Profile

Wally West was was part of an accident that gave him a connection to the speed force. Many experts have said "Lightning doesn't strike twice," but these people didn't know Wally's story. What created The Flash, created Kid Flash. The Scarlet Speedster took Wally under his wing well into his teens, but everyone had to leave the nest. Lately, he worked with a name called "The Streak." It hasn't worked for him. Now, he was going to give the name "Impulse" a spin.

Description:

Streak is a member of the Flash Family. Standing at 183 cm, with a lean swimmer's body, his crimson red suit is seemingly skin-tight to his body and made with a material to make sure there is no drag when running at top speeds.

Over his face is a crimson red mask that covers most of his head. However, the lower part of his face is shown, though a bit of his lower jaw-line and chin is covered for protection. Silver lightning bolt ear caps are found at the side of the mask where his ears would be, and the top part allows his red hair to move freely, with a bit of a wild cut look thanks to the speed he runs at.

The Flash emblem on his chest is silver in colour, with lightning bolts going around his arm right below his elbow leading into darker red gloves and the at his waist, leading into darker red legs, to once last time at the boot line, below the knee, which goes back to crimson red.

History

History:

Wally West was given his powers by a freak accident dealing with being in the wrong place, at the wrong time, but yet all managed to work out; somehow. He was a young teen when it all happened and was taken under the wing of Barry Allen, becoming known as Kid Flash.

During his time as Kid Flash, he learned how to control his speed, help the Flash kick some serious bad guys and started to fall in love for the photos and the people. This at times brought concern that he could be doing it more for the fame than actually for the right reasons, though he always seem to find means to rest everyone assured that he was in it to help people, not for his own exposure; It was just a bonus.

However, during one of the missions, things got a bit wild and for several months, Wally West was thought lost as he was thrown into the Speed Force. Eventually some time after, did he manage to break himself free and get back to the real world once more, fully unaware of how much time had passed till it was explained to him by others.

This exposure changed up his makeup to where he could draw even further on the speed force and at the start, he was almost a danger to himself as those around him, but refusing to give up and refusing to the possible dangers or what unknown effects could have happened while in the speed force for that time, Wally decided to remove the mantle as Kid Flash and strike out on his own.

From here on, he would call himself the Streak and took on his own crimson suit. While still willing to work with Barry Allen, Wally decided now in his adult years he was going to do things his way and he would prove to everyone what he can do, but also prove it to himself. He would become, one day, the Fastest Man Alive.

Personality:

Wally West is a passionate individual, but he is also very prideful and has a bit of a temper. While he cares deeply for those around him and wants to do the right thing, it is not beyond him to slip up and make mistakes. In many ways, he has much to still learn and though has pushed himself out from being just a sidekick to his own "man", there are many things he has no experience with and it will, probably, one day bite him in the rear.

He is quick to act and just as quick to react to a given situation. Seeming to just do things instead of thinking them out. Though that is far from the truth, as he goes over things at least five million times before a person can even finish their own singular thought. This also leads to Wally coming across as impatient and impulsive, since to the normal person he never just stays still for long periods of time.

It's actually hard for Wally to sit there and twiddle his thumbs really. The world to him moves in slow motion. Watching a person speak is like watching someone hit slow forward on a video. Where he probably knows the syllable they are going to make with their mouth before the sound even gets out. This also doesn't play well when it comes to working as a team, unless someone knows how to counter his rapid thoughts.

In turn, however, can also get him in trouble. As if someone can think ahead of him or trick his mind into believing one possibility, over the possible other, he will be quick to stumble when he realizes that he has been had. Then has to pull himself out of his own mistake, while acting like a cat that just stumbled. Trying to make it all seem like it was part of his plan, when it is far from the truth.

When he isn't being a super hero though, Wally is a playful trickster. He likes to have fun, dance, and even sing. He can be a kid in a candy store known as life and sometimes can go have himself a wild time, when he should be back at his Dorm studying for the next test. Why doesn't he? Because when you can read a 500 page book, absorb that information faster than the speed of sound... Who really needs to study?? Which means that, yes, for more times than not, he does sometime abuse his speed for his own agenda, but never to hurt anyone; At least not intentionally.

Abilities

Accelerated Healing:
Wally is able to generate far faster than a normal human. Bones mend in hours and cuts heal in seconds. This also means he never really gets sick and things like alcohol has no effect on him.

Electrokenesis:
Being able to channel The Speed Force comes with a few extra goodies. One is being able to harness the lightning. While it cannot be called at the drop of a dime, but he can with the right circumstances. A fair amount of speed is needed just to make the lightning conductive enough then Wally only gets one chance to throw it. Also, the bolt is more of an area of effect instead of a straight bolt that can hit one targer (or a row of them).

Enhanced Mind:
Wally's mind perceives the world at rapid speeds, thinking faster than anyone can truly perceive and because of this, is able to retain information around him just as quickly. He can read a 500 page book before some can blink an eye.

Enhanced Stamina:
Wally doesn't tire easily and its really hard for him to get worn out. This is because his body is use to the stamina drain it takes to run at high speeds and keep those speeds up for long periods of time.

Molecule Vibration:
Wally is able to sense an objects molecules and is able to excite the molecules by vibrating them at the right frequency. While in practice this should allow him to phase through an object, his lack of patience keeps him from doing this, but it does help knock a door off its hinges or shatter someone's firearm.

