"Hey, J-Bird. Wake up!" Jessica sighs as she opens her eyes, sitting up. "What is it, Anillo? It's so early..." Sorry, J-Bird. The Guardians are recalling you to Oa. You are to do extra training with Kilowog. Your training was never fully finished and you're needed.
Jessica sighs. "Couldn't you have waited till I got some pancakes and coffee? Oh wait, of course you couldn't. I get it." She grabs a suitcase and starts packing. She makes a phone call to Drake, telling him that she is leaving, and... she might be gone a long time. She gets everything ready, one suitcase of clothing, and the manuscript of the latest Fantastic Four book she's still working on.
She steps out of the house... the house that at one time served as her castle and prison combined. She smiles at one of the neighbors who she barely even recognizes. And... then she steps into the backyard. She looks over everything, not sure when she will return. Then she holds her ring to her Lantern.
"In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. For those who worship evil's might, beware my power... Green Lantern's Light!" With the Oath, she charges her ring, a green flare of light engulfing her in her costume. She then rockets up. Her course? Second star to the right, and straight on till morning.
