Gabrielle Kinney, aka Gabby, aka X23_4GAB is a clone 'sister' of Laura Kinney made by Alchemax Genetics from genetic material stolen from the Facility. She's one of ten clones that were made, and the only that resulted in being a mutant. It was a fact hidden by her and her sisters until they managed to escape from Alchemax shortly after Gabby's 14th birthday. While Gabby was trained to be an assassin and bodyguard like her sister clones, they protected her from the worst of the work they had to do having decided at least one of their number wouldn't be ruined by the lab. Unfortunately during their escape the lab was destroyed by the Facility framing the sisters for the deed. They split up to help avoid capture leaving Gabby to try and hunt down their 'family' for help.

Description:

Gabby wears her hair loose, except for a bright pink barrette on the left side keeping the black locks out of her green eyes. Neither of these are the first thing noticed on the girl though; its the scars on her face. A series of them run down her forehead and cheeks. The left side bears a scar from forehead to cheek over her eye. The right has a long gouge from cheekbone to jaw. There are a few more along her jaw at random angles. They're old, but hard to miss on her.

Her outfit is a bit mix and match. A black front-zip athletic wear jacket with a turtleneck is worn. It looks like something a runner might wear. The sleeves are long, covering to the middle of her hands. The length falls well past her hips to her thighs as if it were a size or two too large for her. Beneath it she wears a pair of bright yellow leggings. The left is decorated with two large X marks; one over the thigh, one just below her knee. The right side has horizontal black stripes down the length like a bee. These decorations look as if they may have been made by Gabby herself with the aid of some Sharpies. To finish off her comfy suit are a pair of purple and pink high-top sneakers with teal laces.

History:

Gabby is one of ten clones of Laura Kinney made by Alchemax Genetics, a division of Alchemax Labs. The genetic material that they obtained to create Gabby and her sisters was stolen from the Facility by Robert Chandler, who became head of the project at Alchemax. It was only after numerous attempts to duplicate the results that the Facility had achieved that he realized the sample he stole was defective in some way as none of the further clones proved to be mutant. All were human. Rather than let the attempts to go waste they were trained to be assassins and bodyguards for the higher ups in the labs, while at the same time being continually tested on to improve their less-than-ideal genetic results.

It was pure chance that out of all the failed attempts, Gabby actually inherited the mutant genes they had sought. It was her sisters and she that first made the realization and hid the fact from the Lab. It became obvious to them that they would need to escape to not only protect Gabby from further exploitation, but to survive, as one of the attempts to modify them was resulting in numerous deaths among their sisters.

Four of the sisters including Gabby stole what they could and made their escape. Much to their surprise, during their flight, the lab itself exploded. The Facility had learned of Chandler?s theft and slipped one of their own into the lab. When the sisters made their escape the operative made his move to destroy the genetics division information entirely. While this aided in their escape it also ensured that Alchemax would hunt them down for revenge. It was during this time that the Sisters split up to make it harder to track them down. Gabby was given one order: Find X-23 or Logan. Find the XMen. Stay alive.

Personality:

Mostly Innocent

For most of her life her older sisters protected her from the worst the world had to offer, which was a fair amount given her upbringing. She's not unfamiliar with the dangers of the world. With death, fighting, and killing. They ensured she never killed anyone herself though, and often requested she either turn around or leave the room when they were required to do so. It's a certain aspect of innocence she tries very hard to hold on to given their sacrifices.

Straight Forward

There's no beating around the bush with her. When she wants to know something she asks. When she wants to say something, she says it without hesitation. She says things as she sees them through her own not-quite rose colored eyes.

Creative

Being free of the labs for the first time in her life it has led her to finding new ways to enjoy her freedom. She expresses this through her clothes most notably, but her the random thoughts that spring to mind are also a good indicator of her creative imagination.

Family-Oriented

The labs and her sisters are all she's ever known. While her older sisters looked out for them, she looked up to them with adoration and respect. There's a part of her that feels out of place without someone to consider family. She wants to belong.

Protective

In spite of all her seeming innocence she is a trained assassin and bodyguard. Those she considers family she's highly protective of, but she may not make it outright obvious unless she has to.

Unique Worldview

Maybe it's her upbringing, or that lingering naivety that her protective sisters allowed her to maintain, but she sees the world in interesting ways. Often she's able to understand the most misguided of souls. This doesn't always mean she'll like them, but she can understand them.

Restrained Rage

Rage runs in her family for obvious reasons. She's had her own share of reasons to hate the world and those that have done her wrong. It's an ever present anger just below the surface that she manages to avoid letting come out fully as she doesn't want to become that person. However that doesn't stop her from occasionally being an angry teen.

