| Synopsis: | Lucifer and Sinister go and destroy a HYDRA submarine. Prisoners are saved. The bad doctor dies. |
| Cast of Characters: | Lucifer, Sinister, Phantasm (Drago)
|
- Lucifer has posed:
It took some time. Little of this. Dash of that. Locator spells can be easy and difficult - it really depends on what you're searching for. Submarines are easy to find, specific submarines can be harder. The Devil is determined, however, and while the Devil could do Devil-ish things - he also has a Nathaniel to consider. Course they can both breathe underwater but he's pretty sure Nathaniel would have to come up for air a time or two.
So they'll go out by boat to the approximite location of where the submarine is. Lucifer grinning the Devil's Grin as they make their way. Oh he's going to have some fun with this. That's for sure. Of course he'll wait (forcibly) because Nathaniel has some tasks to perform as well but if the submarine tries to put up a fight, Lucifer's gonna pack a hell of a wollop back!
- Sinister has posed:
No, there would be no need to come up for air. He could if he chose to, remain indefinitely on the bottom of the ocean, contemplating the inexorable dark. But that's not the point of that musing is it?
There is planning, involving having a cargo bag full of gear. "So. I have explosives. I have depth charges and I have a plan. I honestly don't care much what you do to the crew my love, as long as I can get to their computers and place my containments on the imprisoned individuals. I take mild offense at the audacity of them to chain the tiger." Sinister, all in black, keeps a scanning eye on the various different spectrums that he can actually see in, to scan the surface of the sea. Even at depth, there is wisdom in being able to borrow the power of Banshee, or Siren to echolocate. They are, it seems, contained in a little ray gun gadget.
- Lucifer has posed:
"I shall leave the imprisoned and the computers to you. Just play a bit of a distraction while you do your thing and once you're all done, I'll draw them in for the ending they deserve." Lucifer offers this with a grin to his beloved. "Unless you want to keep one or two of them for interrogating." That much more offered as he glances over the vast sea. Water on every side of them and not a speck of land in any near distance.
"I wonder how SHIELD would take to our meddling in the affairs of their enemy. Taking out a piece of the puzzle all together. Not that I truly care, but it is a curiosity." Then the boat is slowed until it stops as they are within the vicinity of where Lucifer's tracking spell has led them. Now it's up for the gadgets to do the rest of the work.
- Sinister has posed:
And work is what they do. Pointing the ray gun down toward the water, Sinister narrows his eyes to slits as he listens... intently... to the sound of water. Yes, that is a thing, the waves lapping make a different wave form than hard metal objects down in the depths.
"There's going to be a few whales that don't like me much. Oh, the shame of it." He murmurs that, fires the gun again and listens.
"Three fathoms down, cruising. I would say that it's going about forty knots. We may need to make like torpedos. Did you plan for that, or am I becoming an interesting jet propulsion device?"
The sky seems... ominous. There's a storm brewing.
"I imagine SHIELD would take issue though. They don't like any kind of interference that isn't on their books, but they -do- work with the avengers. So. Clearly they can handle monstrous egos." He grins.
- Lucifer has posed:
"The whales will get over it..." Lucifer comments off-handedly before looking over the water once more. "I never plan for anything, but if a storm is brewing we'll need a way to protect the ship." Saying this even as he deterimines a way to anchor it that will hopefully not let on to anyone or anything that something lurks nearby.
"I'm pretty sure as long as I can see it, I can get into it easily enough so boarding the sub won't be an issue. Triggering their security might be... but sometimes needs must. It is a glorious day to cause some mayhem..."
- Sinister has posed:
"It is..." But there might be his answer. Zipping up the bag after he returns the ray gun to a holster at his hip, along with a grapnel. With a lean in, there's a fierce kiss placed smack on the lips, before Sinister takes the devil by the waist and dives neatly overboard. By the time he hits the water, they're propelling forward into the dark, a shield of red energy around them both and catapulted forward by the power of telekinesis -- that red glow may also just be enough to see by.
The grapnel in hand, the shadows of the deep ocean swallow them whole, save for that dim red glow -- and the prospect of the running lights of a cloaked submarine that defies radar.
The grapnel? It's fired at the hull of the ship, where a round 'mine' attaches, blue and gold light blinking. Hydrophilial energy device, gluding the ship the surface of the ocean. It just might... drift a bit.
