Cast of Characters: Ivory, Namorita

Ivory has posed:
A couple weeks ago, Ivory had had a popup store. And when they went for a little coffee snack, they somehow ended up talking to Mina Harker, who then pulled in Namorita as she grabbed a bite. And Namorita did ask them about their little label and suggested to come by to Oracle Inc some time later.

Fast Forward to now. The office door to Oracle inc opens, and in comes Ivory, a suitcase in tow, a messanger bag on their shoulder and once again dressed in a way that concealed pretty much what gender they chose today. Or, as a japanese would call it, she was dressed in what nowadays might count as jendaresu-kei, if they had opted to be male. In the 1920s they might have been considered moga, if they had opted to be female. But today? They had opted for the later, but nobody would call them out like that. The term would be too alien, too far back in time. Today, they were just dressed androgynously like always, wearing clothes of their own design, a big white persian cat on the back of their jeans jacket, embrodied in silvery shining yarn. "Hello. I had called some days ago. Ivory Valentine of White Persian Cat." they (or rather she) greets the counterclerk with a smile.

Namorita has posed:
Oracle Inc is a company whose primary purpose is to promote good, environmental stewardship. At least on the surface. Sponsored by Prince Namor of Atlantis, it's also an outlet for his vast fortune to help to counter mankind's irresponsibility. That's the unofficial version.

The young woman at the desk looks like 'Greenpeace-meets-Business-Casual', wearing big glasses, long braids and an Oracle, Inc polo. She offers a bright smile (neutral lip gloss instead of bright lipstick...) Looking up and spotting Ivory, she scans down a list and nods. "Oh yes, Ivory. Nita is expecting you. And we're pretty informal here, so go right on up. The elevator is to your left, and she's on the third floor."

Ivory has posed:
Ivory Valentine nods as she points to the elevator to confirm the direction. "That one? Thanks a lot!" she says, smiling as she moves to the elevator, pressing the call button and waiting for it to come, the suitcase in tow.

As the elevator comes, she slips in, pressing the 3, and soon she slips out on the third floor, looking around for the right office or meeting room...

Namorita has posed:
Oracle isn't a pretentious company, owned by royalty or not, and the third floor is simply a corridor in each direction with offices on either side. The first door on the left has a nameplate 'Nita Prentiss', and the door is open. Spotting Ivory looking around, Nita steps out to greet her guest. "Hello there, and welcome to Oracle." she offers. For her part Nita is dressed very casually in her typical two-piece green swimsuit. She's even barefoot, ankle wings waving lazily.

Ivory has posed:
With a smile, Ivory follows the invitation, offering their hand to her as she enters, giving the atlantean woman enough chance to guess or notice what gender she put on today. But she doesn't seem to be fazed at all about the ankle wings, quirking no eyebrow on them. "It's good to see you again. We were a little bit on short time the last time we met. As you spoke abotu a joint venture, I have brought my latest collection for a look and some sketches. I tried my best to guess your size, though I have to admit I might have failed on the shoes. My best guess is you wouldn't like to wear the Converse ankle boots because of them being a little tight." Yea, while not findign them stupid or anything (after having had a popup shop pretty much in mutant town for a week or so nothing that small is odd), just idly acknowledging them in a comment about her designs.

Namorita has posed:
Namorita's grip is firm and professional, making eye contact with Ivory throughout the handshake. Leading Ivory into the office, it's spacious enough for a small conference table just inside. The ceilings are probably fifteen feet, like the rest of the building, laid out on an open concept. Laughing softly, she nods and that long ponytail bobs. "Right. No ankle boots for me. Low-rise flats or even sandals tend to work well enough, however." Stopping at the table, she releases Ivory's hand and offers. "Can I get you anything? Coffee? Tea? Soda?"

Ivory has posed:
"Oh, I'm fine, but if you insist, let me quote something chinese: Even though one studies tea until old age, one can never learn all the names of types of teas." Ivory answers with a little chuckle, pulling that suitcase closer to the office table. "I could manage to make something fitting, but we're not here to talk your wardrobe but what we can put together for the better of both our buisinesses, right?"

Namorita has posed:
Namorita tilts her head and chuckles again. "Tea it is, then." she declares, giving a flight-assisted hop back to the doorway. Calling out, "Janice, please bring tea for my guest, and coffee for me." Another hop back to the table follows, the blonde nodding. "We can discuss fashion next time, Ivory." she agrees. "But let's see what you've got for this possible venture."

Ivory has posed:
With a nod and smile, Ivory puts the suitcase upon the table, opening it up to take out samples of her designs. Some are simple, like shirts with a print, pretty much highlighting the brand mascot, others are pullovers and shirts particularily cut in ways to make them wearable by either gender without putting emphasis on it. Unisex to the extreme. And then those converses, paintes on with some markers, in a design of Ivory's hands. "That's my current line pretty much, and I got some papers abut my supply chain... uh,... here." she says, picking the papers out and stacking them for Namorita to read. "I know, I could improve on that a lot."

Namorita has posed:
While the coffee and tea are being prepared, Nita looks over the designs with Ivory. She seems less inclined to read about the supply chain than to feel the fabric and hold up the shirts for a better look. "I like these." she declares after a few moments. "And don't sweat the details; this isn't a corporate presentation or anything." She holds up one of the high-tops next. Just because she can't wear them doesn't mean she doesn't appreciate them. "So where would you like to see things go next?"

Ivory has posed:
"Well, I try to grow my brand a little, but I have some capacity limits. I mean, I am a one-person-buisiness, I handle making and shipping and stuff, and it would be a huge weight off my shoulders if I could contract out the manufacturing and sales." Ivory ruffles through the clothes a moment, finding the one she thought about after a couple moments. A green shirt with a print. "That should be your size. Actually, everything here should fit you, I mean, I did have a chance to mage a rough guesstimate and it's better to allow somebody to try on the collection than just showcase it on the table. But I think that kitty-angel would suit you."

Namorita has posed:
Namorita's eyes brighten at that, and she holds up the offered t-shirt. "Everything, hmm?" she replies, looking over the print. "I never really thought of myself as a 'kitty-angel' sort of person, to be honest..." But she pulls the shirt on over her top all the same. Tugging it into place, she flips the long ponytail out as well. "You've got a good eye for sizes, Ivory, and I like your work." Stepping over to a mirror, she offers. "Tell you what. After tea and coffee, let's get you in touch with some of my detail-people. We can get you set up with manufacturing and sales contacts and maybe create something of an infrastructure. Then we can discuss environmentally-friendly themes and see what we can come up with. How does that sound?"

Ivory has posed:
Ivory chuckles at the comment. "Well, I don't have demons to offer, but the little mascot with wings does suit you rather nicely." She lets the CEO take her time before she nods slowly at the proposed way. "If you take over manufacturing and distribution, that's totally fine even. As long as I keep to design the brand. Let's leave the fine print to the lawyers, aye?"
