May Embarasses Peter In Front of His Girlfriend
Date of Scene: 01 August 2019
Location: Aunt May's apartment, Brooklyn
Synopsis: Peter and Kitty go to meet Aunt May for dinner. They dance in Peter's room to no music... Kitty finds out Peter Parker was Peter Pan. Fin.
Cast of Characters: Spider-Man, Shadowcat

Spider-Man has posed:
So here's the thing...

Peter does not own a car for a preverbial laundry list of reasons, but the biggest being that he just can't afford one. So he had to come all the way out to Queens to pick up Aunt May's car, to drove back to Westchester County to pick up Kitty, to then drive back to Queens... and if that wasn't round about enough to keep everyone on their toes, he's going to have to do that all over again.

Drive Kitty back, bring the car back, and presumably return to the Mansion where he left Kitty in the first place.

So that's the measure of his resolve.

This will be on the test later.

Seated behind the stirring wheel, his baseball cap, ever present really, turned around backwards on his head, he glances over at Kitty beside him with a grin as they pull into the parking spot out ahead of May's apartment building. "Alright, I only have one rule... whatever happens in there.. you have remember that you liked me before we got here... She is definitely going to embarass me and I am definitely not going to be able to do anything about it... and..."

He reaches for the ignition, "You sure you don't want to just go to Angelos?" Thumbing, mostly joking, at a shop just down the street. "Best sandwiches in Queens, hands down... plus no pictures of me in Superman onesies."

Shadowcat has posed:
Sat chatting with Peter during the drive, one arm reaching over to rest her hand on his shoulder. Softly brushing with her fingers. She's be doing that with his neck but doesn't want to cause an accident. For as casual as Kitty's demeanor seems, she was nothing like that not too long ago. Walking back and forth between seven different outfits trying to decide which to wear. Liking each one in turn over the previous, then finding a fault with it and moving on, until she'd circled through all the outfits. Twice.

Peter pulling up down below had finally caused her decide in a rush. Ignoring all seven, she pulled out some beige shorts and a nice black tank top. Nothing too revealing, but perfect summer wear. All together she looks respectable, and the warmth of her tan brought out nicely next to the black top.

Kitty had nearly made it to the front door before remembering the lilacs and a bottle of wine. So it was, not wanting to keep Peter waiting, that she emerged, running through the exterior wall of the school and then moving quickly as if down invisible stairs to join him at the car. Her flustered state as she climbed in showing just how important the day was to her.

Now, arriving at his Aunt May's house, Kitty grins over to Peter. "I promise I'll at least greet her before asking for the dirt," she tells him. Kitty leans over to brush a soft kiss to his lips. "Nothing can change how I feel about you, Pete," she tells him with a smile, before climbing out of the car. She moves around to slip her hand into Peter's, letting him lead the way to the house.

Spider-Man has posed:
"Yeah, see..." Pete doesn't immediately jump out of the car once the ignition is off, glancing in the mirror set in the sun-visor, then leaning over to kiss Kitty's temple, "You really cannot appreciate how embarassing some of these pictures are going to be.. there's going to be at least one of me in underwear." Hands up, then down on the handle to push the door open and scoot around to the otherside by way of the front of the car with a finger held up at her to wait so that he can open her's as well. "I almost said milady... no fedora though.." Smug expression, tapping his temple, "Can't say it without a fedora."

Hand out, "Alright.." Eyes on the apartment, "She's going to adore you, I promise. If for absolutely no other reason than I do.. but even then I think probably she would." He leads them towards the front of the apartment with one hand in Kitty's and the other fishing the keys out of his pocket to get them into the building. "She's up on the third floor. If you see a woman in a floral night gown, you shouldn't look her in the eyes. That's Ms. Tanners and I'm 99% sure she's some kind of witch stealing souls to sustain her life energies."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty grinned at Peter in the car and says, "Well, the sight of you in underwear hasn't really been the sort of thing to dissuade me so far, you realize?" She smiles and does indeed wait for him to come around to her side of the car and open her car door. Her hand slips into his, gripping it just a little tightly. That deep breath that Kitty takes also seems the kind of thing someone does to settle a case of butterflies.

Kitty laughs softly, the humor seeming to help deal with a little nervousness, too. "Right. Kill the woman in the floral night gown," Kitty repeats, channeling her inner-Rachel for a moment. "Oh, you meant, just... right. Got it," she teases, and squeezing his hand back.

Kitty follows along, the bunch of lilacs wrapped in transparent plastic and arranged beautifully. She picked over them, getting them just right before leaving.

Spider-Man has posed:
"We're talking twelve year old, probably shouldn't still be wearing GI-Joe underwear Peter... not bench presses a buick Peter.." It's a murmur now that they're inside, smiling at a downstairs neighbor who beams seeing him, but for the most part lets them pass without a thousand questions, all of which would be a little embarassing for him. Thank you. Up to the third floor, "I tried that once about sick years ago." Squeezing Kitty's fingers reassuringly, smiling over at her with his arm coming up to loop around the back of her shoulder so he can give her a side hug and she can give HERSELF a hug. "Kill Ms. Tanners I mean. She's immortal. You can't. It's like disco... every few years it comes back... you're not sure how, why, or what crime against the universe is respo- Ms. Tanners!"

The woman peeks out of her door at the end of the hall, glaring viciously at them. A tiny little dog yaps at her feet looking just as heathenous. "odey otney nity yeye...." Smiling, murmuring out the side of his mouth, waving politely at the woman until she slams the door without even uttering a word. "We just dodged a bullet... I could feel the pull on my life energies. How does phasing work with soul stealing?"

This is half comedic, half that he really wants to know. As if she might actually know? Or he might actually need to...

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty? She just gives the woman a bright smile, and would have waved but for one hand holding flowers and wine, and the other holding Peter's hand. She bites on her lips to stop from grinning too much as they pass the woman's door. "Usually if it's related to touch or other physical means, they can't target me. Hard to say with magic though. Those three students kidnapped by NAME, I couldn't get through the magic shield she had around the kids."

How can she not stop to talk superhero shop, even on the way to see Peter's family? She'd probably divulge more but they are arriving on the third floor. "So anything else I should know about her? Any pet peeves to avoid or anything? I really want to make a good impression," she says.

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter now feels like he dropped the ball a little letting Kitty carry all that stuff up with just the one hand. "Uhh... you want me to carry the wine?" Asked sheepishly, hand turned over towards her with a nervous little expression as they near apartment three oh three. Seems moot now that they're here, but really he's just kind of.. well obviously he's nervous.

