frank agrees with a sigh. "We'd need to know about that."

"Look, everyone who deals is dealing Hook right now, so I'm not surprised some Lycans are dealing it. If you've got some specific info, I'll pass it on to Drugs and OC to follow up on if they can. Can't promise anything. They're up to their asses with this crap right now," Frank says and gestures out the window toward the crime scene. "It's like the 80's all over again. We're picking up dead bodies every night. Homicide is working nothing but Drugs and OC targets."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
"I'm not shocked either" Selene says, "I'm more worried with lycans having access to Hook, and in the meantime, taking hostages. How about if I help out by looking into it and feeding you what I find?" she offers. Of course there's strings attached, loose as they are with her. "That being said dead humans aren't my problem. I got my own problems" she says, her blue eyes glittering. She looks like she really doesn't care much about dead humans on Hook.

Frank Quaid has posed:
"Don't we all," Frank agrees with Selene dryly and shrugs. "Lycans on drugs, humans on drugs. Hook's just the latest thing. Remember the opiate crisis 20 years ago? It'll something else in another 20. Sad, but what can you do?"

"So you're saying there aren't any hostages?" Elaina asks with a confused frown. "If don't know, we would appreciate any help you can give us about it."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
"I'm saying, I got into the warehouse and the lycans rigged it to blow up and killed the ones that were in the warehouse. There was one who got out. I don't kno what happened to that hostage. But all the others were killed. The lycans ran off and I've no idea where they went" Selene says calmly.

Frank Quaid has posed:
"Okay, now I understand, thank you," Elaina says with a bit of a smile.

"I'll pass on that it was Lycans to Drugs and OC," Frank says. "At least they'll know what they're up against if they do any takedowns. Appreciate the tip," Frank says, tapping away on his Blackberry again. "We armed up like you suggested, by the way. Appreciate the info. Tactical Response has taken down a handful of lycans in the last couple of weeks during operations. They probably would've been slaughtered if they didn't have the right rounds. You saved some lives with that intel."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene nods. "You're welcome. It's the least I can do to help" she offers. Plus, less lycans, and help....is good. She nods, "I'd suggest each officer carries silver or UV rounds as well" she says, a...blunt suggestion from the Death Dealer, as she nods to the two officers. "Like these two" she adds, watching Quaid and Elaina. "I'm willing to help you out more. But like I said, I can't leavve a paper trail. It'd put you at risk" she says. By 'you' she means everyone else in the SUV. Selene's used to killing lycans. At this rate she'll start offering classes, or something equally silly if she's not careful

Frank Quaid has posed:
"I'll keep that in mind," Frank says. "We'll take what we can get, so if something comes up, call me."

Frank passes Selene his card with a wry grin. "Easier than bothering some rookie on the road."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene takes the card with a smile, her fangs showing. "Where's the fun in that?" she asks. "Poor officer, I was....insistent I spoke to you both, but you've been helpful" she says with a curt nod. "Very, very helpful, so thank you" she says reaching for the door.

Frank Quaid has posed:
"We're here to serve," Frank says dryly. "Be safe out there."
