Komand'r was meant to be the princess, the QUEEN of Tamaran. But she became a little ill, a mere trifle and her little sister (the traitor Koriand'r!) took the opportunity to seize Koma's rightful birthright. Well, she showed that little gorthnog by reclaiming her throne and giving the Tamaranian people the monarch they deserved. Not only a princess, not even a queen. An EMPRESS! Secure in her position, she has gone looking for her little sister. Perhaps the girl has changed. If so, she can rule by Blackfire's side. If not... well, she can die for certain this time!

BLACKBOLTS

Like all Tamaranians, Blackfire can fire energy blasts, discs of energy or beams of energy from her eyes. Unlike normal members of her race, though, her 'blackbolts' are a neon lilac color. These blasts generally are used to maim, kill, or otherwise destroy but she CAN limit their power so that they merely cause pain, could stun a foe, or melt things like steel. They can also be used as concussive blasts.

DURABILITY

Blackfire's body is very resistant to physical harm, both versus energy and physical attacks. She is also immune to radiation and cold. She also does not tire quickly and can keep up frenetic activity for much longer than a human.

ENHANCED AGILITY

Combined with her flight, Blackfire's natural athleticism and Tamaranian physiology allows her to move like an impossible tiger, swifter than a human and much more deadly. She can dodge things like energy blasts and projectiles at anything but point blank range.

ENHANCED STRENGTH

Not as strong as her sister, Komand'r can lift about 20 tons or about 80 tons during times of severe duress.

FLIGHT

Blackfire can fly in an atmosphere at about five times the speed of sound, slower than her sister Starfire. She is extremely maneuverable, able to stop on a dime or do seemingly impossible stunts in the air. She can also fly in space, able to get to about .5c in time.

LANGUAGE ABSORPTION

Komand'r can learn any language known by a sentient being by simple skin-to-skin physical contact.

RULERSHIP

Blackfire had been raised as the future heir to the Tamaranian throne. As such she was prepared for all aspects of governance - diplomacy, economics, a smattering of the sciences, and many other things. If she has the temperment to use these things successfully is another question.

WAR!

Blackfire always enjoyed the instruction she was given as a princess of the Tamaranian royal family concerning physical combat and war. She had no time for tactics, but she very much enjoyed wargames and war exercises... especially when she could lead from the front. She is a brutal fighter, being incredibly strong and with a terrible vicious streak.

TAMARANIAN EMPIRE

In theory, Komand'r has complete command of all the resources of the now-expanding Tamaranian Empire including its armies and space navies. In practice she has little access to these things while she is on Earth.

Weaknesses

ALIEN

Komand'r is a Tamaranian and so Earth is very odd to her - the creatures, the environment, the beings and their cultures make little sense to Blackfire. It's often frustrating.

SUNLIGHT

Komand'r needs sunlight to make her go. Not only to power her blackbolts and her other abilities but simply yo survive. Really any star's light will do, but of course the stars in the sky are too far to do much but give her a craving for a sun's warmth and energy.

TEMPER

Komand'r has a terrible temper. She had a short fuse before but a couple of years of responsbility have made her even less patient. She is used to having every whim provided for and so telling her 'no' is likely to cause an angry outburst from her.

USURPER

Koma is an interstellar criminal, according to some. She sold her parents and family into slavery and took her planet's throne. Groups like the Green Lanterns may see her as someone who needs to be arrested or otherwise neutralized.