It's not that he's worried his aunt isn't going to love Kitty. That's a forgone conclusion in his opinion, but more that she is DEFINITELY going to embarass him... possibly on purpose.. maybe irrepairably. Even that is just sitting in the back of his mind as he reaises his knuckles to ready to rap upon the door. This is a big deal for him.

It's also a good nervous.

He really likes Kitty

"Coming!" The voice says from the otherside and only a few shorts seconds later the door opens. Standing there is a dark haired woman in her late fourties, early fifties. She's dark eyes a smirky smile and is wearing a black cami shirt with a navy blue overshirt. A pair of low cut jeans, gold trimmed belt, and dark brown boots.

"Peter..." She says to his sheepish grin, reaching up to pull his hat off forward and stepping in as if to give his Aunt a hug, "Uh uh.. move." pushing him aside playfully so that she can open her arms to Kitty, "Katherine, I am so glad to finally meet you.. I don't know what you've done to him, but this is the most he's text me in months..." Side eye glaring at her nephew. "Get in here, hugging family."

It's true Pete mouths at Kitty where he's leaning up against the side of the door. Just go with it. "I see your mouth moving Peter.."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde passes the bottle of wine over to Peter, not saying anything but her smile showing just how adorable she finds his nervousness. Of course it would be more adorable if she wasn't herself worried about having sweaty hands, nervous at meeting the most important person in Peter's life.

Though May's natural warmth makes it easy for those nerves to start to slip away the moment she comes out and greets Peter and Kitty. Kitty ends up with a big grin and moves to meet the older woman with a warm hug. "It's so nice to meet you finally," Kitty says before releasing the hug. "I don't know what you did to get Peter to turn out so well, but if I'm ever in the situation of raising kids, I think I need to turn to you for advice," Kitty says warmly.

She offers the pretty lilacs to May. "Here, these are for you," she says, smile growing softly as she grins over to Peter at the exchange between he and May.

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter holds up the wine, but he's being temporarily religated to background noise as far as May is concerned. Oh she sees him, she even acknowledges him, but rather than take the bottle she scoffs.. "You know where the kitchen is..." All very playful, rolling her eyes just as much so as she embraces Kitty, "Is he always like this?" "May, you promised you'd wait until after we were eating to make me feel like a worm, huh?" Slipping behind her to make his way in and towards the kitchen. The hat is hung on a hook just inside the door, it is literally the only hat on the rack.

"Oh, it's not that hard, he was a good kid.. mostly. Snuck out a lot." May out and out ignores Peter's pleas not to embarass him. This is her domain, silly boy, your image is toast. "Get in here, Ms. Tanners will steal your soul." "TOLD YOU!" From the kitchen.

Once they're both inside, May closes the door and motions around, "Make yourself at home, Katherine. I'll make Peter give you the short tour... I hope you like pasta? I didn't cook it, but I ordered the very best." She teases, with a wink. "Glass of wine while I get it plated?"

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty is heartened to find that May is as wonderful as Peter has led her to believe. She smiles over to the woman, giving her hand a quick squeeze as she comes inside, lest she become one of the walking soulless that are Ms. Tanner's victims.

"Snuck out a lot, you don't say?" Kitty says, glancing over towards Peter, but then distracted by the apartment. "Oh, I like your place," Kitty says warmly. She glances at the pictures, and makes a mental note to give them a closer look later. "Pasta sounds delicious," Kitty tells Aunt May. "Is there anything I can help with to get ready? Set a table or anything?" she says, offering to pitch in on the work. "So I don't think I ever asked Peter what his ethnic background is. Where are the Parkers from originally?" she asks Aunt May, walking at the woman's side, and flashing a warm look to Peter, meant to be encouraging that it is going well.

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter is uncorking the bottle in the archway, lip tucked inbetween his teeth, one eye squinting as if he couldn't just pull that thing out with absolute ease. When it finally gives way there's an audible pop and he steps over to where he's still visible, but through the little knook pouring three glasses.

May smiles pleasantly at Kitty and glances around at her apartment, tucking a few strands of dark hair behind her ear, "It's a labor of love." Said of the apartment, motioning around in an invition to look around, there are plenty of pictures of Peter scattered and one of three people, two of whom are May and a much younger Peter. "No... I mean if you want you could help me set the table, but I fully intend to put Peter to work for my amusement." Peter visibly rolls his eyes, "Yeah, yeah... lemme have a glass of wine and I'll go clean the gutters." May shoots him a playful stare, "Nobody likes a smart-ass, Peter." "Empirically untrue."

May ushers them through the living room into the kitchen with a little wave, jabbing a finger into Peter's side rapidly with a mock aggressive expression, "I like her, she offers to help..." There's an implied don't screw it up. "uhh.. well.. Ben was second generation Irish-American.. my mother was Italian and my father was.. american." She jokes, shaking her head with a quiet laugh, "Some mix, who knows.. New York, right?"

Glancing back over to smile at Kitty, motioning a little that she 'can' help get things served if she wants. "So the Parker's are all pretty much full blooded Irish. How about you? It's funny to me, as much as he talks about you, he literally never tells me ANYTHING.." Shooting her nephew a backwards glare, ".. about you."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde pauses to look at one of the photos, primarily because it shows Uncle Ben in it along with Peter and Aunt May. "This is Ben?" Kitty confirms, her voice softening just slightly, knowing that it has been years, but letting her tone convey her gentle thoughts on the matter. "Peter's had so many good things to say about him. About you both," she says, moving to rejoin them as they head to the kitchen.

The pretty brunette smiles softly at the interaction between the pair. One good sign of truly pleasant people, is them picking on each other. You can tell when something they'd only do with someone they love, and that is clearly the case here.

Kitty moves to the cupboards, motioning to them and letting May nod her to the right one so Kitty can start getting plates out. "I'm a horror in the kitchen when it comes to cooking, unfortunately. But I make a fine helper so long as I'm not in charge of dishes, my mother always said," Kitty tells May. She carries the plates over to set them out, then moves back past Peter, brushing a hand over his back as she does. The look in her eyes that is shined at him has such warmth, it would be obvious to anyone seeing it how Kitty feels about Peter.

As she gets silverware, Kitty says, "My family are mostly Polish. Especially on my father's side. The war was really rough on us," she says, voice softening a little. "And most of the family, once liberated, set out for America. Settled near Chicago, which has a huge Polish population. In fact it's actually the second largest city of Polish descent behind Warsaw. I grew up in Deerfield," she says.

