Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie is sitting in the rec room, this evening, He has a tablet in hand and seems to be flipping through pages of something, and occasionally writting something down on a tablet he has with him

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Rec room! Perfect place to relax, get something to snack on and relax a little bit and read a book! And that's exactly what Kit is doing, flomped into a bean-bag chair and reading from an old looking book that doesn't have a title on the spine; at least not one that most people now days could read.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over at the yeen, and hmmms. I thought. He will type something into the tablet, and scroll a bit more and asks "Hey Kit, you know Shannon, and the other guys in your class's favorite colors?

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit looks up from his book and tilts his head for a moment before he admits, "I probably should..? But, no. Not off the top of my head at least." with a little shrug and a quiet chuckle. "Doing holiday shopping?" he asks after a moment, tilting his head slightly.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods a bit and says "Trying to figure out a few things. Well whats yours?" He will ask, and holds his pen down to the tablet to take a note of this "With the amount Ah have back home, and here the sooner Ah start the better.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit gives a little chuckle and gives a simple, "Purple." in response.. Go figure, the person whose power manifests as violet energy is a fan of purple. There's a little yawn from the yeen before he adds, "I've actually been thinking of what I should get for people as well."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head and says "Anything I can help you with?" He asks the young man. "Ah've been here for a few years, and may have some info I can help you if you want." He looks over and says "Found somethign for Shannon yet?"

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit gives a little nod, "Actually, I could use a bit of help in figuring out what I should get them. Never really dealt with holidays like this before honestly, so.." He lets the thought trail off, giving a little chuckle as he draws the ribbon of his book and closes it.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over to the other and says "Well first thing is to realize the thought is more important than the price. "Jax like my buddy will probably get big presents for folks just cause they are used to, but I thin he will at least put some thought into it. " He reaches for his tea nearby taking a sip, and says "So tell me we will start with Jax. What comes to mind when you think of him.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit glances aside a little and murmurs, "A lot of things.. But, I was thinking about getting him an amulet of Bastet.. See if I can get an enchantment or two put on it before I give it to him too." Then he gives a little shrug, "Not sure if he'd wear it though, which would defeat the purpose."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hmms and says "Depends on the size probably something small probably but more St. Christopher medal size, than Mr. T size." He hmms and says "What kind of enchants are you thinking about?"

Kit Killovarras has posed:
"Energy disruption or displacement, mostly." Kit admits, giving a little shrug. "Something to help keep him safe from other Mages." After a moment, he gets up and goes to get himself a drink from one of the soda fountains. "something practical but cute."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, his head a bit to this and says "Well, if your going to do it, do you need someone to make the necklace and then you do your magic into it, or do you magic it up from the ground up all in one " He wiggles his fingers to simulate magic.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit gives Sam a glance for a moment, then gives a little grin as he explains, "I'm not an enchanter. I'd need to call in a favor to get it made. But typically, enchanted items are made with the enchantment folded into the materials."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods a bit and says "Well, then the next question is do you have the time and such you needed to get it done? I am not sure how long it takes to get these things done.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit nods, moving back to flomp back down on the bean bag chair. "It only takes about a week to make, so I should have time. I just need to figure out what sort of enchantments my uncle would be capable of placing, see if he could do it or if I need to go searching for someone who can."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "And if you plan on making other people magical things you might need to hurry, figure out how many magical and how many normal gifts you want to get., You don't have to get everyone things just those you feel you want to and are special to you.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit sips his drink, studying Sam for a moment before he gives a little chuckle, "I was thinking of getting a Coin of Saint Raphael made for Shannon, though I'm not certain if I could get it enchanted the way I was planning. I don't know enough about her powers sadly." Then he gives a playful little grin and adds, "Not telling you what I'm planning for you though. Would ruin the surprise."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie chuckles a bit and says "Well what do you need to know about her powers, Ah might be able to help, I was one of the folks been with her since the get go of her joining." He tells the other man. "I will admit am still trying to figure the right thing for you."

