Description:

Daniel Ketch is of average height standing just over five foot ten inches. He has an athletic build, weighing 180 pounds. His piercing emerald eyes meet with yours as he gives a small smile. His auburn hair is of medium length, and has messy texture that gives it a stylish look. He has a strong jawline that has rugged appearance with his short stubble. Ketch is garbed in a black leather jacket, that has seen better days. He wears the jacket only half zipped up, his black t-shirt visible behind the jacket. His slim-fit, blue jeans are also showing their wear and tear. His feet are clad in black combat boots. A light layer of dirt and dust covers his outfit from being on the road.

History:

Danny had a normal and happy childhood. He lived with his sister, Barbara, under the care of a woman called Francis Ketch. As young child he befriends a young girl called Stacy Dolan. Later in life, when Danny was in his late teens, his whole world changed forever.

When taking a short cut with his sister, they stumbled upon a fight between two rival gangs and were caught in the crossfire. Barbara was shot during the fight, when she let out a scream in fear. Danny carried her away to nearby a junkyard, to protect her. In the junkyard, Danny found an abandoned motorcycle. With his sister?s blood on his fingers, when he touched the glowing gas cap, he was transformed into the Ghost Rider. As the Ghost Rider, Danny took Barbara to the hospital. Unfortunately, her wounds left her in a coma.

Afterwards, the Ghost Rider sought to exact vengeance on those who were responsible for his sister?s injuries. In his search for vengeance, Ketch encountered Blackout, a vampire-like being. Once his mission was complete, he vowed to his comatose sister that he would continue fighting crime. However, the anger that now burned within him, drove him to using the Penance Stare on some criminals. Upon realising the torment that he had caused, Ketch decided to swear of turning into the Ghost Rider. Going as far as to have a friend lock up his bike.

This however did not last forever. Before too long, Danny found himself using the powers of the Ghost Rider again. Eventually, Blackout, who wanted to exact revenge on the Ghost Rider after their encounter, learned of Danny?s secret identity. Shortly afterwards, Blackout found Barbara in hospital and murdered her. Traumatised by the murder of his sister, Danny lashed out at another villain who was on a killing spree.

Personality:

Daniel feels remorse for the actions he has taken as the Ghost Rider, and the consequences that has resulted from those actions. Danny has a short temper and is quick to anger. He also suffers from substance abuse. Specifically, Daniel Ketch battles with alcoholism. He relies on alcohol to distract himself from being the Ghost Rider and number the pain that he endures as a result of the transformation.

Demonic Transformation:
Daniel Ketch has the supernatural ability to transform into the being known as the Ghost Rider. He has the ability to transform at will. This transformation leaves him with a blue fiery skull, and grants him his other abilities.

Healing Factor:
Ghost Rider can still surfer injuries as a result of certain powers, like holy magic. Fortunately, Ketch has a regenerative healing ability. This healing ability is a direct result of the mystical energies of the Ghost Rider. This ability allows him to regenerate in a matter of seconds, even regrowing limbs.

Hellfire Control:
Through the Spirits of Vengeance, Ghost Riders can control the ethereal element known as hellfire. Danny, however, gets his powers from his ancestor Noble Kale. Kale had been turned into a Ghost Rider due to possessing a shard of the Medallion of Power, and with help of the angel Uriel. This connection to Uriel, gives Danny his blue flames. Danny can project his blue hellfire through his eyes, hands, mouth or his body. He is also able to channel the hellfire through his shotgun, form walls, and create a motorcycle.

Immortality:
The Spirits of Vengeance were created by God. Therefore, only God can destroy the Ghost Riders. Whilst magic and other supernatural means can severely injure a Ghost Rider, their immortality will stop them from being killed. Then it is just a matter of time before the healing factor heals Danny back to full health.

Mystical Chain:
Danny, as the Ghost Rider, can wield a mystical chain. This mystical chain is linked to Danny?s mental abilities. It can grow in length and is sharp enough to cut through almost anything. It also can transform into other weapons, such as a fiery whip or lasso, a spear, a bo staff, and a collection of shuriken. As with other items Danny can channel his hellfire through the chain.

