Superman has posed:
It was cold. The wind whipped through the graveyard like a demon, hellbent on leeching the lifeforce and heat from all bystanders. March on the East Coast was hard. Dark. Bleak. The end of winter, that had, just at the dge of it, the hope of Spring. Something stirs in the air. The feeling of rebirth. Of life. Of renewal.

Several people were meandering around the grave of the Man of Steel. People were looking up at Superman's outstretched hand, missing him. Wondering if he would return. The city was in chaos. The heroes trying to fill in were left wanting, as numerous villains took full advantage of the absence of one man. The Last Son of Krypton. Superman.

Underneath the crypt was the remnants of the tunnels. Tunnels left behind by enemies of the Man of Steel. Were there clues to be found? Even SHIELD had found none. So far.

Supergirl has posed:
The cold didn't bother her. Not the cold from the weather. This was a chill that came over her every single time she came to this place. Supergirl floated down from the sky, skirt fluttering in the wind as her booted feet came to rest on the ground next to Superman's grave.

She had told the image of Superman that she was not ready for the onus of the Shield. That image had supported her, shown belief in her. So here she was again, returning to this spot she hated. Hate was a strong word and an equally strong emotion. She tried to avoid such dark emotions but they were part of her, whether she liked it or not. She preferred lighter things, such as the hope that had sprung forth that day in the Fortress.

She remembered something and it had been bothering her. She focused on the grave. The ground. The box within it. Further, using her X-Ray vision even as people were taking notice of her arrival.

Superman has posed:
Cold doesn't bother Kryptonians. That was for sure. But shadows and whispers...perhaps. A lone woman with a young boy looks up as Supergirl arrives, both with wide eyes. The boy reaches out as though to touch her, but his mother stops him, and with quick, "Let's go...she needs to speak to her family Gabriel. Superman was her cousin." They then turn to leave, both giving Supergirl time with her cousin.

The gravesite was barren now. The casket was empty, after a quick view with her X Ray vision reveals. A cape was there, with the symbol of the House of El prevalent. It didn't take much to know that that was Superman's cape. The one he wore when he...died. There was even DNA present,  provingwho had owned it, and would fool cursory DNA scans. Not someone who was thorough though - like a certain Super Cousin.

There were other things present. Electronics. A transmitter. Even several desatroyed surveillance equipment. Why would a grave need these things? They looked advanced...advanced even for organizations like SHIELD.

Supergirl has posed:
"Rao help me," Supergirl murmured softly, trying to get any help here she could. At this point, divine was about the best she could hope for really. She narrowed her eyes as she focused on the cape. It made tears sting at her eyes but she forced that down. No time. No emotions. If there was to be any hope, time was of the essence.

"That isn't..." She focused on the DNA, using that vision which was impossible for any humans. Few other than Kryptonians had that sort of sight, though there were some.

She picked up that frequency that a human couldn't. A tilt of her head as she quickly began to focus on the various surveillance devices. It was time for her to go down there.

And with that, suddenly she was flying into the air and diving /into/ the ground, spinning her body as she did so in order to dig her way to those tunnels. Be damned if she was going to try the discreet route at the moment.

Superman has posed:
This time Rao was silent. However, the surveilance equipment wasn't. The drilling got her to the devices within seconds. There was one device, very small, that was still transmitting. In a code Supergirl could not understand, but it was there. Sending a signal. To the waterfront. The signal was strange and alien. Almost...Shi'ar in origin. Was that Shi'ar? Had she heard it before?

What was easy for her was the serial number on the device. Something to consider, and would be easy for someone like Nick Fury or another senior member of SHIELD to discover or decode. It was of Terran origin, as the device was unmistakeably an "intelligence" device that would never have been discovered except for one thing. Kryptonian senses and perseverance.

Supergirl has posed:
Supergirl grabbed the device, making a quick note of the serial number and opting to follow it to the source when the time came. For now, should she let it remain? It wasn't like whoever didn't know she was there. They had to know by her arrival. But for now, she left the camera running.

She was back out the hole as quickly as she had gotten there. Using super speed, the hole was covered. Only the grass being out of place was an indication it had happened.

Then she was airborne. Her gaze went to the waterfront but her flight took her toward a tall building the opposite direction. The Triskelion was about to have a visitor.