Years might heals wounds, but it only creates scars.

May glances up at the picture with a smile, but it's one there's a clear sadness in her eyes. "Yeah, that's Ben. He was a good man." Peter likewise nods, glancing down at the counter as if suddenly eaten up by sadness... maybe guilt? He blows out a heavy sigh, but the touch to his back brings him back from whatever dark place he's temporarily gone. Glancing up and over at Kitty with a smile, Gorgeous. I told you she'd love you. "Stop whispering, I have ears like a cat." May murmurs, smiling sweetly at Kitty and nodding her towards the indicated cupboard above Peter's head. He helps by handing three matching, but simple, plates to hand to Kitty with a goofy grin.

"... did he just do work without a whip?" May has a mocking little curl to her chin, nodding approvingly at Katherine, "I'm impressed." "I work.. I have like thirty three jobs." Shot playfully back at his aunt. "Sure sure, but not house chores. I've seen your apartment."

She does, in fact, see that look in Kitty's eyes and all teasing of Peter is temporarily gone from her bright smile when she looks from their guest, up to Peter, nodding as if.. giving her approval.. maybe confirming his acertion that she does, in fact, love this woman.

But it's short lived, at least temporarily short lived, when Kitty explains her heritage. A small frown, glancing over at the young lady moving about helping her get the table set while she brings over a big bowl of order out pasta, "Chicago." Dipping her head, flicking her hand for the wine bottle, which Peter holds out, then replaces with three glasses held by their thick stims between his fingers on the way over to join the pair. "I've actually never been..." If Ben is a sour subject for her, she must realize how terrible talking of the 'war' must be for Kitty. "Well, I'm glad you made it to New York.. How did that happen, anyways? School? Work?"

Shadowcat has posed:
Maybe Kitty senses the mood having dipped a bit as sad subjects are touched on. She sets the silverware out and then smiles over to May brightly. "School actually," she says, seeming upbeat about the topic and hoping the attitude catches on. "I had a preparatory school come recruit me," she says. Two actually. "And interacting with the people visiting from it, I realized it was a special place." They were mutants, and helped her understand the weird occurrence, waking up downstairs when she had laid down upstairs. "There was another school also recruiting, but, I made the right choice in the long run." The Hellfire Knights, capturing the X-men who came to recruit Kitty. The rest of the team coming when Kitty called for help, showing her the kind of people they were.

Kitty gets the glass and takes a sip of the wine. "I finished school early and went to Oxford then," she says. "And came back after, back to the school. Which is where I met Peter. Though, it wasn't until lately I really got to know how wonderful he was," Kitty says, her eyes going back to Peter, smiling over to him. "And, well. It's been a pretty amazing time since I did realize," she says.

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter reaches out to brush a bit of hair off Kitty's temple with a deeply engaging smile full of adoration when she explains how and where they met. If there were any doubt remaining in May's mind, seeing that look in her nephew seems to have sealed it, "Well, we're lucky you did. He's a wonderful kid and you seem like an equally wonderful, young lady." Scooping out healthy helpings of pasta with a big spoon that is almost certainly not meant for serving. Cooking was never one of her many talents either.

Pete glances up at his serrogate mother with playfully rolling eyes and so much love on his face for her that it might light up the room, "Gee thanks, May.. I get to be a boy, she gets to be a lady..." Hands up, mock defensively, "Shall I never grow up? Am I forever to be Peter Pa- oh... oh no..." May has a look, it is a devilish look, and it's focused cleanly upon her nephew. It's a look that screams, you ort not have mentioned Peter Pan "Ohhh noo...." Head hanging backwards, tongue lulled out the side of his mouth.

QUICK SUBJECT CHANGE, GO GO GO

"Well, what she DIDN'T tell you is she's got double Ph.D's." Peter hopes to distract his loving aunt from ruining him completely with pictures before they've even had a chance to eat, "Computer Engineering and English Lit.." Leaning towards Kitty to speak conspiratorially, "May has a degree in English Lit.." wiggle pointing between the pair, "You two discuss Shakespeare.." That's a safe topic, totally.

"How about we discuss James Matthew Barrie, hmmm Peter? Hmmmmmmm..." Wiggling her crinkled nose at him with puckered lips. Her dark gaze settles on Kitty, "Is this the school where Peter teaches?" Of course it is, sucking her pinky where some sauce has gotten on it, an almost exact move he's made himself on more than one occation while eating. "I keep telling him he needs to finish his degree, that he can stay here until he's properly graduated... but no, he wants to be thirty something years old working on his first masters." As if that's something terrible, amirite?

Shadowcat has posed:
The approval given by Peter's Aunt May leaves Kitty Pryde with an almost visible glow. It was so important to her that Peter's loved ones might accept her and be happy to have her with Peter. "Thank you," Kitty tells May, her expression putting so much more of her emotions into the gratitude than just her tone could convey.

Kitty moves over to the table, pausing by Peter first to lean against him, a hand curling up over the back of his shoulder as she leans her head against the same spot. Her heart is beating quickly as she smiles up to him, then finally moves to take a seat.

Kitty blushes just a bit as Peter mentions her degrees, though smiles to May. "Oh, I /love/ James Mathew Barrie. Perhaps you know some good stories relating to him?" Kitty asks May, her face bright at the prospect of hearing stories from Peter's youth. Kitty slides her hand over to rest in Peter's though, to lessen the sting?

"Yes, the same school," Kitty confirms. "And as it turns out, well I've been filling a guidance counselor role there part time since I got back. But I also landed a job a few months ago where Peter is going to be starting up," she says.

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter's adoration is measured in his blue eyes cast up at Kitty when she leans down upon his shoulder, reaching a hand up to partially enclose her in that circlet of his elbow, turning slightly to kiss her cheek. Something, some words, they dance on his lips a second.. just back there.. they almost slip.. but he checks it and lets her slide over to the chair with his hand out-stretched with the most quiet of groans when she opens the pandoras box of his embarassing interlude.

"Oh... I assure you I've stories." May teases to Kitty, at Peter's visible expense. She takes a seat once the plates are dished and reaches for her wine glass, "Has he not told you of his leading role at Middleton?" She casts a playfully disapproving glare at him then, holding her wine up in both hands with her elbows on the table, "Well.. we'll have to remedy that. I've tons of pictures and video evidence that have been verified for authenticity... he was so adorable in his little green tights."