Penance Stare:
Danny can use the ability known as Penance Stare. An ability that lets him cause any individual to feel pain and torment that they have caused. This is done through eye contact alone. It is for these reasons, that this is probably the Ghost Rider's most signature and most powerful ability. Dan can choose the intensity of the Penance Stare's power. This power level can range from killing the individual or causing never-ending nightmares. Though it only works on individuals with a soul, are sane, and who are guilty.

Sin Detection:
The Ghost Rider gives Daniel Ketch an empathic detection ability. This ability allows him to detect the sinners of the world from the righteous. The more impure a individual?s soul is, the easier it is for him to detect. This works whether he is in his demonic form or not.

Super Durability:
The Ghost Rider?s mystical energies gives Danny?s body high resistance to physical injury. He can withstand great impact forces, temperature and pressure extremes, powerful energy blasts, high calibre bullets, and falls from great heights.

Super Stamina:
As the Ghost Rider, Ketch has great stamina. The mystical energies within prevent his body from experiencing fatigue. As a result, Danny has limitless stamina all physical activities.

Super Strength:
The Ghost Rider has super strength. His strength allows him to lift ten tones in weight, send enemies flying with a single punch, and break through some barriers.

Supernatural Detection:

Danny Ketch has a supernatural sense that alerts him to presence of any supernatural being or entity. This ability will detect a demon, ghost or other entity regardless of whether that entity is good or evil. Coupled with his Sin Detection ability, he can sense whether the entity is evil or not.

Combat:
Daniel Ketch is a decent fighter, and rather pragmatic. Danny doesn?t concern himself with fancy fighting styles instead preferring brawling, street fighting, and even sometimes fighting dirty. He often uses a weapon regardless of the form he is in.

Motorcycles:
Ketch has been motorcycling for a very long time. He is even capable of performing maintenance work, modifying, and repairing motorcycles of a variety different models. His skill is at a professional level, though doesn?t possess the same level of skill as, Johnny Blaze, his brother.

Occult Lore:
Danny has been the Rider for a number of years now, since he was 19. His many fights against supernatural enemies have forced him to start to learn more of the occult sciences, to seperate fact from myth and make believe. Things that go bump in the night. He's no expert by any means. Constantine has a PHD in the subject, Ketch is a highschool senior.

Resourceful:

Danny is very resourceful. He is always on the road and is incapable keeping a regular job. Therefore, Danny has learnt to find resources, such as food and money, where he can. This is often done through conning the wealthy or completing odd jobs for those who offering.

Hell Cycle:
Like many Ghost Riders, Danny Ketch has access to a hell cycle. His hell cycle is powered by his control over hellfire, and it is this supernatural quality that allows the bike to break the natural laws of physics. The hell cycle can reach incredible speeds, travel up vertical surfaces, and cross bodies of water. Danny can control the hell cycle without riding it, and the bike will follow him. His hell cycle is solid black, with blue flaming wheels.

Medallion of Power:

Danny is in possession of a shard of The Medallion of Power. This ancient artefact was forged by immortals to contain the essences of the Wrath of God, a portion of Zarathos, a demon, is trapped inside too. The original medallion having been broken in two aeons ago thinking that it was now too powerful. It is one of the most sought-after artefacts, along with the other half. It augments the abilities of the Ghost Riders with the powers of previous Spirits of Vengeance. But joined with the other half, the Medallion can grant a wielder enough power to assault the gates of Heaven itself. The other half has ties with the Badilino family.

Magic:
The Spirits of Vengeance are supernatural entities. Therefore, they are susceptible to strong magic. A power magic user could possibly separate Danny Ketch from his Ghost Rider form. This would leave Danny as a mortal human without powers. However, a Spirit of Vengeance is a lot more dangerous without a host.

Mortal Body:
Whilst the Ghost Rider is immortal, Daniel Ketch?s human form is mortal. This means that all the powers that he has as the Ghost Rider are not available for use. In other words, Danny is vulnerable and very much killable. However, it takes almost no time for Danny to transform into the Ghost Rider. For this reason, if someone wanted to target him when he is human, it best to attack him without him knowing. Though this attack could be fatal or just incapacitate him.

Safety Lock:

As the Ghost Rider Danny gains powers granted by the Spirit of Vengeance within him. However, Danny acts as a safety lock for the true power of the Spirit of Vengeance. Without a host, the Spirit of Vengeance?s true power is uncontained and could cause massive chaos on the whole world.
