A quiet night at the club

Location:	Club Evolution, Mutant Town
Synopsis:	And Sam and Kori learn a bit about one another.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie is working the club tonight. It is open mic night and seems there has been a bit more soft ballads chosen tonight. It happens now and again, there is enough people here it is making money but it is not rip roaring as it is some nights.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r steps into the bar. Though not a mutnat, Kory's exotic looks put her in a similar camp as she decides to take a seat. She takes a seat at a bar and orders a beer and a bottle of mustard.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over a brow raised as he hears the order. The bartender seems a bit unsure about the mustard but brings it to her. Sam is a bit curious as well so he will watch from the end of the bar.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods as she takes a swig of the mustard first, and a swig of the beer, nodding in satisfaction - then starts to squirt mustard into her beer and swirls it around. She's aware that people are probably staring at her - but she likes that. She hmmmmms as she takes a sip. "Thank you," she cooooos.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over and says "Ok, Ah have seen quite a few things in my life, even had a friend who recharged himself by putting a finger in alight socket, but don't think Ah ever saw someone drink straight mustard mix it in their beer.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r smiles softly. "I'm not from around here. It tastes good to me." She sips happily as she glances at you. "I'm Koriand'r, Or Starfire if you prefer." She sips again. "I like this place - I get stared at much less than usual."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods for a moment and offers his hand "Sam, Ah run the place here and we try to make sure it is friendly here to anyone who is not trying to start trouble." He hmms and says "So out of curiousity figure out what part of the mustard is extra tasty to you?

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods. "As far as I can tell, I process 'sweet' and 'bitter' opposite of humans. That's why I like beer - it's sweet to me - and mustard." She ponders. "That 'soda' that hew-mons drink all the time - is... yucky."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hmms and says "Ever tried straight vinegar or pickle juice?" There are some people like sour and bitter stuff as well... Actually know something might be like perfect for ya but not sure if I have any handy.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r shrugs. "Not a fan. Mustard has great flavor." She sighs softly. "Vinegar is just... sweet without anytihng else. It has no character."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hmms and nods his head a bit to this and says "Ever had the bitter out of a pecan?" And yea if not already the way he says pecan puts him from the south.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r just blinks. "I don't know what you mean there." She gazes at you, blinkblinking as she tilts her head. "A pecan is a treenut, right?" She just stares at you blankly, finishing her mustard-beer.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head, and says "Yea, they grow on trees, make really good pies. But there is this little bit of stuff inside it between the two halves of the nut, you accidently bit it feels like gonna turn ya mouth wrong side out.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r raises an eyebrow. "Do you have any of these pecans handy?" she asks softly. "Oh - I should've brought my pet... but... some places don't like pets inside, right?" she asks, tilting her head as she gets her wallet out to get a picture of the Silkie.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hmms and says "I aint got any right now, but I could probably get you some." He looks at the picture, and says "Does it do anything odd, that might cause trouble here?"

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r shrugs as she shows you the picture. "He drools a lot," she muses softly. "This is the Silkie - my adorable little bumgorf," she chirps, acting very much a proud pet-parent. "He's from my homeworld."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods a bit and says "Am curious did Lila Cheney ever play your home world?" It will seem the young man knows the Rock star is intergalactic.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r just blinks. "No - Tamaran wasn't very... welcoming... at that time. I've heard some of her stuff though. The HMSS Starfire, my personal ship, has a few songs of hers in its database." She shrugs. "If she did go there, she must not have been very bright."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Well she has played a few places that were dives or a bit odd on occasion. Toured with her a little bit thought she might have. She plays here when she is passing through."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r murmurs, "I mean a war zone - my world was not pleasant the last ten years. Anyway - I don't want to talk about it anymore." She shrugs. "Do you like living here in this... "Mutant Town"?" she asks.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods a bit and says "Sorry did not mean to bring up bad memories. "I live here part time, but it is a decent place a little rough at time, but most of the locals are good people and try to look out for one another, and don't put the way ya look, or what ya can do into making an opinion of you.