Rapid Reflexes:
Wally is able to perceive the world in slow motion and this allows him to react to situations far faster than a normal human. He can make out a bullet coming his direction and move before it even gets to him. This, in theory, makes him very hard to catch off guard as well.

Speed Aura:
Wally is able to generate a type of speed field around himself. This allows him to travel at speeds he does without crushing his body or tearing away his own cloths. This also protects him from heavy kinetic forces, making him seem far more durable than a normal human. While carrying someone or something, they also share this protection, so long as they remain in contact with him. Though he can also use this aura as a means of a weapon as well, by slamming the entire kinetic energy into his fist for a devastating punch or kick.

Speed Force Conduit:
Wally West has a connection with the Speed Force and while not able to currently tap into all of its abilities or its full potential of power, this do tend to come to him naturally over time and sometimes by accidental. How strong of a connection he has however, is undetermined and because of his several months of solid exposure, some fear that it may be having hidden negative effects on him physically--- and mentally. Though this could also be just paranoia speaking as well, as he has never felt better.

Super Speed:

Wally can race up speeds far beyond the speed of sound and can dance dangerously close to the speed of light if he really pushes himself. There is a strong possibility, if the circumstances really called it and Speed Force willing, he could not only travel through time, but maybe even break dimensional barriers between Earths.

Budding Scientist:
Engerineering is Wally's passion, because who doesn't like tearing things apart? To stay in the Superhero-game, Wally has learned a lot about different sciences from Chemistry, Biology, Physics and some of their more specialized skills such as a basic understand of Blood Splatter Analyst and Forensic Sciences.

Engineering:
Wally has been taking classes in Engineering and technical understanding. Its one part cause of his own curiosity, two parts cause he loves putting things together, and finally its a useful skill to have as Speedster; Well in general. Given his ability to read quickly, perceive things at rapid speed, and get things down quickly. He uses not only this knowledge to help others but also as a Super Hero for disarming dangerous weapons or even bypassing security locks.

Polygot:
Being able to retain information more quickly, and sufficiently, thanks to the speed-force comes with advantages. Seeing that the Speed-Force can take a speedster to any place, Wally learned any Earthling language he could find books on. Even American Sign is under his belt.

Street Fighting:

While Wally doesn't know any form of martial arts or boxing, he does know how to fight and sometimes even fight a little dirty. When he been facing off with villains since you been a young teen, you learn a few things and you learn how to stand on your own with not only what is around you, but your body as well.

Flash Ring:
While he doesn't openly display the ring, Wally has a ring that shoots his costume out when opened. Since speedsters can move extremely fast they can fold their uniforms up to the smallest portions.

Private Dorm:
Wally West has his own private dorm on campus. It is on the ground floor and has a back window. This is useful given sometimes he has to slip out and can get back in without anyone even knowing he is gone. He also installed a secret floor panel, just encase anyone somehow does slip in.

The Suit:

The Steak's suit is made of a material that is resistant to friction and helps with the aerodynamic flow. While fairly skin tight, it has some armor plating along different parts of the body to help protect weak points encase of heavy impact. It also has a built in radio to communicate with teammates and can be compressed to fit inside of jean's pocket or inside of a jacket.

Barry's Shadow:
There are times Barry casts a big shadow. It doesn't matter if Wally is faster, or not, Barry has big shoes to fill. This means matching them will sometimes be twice as hard for Wally. Some people in the world will view Wally as inferior thanks to having a name like "Kid-Flash" and being seen as "just a sidekick" because there hasn't been a falling out between Wally and Barry yet. The advantage of a falling out is sometimes it forces the world to look at someone in a new light. That hasn't happened for Wally and the world will remind him from time to time.

Other moments, Wally imposes this self-doubt on himself because Barry makes it look easy. In some ways Barry will be seen as Godly to Wally because of idolworship. Barry is Wally's idol. Rather than being seen as equals, which they are usually, Wally sees himself as inferior. This can cause self-doubt or complications in certain scenes.

Rapid Metabolism:
Wally has a rapid metabolism. It means that medical drugs do him no favours, nor any other form of pain medication. Things that could be biologically bad, like poison, move through his system far faster than on a normal person, and could lead to high risk of sickness or even death. He's under the mistaken belief that his body is constantly burning energy, and in order to keep up with what his body "needs", he has to consume large quantities of food. The mind is a curious thing. What it believes, can become reality.

Secret Identity:
The Streak is his secret identity and one he tries to keep that way. He worries that if anyone ever figures out who he is, beyond his very tight circular of super friends and family, someone could get hurt. After all, being a Hero means you make enemies with some really nasty people. This means settling down is hard for him to do and while he may flirt, he is very unsure if he'll ever have a normal life.

Speed Force:
Wally West was trapped in the Speed for several months. How this impacted him is still unknown, and while he is not really concerned about it. Those wise enough knows that the Speed Force is an unknown power in the cosmos, could one day affect him in ways no one will ever be able to explain; even possibly kill him.

World Perception:

Wally perceives the world differently from a normal person. In many ways it's a curse as much as a blessing. To see the world on his perception, one has to think of playing a movie at a very slow rate of speed and then watch how everything moves in slow motion. For Wally, this is his everyday life and in many ways is the cause of his impatience, agitation, and even spontaneous behaviour. There are even days he wishes he could just be normal and not view the world at such a slow pace.