It hasn't even been shown yet and he's already mortified. "Shoot me..." Head way back, eyes rolled into his skull, but yet grinning. He makes a big show of being embarassed and truth is he absolutely is, but the fact May is pulling out the photo albums and Kitty wants to see them?

That's a big deal

Shadowcat has posed:
The mention of the videos and pictures being authenticated brings a delighted giggle from Kitty. She swings her soft brown eyes over to Peter, shining a smile at him. "Peter seems to have neglected to tell me that story, May, so I would be delighted to see them."

Despite Peter's mortification, the young woman of his affections seems only more charmed to be learning these things about Mr. Peter Parker. Kitty eats her pasta, complimenting May on the choice in food as the meal continues. "So what was Peter like was a boy? Did he always have his keen interest in science and his delightful outlook on the world? Or did something take him in that direction?" she asks May.

Kitty's eyes swing back over to Peter. "He's really one of the most thoughtful men I've ever encountered," she says quietly, and looking down with a private smile. "I'm still not sure how I lucked into finding him at the right time like this," she says. "But I won't argue it."

Kitty takes a sip of of her wine and then says, "I don't know if Peter mentioned it, but, Betsy and I are old friends. And she was encouraging."

Spider-Man has posed:
"Did he not... Peter." May reaches out to slap at his hand laid on the tabletop, it's truly not that big at all this table. "How could you not tell her about you're adorable wol skirt and hat?" Peter, as one might expect, sinks down into his chair. He's saved only by Kitty's proximity and looks in her direction with a moritified, if still quite adoring, stare. "You see? I told you... cool points, gone..."

May snorts, starting in on her pasta as well with infrequently sips of wine to clear her mouth, "He's more like Ben every day." She says through what is obviously an unpleasant conversation, but one she seems willing to have with Kitty. The banter, the way the pair of them look at each other, apparently May has made a decision about the young lady and smiles in her direction. "He was." She says of his love of science.

Peter leans over his food after brushing his fingers against Kits arm, eating quietly with a little smile. Some sadness at the mention of Uncle Ben, but still quite wide. If he's embarassed, and he is, it's for a good cause. "He took apart his first x-box the day after his birthday because he wanted to see how it worked... How old were you then?" "Six." He murmurs, cheeks getting a little flushed at this positive attention, where as before he just rolled his eyes when he was being teased.

"Six, yes.. then in High School, he had a professor.. got him into the mathletes, science club..." She forks up some pasta and motions at Peter indicating that the rest is what they see now.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty gives a little girlish sigh. "I was in science club too," she stage whispers to Peter. "He has a brilliant mind from what I've seen. I was glad to have him teaching at the school, but from what I could see of Peter working with the students, I could tell his knowledge was extremely advanced," she comments to May.

Kitty gets some pasta on fork, leaving it to hover over her plate as she is invested in the conversation. "And what do you do, May? I don't think Peter has ever mentioned your own occupation. Are you teaching with your degree? Or writing or something?" Kitty inquires.

She finally takes the bite of pasta, smiling appreciatively at the flavor. "I want to thank you, too, for being so kind and welcoming to me. Peter has really come to mean so much to me. He gets such a glow when he talks about you. It's easy to see how much you both mean to each other. That means a lot to me, too. My family had always been really close like that," she says. "Though my father and mother separated a little while back, it still hasn't stopped them from making it continue to feel like a close family."

Spider-Man has posed:
May had not missed mention of Betsy, she's just weighing how much to weigh in on the subject, and decides that if the trio are comfortable.. "I like Betsy." She says after a moment, taking another bite of pasta and sip of her wine to wash it down, "She had such troubled eyes though.. I was sorry to hear..." Glancing up at Peter who has his brow raised at her, reaching over to Kitty for just a moment, a brush of his fingers really, before he too resumes eating, "Anyways.. I'm glad that she's given her blessing. It was very thoughtful of you to speak with her about." Said to Kitty with a warm smile, clearly Peter had told her as much.

There's little he doesn't really.

WELL.. there's some things he neglects to mention.

"I love teaching.. especially at the institute." Peter says around his fork, dabbing at his mouth. He starts to say something before he's swallowed and finds a fork pointing at him viciously, which immediately silences the never ending vomit of words that always seem to flow freely from his mouth.

"Me? I mostly do community work. I'm the manager down at one of the youth centers here in Queens. When I took Peter in, Ben and I.. we were a bit rough around the edges. Not bad, just..." She shrugs a bit, still smiling, "Peter was the catalyst that made us a family.. taught me how much I love children and was the crutch upon which I leaned after Ben passed.." Her fork clinks quietly and she reaches out for his hand, squeezing it once, then retakes the fork. "Anyways.. I do a little writing on the side. I'm sure that's where Peter gets it from, though I wish he'd do better than that dribble down at the Bugle. Ben could barely put two words together to form a sentence."

There's the hint of a truly loving smile there, now directed to Kitty.

"I hope... maybe one day you'll have them visit and I can meet your family." Peter coughs a little, glancing from Kits, to May, in a cartoonish back and forth. "Is it cool if I meet them first? You know.. progression of events and all that.. I need some priority here!" A playful temper tantrum.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty leans forward slightly across the table. "Of course you can, May. My mother would love to meet you. Theresa is her name. My father, Carmen, is living overseas at the moment. So I don't get to see him as often. Mom came in for Purim back in March," Kitty says of the Jewish holiday. She glances over to Peter. "We took Lorna's father to temple with us. It was... well, I was hopeful it might help him regain some of his faith. I still am," she says.

Wait, Lorna? But her father is...

Kitty smiles softly to Peter and says, "And of course you can meet her first, Peter." She grins over to him, only willing to take teasing him so far. "She's looking forward to meeting you. She was a bit surprised when I told her, well, just how I feel about you. With, recent things, I mean. Said, you must be someone really special," Kitty says, getting more pasta on her fork. "And, she's right. Understatement really," Kitty says, her smile growing even warmer.

"So May, have you traveled very much? Do you and Peter get out on many trips?" Kitty inquires.

Spider-Man has posed:
May is unfamiliar with Lorna, but she seems delighted to hear that Kitty is bringing someone lost back to their faith and smiles as much, "That's pretty amazing of you.. I'm thinking I'll quite rather like your mom if she's raised a thoughtful lady like you." Peter, on the other hand, is well aware of Lorna. His brow perks a little and he glances to the side at Kitty, actually kind of nodding impressed. Magneto, at temple, he'd have paid hard cash to see that.

