The second guard
Date of Scene: 02 June 2020
Location: Englewood, Buchanan, Central City (Gem Cities), Missouri
Synopsis: Ami and Canary talk
Cast of Characters: White Fox, Black Canary

White Fox has posed:
it's opera night in Gem City, and of course, one has invited the creme de la creme... or at least those that would show up. And to achieve so, some tickets had been sponsored, sent to various people... just to get the right kind f people to the grand stages.

Ami Han, governement official from South Kora, got one of these sponsored tickets in the mail, though instead, she sent her liason to take a look. White fox, in a white dress. Not one of America's heroes, but for sure worth a look for some news outles.

Black Canary has posed:
The Justice League got an invitation to this party. And... Canary drew the short straw. Oh well. She shows up, in her combat outfit, fishnet stocking and domino mask and all, smiling softly as she has her Justice League credentials on a lanyard, just to make it clear. She blinks as she sees White Fox. She's heard of the Korean hero, but knows little so moves over. "You're far from home," she states softly, extending her hand. "Black Canary."

White Fox has posed:
With two heroines in the visitor pool, mingling before the actual show, some offer space, others try to get a photo with them. After getting rid of one particular example, White fox spins around to the other, taking the hand with a smile, her own face wearing a similar mask as the canary but in white. "White Fox from South Korea. It's a pleasure to meet you!" she greets back, sending a glance to the opera intendant somewhere at the stairs. "That's almost cute. A Yin-Yang of our names."

Black Canary has posed:
Black Canary nods slowly. "It would be amusing if our powers were equally counterbalanced, but from what I have heard, that's not the case," she muses. "I got this last minute so I don't even know what kind of event this is. Superman was supposed to go but had an emergency in Russia or something." she smiles softly. "I should've wore a dress. But this was so last moment."

White Fox has posed:
Ami Han says, "Oh, you have heard about me? That's a huge thing! I mean, who cares about other country's heroes in the US? Though t begs to wonder what kind of things you have heard about me." she muses, chuckling at the Superman quip. "And I bet the Batman was indisposed because he had to take care of his menagerie already, and each of the others managed to be found by an emergency, no matter how small, and sadly hindered from attending... At least you wear stockings, which is more than many other heroes can say in costume. Look at me, I am in a white dress and I am feeling so out of place...""

Black Canary has posed:
Black Canary smiles faintly. "I don't know - something about animals." She shrugs. "Yeah, it was funny how that happened. Flash had to race Reverse-Flash, Martian Manhuter had a psychic migraine..." She shrugs. "I kinda like these events. I'm quite the singer," she states, smiling widely. "And I'm not really sure fishnet stockings is the kind of stockings people wear to formal events. As far as superheroes go you aren't quite normal garment-wise, but for an event like this, ignoring the hero part, you're dressed the part."

White Fox has posed:
Ami Han says, "It's kinda short." White fox whispers, winking to Black canary as she gestures to one of the people offering refreshments. "Oh, sure, I can talk to them, but that's by far not the main thing. Like you being kinda hard to throw down isn't your main weapon either." She chuckles again as she takes a pair of champagne flutes, offering one to Canary. "But now we're here and do our job in making some of the local menagerie of villains think twice before striking and getting struck by those heroes they didn't plan for confronting. Isn't that security concept ingenious?"

Black Canary has posed:
Black Canary nods slowly. "Yeah - but these crystal flutes are so fragile... my best singing voice would shatter them so easily," she notes as she takes a sip. "I'm not really sure there's much supervillain activity here. Some of Flash's rogues live around here I think...." She shrugs slowly. "Here's to being too scary to mess with," she notes as she clinks her flute with yours.

White Fox has posed:
White Fox chuckles as she takes a little sip from the flute. "Oh sure, but unless they ask you to demonstrate the climbing opera diva in a short arie, the glass surely is safe from getting hit with a resonance attack, right?" she teases back, gesturing a little to the crowd after. "Well, surely the mere presence of two does dissuade at least the non-lunatic ones and for the later ones, our presence means their own target of fixation is somewhere else, which incetivices them to look for their nemesis to pursue them elsewhere... which does keep the event safe. A solid security concept, even if skeed."
