Cast of Characters: Supergirl, Captain Boomerang, Rage, Barghest

Supergirl has posed:
It's early evening and a weekend night at that. And you know what that means! Party time at the club! Tonight they're doing a Karaoke number as people gather at the tables to dine along to improv singing. It's fairly crowded at that, so finding a seat will be tricky, but Kara was determined to look for Andrea again, maybe thank her for the autograph.

She's wearing a short white cut off top, blue denim mini skirt and a red headband, maybe vaguely echoing one of her costume variants, but with no S shield or gloves, black knee high boots instead of red. She's currently sitting at a table near the stage, having claimed it early on as she waits for Owen to join her, whom she had texted to come join her.

Captain Boomerang has posed:
Having received a text message asking him to join her, Owen would show up a little later, wearing his civilian clothes, but that was pretty much his standard attire. His costume had some superhero leanings, but was pretty easy to hide. And even when out and about, he always at least had a few boomerangs on him, usually his retractable ones, as they were far more convenient.

He wore a blue jacket with white accents. It said 'Melbourne Victory' over the right breast, with the club's insignia. It was his favorite soccer team back home. Under that, he had a white v-neck t-shirt, and blue jeans on below. He would first head to the bar, getting two drinks, before finding Kara at a table near the stage. Setting the drinks down on coasters, he would give her a quick peck, and then take his seat, "been waiting long?" He asked.

Rage has posed:
It's a weekend and with Jay working the club, Andrea is sure to be found lurking around with her twin brother. The pair of lycans are yin and yang in many ways, though one look at them could easily tell they are related. The popstar is currently making her way on to the stage, putting her hand upwards to wave to the crowd that roars at the sight of her. Tonight she is wearing a pair of tight leather pants and a top that cuts off just below her breats with the word: MUTANT across it in bold red letters. The scars along her stomach are revealed as well, twisted and wrapped around towards her back.

It seems she is in a mood tonight. A bit of pent up energy in need of being released.

"Whaddup Mutant Town!? You ready to turn this weekend up? I want you on your feet! I want to hear you stomping. I want this roof set on fire!"

As the music hits and the lights pour along the stage, she begins to move like a wolf along the stage, her dance moves purposeful and timed as she swipes the mic off the stand as she strides past it. The song is a familiar one from her first album, Backstabber. This one was a hit in the clubs overseas with how fast the beat hits and the lyrics that sing.

"Baby, now and then!
I think about me now and who I could've been!
And then I pictcure all the perfect that we lived,
Till' I cut the stings on your tiny violin!"

"My minds got a m-m-mind of it's own right now!
And it makes me hate me!
I'll explode like a dynamite if I can't decide, baby!"

The chorus hits, her voice roaring as she double clutches the microphone, bobbing on her knees as she sways back and forth along with the crowd.

"My head! My heart! They're torturing me, yeah!
Lost my mind in your arms, I go to extremes, yeah!
When angels tell me to run and monsters call it love, Oh!
My heart and my heart are caught in between, yeah!"

The crowd knows the lyrics as they sing along with her as she points her microphone out towards them for the next stanza. The lights behind her ripple to cause her shadow to loom large behind her on the wall. It's a whole 'thing' that they set up for tonight. Just a bit of fun to wake the neighborhood up.

Barghest has posed:
One would think the twin brother of a pop star would be... more. More recognizable, more in the media, more well-dressed outside of jeans gone 'trendy' in the old-fashion way of too many years of use and a monochrome black over white unbuttoned-over-tee combo. But Nevada is none of those things and has even been missing from Andrea's Instagram for nearly half a year and unseen in these parts until today. Not that anyone pays him mind.

The young man is sitting in one of the booths not far from the stage with his table laden with baskets of food from cheese-covered fries to wings to a double patty hamburger. He's been eating them all steadily but neatly by himself, though he looks like he'd border on the scrawny side if it wasn't for that sheer caloric intake. He's tapping a foot along to his sister's beat with a calm, contented grin on his face when he's not taking a drink of water.

