Synopsis:	In which Danny finally makes his business meeting, Marinette proves she can derail Adrien's brain with the right choice of clothing, and Adrien has no idea what urban education is. Or Let's start a charity!

Their last meeting cut short by an unwarranted emergency phone call, Danny Rand returns this evening to once again hash things out with Adrien Agreste. While some at Rand Industries feel this particular piece of business to be of minor importance, Danny has taken a special interest in it. His reason for this is probably not for any love of fashion or charity events, though, and more because of the powers Adrien has shown and off of late.

"Hi, Danny Rand for Adrien Agreste," he tells the doorman downstairs. He's shown to the elevators, just as before, and rides one way way up to the penthouse. He knocks, straightens his tie with one hand, and clutches a bottle of pinotage with the other.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
The lobby personnel let Mr. Rand up to the elevators. They buzz the penthouse, letting the residents know that he is on his way. Which explains why Adrien has turned off the video game console and is standing on the sofa trying to grab at the little black kitten that's climbed the curtains and is clinging to them. It's tail fluffed, the kitten clambers up to the railing near the ceiling, peering down at Adrien, tail swishing.

"Oh my god. Get down from there, you stupid cat!" Adrien says, not able to reach the feline, because he's not climbing on the back of hte sofa nor does he seem willing to dislodge the cute red plushie he's put on a shoulder.

It is a plushie, right?

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
Somehow, Marinette managed to make sure she was 'cleaned up' this time when Danny arrives. Likely because she started about an hour and a half earlier so that she had time to shower and change and look completely and utterly put together by the time it was time to set the table.

"Adrien...." Coming out of the kitchen for the first time since changing, Mari holds a plate of meets and cheeses just n front of her. "Be nice to him." And then she smirks. "Come on, Plagg. I've got dinner for you."

And then her eyes flit back to Adrien. "Maybe you should greet Danny. I'll take the food up to my room."

Danny waits patiently at the door. His phone buzzes in his pocket and he takes it out to check the caller ID. Nothing serious, because he stuffs it back away hurriedly. Or maybe he just doesn't want another night to be ruined by work. When the door does open, whoever is on the other side gets a warm smile and an excited, "Glad to see you!" from the young CEO. Plus, the bottle of wine as a gift.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Tiny green eyes flit to the platter, and Plagg leaps from teh curtains to land perfectly on the center of the tray. Adrien sighs lightly and gently deposits Tikki on Marinette's shoulder, only to pause mid thanks as he takes in what she's wearing.

A moment, a blush, and then Adrien clears his throat gifts Mari a light kiss on the cheek then makes his way to the door.

"Likewise, Mr. Rand. Thank you for coming again. I do hope whatever it was that called you away last time wasn't too serious," Adrien says as he lets Danny in, doing his best to angle the man so he won't look up the stairs at Marinette leaving with the tray and the feline munching out on it.

A few moments later, and Marinette's making her way back down the stairs, plate and little feline gone as well as the 'plushie'.

"Good evening, Danny," is greeted with a warm smile that causes her blue eyes to light up. "Please come in and make yourself at home. I hope everything's okay. And that you don't mind discussing business over appetizers. They're about ready."

Iron Fist has posed:
Danny steps into the penthouse and does a quick sweep of the room, qi and all, to get a feel for the energy there. It's a habit so natural at this point that he doesn't even realize he does it, but it has triggered some important alarms in the past.

"Oh, it wasn't nearly as important as some made it seem," he tells Adrien with a hint of bitterness. This passes, however, When Matinette walks back downstairs.

"Nice to see you again," he tells her, offering the pinotage. "I brought something this time," he adds. Then, to Adrien, "Where can we talk?"

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
"In the living room, or out on the patio?" Adrien offers after several moments of being distracted by the vision walking down the stairs. He has to blink and shake hi head to get back into Face of Agreste mode again, and his smile is just as flawless as it always is on the cover of a magazine or in front of the press. He reaches for the offered bottle with his right hand where a faint sweep of old magic lingers. It wasn't on him when they first met.

