Cast of Characters: Beta Ray Bill, Grail

Beta Ray Bill has posed:
Knowhere. The severed head of an ancient creature popularly believed to have been known as Garnet. Currently, this stands as perhaps a bastion and save haven for criminals, bounty hunters, traders, and other folk who try and make their living off of exchange. Including information, which is what Beta Ray Bill has arrived for.

With Stormbreaker in hand, it seem sthe cosmos rumble at his very arrival. He lands at the docking port, the mighty warmaul suddenly being stamped on the ground. Golden-colored lightning seems to strike at him, and once the smoke clears? He looks to be a regular human with a cane in his hand. He wears regular clothes of someone who finds their residence and living here on Knowhere. But he walks towards his destination.

But one who has extra-sensory abilities, or who simply deigns to see through more than just what a basica appearance may believe, might be able to see Beta Ray Bill as a creature of power, not someone of such a meager beginning.

Grail has posed:
The sound of a boomtube always gets attention. Less attention as of late as it has happened a bit more often and only means that a simply scary being is arriving but not that Apolclypse is invading. She walks away from the tube as it closes and she simply adjusts the cloak she usually wears to around herself and starts off in a direction similar to Bill. She doesn't deign to care who or what he is. So, all she sees is that old man.

As she walks, she simply bumps him a little. She doesn't stop though, not really caring who she bumped as she walks in the direction of the pawn shop that it appears Bill is heading toward as well.

Beta Ray Bill has posed:
Boomtubes.

Why do all the powerful beings, namely New Gods, use boomtubes?! Bill never liked the idea. Any of them able to appear literally anywhere so long as they know where they are going. God forbid they get a motherbox or a fatherbox in their repetoir as well.

But when Grail bumps into the 'old man', well, she may notice that he's actually not old at all. He looks like a young man, about 25 or 30, somewhere in that range. But when she tries to bump into him? She may find that he is -extremely- sturdy for someone who is supposed to be just a human.

What is he? Not that she much cared. he seems to be heading for the same pawn shop, so Bill doesn't move for her, but he does look at her. "Excuse me works well enough, M'lady." Bill tells her in a straightforward fashion. Yet with the vocal discipline of a warrior.

Grail has posed:
A snort and she shakes her head as she continues to walk. Sure, there were tough people all over the universe. She has fought her share, beaten her share as well. He'll likely notice that she's not a lightweight either. Not that she was throwing her full strength into that bump. She was just walking. She continues though. Stepping into the pawn shop and looking around as she enters. It appears that he doesn't get a lot of attention at the moment.

Beta Ray Bill has posed:
She dares snort at him?! Does she think him a mockery of life or some sort? Its moments like these where Bill wishes he didn't transform into a lesser appearance, but sometimes it helped put others at ease. Namely, his informant. He wouldn't get what he wanted if she showed up looking like the walking superweapon that he is.

Despite that Grail seems to be looking around, Bill goes straight for the Clerk.

"Hello, what ya want?"

Bill speaks plainly. "Thunder rumbles across waking fields."

The cleark seems to widen his eyes just a little bit and seems to lower his voice. "Word has it that a rogue group of Ravagers are targetin' kids in the Nova Empire. Not any militarized planet, but colonies. I dunno for what for or why, but I figure it'd be up your alley."

"Thank you, Reggie." Bill says almost nobly, but Reggie also seems to be holding something back. "What is it, Reggie?"

"O-Oh, nothing Bill." Bill seems to strongly disbelieve him.

Grail has posed:
A growl escapes her as she looks at the objects in a case and hten hears some of the conversation near her. She's not got that Kryptonian hearing but Amazons aren't slouches for hearing either. She turns and walks over toward the clerk and the man. She stands directly behind Bill, crossing her arms as she looks over at the clerk and hten down at Bill.

She takes a slow breath and then lets it out. Patience was never her strong suit but he was there to talk to the clerk before she did.

Beta Ray Bill has posed:
Bill -feels- the imposing presence of Grail as she stands behind him. She was certainly visibly taller than this human version of him, but only by a solid foot or so. Enough to truly be noticeable. The Clerk starts to feel incredibly afraid as he backs up towards his items. "If you hurry and speak, she will likely spare your life." Bill advises, apparently not perturbed at all by the woman behind him.

