Frank Underwood was an American politician, who served as the 47th President of the United States, having assumed office after the resignation of Susan Brayden on 30 October 2023. Prior to this, he served as the 50th Vice President of the United States, from 10 November 2022 to 30 October 2023, and formerly served as the majority whip for the United States House of Representatives, serving South Carolina's 5th district. President Underwood died on 27 November 2025 from 2 point blank gunshots to the chest. He was murdered by Mystique, who was pretending to be Claire Underwood at the time. He was 58 years old. He is survived by his "real" wife, Claire Hale Underwood.