- Lucifer has posed:
Lucifer takes a moment to let Nathaniel do his thing, and then he shifts to try and see something like a porthole that will let him peek inside. There's a slight grin when he finds one and then he motions for Nathaniel to come towards him. Or maybe he'll just grab the man and pull him close once he thinks Nathaniel's done.
Being able to see inside means Lucifer is able to pop them from the ocean depths, into whichever room the porthole is from.
A crew member's room? The galley? A work out room? Who knows!
- Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
The mine wssshes through the water, likely defying the radar. But as for the sonar-
Hmm must be a fish.
That is until it thunks to the side of the submerged submersible.
If there's any sign of it being noticed , it has not presented itself at the moment.
As for Lucifer's finding of something to look through, well. The devil's luck did not apply here. While older ones may have had them. Modern military generally forgo the addition of portholes for structural integrity.
But there are other ways to see inside. Well, at least in certain areas. If someone's wanting an easy mental look, the mess hall seems quite active. But towards the lower levels and some points in the upper levels, there's... a bit of a blank space. Simply nothingness.
- Sinister has posed:
Frustration can likely be felt when there's a devil in the mix of things. A lack of a convenient window does indeed bring about a floating english villain in the pitch of darkness, squeezing the devil's arm. No words of course, because the two of them are under water, but he closes his eyes and reaches.
Mind to mind, until he finds someone that is very big on the details when they look at their surroundings. That one will mark the distance between themselves and the next mess table, will catalogue their crewmates. Will perhaps even count how many cups are still on the table and that... all of that is enough to create a mental illusion and therefore... an aim.
It is going to be very messy shortly, but Sinister barely cares.
- Lucifer has posed:
Yes. He's frustrated. Having thought that most vessels still had at least SOME portholes to let crew be able to see out of them every once in a while. None the less, Sinister is on it. Giving him a mental image of the mess hall, the people, the tables, down to what is on those tables. Lucifer side-eyes Nathaniel and gives him a nod of thanks.
Then there's the old one-two and suddenly, they are within the mess hall. He can't control how wet they are when they arrive, but that's the least of his worries at the moment. As if he's worried at all.
"Oh. We joined right during dinner time... that's good... at least we now know they have all had their last meals. It will make this so much easier on the mind." Then he holds up a hand. "Before you draw and fire and cause so much mayhem. We cannot die. Not by bullets. Not by knives or daggers or swords.. though it may slow us down a tiny bit. The best thing you all can do is finish your meals. We'll wait."
- Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Mind seeking mind, there are a few that end up painting a reasonable picture.
As with most areas within a submarine, the kitchen is pretty condensed. With one wall of it partially opened up to allow for a quick positioning of large trays of food onto a buffet area without there being need to set foot out of the kitchen. A large, mostly tray is pulled out with tongs and slid to the side before the person uses mitts to slide in a fresh tray of mashed potatoes into the vacated place.
This task would go faster except MD2 is having to go feed void. "Hurry back." The man switching out potatoes glances, looking over to a strangely familiar looking man in his early 30s. With pale blue eyes, a short brown hair style, a slightly developed physique, and loading up a cart.
A glimps switches back to the one scooping potatoes, getting a similar view only with that one wearing a hair net. MD1 has been getting a bit testy lately. Probably because 3 is enjoying his island time.
Peaceful. Quiet.
There's a blink before the potato scooper is looked away from and the cart is wheeled out. There's a glimpse to a full mess hall of darkly clad uniformed types. Some suits, and the occasional dress shirt and bow-tied bespectacled smarty-pants. The latter is few and far between, but as the cart is wheeled to and placed into a vertical cargo elevator. With a few button presses, the door closes and the cart vanishes from view. MD2 moves to a nearby ladder, proceeding to climb upwards. Hmm... when can HE get to go to the island?
As MD2 finds himself on another level, he ends up missing out on the the entrance of the duo. And after his cart is retrieved and carted a certain way... The feedback from him vanishes as he enters the area of no trace.
MD1 on the other hand, as he's scooping potatoes gets a glimpse of the wet intruders as he glances from his kitchen area. The spoon slows to a stop as he tilts his head curiously. What in the...?
As Lucifer pretty much implies there's probably reason for concern, the kitchen worker puts one last scoop of the old tray onto the new tray before using the mitts to move the tray away from the buffet.