"Thank you for the wine. Let me go get it on ice?"

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
The offered gift has Marinette smiling. "That was really sweet, Danny. Thank you!" A step forward is taken and she reaches up, hugging him gently. The little black earrings seem to hum a faint, old magic that is slowly but steadily fading.

Stepping back, she holds her hand out for the wine. "I'll take care of it while you guys get settled? I'll bring appetizers and drinks just as soon as I get the rest of it pulled together?"

Danny catches the chi-whiff of old magic on the two and tries not to betray that knowledge with any stray looks of confusion. That turns out to be an incredibly easy task when around such affable company. He returns Mari's hug with a polite one of his own and lets go of the bottle. "Looking forward to it," he tells the woman, before turning to the Adrien.

"It's a nice night out and I've been stuck in the office all day. Patio sounds fantastic." His eyes roll up a little to show just how good of an idea that sounds. "I'll follow you." And he does once they get moving.

With an easy smile, Adrien nods. He brushes a hand on Marinette's shoulder as starts past her. It's clear the young man is smitten.

"Sure. Sounds good. This way," he says, leading the way toward the patio garden just beyond the sliding glass doors. The water that spills from the hot tub into the swimming pool fills the air with the gentle sound of a water feature. The air is filled with a soft and pleasant floral scent from the fresh blooms here.

"So. What can I do for the Rand Corporation, Mr. Rand?" Adrien asks as they step out, tone back to business.

Danny takes in this new part of the penthouse with a grin. There were certainly no expenses spared in its design and decor. As he walks, his footsteps pad silently along behind Adrien. He clears his throat.

"Well, this would be about the upcoming charity show our companies are partnered with," Danny says. He pauses for a moment, because the question caught him off guard a bit. "I'm here to make sure we can move forward with it. I understand you've had a difficult time lately."

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
"The Agreste company has no intentions of dissolving itself of any of its responsibilities or obligations, Mr. Rand. My difficulties aside, I know what I need to go in order for the project to move forward, and you'll have my full cooperation," states Adrien, sounding a little too much like the perfect soundbite as he stands with his hands to his sides, back straight. Almost like he's in front of a press conference podium too.

"Moreso now, is it important for Agreste to give back and ensure that people forget the incident as quickly as possible."

Danny, on the other hand, is anything but rigid. In fact, it's becoming well-known in their circles that the new CEO of Rand Enterprises, while being no less business-minded than others working there, is more relaxed than most in the way he conducts his business. So, after receiving Adrien's little speech, he takes moment to smile and consider the young man.

"Of course," he says, eventually. "Why don't we have a seat?" He continues speaking in his calm and mannered way, while his chi projects an equally calming presence. "I'm hoping that you and I can get a better of idea of what this sort of project can mean. And not just for our companies, I mean."

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
"Yes. Of course," says Adrien, calming down a bit from the 'work mode' of a heartbeat ago. He smiles a little more genuinely as he motiong toward the furinture that's out here, clean and perfect despite obviously staying exposed to the elements. No detail over looked, after all. As he moves to sit, Adrien's eyes flick back to the open sliding door, toward the kitchen, already missing Marinette's presence.

"The summer runways at Bryant Park closed yesterday, so we'd have to wait until the start of hte Fall Season if you wanted to do runways."

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
Finally, Marinette walks out onto the patio. She's fot a medium sized tray in each hand which is set to the table with fluid ease. "Mini smoked salmon croque-monsieur," is said as she sits the first tray down. "And porcini mushroom tartlets," is offered as the second tray is placed.

Straightening, she grins at both men. "The wine is chilling so that will take a moment and I have the table to set. Can I get you boys anything else?"

If she's at all aware ofnthe conversation, she's staying quiet on it.

Danny takes a seat in the surprisingly comfortable chair and leans back. He sets folded hands into his lap and looks quite peaceful as he says, "This fall gives us enough time to get everything in order then. We'll hammer out the details for the chairty and the sponsors if you can take care of the show itself. I'm hoping that sharing our expertise will open new doors for both of us."

