Cast of Characters: Green Arrow, Black Canary

Green Arrow has posed:
It's been a few days since their meeting at the sandwich cafe and Ollie, as he had promised, sent info to Dinah about the troubles brewing up in the city. A new player in town trying to take over the drug dealers and establishing it as their area. Obviously something Oliver wants to stop. From the info sent they are chinese, he has found a few before but still hasn't been able to capture any.

Oliver is currently dressed as Green Arrow, having sent the request for her to join him at the underground lair. It's time for some serious patrol but for now he busies himself getting those arrows sharp, sitting on a bench and working slow. He is a patient enough man, specially now that he's older, and wiser... Ok, maybe not the wiser part.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake arrives shortly after. Stepping into the lair she is very familiar with, she walks over to Ollie. She's dressed as Canary, ready to go.
"Anything developing yet or are we going to go shake some trees and see what falls out?" She looks down at the arrowheads being sharpened. "Or are we going to take a more proactive approach?"

Green Arrow has posed:
The lair itself feels..., empty.., or at least more empty than in the past, lined up in the walls the mementos of past members of team arrow, Arsenal, Speedy's.., even Laurel's OTHER canary. But one way or another most seem to be out following their own path now. Which in a way can be a good thing, at least for Oliver. At least he gets to play with all the gadgets himself, and that lair indeed has a few, be it with the computers, the various tech devices, arrows, bows. All the good stuff.

The man gets up to his feet when Canary walks in. "Dinah." a nod given. He sees as dressed as Canary, ready, so it's go time, bringing the hood up on his face, "I have sources telling me that there's been a few elements out in the streets shaking down some of the old drug dealers. Attempting to do some.., forced recruitment." the man lets out a breath, "I have a few leads on some places where we can intercept a few. I am hoping we can then have a little talk with one."

It's no coincidence that the lair does have an interrogation room afterall. He gestures to the door and starts walking there. "Brought your set of wheels I hope?"

Black Canary has posed:
Canary nods. "Ready when you are then. Let's go find some stool pigeons." She reaches over, picking up a few throwing knives and smoke pellets. Always good to restock. She tucks those away and falls in behind Arrow. "So. Do you have an Arrowmobile yet? Or are we riding solo?" she quips with a smirk. The last thing she grabs on the way out is a collapsable staff, slipping up inside the back of her leather jacket.

Green Arrow has posed:
Arrow eyes the nabbing of the throwing knives and the rest of the things, nodding his approval. For his part he stocks up on his usual smoke arrows, the restraining ones and even the old fashioned pointy ones. Then he brings his collapsible bow, sliding it on his back. "Well, there -was- that flying bike." keyterm 'was', there must be some story behind it but he doesn't speak further on it, instead choosing to continue on the way out.

"But for now I am on a normal one. And Arrowmobile does have a good ring to it though ..., what do you think I am? Batman?" The man quirks his brow, not that there are -that- many differences between them but still.., they have their deep differences. "Anyway, be on your toes. The reports I hear is they may be doing something to be .., better. My bet is enhancement drugs." he leads the way out and goes to fetch his own bike. Time to roll!

Black Canary has posed:
Canary shakes her head, "No flying." Pretty much final on that topic. She looks over and shrugs, "I dunno, Daddy Warbucks. You've got pockets almost as deep. Why not. Arrow Lair. Arrowmobile. Arrowcopter. Arrowboat." She pauses, but unable to resist she adds, "Arrowcomputer...." a snicker. "My bike is parked out back. The same place they always keep them. Starting hers up she nods.. "Better is still less than the Best." Confident. She grins and rolls out along side.

Green Arrow has posed:
The no flying part brings out a raised brow From Arrow. She is a Canary. It means wings! Well, he will ask later. For now it's go time on looking for those bandits. He turns on his bike, letting the engine purr though just before leaving gives a small earpiece to Canary, "So we can communicate. Should hold up to one mile apart or so if needed." he explains, putting on his own to then beginning to ride out. He speaks to the mic, "You do have a point. On the gadgets. But let's try to come up with more original names, yes?" he smirks, speeding up through the streets that lead to the more darker avenues of Starling city. The ones where trouble normally arises. And trouble is just what they are looking for tonight.

There is a clear difference from this area to the richer ones, darker, not every lights on the streets working. Certainly not as gloom as Gotham but Starling has it's own share of darkness, if one knows where to look. He slows, going around a corner. "My sources tell me they have been focusing this area so .., perk up." and indeed ahead there are some sounds. Screams? Then voices, coming from down an alley.

Black Canary has posed:
Canary inserts the earpiece and nods. "Works for me." She rides along and continues to joke, "What about.... the Oli-puter. The Oli-car. Oli-vator...." a snicker slips out as the wind tousles her hair behind her. "You really need to consider these things. It'll get you into the big leagues with those Bats out east" she jokes.

"Understood." Tha fast she switches from joking to serious, letting her bike coast through the turn, eyes scanning the area. "would help if we had more idea of what we're out here looking f.." Had she been accelerating around the turn she'd probably not have heard the screams. Snapping her gaze to the alley "Down there, Ollie.. you hear that?"

Green Arrow has posed:
"Did you just say Oli-vator..?" Ollie's tone is serious on the mic but for someone that knows him well as Dinah he probably is more amused than anything. But there's that reputation to maintain. And having oli-gadgets won't help. No sireee.

But the same way that Dinah turns to serious so does he, attentive. He wasn't exactly listening to those screams, a bit further away from that alley though at Dinah's call he approaches, slowing down to a stop until he frowns. Yes, those sound like screams. A scuffle. "Good ears. Let's go."

Being an alley he lets go of the bike and then it's go time on foot, keeping to the shadows as he goes, fast but also not wanting to just be noticed when he arrives. The walk through the alley, which leads over to a deeper end of the neighborhood they are at has very little lights to speak of. A flickering one over a corner that gives that telltale buzzing sound that it's going to fail any minute now. Nearby there are a few men, one on the floor and two near him, offering a few kicks to his ribs. Near are two others, one with a cast on his arm, as if he had recently been hurt, a nice suit to him, the others looking to be more rough. Still, they are all chinese, except the one on the ground.