Imminent threat. Lockdown's likely. Moving deeper into the kitchen, MD1 starts shutting off appliances that could prove to be problematic should they remain on.
Power down.
Return to quarters.
Sleep.
As for in the actual dining area, it appears that Lucifer's words do have some effect. Thirty one of those in there remain seated. Fourteen of them, jump up, hands already drawing their weapons. As for the remainder.
Return to quarters.
Power down.
Sleep.
- Sinister has posed:
Well, there's a thing. Look at all the jolly sailors in their mess hall, watching the speech. Look at the reactions that are hardly any of them strictly human. Maybe shock can account for a fair amount, but Sinister? He looks the way the one just 'vanished' into nothingness and frowns, gesturing to Lucifer and the mess hall. "Have at it..." he murmurs, placing a shield at one end of the hall to prevent people simply running away or reinforcements getting in. Because in no way is he a nice man.
And he patiently walks, his steps a glide like a cat on the hunt, toward the upward stairs, to peer up into the narrowed tunnel, water slicking down his cheeks and the wet suit he wears.
Head tilts. He reaches up with his mind, yanks down with his ability, a kinetic 'where do you think you're going?' mostly because he wants a nice, good look at MD2.
"What is up there?" a mild voice asking when he has the individual... at hand.
- Lucifer has posed:
The appliances that MD1 turns off begin to turn on from behind him one at a time. Lucifer glances around to the dozen or so that have stood up, weapons drawn, and then he just shakes his head. "No no no. Sit down. Eat. Enjoy. Because this will be your last meal." Or they can try and take a shot. Sinister is dealing with one of the others that is away and likely not sure what's going on. At least not yet.
The Devil paces a little, forward a bit, looking to those who remain seated. Drinking in the fear or confusion or ... whatever may be coursing through their minds and veins at this moment. He goes to the third table on the left counting back from the food line. Shifts six steps in. Sits down across from the one seated in front. A tilt of his head. A chance of gaining their direct vision.
"Tell me. What's your deepest, darkest desire?"
- Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
As the wall goes up, those attempting to depart end up walking into the shield. Like a bunch of concert goers waiting to be let into the venue, there's a general pressing as it's very clear what they are to do.
Go to quarters.
Power down.
Sleep.
Pressure building...
The ones seated seem a bit tenser than the ones pressing against the wall.
As Sinister peers down the tunnel there is the glimpse of the backside of MD2, crouched down to retrieve a dish from one of the lower shelves. As the man stands up to turn towards a door, Sin's telekinetic fishing line ends up yanking MD2 headfirst down the hallway to the ladder.
Halfway over, the quiet of the mind is no more.
It's not his fault! No chair! Please! No table! NO! He's serving the food!
As the familiar face pitches down the gap where the ladder leads down, it is up to Sinister on just how bad the landing is. But it doesn't take a mind reader to know having your head hit every ladder step on the way down is NOT a good thing.
Stars...Whirl...Black spot... Dizzy...Spilled void's dinner. He'll be hungry. Hope the morning group feeds him.
Bleary pale eyes look to the wobbly drippy man. There's a blink as he takes in the question. "Void." MD2 answers.
As MD1 finishes his round, he takes note of the first piece of equipment he had turned off, finding it on.
Power down.
Return to quarters.
Sleep.
Looks like he's still on the first step.
Second verse, same as the first.
Of the fourteen that have weapons drawn, six of them decide to still try their luck. pulling their respective triggers to try and shoot Lucifer. As the bullets don't appear to have much effect on Lucifer, two of those lower their weapons while the remaining four TRY AGAIN. And AGAIN. With third time proving not to be the charm, the firing slows to a stop. Pressurized tin can vehicle and all.
As Lucifer determines who might be the most nervous of the group and sits before them, the elder looking bespectacled man looks back, brows lifting. It's a simple question. One that some might avoid answering but as the man's glance is caught by Lucifer, it becomes much easier to respond. "Control- Power."
- Sinister has posed:
"Void," Sin tilts his head a little at that, looking back at the gunfire momentarily. They're at stage one, the brainwashed bunch, the others trying the definition of insanity. He clucks his tongue, looks to MD2 and flings him hard enough against the wall to knock him the hell out. Another gesture has his particular area of the hallway cleared of consciousness. Let the Devil play.
