Description:

The very image of an American corn fed farm boy, Zeke is tall and broad with noticeable muscles. His hair is blonde and cut short, almost a crew cut, and his blue eyes shine clearly. His face is symmetrical and he's got a strong jaw and a thick neck with a slightly crooked nose.

Of course, once you look at the fellow's clothes that farm boy charm doesn't carry over. His attire is ragged and worn. The coat he's wearing is an old military surplus field jacket in the Army's retired and nearly useless Universal Camouflage Pattern, a series of grays and light greens. It looks warm, however, and that's what counts. His trousers are some beat up brown corduroys and his shoes are fraying blue sneakers.

History

History:

Born into a fundamentalist religious family, Ezekiel Lincoln was raised on a family compound in upstate New York with his eleven siblings. His upbringing was more than a little strange, with day long church services on Sundays, no television or internet and the only literature allowed being religious texts. He was even homeschooled.

When not in school he worked the family farm, fought and played with the other kids and fished or hunted. Part of the Lincoln family's identity was their ability to be self sufficient and so all the male children were taught to fend for their family from a young age.

Zeke's only friends were his brothers and sisters, his cousins and kids he knew only from his online homeschool group. So insular was his upbringing that he was barely aware that mutants were a thing, except that his church group taught him to hate them. Which made it extremely awkward when, at age sixteen, he was the only survivor of a car accident that claimed his mother and three of his siblings. Not only did he survive, he was completely unscathed.

When a nurse at the hospital tried to stick him with a needle it bent. As did the next couple. Doctors were called in to examine Zeke only to determine that his skin seemed unbreakable. Zeke was definitely a mutant. He began to cry, wondering what he did to piss God off so bad. A chaplain was called in to speak to him, reassuring him that it was all part of God's plan, but Zeke had been so brainwashed by his church and family that he was irreconcilable. When Zeke's dad arrived the man immediately disowned his child to his face and said he would pray for a swift death for the sinner.

Zeke fled the hospital, heartbroken and alone. For days he traveled by himself, eating out of dumpsters and trying to hitch rides. When the cops tried to pick him up he ran away, moving faster than their car over short distances, until he found a place to hide. Eventually he hitched a ride into New York City and headed for Bushwick. Mutant Town.

Personality

Personality:

Zeke's quite mild mannered. He's socially awkward and doesn't know how to relate well with most people outside of formalized gatherings. That being said, he's caring and kind to everyone but himself. He sees himself as a monster and sinner, and hates who he is. Much of this is due to his survivor's guilt but a degree comes from an upbringing that said mutants are literally incarnations of evil.

Zeke is quite full of angst and wishes for a place to fit in and be part of a family again.

Abilities

Indestructible:
Zeke is roughly as hard to damage as tungsten carbide. Special metals or specific tools are required to break his skin. He is also incredibly resistant to blunt damage. It takes slightly more force than a speeding truck could muster to seriously hurt him.

Running:
Thanks to his super strength Zeke can run up to forty five miles per hour. He does not possess superhuman stamina, however, and will tire quickly if he attempts to maintain this pace.

Super Strength:

Zeke is capable of lifting and throwing twenty tons. As a result he can also leap incredibly far, approximately 100 yards horizontally or half of that vertically, with a high degree of accuracy. He can jump up to a mile away if he doesn't need to be anywhere other than that general direction.

Skills

Driving:
Having grown up with a working farm on his family's compound, Zeke can drive anything from ATVs to trucks and farm equipment.

Farming:
Zeke's experienced in modern agricultural techniques that both use and don't use modern equipment. He'd be able to set up a farm to sustain people on just an acre or two of land.

Handyman:
Part of growing up in the Lincoln compound is learning how to perform basic repairs on everything from fences to generators. If Zeke can't fix it he knows how to find out how to do it himself. Without using the internet, even.

Religion:
Zeke is intimately familiar with Christian scripture with a focus on the Bible's New Testament. He is, however, quite ignorant of other religions.

Survivalism:

Trained to live off the land by his family, Zeke's a capable survivalist, hunter and fisherman. In a temperate climate he could keep himself alive without other humans for a long period of time. Additionally, he's a fairly skilled marksman with a rifle or shotgun.

Weaknesses

Homeless:
Zeke is underage, has no place to live and has no income.

Ignorance:
Zeke has never owned a cell phone or television. His only experience on the computer was working on school assignments and attending homeschool classes over the internet. He's almost completely ignorant of pop culture and won't get references to movies, TV or lots of literature. He's also extremely ignorant of religions other than Christianity since his family feared learning about them might breed sin.

Indestructible:
Should he require a needle for any medical reasons he'll be impossible to administer too as his impenetrable skin is too hard. Surgeries would require special metals or tools to be effective and even broken bones would require industrial equipment or super strength to set properly.

Negatively Buoyant:
Zeke's just a little too dense to float. Don't let him near deep water because he will sink without some type of flotation device.

Self Hatred:
Having been raised to hate mutants Zeke truly wonders if he's actually a monster born of sin. It's something that frequently comes to the forefront of his mind. He thinks that he's no good for anything or anyone and worries that his mere presence will lead others down the path of sin.

Survivor's Guilt:

Having survived the deaths of multiple family members in an automobile wreck, Zeke suffers from terrible survivor's guilt and remorse. He knows that logically he wasn't the cause of the collision, but his heart won't let him believe it.