"Feelings mutual." He says to her with a half grin and a wink, "Now that you've come around on the whole Star Wars debockle.." Joking, taking another bite of pasta with an appreciative sound after another swallow of wine. "Do I even want to know?" Asks May with a laugh, "You know, he gets THAT from me too? Ben was more of a gamer.. but I love movies... the classics, science fiction." She says with a bemused, loving smile direct at her nephew. She's forfiet her fork in favor of holding her glass in both hands.

"mmm, a couple. We never had much money when Pete was younger, but we tried to do stuff as often as we could.. Oh, remember the time we were going down to Orlando?" Peter laughs into the back of his hand, glancing from May to Kitty, "We passed through this little town in North Carolina.. Edgeton-" May corrects him, "Eddington." Smiling as he nods her way, "Eddington.. Uncle Ben kept insisting that he saw a Denny's.. we'd been on the road for hours. So we're going back and forth up this single strip trying to find this imaginary dennys because we're all starving.. about I think like fourty minutes.." Motioning back and forth with his fork, "There's a hopsital sign off this little tiny side road, but Uncle Ben keeps ignoring it, swears he saw a sign, demands it's just ahead."

Peter brush his mouth with his wrist, "Aunt May makes him take the side road and not a mile down the road there's.. everything.. McDonalds, Burger King.. and Uncle Ben gets this big bright smile and screams- AH HA! I told you a saw a Denny's!"

Both of them break into laughter.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde lets out a soft laugh at the mention of the movies. "Peter, you do know I just conceded being nice. New Hope is still the better movie," she tells him with a grin. Kitty looks back to May and says, "We have the sweetest talks. He wooed me with Darth Vader and the biology of slugs, and... what girl can resist that, really?" Kitty has a big grin, and reaches over to give Peter's hand a squeeze.

She listens to the story about the trip, grinning a bit more as each part of it unfolds. By the end, Kitty is laughing along with them. She's left with such a warm smile, glancing between mother and son. Because even if she's Aunt May, it's clear to Kitty that's what they are.

Kitty tops off everyone's one glasses. "This has been such a nice meal," she says, shining a smile over to May. "Thank you for inviting me into your home. I've missed having moments like this," she says. Even though the school is a family, it's a different sort of family.

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter is literally crying a little by the time his laughter starts to slow, red in the face, "You should have seen how happy he was... like he'd just proved us all wrong.." May is likewise bemused, watching as Peter turns his hand over to momentarily link his fingers with Kitty's. "How long ago was that?" She asks sipping her wine, "Eleven years?" Pete chortles a little and nods, "Yeah, right before my birthday, two thousand eleven.." He rolls his shoulders and chuckles once more. Though something is slowly starting to slip into the absence of laughter between mother and son, one looking up at the other as the years line up.. the dates start to figure into their head.

"Right before my fifteenth birthday..." Peter says quieter, still trying to smile, but it's not really as bright anymore. May glances down at her glass and presses her lips together, eyes moving slowly across her hand where she's still wearing her weddding band. When she glances up again, she's smiling, but it's with a different kind of tears in her eyes. "Would anyone like pie?" She says from a shaky voice and slips up from the table to walk over and grab a napkin to dab at the sides of her face as if she's some bit of food and doesn't want them to see it.

Pete looks to Kitty and smiles, it's genuine, but it's definitely sad. "I'm glad you're here, Kits." He tells her, blinking a few times and rubbing his wrist across his right eye when a tear rolls down his cheek. May mirrors it, "Enough of that, come on.. this isn't how we entertain your lovely girlfriend.. I'll get the pie warmed up, Peter, go show Katherine around and we can look at some pictures while we have desert."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde rises from the table fairly shortly after May. The older woman is given time to dab at her eyes, but soon after she finds Kitty there, moving to offer her a hug. If May accepts it, Kitty hugs her tight and lets May just more of those feelings out, completely accepting of her. Kitty will look over to Peter, enough in her expression to welcome him into the hug as well.

Whether it is one Parker, or two, Kitty will hug them until they are ready to let go. She probably has own eyes looking a little misty by the time that happens. "Pie sounds delicious," she says. She starts to offer to get it, but May tasks Peter with showing her around. "Alright, I'd like to see the place," Kitty agrees.

She gives May's hand a warm squeeze then before turning to slip her hand over into Peter's. She moves close to him, pressing against his side for a moment as she gazes up at the man that in her eyes, is as handsome as they come. "Do you have one of those walls where your height is recorded?" she asks him.

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter is up as Kitty is, moving towards his Aunt as she turns to embrace the young woman without even a note of hesitation. Her chin is wrinkled a touch, but she's determined not to sob, even if her heart feels like a jack hammer against the woman in her arms. Like the younger, May reaches out for Peter, and he buries his face in his aunts shoulder, one arm around Kitty's shoulders. After only a second he turns and kisses the top of her head, neither seeming inclined to seperate for at least a full sixty count.

When they do, May is holding to one of each of their hands, "Katherine, you are welcome in my home anytime you wish.. and I hope, genuinely, that you and my nephew.." She shakes her head, removing her hand from Peter's only to pull him over to kiss his forehead, then shove him playfully with fingers against his chest. "Alright, get out of here.. go show her around, I'll have the wine and desert in the living room."

Peter clears his throat, head bent forward a little, hand in Kitty's, but he's smiling quietly. Tugging encouragingly for her come with him out of the kitchen, "Not here.." He says, still wiping at the corners of his eyes with the thumb of his free hand. "We moved here shortly after Ben passed.. before that we lived in a house across town.. wasn't much bigger.." Truly, the apartment isn't really that big, but Pete shows her what little there is to see. The bathroom, the door to May's room at the end of the hall, and then his own room with the Keep Out: Learnin' in progress biohazard style sign on the surface. "This is me.." Bemused, as he comes around, pushing the door open to let her see the geekdom that was his youth.

Action figures on every shelf, comic books, a couple of them of Captain America even.. and a computer he clearly built himself. A bunk bed sits against the wall near the window. "It aint much, but..." Motioning for her to look around with a hand trailing up her arm until she's ahead of him with both of his hands on her shoulders behind her. "Try to ignore the fact I've Captain America figures. I was eighteen, okay?" Some of his humor returning, apparently.

Shadowcat has posed:
May and Peter get only the gentle and warmest of looks from Kitty as she commiserates with them. She smiles to May, not really needing to say more than that look of gratitude at May's welcoming way with Kitty.