The wall is reached, intelligence and technical knowhow, along with military contracts tell him what is what in a submarine, even if the thing has been modified considerably. There are bulkheads. You can compromise them with certain explosives placed in certain ways.
This begins. Corrosive magnetic plates about the size of a credit card -- placed where they begin to react and eat the metal. He moves on. He moves up.
There's records to find, a Void to release. And chaos to rain.
- Lucifer has posed:
Bullets do still 'hit' Lucifer, so they dissapear into the flesh. But just that. They look like they hit and then nothing happens further. No screams of pain, no splattering of blood. One gets him pretty good in the side causing him to wince and then look down before back up. But yeah, nothing hurts.
And the Devil is focused.
Now before the elderly man wearing glasses, the Devil tilts his head just so when the answer comes. "Control. Power. Over what? Or perhaps whom? I do better with specifics so if you could give me... names? Places? That would be lovely."
Oh, and those who tried to shoot him? All of them will quickly lose control of their guns, their guns which turn on them in mid-air so they stare down the barrel of what might have been a REALLY BAD IDEA.
- Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
THWACK! MD2 collapses against the wall, seeming a bit worse for wear but at least getting in what is probably a long needed nap.
As the guns fly out of the hands of the shooters and they're left to look to the business ends. There's the general lifting of hands to show the first display of competency since Lucifer's arrival, surrendering.
The bespectacled man pauses to the additional question. "If you control the people. You control everything..." There's a momentary glance towards another one who looks suspiciously like the unconscious figure near the ladder. A glance moves over to those trying to get through the barrier. "Oh for- SIT DOWN AND EAT!"
The press against the barrier lightens up as the group starts filtering back towards their seats.
- Sinister has posed:
Meanwhile, the Doctor goes about his quiet, but patient sabotaging of the submarine. Floating up the ladder shaft so that he makes no sound, as he nears the 'void' area, is when he sets limb to rung. When one can nullify a power oneself, one knows that code names and suspiciously blank areas of ships can be a signifier. He looks along the corridors of the next level, reaches to the minds below to 'read' where he's going and begins to head to research labs. Hard copy things -- they will be there.
He can move rather quietly when he wants to. Slap! Another credit card corrosion at a critical bulk pipe.
The camera follows mostly at his waist height as he reaches the end of one corridor, looks left, right, then disappears from the audience' view...
He is not a man distracted by the by. Encounters with people involve them being flung against walls, or suffocated to unconsciousness. Or punched. Information and eventually, that 'prison' level down the bottom.
- Lucifer has posed:
Lucifer raises one brow as he continues to watch the man before him. "So what part of all this are you in on? And do know that the answer to these questions are going to determine whether you live or die once we're through..." We being himself and Sinister of course. The Devil doesn't move his gaze off the man in front of him, though his brows furrow when the man is able to yell out commands to the others.
Perhaps he doesn't have as strong a hold as he thought.
"LOOK AT ME!" It comes as a voice from beyond, hallow and graveled, with an air of POWER.
The guns begin to nod up and down, then down more, like telling the people looking at the business end to sit. He can't really tell them to also eat, but the ones who sit will find their guns moving away. A small pile at Lucifer's side the more that comply.
- Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
As Sinister floats up to head towards the void area, he finds that he can continue floating. Hell he can continue to do most everything he could before. But, as he crosses a certain point, there's a sudden sense of nothingness when it comes to things telepathic. It is almost, peaceful. Quite possibly a relieving feeling for someone who was much newer to telepathic abilities. But Sinister is not newer to the ability, is he?
The cart MD2 was at rests askew near a locked door. Near it appears to be an access key panel for a card to be held to.
Having already surrendered, it doesn't take too long to get the gunmen to sit back down.
The thundering voice from Lucifer draws the man's gaze back to Lucifer, pulling his focus back upon the eyes. Along with those seated near him as that was QUITE a demand.
As those who had been against the wall filter back to their seats to quietly start eating again, it becomes apparent that Lucifer might have to repeat himself.
- Sinister has posed:
The peaceful silence.