He has slain far worse, or so he would think. Though the grip around his cane's head grows tighter.

Bill narrows his eyes.

"I-I I don't know any-" Bill's eyes flash with lightning and he stamps his cane down. He seems to almost burst with electricity at the strike of lightning. Good thing this shop didn't particularly have a ceiling. But standing in the place of the lowly looking human was a tall and muscle-bound WARRIOR with what looks to be a hammer-axe combination of a weapon in his hand. "My patience runs short!"

"Okay okay! I know the buyer. He's a wealhty man who lives on Nova prime! Thats all I know!" Bill growls. "If I must return, you will feel my wrath."

Bill then turns, in all his Asgardian-armored glory, cloak moving with him as he turns to look at Grail. A challenge in his eyes, but he knows not of her intention.

Grail has posed:
A blink and she leans back a little at the sight of the large horse like man. She tilts her head a little, that's something she hasn't seen before. She considers him and then states, "Familiar but what do you want?" She asks as she looks at him and crosses her arms, smirking, "Trying to seek a date? You're barking up the wrong tree if that is the case." SHe nods her head and then looks past him toward the clerk and then back at him, "Your business done with that guy?" She considers and nods her head.

She then considers, "Honestly, though, your business seems more intersting than mine." She nods her head.

Beta Ray Bill has posed:
"I currently seek no romantic entanglement with you." Beta Ray Bill says with authority to her as he turns completely to face her. "I merely wonder why you seem to be so impatient as to breathe down my nape when I am having a conversation." Bill grips Stormbreaker a little tighter, but he doesn't appear to have any notion of swinging it at her.

That being said, he seems to pass her by as he starts to take his leave.

"He is yours to converse with. I have what I need from him. Do me a favor an dleave him alive?" After all, if Bill doesn't find what he's looking for, he fully intends to go through with his word.

Grail has posed:
A smirk as she watches him move and then she reaches out to grab his arm and asks, "What's this about kidnapped kids?" She asks and looks at him with a tilt of her head, "I'm not a fan and I'm curious...what matter it is of yours?" She hmms and looks briefly at the clerk out of the corner of her eye. Her eyes glow bright red and then beams of energy come out, seeming to go right for Bill before they turn. Literaly turn at 90 degrees and fly right for the man. THey flick out again in two directions before slamming into the wall to his left and right.

"Don't move. I'll be with you in a minute." She grins befoer she turns her gaze back to Bill.

Beta Ray Bill has posed:
Bill doesn't seem to mind Grail's touch on his arm. It causes him to pause in his step and turn half-way to face her. Her question seems to surprise him, but he answers in a straightforward manner. "I am honor-bound by my King's command to fight the injustice that rages in our vast realm as I can manage. Normally, the activities of Ravagers would not concern me. However...I am aware enough about them to know that this goes against their own code. Above all...the families of the children cry out for justice. I have heard them. Whatever their intention, I believe it to be sinister in its core. I seek to destroy the operation with extreme prejudice."

Bill looks her in the eyes then.

"I ask you the same question: What concern is it of yours of the task I have set before me?"

Grail has posed:
A smirk and she shrugs, "I'm not a fan of people who take advantage of children." She nods her head, "Simple as that." She looks back at the man and then to Bill, "As such, I am inclined to make sure that no one does that." She shrugs, "It's a personal thing. Not really held to some king or anything." She chuckles and then looks at the clerk, "And what I'm here for is just an item I think might be helpful. However, it isn't as important, necessarily, as saving kids from being used by others."

Beta Ray Bill has posed:
"Then we are of a similar mind. Even if the core of our beliefs may differ, it seems I will have another at my side." Bill perhaps assumes that Grail will assist him, considering that she's vocally telling him that the clerk (and the information she finds valuable) isn't nearly as important as helping children.

"I won't ask your reasons, for I imagine they are personal." But then he starts to already walk out.

"Follow, if you wish."

Grail has posed:
A look back and she points at the clerk, "I will return. If you aren't here when I return...I will find you." Grail then shrugs and follows after Bill and nods her head, "Sure, why not. My other options at the moment don't seem to be panning out anyway." She considers, "This shouldn't really take long anyway." She chuckles and nods her head.