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers had gone ahead and ordered some finger food herself, a basket of sweet potatoes fries, chess tricks and a nacho cheese platter. She is waiting for Owen to join her before digging in. When he arrives, she smiles, tilting her head up to accept the kiss no matter how brief, shuffling in the booth and tugging him to join her. "Hey! You brought drinks..Thanks!"

She reaches for a cheese stick before nodding to the stage as the light turn down low for the main attraction, "I'd say you're just in time,..Woow, isn't she amazing!" she waves to the starlet, adding her own enthusiastic cheer to the chorus of voices around them. "Wooo, Andrea! You're Soo awesome!" she screams at her with a grin..

And then she's singing and dancing and Kara sits back, sipping her drink as she listens, swaying to the beat, taking a few sips of her coke..She hasn't yet noticed Nevada..

Captain Boomerang has posed:
Owen wasn't as much of a fan of Andrea's music as Kara, but he enjoyed it. Mostly though, he enjoyed Kara's company, and the food. How did he keep so trim with his appetite? He would steal a cheese stick, and then some nachos, and the fries, although he insisted on calling them chips, being an Australian. "Yeah, she's something special, though not as special as a certain someone. You look great by the way." He would wash some of the food down with his own drink, before going for some more nachos. "Evil, just evil. The salt in the nachos makes me thirsty, so I drink more, but then I want more nachos. A vicious cycle."

Rage has posed:
When the song comes to an end in a shower of strobe lights, Andrea takes a moment to breathe as she lifts her hand upwards, reveling in the cheering of the crowd. She gives a glance towards the bar to steal a look at a certain red winged dishwasher, giving him a wink before she strides along the stage upon her expensive bright white sneakers. The beat continues to rumble through the speakers as a single spotlight hits her, then follows her along the stage. She is flanked by a trio of backup dancers who are dressed in bright and colorful items that are designed to make the light shine and sparkle off them.

For those who may be familiar with the old Disney 'villain' TV series, they may recognize this song from the series known as The Descendants. Rotten To The Core. The song is designed to be heavy, fast paced with amusing lyrics of how to be a 'bad kid'. She performed it a few times with a cast of actors back when she worked for the mouse.

As the four on stage move in unison in quick paced dance moves, their feet stomp heavily, though they appear light footed. Though each of them has a singing part, it's clear that the popstarlet has the lead vocals during the chorus. It's near the end of the song is where the dancing really kicks in as they move in perfect synch, fast and in a way that would leave people exhausted just watching it. the loud bass of the song pounds through the speakers through their dance routine until it ends with a heavy 'thud'.

"Thanks guys!" She calls out to the applause. "I hope you have a great time tonight. If anyone takes on one of my songs and impresses the crowd, I'll pay the tab for you and your friends!" A bit of a gauntlet thrown down to the crowd in good fun as she makes her way off the stage, waving as she goes.

Barghest has posed:
The song choice has Nevada rolling his eyes, though his expressions are nothing but affectionate and have that impression of familiar suggestion that he's teased her about it before.

Here and there his eyes will rove around the crowd towards the groups screaming out their excitement. His eyes briefly pause on the arrangement of Kara and Owen with a half-quirked grin of recognition for the former, but he doesn't get up to disturb them or try bellowing to get attention. One would leave his food unguarded. The other is likely a lost cause with the volume, not to mention distracting. So he just crams a large bite of the burger in his mouth and leans back to listen to Andrea finish her brief show.

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers continues to munch on nachos herself as she taps her foot to the beat, grinning and cheering every so often at high points in the performance. She's not really into those villainous type stories but the music has a good beat.

Owen is given a slight smile and playful nudge as he flatters her, "Oh you, you're too sweet!" she chuckles and shrugs, continuing to watch the performance, cheering and clapping as Andrea and her entourage head off the stage. "Woow, that was sooo amazing, I need to come here more often." Her gaze does drift across the crowds for a moment, spying maybe a familiar face, and Kara smiles and waves at Nev as she recognizes him.

"Oh hey, her brother's here too.."'