No, not new to this gift, it was the first he developed. He's had it a very long time, relatively speaking. The cart is stared at, then a gesture is made down the corridor toward the fallen MD2, down the ways a bit and against a wall as he is. Sin -knows- where that one is... card, card, whose got the card. Aha. Zip. Zip-up, turn, race, to his outstretched hand and ALL without an 'accio CARD' to be heard. It's placed against the lock and the door is regarded as whatever is going to happen... happens.
Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction -did- bring her back. Of course, he might now be suddenly hit by a comically hard impact freight train of a mutant in a cell, but likely not, given that it was simply an access card that granted him entrance.
Another card is placed on a bulkhead and with a deep breath, he extrapolates a miniature version of himself, hands it a bunch of the explosive cards and nods in silence for it to go and do what it needs to do. Another is polyped off, at his normal size, and nodded to, to go find hard data.
A glance is shot down relative to where the devil is playing chess with men, and back to the cell.
- Lucifer has posed:
"Now. Again. Tell me. Who are you in all of this? The maker? The keeper?" Since Lucifer saw the man command the others, that raises some questions but at the same time, they could all know different phrases to use when these clones are still being broken in.
"How many are there? The ones who look like him." He motions to the one who looks like an older Nick Drago, trying to hide the hurt that comes with seeing these sights. He wants to blow this place up and never look back. But Sin needs to finish his work.
So Lucifer will buy the evil Doctor time.
- Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
A bit of rummaging on MD2's body does produce a card. As the doctor tests his hypothesis he does indeed receive confirmation as there the sound of a lock disengaging. Although he's not greeted with the inside of a cell. At least, not directly. Instead what he comes across is a bit of an observation area. There's a bit of a clinical light in the immediate room. And to either side of the room is a window, granting a few into what seems to be, decently appointed rooms. Almost guest like save for blatantly secured door that blocks access into the rooms. One room is empty of people but seem ready for a stay at any moment. A bed, a chair, and a desk serve as the main furniture pieces with a small stack of books waiting upon the desktop. The only source of light appears to be on the ceiling but not hint of control to that light being in the room itself.
The other room. Well, based from the lanky figure curled up on the bed with the pillow over his head-
He doesn't seem to appreciate the light on above him. It is oddly quiet in the room. But the presence of a security camera in the room Sinister entered may typically hint to the possibility of others showing up soon.
With the man's attention shifts back to Lucifer and question repeated. The question, while not intended to be funny does cause for the man to smile. "I'm both. I am their creator...and my word trumps all to them."
As attention is brought over to the MD, the doctor ponders. "The MDs?" He pauses, considering the one seated closest to him, "Well I suppose they are one of the more noticeable ones. Eight that can walk around."
- Sinister has posed:
Sinister glances aside at the room he's in, then sighs softly to himself as he looks from it to the contents of the lab. A card is placed on electrical supply circuitry this time, and another on the floor beneath the glass separators of the unit of guest suites.
Then with a glance to the glass and around the edges, he extends a single finger and gazes at it until it silvers up, sharpens and elongates to a long , sharp knife. It's used to tap at the glass and once it's been loud enough to draw the individuals attention?
Well. Application of force can actually break things that are otherwise proof against a multitude of things -- not the glass, not that thing that can withstand an impact from a forty five calibre, or even the housing around it. Rather, the door lock that keeps that one imprisoned, given that it's unlikely HIS keycard will open THAT cell. Nope, jimmy the knife in, make contacts, make sure the rest of you is not conducting electricity, jimmy, then wallop the back of your knife hand until the circuit is fried.
ANd kick the door in.
And walk away.
Down now. If this one is smart enough to attempt to get to an escape pod, so be it. If not, he, like the others that Sinister cares anything about, will be gathered up and revived.
He has the rest of the meat locker to defrost, so to speak and once out of the void zone and going /downward/...
<<I am going to release the menagerie. You have probably got five minutes before the hull is critically compromised.>>
- Lucifer has posed:
At least one question exists in Lucifer's mind, and he'll need to ask it quick in order to deliver what he wants to Sinister.
<<I've got Mister Glasses who claims to be both creator and manipulator of the clones. What shall I do with him?>>
That asked, Lucifer tilts his head one way and then the other. Villians usually go on a rant of their evil plans right about now. So close to the end. Only they end up getting foiled. Not this story. Not this time. Lucifer won't let it happen.
"How many others are there? Surely this isn't the only place that these clones are being trained..."
- Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Doors being kicked in are not quiet events. As what is left of the blockade WHOMPS to the floor, the pillow on the man's head shifts. Rolling to his side, the pillow falls onto the bed as brown eyes peek from between long strands of hair. There's a slight wince to his expression, seemingly dealing with a migraine or something of the nature.
Thankfully for Sinister, the figure doesn't follow after the doctor. But as Sinister moves about doing his thing, the occasional brushes of nothingness in the telepathic area of powers is enough indication that the one he freed is indeed on the move.
And at some point MD2 vanishes completely once again.
The one in glasses pauses to the question. "Most didn't make it out of the dish. The sample was quite odd in that most parts of it weren't aging which one would think would be ideal but-" A hand gestures to MD4. "The successful results came from the less enhanced parts. Which...is both good and bad." There's a hrm. "We're up to EMD34 and MD. The EMDs prior to 20 have been disposed of but the MDs are still intact. MD3 is on the island. And MD7 is set for harvesting this week."
- Sinister has posed:
<<Whatever you wish to do, my love. I do not care whether he lives or dies. The research is paramount. The life forms are collateral, in this case.>>
Well, it's honest. And down. Down some more with but a glance upward to where those patches of silence in the mind exist.
He smiles to himself... and ends up where he knows he needs to end up. More destruction is applied to the bulkheads, for part of the element of this being successful is speed and purposeful harvesting. And then the 'dungeon'. Anything in his way down here, is simply going to have his or her neck snapped with a thought, or their windpipe crushed with a 'force grip'. At one point, before placing some of the last charges, Sinister actively waltzes the corridor; here, here and /here/. There was a brief wait whilst he recalled the two replicas of himself that he sent off to collect the goods and whatever they brought is placed in his waterproof duffel.
- Lucifer has posed:
"You know. I think it's quite interesting what you do. Taking DNA from one sample and trying to build upon it. Make more out of it. I suppose the aging factor was a desire because you could raise a whole army of creatures that you suspect would never die. Groundbreaking work." Lucifer says this as he stares at the bespeckled man before him. Intently.
"Hydra would be pleased. Imagine the amount of praise you would get. The innumerable ladders at your behest to choose to climb..." It would start from the inside. A little pang in the stomach. Like one had eaten food that did not agree with them. It doesn't end there, of course. Spreading to the bowels. A burning sensation that almost makes one feel they may have an accident if they do not get to a toilet soon.
But it doesn't stop. Oh it eases a bit, moving from the bowels into the blood. An inner sensation of itches, like a million needle pricks at once. The body gets hotter and hotter. Skin begins to flush. Blood to boil.
The rest of the sight is not a pretty picture, and it will very likely end up with either spontaneous combustion or a puddle of body fluid and melted flesh on the floor.
Topped with glasses.
<<Do what you need to and get out of here with what you wish to take. I am about to raze hell.>>
- Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Hearing the praise, the bespectacled man nods. "The immortality would have been ideal, but the end product is a fair consolation. Minimal health problems, never gets sick- Those bloodlines combined- ideal building blocks for the perfect solder, and when the original i-"
The doctor grimaces, bringing a hand to his stomach.
As others start to look towards the doctor, it becomes apparent the doctor being quiet is a RARE thing indeed.
But as the man starts to errupt into flame, there is a movement from a chunk of people at the nearby seats, moving away from him while those who had been commanded to eat, continue to do so. One deviating from the path would be MD4, who gets up from his seat, but instead of moving away from the doctor, he's grabbing nearby drinks to toss upon the doctor. It's a failed effort and once the doctor becomes ash. MD4 stares to the pile with a befuddled look. After a minute, he turns, looking to another person, not in uniform, waiting expectantly.
The 'dungeon' so to speak is two levels of holding cells with gua- *snap* *thud* "HU-" *thud*
...
Ok so they had guards.
As Sin waltzes through he ends up finding himself in the bottom lab. Complete with a MD7 strapped in and sleeping on a table.
- Sinister has posed:
Dispensing with the formalities, the psychic distress upstairs has him glancing just the once up that way with a small, but entirely wicked smile on his lips.
"Right then," the two replicas get sent about the lab to dispose and retrieve, he himself is placing a device that looks very like a Legion brick against one of the activation pads. He places a single fingertip on it. "Let them out," -- he looks at the strapped down MD7 and at least releases the restraints... easier to relocate later if necessary.