She lets May shoo them out of the kitchen following Peter along. "It has quite the feeling of a home," Kitty tells him, and meaning it. There are spaces people live in. And then there are homes. This is the latter.

Kitty moves into Peter's room. Smiling as he moves up behind her, hands on her shoulders. Rather than move away from him though, she leans back against him as she looks around from where she is. "So you'd sneak out the window?" she asks him. "Where did you hide your costume?" she asks quietly, with a grin.

Kitty looks over at the Captain America action figures. She picks one up up, looking at him. Then she turns the figure around to his backside. "Yep, that's Steve," she comments with a laugh, turning to flash a playful grin to Peter as she puts the figure back away. "I'm kidding!" she tells him before he can get on her about it, and she leans her head back against him. "I love your aunt," Kitty tells Peter. She reaches up her hand to rest on his. "I didn't imagine otherwise, but, she's just the best, Peter," Kitty says.

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter's arms close around the front of Kitty's chest with his head leaning forward on her shoulder when she leans back against him, "Yeah..." He muses with a half smile, still a little red eyed, but largely feeling better now that he can't see his aunt crying and having a moment alone with Kits, "Had it worked out to a science... as you do when you're a young scientist who is also a lowkey superhero in a hoodie and swimming goggles." Murmuring against her ear. He glances back at the door and pushes it closed to just a crack as he pulls away from her and steps in the direction of the small closet. There's clothes there, mostly stuff from high school though, but a lot of it isn't terribly different than what he wears everyday now. "I found a.... here.." He pushes against one of the side walls and moves the sheet rock to show her a cobwebbed little cubby inbetween his room and May's.

"It actually goes up to the roof, but I could never find a way out up there.." He says with a dramatic sigh and a glance back at her, slipping from the closet about the time she's grabbing the Captain America figure to turn around, confirming identity by america's Ass. "Hah!" He actually laughs, "Don't make me jealous of a toy, Kits.. that's not fair. Those are impossible standards to stand up to, okay?"

He kisses her neck quickly, like a boy stealing a peck from a girl in the hallway at school, on his way to his desk. Dropping down there, with one arm up on the back and the other on the corner beside his computer. "Did I tell you about the first time I met him?" Pointing two fingers at the figure.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty tilts her head at the kiss to her neck, her only regret being it is a short one. She looks around the room more, and at the cubbyhole that Peter shows her. "Hrm, hold that thought," she tells him as he mentions his first meeting with Captain America. Kitty glances towards the door, and then leans her face through the wall, enough to see the inside of the cubbyhole. She looks from side to side and then climbs upwards, moving smoothly up into the ceiling to her waist.

She comes back down and waves to Peter. "I think there's a way," she says. If he joins her, she takes his hand and phases them both through the ceiling so he can see. "Right over there, I bet you can remove that vent and get out, assuming you could get to it," she says. "Might have to take out a bit of this beam to fit, but it looks like it's just framing, not structural."

Peter's girlfriend phases them both back down into his room then. She guides him back to his desk to sit, so she can then sit so down sideways in his lap, her arms going around him. "Ok, tell me about meeting Steve for the first time," she says with a smile.

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter smirks as Kitty's head disappears into the side of the wall as if it were made out of some insoluable substance that is of no concern to her physical form what so ever.. "That is never going to not amaze me..." SO MANY QUESTIONS. His hand reaches out towards hers from above, kicking off the wall with a quick scamper with his feet easily sticking tot he surface, even through his shoes, to crawl up into the joint space between the walls. Looking in the indicated direction, "Huh.." He chortles, tilting his head this way, that, and around as if gauging the structural integrity of the walls around him. "I think you're right.. actually I know you are." Is it possible for him to fall for her more?

Yup.

Just did.

When they've returned to the room, he's doing mental calculations in his head with his eyes looking at the rough position of that vent as it relates to where he's now dropping into the chair. It isn't until she deposits herself sideways in his lap that he looks down with a huge grin, "Can you imagine if we'd met when we were younger?" He asks in that way people do, wishful thinking at its best.

But there's a story to tell.... and Pete nods, laying a hand on her leg just belowt he hem of her shorts, "So.. have you ever met Deadpool?"

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde makes little purring growl sound at his hand resting on the skin of her thigh. They aren't particular short shorts, but she likes the touch just the same. "Actually, I have on a few occasions. He comes by the school. And... um, we let him in. Not quite sure I fully understood that part, but I imagine it has something to do with trying to help people become better versions of themselves," Kitty muses.

"Ran into him at Avengers Mansion. He came out of the bathroom with toilet paper stuck to his foot. And then wrapped himself around Steve in this... awkward full-on body hug. Steve couldn't get loose without getting violent so I phased him out. Wade wanted to stab me as I recall, but seemed to have forgot by the next time I ran into him. Thankfully," Kitty says, shaking her head. "But, if you're bringing him up, I'm sure this is going to be a doozy of a story."

Spider-Man has posed:
"Yup, you know Deadpool." Peter's hands kind of drum slightly, once, around the exposed bit of skin to stretch them out in a most dramatic fashion because growly purrs.. "So I'd just gotten run over by a Prius." See how good this story is going to be? "Hit by it really, knocked into a coffee shop.. anyways. I was sitting up on a roof with Spider-Girl... she prefers Ghost Spider, but she's Spider-Girl... and Deadpool pops up." He rolls his eyes and rubs his hand lightly across her knee as he continues.

"So I'm swinging home after getting my wind back and he just teleports in and kidnaps me to Canada.. his house.. I still have no idea where we were.. It was very weird." Very weird, as all things involving Deadpool are. "Cooked me a hotpocket... sitting in his kitchen, which smelled like dirty socks and old people... and that's not even an exageration... then took off his mask." He literally looks a little green remembering it. "Anyways, long story short, I got sick and I'm never eating another hotpocket as long as live. Which bugs me because I really liked hotpockets."

"ANYWAYS..." Down her shin and back up with his hand, just his fingertip, "After he forced me to watch Netflix with him for an hour or two, he teleports me to the Avengers Mansion grounds... so I'm disoriented, still remembering Deadpool's face, half a hotpocket in my stomach, and here comes mister America's Gams sauntering down like an Greek God."

His hand comes up, around Kitty's shoulder so that he can facepalm, "I imediately tell him my real name... then turn and vomit on the front lawn of the Avengers Mansion... infront of Captain America.." His eyes cut to the side, looking at her through his fingers, "And that's how I became an Avenger." That long story was told specifically to tell her he's an Avenger.

