After the adrenaline had worn off, everything hurt. Nemean collapsed onto the couch in his safehouse. He was tired, and confused. He hadn't even bothered to take off his gear. Even Shredder didn't know about this safe house, it was one he had before he got transformed.
His mind was swimming, everything that had happened between him and the leader of the turtles. Leonardo had apologized. He had taken responsibility for what happened to Nemean, even though he had told him it hadn't gone down the way he thought.
Trying to dig into those memories again, he was met by a sharp pain. A splitting headache. Kitsune had told him the memory loss was due to the mutation, but now he wasn't so sure. Alopex and Leonardo could have gotten their stories straight, of course. Could have figured out a story to tell him, but why? And why would neither of them fight him with their full power when he was trying to kill them?
He began to have thoughts that he was being manipulated. The only clear memories were way too specific. Kitsune had been lying to him. And by extension, so had Shredder. He never liked being used before, but now, if it was true. He knew he couldn't just lash out at them, he would need to play this carefully.
He would lay low for a few days, and let things simmer, and try to think. Try to find a way to get into those memories without it hurting. Or maybe he would focus on it regardless of the pain and get to them. He would know the truth, one way or another.