"Greetings. I am not the cavalry, at least not yet. You have five minutes to get your revenge upside; then get out if you can. If not, I shall likely see you later. Enjoy yourselves... and /please/ feel free to break things." He informs the open air.
Devices made from the study of alien life and mutant, metahuman and immortal genomes is a glorious thing. It does mean that cybernetic life forms such as Douglock provide such wonderful nano-communicating data to use, abuse and exploit. Then? He simply sits down, a bubble forming around himself to protect against the implosive doom that is going to happen and waits for the silent Darkness of the deep to flood in and wash away the ashes.
- Lucifer has posed:
There is likely a plan to extract those living beings that Sinister wishes to keep. Unfortunately, the doctor is in ashes and likely cannot be revived. Lucifer doesn't care. The soul will likely wind up in Hell and Lucifer will continue the punishment there.
As it is so it shall be.
Looking to MD4 who seems to be patiently awaiting some sort of command, the Devil cocks his head to one side and then shrugs. "Go. Kill. Destroy. Get angry. Get messy. Fuck shit up. But do it quick... nothing is to survive anyway." Will those words work? Who knows. Does Lucifer care? Maybe a little. But the end is coming, and the Devil always gets his due.
It will start as small things, in various areas, computers and knobs getting hot to the touch. Then they begin to sizzle. Crackle. Pop. Fires begin from seemingly nowhere and spread quickly. Is that an oxygen tank? Better think quick!
The floor is lava.
- Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Five minutes!
FIVE WHOLE MINUTES!
As the doors open and they're given that timeline, there's a general division of behavior amongst those freed. There's some that rush out, looking around fervently amongst others that have gotten out. The most notable group is the first two. A rainbow of various skin tones, shapes, and one could probably argue species to an extent emerge from the various opened doorways. And when one introduces elements of various backgrounds and cultures, there does lend to some displays from some...bad actors as some do not bother going upside and instead attack other prisoners of differing origin. There are howls and the sound of ripping flesh as some creatures decide to use their five minutes to eat their fill.
Huh.
Apparently some of them had good reason to be locked up.
Seal broken, reddish horned looking sort pops out of one containment area, seemingly about to head towards the ladder before he takes in a sniff. A fanged smile is displayed as it diverts its path to head towards the lab where the still sleeping MD7 doth lie.
There are some from the first group that make their way up, a few of them banging against the barrier Sinister set up to block off the mess hall.
There is a second group that continues moving. Rushing upwards to seek out any markings for where escape suits may be stored or to track down a newly freed teleporter. As for the last group. The third has opted to simply curl up to their corners and stay. Some even hug each other.
For five minutes- is not a long time to do much of anything and if they all rush to the steps, no one's getting up.
As Lucifer speaks up, MD4 looks over to him. He doesn't appear to listen to the devil but upon the last one he gives a slight smile. Seemingly handling the death of the doctor rather well. As things start to heat up, MD4's smile fades as he jumps onto the table. Gritting his teeth, he leans forward as two telltale lumps prod the back of his shirt, stretching it.
- Sinister has posed:
All these mental signatures, even those that sat down and hugged one another, all of this is an imprint on the wax tablet of the mind.
Play havoc and let loose the dogs of war!
But soon enough, the world will go black and filled with water and to that end, Sinister careth not what occurs here, only what will be retrieved from the depths and revived when the great tentacular behemoth of his nano-retrieval system and localized wormhole technology metal-tentacles the dead and the drowning to their recovery and regeneration tanks. It will be a BUSY night at Sinister's facilities, no question.

And the inner bulkheads spring massive leaks.
<<Four.>>
And the upper floor ventilation tubes and structural stability conduits...
<<Three.>>
The air, incandescent as it was anyway, starts to find the path of least resistance out of pressurized, reinforced, submersible tin-can in the depths of the ocean..
<<Take the one that's with you, Lucifer. Save him. TWO.>>
And silence comes crashing in, because ear drums will burst in the sudden loss of pressurization. The fires mercfully will go out. But then there's the hull crashing in to crush and buckle the internals, bubble of barrier in the mess hall disappears suddenly as the bulk of protection is centred on Sinister himself.

Somewhere, sonar and whales are probably hearing that last blip.