Peter Parker ladies and gentlemen. Tip your waitress.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty really does her best not to laugh at first. Though by the end of the story, she's shaking, her flat belly trembling with laughter. "Oh Peter, that's precious," she says, laughing and shaking her head. "I bet he probably hasn't told a soul about it, either," she says.

Kitty grins and leans her head on Peter's shoulder. "I don't know Steve all that well really. I mean, well enough to go over and say hello and hang out probably. But I don't really know, I've just been around him a few times and worked on some things with him. The Sentinels and things. I know Janet far better. She's like a bestie," Kitty says grinning. "She was the Avenger I took my mask off with, and let them know who I was. And she did a dress fitting for me. Oh god, Pete you have to see this dress!" she says excitedly.

Kitty gives Peter speculative look. "You probably don't like to dress up too much I'm guessing? Or would going to like... a charity ball in a tux or suit, appeal at all?" she asks.

Spider-Man has posed:
Pete brings the hand upon which he's palming his face down around Kitty's neck after pulling hair away from it, completing a conduit between himself and her through both hands, positive and negatives. "Probably not, no." Said with a little grin, "I like Cap... Steve. I had some real... issues.. resently and he let me air them out. Kind of worried I might have poked the party hog a bit. Met his friend, Mr SourPuss McNoGrin... I do not like this man... at all..." One finger traces her jaw as the other had been rubbing her knee.

Janet.

Peter twitches a little, but he's smiling. "She's friends with Betsy. Went to prep school together or something... when I met her she looked at me like a pile of human waste in the park.. then again in the Avengers Mansion, she was texting with Betsy to deliberately make me uncomfortable.. which already was." That said, "Otherwise, yeah, she seems like a real pal.. but she scares the shit out of me." He rarely swears. Must mean it.

"She was circling around me looking at me... and it made me feel so damn small I wanted to crawl into a hole and disappear... but that's basically all the time, so..." He shrugs and tilts his head to lay against the side of Kits.

"I went to a few with Betsy." Sucking the back of his teeth, "Didn't really feel right, though. She just disappears into a crowd and I'm not as good in them ... but for you?" His fingers touch her forehead and pull gently so that he can look around into her eyes, "Totally, besides, I want to see this dress.. if that means putting on a gorilla suit, small price to pay." He leans down and kisses her, tender, softly, but stays there a moment or two longer than that.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde's arms slide up and around Peter's shoulders. The kiss is beautiful, tender and deep. The kind of kiss that would have a Hollywood director revolving cameras around it because just one angle isn't enough to capture the majesty of it. But the sight of it is nothing compared to being part of it.

Kitty's breathing deeply by the time their lips part. "Oh. My. You /are/ a good kisser, Mr. Parker," she tells him with a soft laugh. She gets a soft, happy smile. "I wouldn't ask you to stay long. But I would like to walk into somewhere like that with you. On your arm. And show you off, all handsome," she says, looking over Peter and smiling so at what she sees. Her hands move slowly over his shoulders, quickly become one of her favorite parts of him to touch.

"Janet... if you were already broken up, I imagine she would do that just out of loyalty to her. She is a little firecracker and dynamo. But also very loyal and loving. She's also had some bad relationships under her belt so can be a little jaded about them," Kitty says.

She swallows. Never mind that Janet's advice to Kitty was right in the end. Because, it could also apply to Peter, then. And it /isn't/ right about him. She's sure of that.

"You know, I'd really like to introduce you to Mr. Wayne. It feels like it would be awkward though. I mean, it would be, but I know he'd be happy for me, for us, too," she says.

Spider-Man has posed:
Yeah, being part of that kiss was a lot better than anything Pete had ever seen in the movies. A hand up against the back of her neck, the other coming to snake around her waist, he dips her down before it ends and easily holds her there with the strength of the arms attached to shoulder which Kitty loves to touch so much. When the break away, he's carrying her in his arms, having stood up as easily as if she were light as a feather, to walk them away from the chair in a slow twirl as if they might be standing in some grand ballroom rather than a tiny apartment in Queens.

He hums something quietly to himself, but loud enough for to hear it, as he spins. Not so fast as to keep her from talking, just enough that the room panaramas around them. 360 degrees of geeky, nerdy, young Peter Parker on display. "I get that." Of being loyal to old friends. His arms releas her legs, but he keeps her balanced with just the grip against her shoulder. Pulling her against the inside craddle of his side like a gentle vice to keep her from falling. He continues to spin a little, firs tone way, then the other, his hand up as if offering for her to take it.

"Gwen is probably the closet I've got to a friend like that. I went to school with her.. so we've known each other a long time.. I can always tell her anything, you know? Never once have I had to wonder if she'd be there for me, I can count on it without question." Twirl with a bit more umph, on the very tip of his right foots toes. With his agility, grace, and strength he really could be a great dancer if he'd get rhythm.

"I can also understand being jaded about relationships.. I've not had many of them, I know.. and only two that were serious." Shuffling a little backwards towards the wall, it's not really in any sync to any music and is awkward, but.. "One of them.. well... it's why Janet was teasing me."

His hand extends so that she can spin beneath it at whatever speed she desires, "And the other one..." Puling her back to him, arm around her back, "Is you."

Mr Wayne? Peter's eyes go wide... "As in.. BRUCE Wayne? You know BRUCE WAYNE?! ... Like ... Billionaire Br- oooooooo..." The riiiiiiiing... "Oooh yeah... wow..." Blinking, "Wow... you... woooooow..." Face all scrunched up. "I mean.. yeah, sure.. of course... Really? Bruce Wayne?"

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde lets out a happy laugh and she clings to Peter happily, letting him hold her off the ground as he dances her around the room. She gazes at him, hand moving up to brush through the hair along his face. Kitty has no desire for her feet to touch down again. This time with Peter has been like a dream, and it seems fitting that she float in his arms.

She finds herself about to say something. Short little words that would express what she's feeling. But she holds onto them for a little longer. Treasured little things that she'll save for just the right moment.

Though this? This is a pretty good moment.

Kitty moves easily enough once her feet are back on the ground though, spinning beneath his hand with a grace and elegance that make her comments about professional dancing seem realistic. She is gladly pulled back to Peter, moving into the fold of his arm. "Yes, Bruce Wayne. I thought you realized, sorry. Um, yes, so the person I was seeing, that gave me the promise ring, was his adopted son, Jason. And... well, Bruce has his reputation in the news and all. But, he's a really good man. Kind of like a father in some ways."