Bone Claws:
Gabby posesses one thick bone claw on the back of her hands. They can retract as necessary hiding their very existance. The bone is bare and tapers at the tip creating a sharp point though it is thicker than the claws of her relatives. Likely due to only having the single claw.

Healing Factor:
Without the Adamantium to cloud her system, theres nothing to hinder her ability to heal numerous wounds quickly. She can even regrow missing limbs or fingers in an amount of time that is superior to her genetic donor.

Pain Insensitivity:
Gabby was infused with nanomachines that render her incapable of feeling pain. They were intended to heighten her ability to fight without stopping. While they do fulfill their purpose it makes it difficult for her to properly gauge how injured she actually is.

Physical Enhancements:
Thanks to her healing factor Gabby has several physical advantages. She's stronger and tougher than a girl of her size and build has any right to be. Operating just beyond the peak of Human capabilities when it comes to feats of strength and with her nanites & healing shrugging off blows that'd knock a normal person out. Her speed and reactions are exceptional allowing her to dodge some gunfire and making her more than a match for most baseline Humans even when outnumbered. Finally she's able to carry out feats of impossible seeming endurance. She can operate at peak efficiency for days without sleep and with limited food or water.

Superhuman Senses:

Gabby possess the same set of enhanced senses that her clone sister has although she's not received anything like the same level of training in their use. She can track people by scent, detect weapons & explosives, and in time she will be able to get a sense of someone's emotional state just from smell alone. With the right training she could even diagnose health conditions based on changes to a persons smell. Although this would require a lot of dedicated training and experience.

Her hearing is good enough she can hear sounds outside the Human range of hearing and can hear sounds from further away than is Humanly possible while her improved eyesight means she can see things further away and operate in low light conditions like it was the middle of the day.

Assassin Training:
Vital points. How much blood someone can lose before dying. How much pressure to crack a skull. How to kill quickly, efficiently, and quietly. Gabby knows these things. They were grilled into her along with the rest of her training. Her sisters ensured she never had to kill anyone, fearing it would ruin her childhood, but the knowledge is there. The training is there.

Covertops:
Having been trained for the primary purpose of being a bodyguard for diplomats and personel, the majority of her skill lies in urban environments. She can scout her surroundings, find the best paths to take, and cover her progress to avoid being followed. This was one skill her sisters didn't see the need to shelter her from as it could prove quite useful to survival and she became highly adept. Though the majority of her training was focused on populated areas, she does also have above rudimentary wilderness survival training in case of being stranded.

Marksmanship:
Her preferred weapon of choice is a pair of Mac-10 Machine Pistols which she carries with her. The proper care and usage of these weapons are included with her target training. There are numerous other firearms she can utilize as well if necessary, but these are her favored ones.

Martial Arts:
Gabby has been trained with Krav Maga and Systema due to their focus on dealing with real-life situations. These martial arts are based around multiple sources to find the most efficient method to deal with a situation. It's brutual and efficient, perfect for her original purpose. While there are easily fighters and martial artists better than her, Gabby is no pushover by far. She's been trained since she was created to be combat effective. Overall her skill level would be considered just beyond a first level black belt. She still has a lot to learn but she's also dangerous in her own right.

She's also trained in sword fighting. While this is not her stongest area, it does mean she can pick up a sword and know how to use it. Additionally it gives her insight on how to fight someone who is using a sword as well.

Sewing:

Oddly enough one of the things that Gabby is good at is sewing. It's a hobby she picked up. She'll often modify her attire as she sees fit to express her individuality. Hand sewing only.

Body Armor:
Gabby has custom fit military grade body armor and a mask which she often wears when out in the field. These were provided by the lab, and taken with her when she escaped. The best way to survive an injury is to avoid it all together.

Mac10 Pistols:

Her preferred weapons of choice. She often carries a pair of them slung over her back along with the ammunition necessary.

Identifying Scars:
As a means to tell the duplicate clones apart, Gabby and her sisters had their faces cut in various different ways by the people of the Lab. This was well before Gabby's healing emerged so the scars are permanent. It's an easily identifiable marker as to her identity.

Nanomachines:
The very same nanomachines that give her an insentivity to pain are also a drawback. Many of her other sisters have died due to them. Due to her healing factor they don't affect her in the same way, but being unable to feel pain makes it near difficult to gauge how injured she actually may be. This can prove rather dangerous if she's not careful.

Upbringing:

Gabby has had a very unconventional upbringing. The chances of her having a 'normal life' are practically non-existant in spite of her sisters attempts to ensure she was the least effected by the lab and training. Because of this, she doesn't always react to situations as one would expect, often making decisions that may seem rash or unplanned. She wants to be good. It's just a matter of learning how.