It's at this point taht the food arrives, and Danny lovingly over the bits of meat and mushroom before looking up to Marinette. "You'll join us later, won't you?" He asks as a way of saying he needs nothing more.

When that's out of the way, he adds to Adrien. "More than all that, though, I'm looking to form partnerships with people, and given what I know about you, I think we might work very well together."

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Sitting as well, Adrien nods to talk of the charity.

"We should first figure out what we're trying to support, whether it's furthering education or rebuilding parts of hte city..." But not paying off the medical bills of his victims. That's something Adrien's going to do on his own.

"My only concern with doing something during the Fall is that you're going to run head long into Back to School, Foodbank, and the Fall Roll Outs. My schedule's going to get crazier than normal then. I think a midsummer something, to lead into Fall may work out better for us? Is there anything that happens in July here? I've heard there's a .big... birthday party of some kind?" Adrien asks, clearly a foreigner. And then clearly distracted as Marinette arrives, for the smile turns genuine in a heartbeat as he looks up at her. Though he does skim over her in that dress, it is her face and her eyes that holds his gaze.

"Please?" he adds to her, because the boy is just lighter with her around, and he can't quite fully pull his gaze from her as he answers Danny.

"Given what you know..?" Pause, blink, Adrien manages to look over at Danny. "Umm. Thank you. I.. I'm sorry that I don't seem to know as much about you, though I'm told some very good things. If Father didn't think highly of you, likely we wouldn't even me having these kinds of conversations."

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
Marinette smiles oh-so-sweetly ans genuinely at Danny. "Thank you for the invitation. That's very sweet but I'm just an amature designer. I fon't know anything about running a business and such. I really wouldn't be able to offer much amd would really hate to intrude."

And then Adrien asks and she pauses, clearly hesitating. She knows she doesn't really belong in a discussion like what is going on.

A moment more and shr nods her head, conceding after her gaze flicks between both. "Let me go get drinks and I'll return."

There's thst self consciousness Adrien was warned about.

Iron Fist has posed:
Danny blinks up at Marinette. "Oh, please, we're not discussing anything top secret here. You really should join." He glances to a nearby empty chair, then back up at her as she prepares to leave for more drinks. Whatever decision she ends up making, he turns back to address Adrien.

"Well, thanks for that. It's always nice to hear." he chuckles a little and says, "And, sure, I do my homework when it comes to people I work with. Learned that one the hard way."

Danny shifts slightly in his seat after a pause and says. "Honestly, as long as it's not next week, I don't mind the timeline. As for things happening, well, honestly we're /making/ something happening, so that's enough." He smiles and says, "There are a couple charities I have in mind, which I'll send over to you."

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
"Your ideas are amazing, Marinette! I'd love to hear what you think we should do for charity events," Adrien says. The adoration is a heavy thing in the air around him, and he'll stay looking at her until she either sits or goes back in for drinks.

"I'll be happy to look at them. I don't have any yet that I really want to do anything with. I just.. I haven't even started to look, so I'm not sure what's out there? I mean, I've heard of Foodbank and things. And Father sometimes sends me to charity galas. St. Jude's is a big one we've donated to in the past," Adrien says.

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
It doesn't take long dor Marinette to return with a glass of the gifted wine for each of the boys.

Quietly, she settles herself at the table and lightly places her hands in her lap. "Try picking a charity or event that in some way ties what you're trying to accomplish... The point behind the partnership..." It's a soft amd quiet suggestion. "Whatever you do, tie it all together. It pulls on the emotions more so the donations will be greater."

Iron Fist has posed:
Danny reaches for his glass, takes it, and sets it in front of him. "Please do, there's an urban education charity in Harlem I'm especially interested in helping." He glances over to Marinette and smiles.

"Exactly. That's what I'm hoping to get out of this night." He glances to Adrien. "To see exactly where our interests meet and what we might be able to accomplish from this."

And this is why Marinette is so loved! Taking a glass, Adrien sips before smiling at Marinette.

"Tell me what urban education is?" Adrien prompts with a smile.