Captain Boomerang has posed:
Not being familiar with the Descendants, the music comes across as fresh and new to Owen. "Oh, that's just the Coca-Cola. Drink enough of it, and it seeps into the skin. I really should cut back, or else I'm going to start sweating sugar out of my pores." He claps when appropriate, cheering, but not as heartedly as Kara. "Brother huh? Does he sing too?"He would look in the direct Kara was, trying to figure out who was Andrea's brother.

Rage has posed:
Once she hops off the steps of the stage, Andrea makes her way towards Nevada's table and slinks down next to him, reaching out to steal a cheese stick and dips it into some ranch dressing. She leans in and bumps his shoulder a bit playfully, then reaches for her phone he was guarding for her.

"So, what's the damage up to? Three hundred bucks of food?" She asks her black hole of a brother when it comes to calories. She scoots in close and leans in, holding the phone up to take a selfie of them, then goes about posting it on her Instagram. "You going to go dancing or are you waiting for your girrrrrlfriend?"

Barghest has posed:
A cheese fry is raised to Kara in salute from Nevada's booth along with a wide and friendly grin. Snack-and-song fans unite!

The cause of the evening's celebration is then returning to the booth and he pulls an indignant face at her question. "Pah, really, do I look like I have expensive tastes to you? Besides, you can get a lot more for your money ordering loaded fries instead of filet minion. Which, fun fact, is probably the most flavorless of the main cuts. You're paying for the tenderness and the name, not actual flavor. Anyone who orders those thinking they're getting the best is an uneducated moron."

"Aaaaannndd neither? I'm just here hanging with my sister and enjoying my favorite bar food. I didn't mind skipping the cold in Arizona, but I do miss big city garbage food."

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers chuckles at Owen, "Ohh, you're so funny! It'll be ok day, just need to go take a long walk later, burn off all that excess energy!" she smiles as she takes another handful of fries before peering back at the stage. Andrea is gone but that challenge is up on the table. "Hmm. should I try? Not much of a singer though.."

But it looks like Andrea has joined Nev, and she'd like to pay her a visit but maybe they should give her time to relax a bit first? "Dunno, I only met him once briefly. Nice guy, don't really see the resemblance but.."

Captain Boomerang has posed:
"I don't think you burn too many calories walking, but how about a nice moonlit jog? Is the moon out tonight? How about a street light lit jog?" Patting his stomach, which was actually washboard like, "flabby as I am, I doubt I'd last a week in a South American war," repeating a line he had heard somewhere or other, "Oh, definitely. You can do it Kara. I believe in you. I'll even go up there with you if you want. I'll make you look good by comparison."

Rage has posed:
There is a loud snort from Andrea as she props her chin up in the palm of her hand. "You're a nerd. Why you gotta hate on a good steak for?" She waves the cheese stick with the other hand, then takes a bite of it. "I'm just glad that you're back, just in time to help me move into our new home. Now you'll have a proper bedroom and Jay and I can have our basement studio for the band. Wait until I show it to you tomorrow. It's huge and a tenth of the price of the condo. Way less busy. Lots of trees."

As she glances off in the direction of his snack salute, she spies Kara and Owen, humming to herself. "You recognize her? She smelled familiar the other day." She says as she wrinkles her nose up. "Don't make a comment on that, it's a wolf thing." She says with an amused look to him. "That guy had me autograph a boomerang to give to her."

Barghest has posed:
"You only think it's good because the media told you. Not that it's shit, just not worth the price." Nevada tuts as he takes another bite of his burger.

"New place, huh? Oh yeah, you did mention that. Bit of a longer hike for me to, uh, tend to work but that's what Uber's for if I'm feeling lazy. Okay, that's maybe a bit classless given my work, but you get what I mean."

Mention of recognition has him arching a brow. "...course, I met her with you, actually. You were signing autographs. You were also fangirling your eyes out because it was an epic day for you. You clearly are not sleeping enough, sis." He gives her a quick wink before he's getting out of his seat. "Be back, gotta hit the 'room."