Spider-Man has posed:
Once Pete has his arm back around her waist, her feet need not ever touch the floor again, spinning as he does with her through his room. Even as she's telling him about the notably gigantic ring she was wearing that afternoon by the pool, "That's a pretty tough act to follow." He says matter of factly, not a shread of what most people might consider concern in his tone. Not that he's cocky because he's definitely not that.. he's just stating a fact. "I mean.. Betsy was pretty well off and all, but Bruce Wayne as an adopted father." He whistles low upon the back of his teeth.

Gliding with little short hops and arial twirls as if he's keenly aware without even looking away from the woman he's holding, precisely where he's at, precisely what's around him. At no point do they even come close to bumping something or even making a rough sound of landing upon feather light feet like some kind of man shaped cloud floating across limited space with no more concern for it than if they were phased. Which they could be....

"That's a... yeah.. I'd love to meet him, but I assure you I'm going to be so star struck he's going to think you're dating a mute." One foot touches the bottom of his bed and they're airborne for a brief second, that little hop clearing the distance to the wall near the door. His foot touches there and he sticks, the hand around her waist coming back to spread against the poster of Iron Man, while he holds her out a 45 degree angle where their fingers are linked together in an extended arm.

"But if you want me to meet him, I want to. The things that are important you will always be important to me. That goes for people... Even Janet... and she really scares the shit out of me."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty laughs warmly at their dancing, truly charmed as Peter literally takes her off the floor. She's happy to hold to him, though trusts his arm about her to keep her close just the same. "I'll work on Janet. I think once she realizes Betsy is happy for us, and also happy in her own right, it'll be good," she says. Kitty brushes her touch over Peter's cheek. "Once she sees how happy you make me, I don't doubt she'll be happy about it. But she might insist on making you a suit for wherever we go out to then," Kitty says, grinning.

"Seriously, Pete, you will wig out at her tech she uses in dress design. It has to be /the/ cutting edge set up in the world. I mean, I could improve on the hardware, but the software is really well done and doesn't need any upgrades," she tells him. "You know I need to check in on her. She has some issues at JVD that I was reading about. I didn't want to bother her much with that going on. But, need to let her know she's got my support."

Kitty leans in to kiss Peter softly before pulling back to look in his eyes as they dance. "This is so much different than my last relationship. Everyone was surprised by my last, because we seemed polar opposites. You... seem like a part of myself I was missing my whole life, but have found now."

Spider-Man has posed:
Pete continues to holder her at that half angle, himself stuck to the wall with one foot up, knee bent, and the other straight down turned at an impossible angle so he's three points of contact to keep himself from sliding... not that it would matter. After another few seconds, he pulls her back up and drops down to the floor with her bundled up against his side, "I get the impression she likes the fact that she makes me squirm." He says with a grin, "Which is okay because... well... I sometimes forget I'm not just some kid from Queens."

He IS Spider-Man.

how he manages to forget that when he gets around people is anyones guess, but it's a fact.

"I've got no hard feelings towards her.. If I thought someone might have hurt Gwen, I'd be all up in their snack cakes causing them to feel awkward in their shoes." Said with a little grin and one last spin that has them sitting back down in the chair with her once more sideways on his lap. Not even a bead of sweat.

"She has -cutting edge- technology for designing her cl-.." Of course she does. He should stop being surprised by anything, he should be surprised that he's still surprisable. "I hope she will. Cap is with her, so she's got to be good people... and now you're saying she is, so... I'm sold." Smiling, his hand comes up to move a few strands back over the top of her head, leaning in to kiss her nose.

"Boop."

Because he's a dork.

"Yeah.." Different. "Me and Betsy never did anything like this.. it was more clinical. I barely even remember it-" SO. META. "-but this?" He nods slowly, looking her directly in the eyes, "I don't ever want this to end. I have never felt this good, this alive, or this complete.. I want to say something, but I know I shouldn't yet..."

Shadowcat has posed:
The talk of Janet's talk gets a giggle from Kitty. So it's /that/ good of tech. "She designs her clothes down to accounting for individual stride and gait and how they will move on the person," Kitty says. "Her 3D modeling... if we did it with hardlight technology it would only improve the resolution slightly, it wouldn't provide any kind of clothing design improvement, it's that good," she says.

Kitty giggles then as Peter dancers her about. "And you claimed you weren't a good dancer," she tells him. She smiles at the nose kiss, sliding an arm about his shoulders, fingers going up the back of his neck into his hair. Yes, that spot. "I feel the same," she says, gazing into his eyes. "But, I'll save those words for another day," she tells him, grinning. Apparently the young woman is good at delaying gratification. But not to the point of leaving Peter hanging on her feelings.

Kitty finally dances away from him, moving to spin gracefully to the bed, ending up sitting. She leans back on her hands as she looks at Peter. "So happy right now," she tells him. "Your Aunt May is going to see the look on my face, and think we did something other than dance in here."

Spider-Man has posed:
Pete leans on his elbows, one upon the chair and the other on his desk, and watches Kitty spin out of his lap over to his bed after she tickled... THAT.. spot. His neck is twitching a little like a cat that got the base of it's tail scratched. He watches her move and fixes her in a grinning stare, turning the chair with a turn of his feet after leaning it back onto one leg. It settles down quietly so he's facing her, now leaning back and out so his foot is within an inch of her's.

It taps lightly out to the side so the inside of his toe is running along the outside of her's. His arms dangling down between his legs, gripping the seat beneath him. "I said I have no rhythm.. I never said a thing about being unable to dance.. I'll have you know I was in Peter Pan when I was thirteen..." He says matter of factly, letting his brain unpack that little morsel of I feel the same with a grin big enough to attract moths at night.

At the mention of his Aunt and what she may or may not think, Pete raises a brow, "She might." He nods slowly, methodically, watching Kitty. "Want to go back out to the living room?" He asks with his head tilting, leaving the question hanging in the little bit of distance between them.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty gets a thoughtful grin. "I could think of other things to do," she tells him slowly, but then breaks out in a soft chuckle and a just slightly suggestive look. "But... that would probably be for the best. I'd rather not get chased out of her home with a broom after she'd been so sweet and approving of me," Kitty tells him.

She smiles to Peter as she rises from the bed and moves back over to him. Her arms go around his shoulders and she whispers, "And seeing pictures of you as Peter Pan, is just going to make me love you all the more," she tells him.

Ok that doesn't actually count as saying it. Not technically. But the kiss she gives Peter is as good as those words.