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers smirks at Owen, "Midnight jog might be fun, but now I'm super pumped! Let's do this!" she grins, taking his hand and tugging him to her feet, "But you'd better not leave me up there alone! Here we go!"she's making for the stage, stretching her arms as she wait for the microphone to be handed her.

But of course, Kara had signed up ahead of time, eager to sing to one of Andrea's songs, eager to impress her, even if she's not herself a trained singer or super talented really.

Now, to find a suitable song..

Captain Boomerang has posed:
What did Owen just volunteer for? He was suddenly starting to regret it. She called his bluff and tugged him up to his feet, soon to be on stage. "Oh, we're doing this now?" He asked with a laugh, unfortunately, he didn't know any of Andrea's songs, so he was hoping that there would be like a karaoke selection. Even before they got to the front, he would suggest, "do you think they have anything by Taio Cruz, Justice Crew, or maybe Savage Garden?"

Rage has posed:
As she bobs her head to the music in between acts, Andrea takes a bite of her cheesestick. She squints her eyes at Nevada, then looks back towards Kara and Owen. Her brows scrunch upwards. "Of course I don't sleep, I /work/ for a living. I can't just eat junkfood all day and crash on my siblings couch and talk to ghosts when I'm bored." She continues to study Kara from the distance, propping her chin up again. She narrows one eye, then glances over towards Nevada. "Waaaait.. is that.. 'SuperGirl'?" She mouths to him.

Barghest has posed:
"Yeah yeah, sorry my celestially-mandated job doesn't get me a 401K and benefits." Teases Nevada as he shimmies out of the booth.

The only form of confirmation or denial Nevada gives his sister on his way to the bathroom is a supremely unhelpful flourish of a cheese fry as he walks away. Was it a yes? A no? An only on Tuesdays while signing t-shirts for tourists in Time Square?

In his defense, one never knows when villainous lip readers may be on the prowl.

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers grins and winks to Owen, "Don't worry, we got this, let's give em a show!" her confidence is larger than whatever talent she's got, but maybe that's enough as she strides on stage, taking Owen's hand and giving a little twirl before letting go. The echoed background tune of four minutes starts to play as Kara strides around on stage, grasping one of the mic's to this duo song..

~I've been waiting for somebody to pick up my stroll
Well, don't waste time
Give me a sign, tell me how you wanna roll, mmm
I want somebody to speed it up for me
Then take it down slow
There's enough room for both..~

Captain Boomerang has posed:
Owen grabs the other microphone, looking very much out of his depth here. Not quite a deer in headlights, but nervous as all hell. This was the kind of thing your mates dare you to do when drunk, but he was far too sober for that kind of confidence. Grabbing another microphone, he moves about the stage, not quite a coordinated as Kara, but no slouch himself. He would sing the male parts, looking to the prompter for the lyrics, but try his best, and... he actually had a damn good singing voice. He's been holding out on us.

~Well, I can handle that
You just gotta show me where it's at
Are you ready to go?
(Are you ready to go?) (freaky, freaky, freaky, freaky, freaky come on)

If you want it
You already got it
If you thought it
It better be what you want, uh (freaky, freaky)
If you feel it
It must be real just
Say the word and
I'm a give you what you want, uh~

Rage has posed:
As her brows lift upwards, Andrea leans back in the chair to watch the pair of them on stage. Her arms fold over her chest as she glances back and forth between the pair. After a few seconds, she drags the rest of Nevada's snacks over and tucks in to eat. She looks amused at the song choice. She likes that one. A favorite of hers. She digs Madonna.

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers grins, continuing to dance and twirl and sing in tandem with Owen..Really, she's not a terribly great singer but points for enthusiasm at least? They only have four minutes tops for this aptly named song so she's gonna make the most if it as they get into the last round:

The time is waiting( We only got four minutes to save the world)
No hesitating
Grab a boy (Then grab a girl)
Time is waiting (We only got four minutes to save the world)
No hesitating (We only got four minutes, heh, a-four minutes)