Kit Killovarras has posed:
"I was thinking of getting the coin enchanted as a focusing lens, see if I can have something made that could amplify her healing power by reducing the amount of energy she needs to expend. But honestly I don't know enough about how her gift works." Then he gives Sam a glance again and gives a little shrug, "I'm easy, just anything sturdy that I can fiddle with."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hmms and nods his head a bit to this and says "It might work, but it could be dangerous. The basics of her powers is she takes your damage onto herself and then heals it. So I could see an issue where if it not only amplifies her healing of you if it went wrong could amplify the damage she takes.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit gives a little nod and explains, "That's why if I were to have it enchanted, it would likely be further down the line, when I know more about her." He chuckles quietly and adds, "Last thing I'd want to do is give her a gift that could hurt her.."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods a bit and says "Or you could give her it with the knowing you have to take her with you to have it made, so it is best fit for her, and would not do her wrong."

Kit Killovarras has posed:
There's a moment of pause from the Aardwolf before he gives a little nod and chuckles. "That would actually serve more that one purpose too, give her a little insight into the world I come from." he says with a little grin. "Since both her and Jax are fairly insistent on continuing to work with me, even after the assassination attempt.."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "The incident with the magic sword wielder? " He will ask and says "That is one thing about friends, specially ones from around here, they are not going to run from danger, they normally going to pull closer trying to help you when that comes into play.""

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit nods and sighs quietly, "Yeah.. that one." he says, his ears splaying out a little as he adds, "And yeah, I get that.. Problem with that is, I don't know how to deal with having other people around.. I was too afraid to even try to fight during that attack.."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to him, and says "Ok, you have had incidents with Shannon around before aint you? Something about gun runners or something?" He asks a brow raised. "Were you afraid to act then?"

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Again, another long pause and Kit just sort of glances away before admitting, "Honestly? Yes.. It's why one of them got away.. If she hadn't been there, I would have run him down, immobilized him and made sure every one of those people were taken by the police." Then he looks back to Sam, studying him for a moment before he states, "I'm a much different person when I fight.. When I let myself slip into that mindset."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hmms and says "Ok, tell me what scared you, is it that your friends will get hurt, or that they will not like you if they see you fighting?"

Kit Killovarras has posed:
"A little of both, honestly.." Kit says with a sigh, tilting his head a little as he explains, "Everyone tries to tell me that I'm not a monster and most of the time? I'm not.. But they haven't seen me fight. They don't know half of what I'm capable of, or how badly I've hurt the people I hunt." he looks at his paw, more accurately he looks at his claws as he explains, "I never let them suffer for too long, I always do what I can to heal them before the authorities arrive, but.. My magic isn't gentle by any stretch of the imagination.. I actually have to be very careful not to do more to someone than I can fix."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to the other man, and sets the tablet down and walks over to sit closer to talk. "We have had a few people who have had some harsh sides of them in fights. One of them being someone your not a fan of. It can be a bit scary but have you considered talking to Jax, and Shannon about it?"

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit curls up up, pulling his knees up to his chest and rests his chin on his knees as he nods. "I've actually already talked to Jax about it.. He said he wants to come with me when I go out, but honestly? I don't believe it's what he really wants.. I don't think it's what either of them really want.." his eyes half-close as he sighs, growling quietly for a moment before he sighs and muses, "Both of them have the choice to live normal lives.. Both of them have a chance to change the world without having to fight.. And instead, they're going to follow me and risk their lives to do something they don't have to do."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over to him and says "And why do you think they have more chance for it than you? Ah mean Ah understand me, and Shannon may get away a bit cause of the look of an angle, but Ah don't see why you and Jax have different potential

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit actually scoffs quietly and looks to Sam, tilting his head a little as he asks, "Seriously?" Then he sighs and explains, "Jax is the son of a famous athlete.. He comes from a wealthy family and already has more options than I do just on that alone.." Yup, there is a point to be made here about how money and fame can open doors that would otherwise be closed permanently for people like them. "On top of that?" He suddenly bares his teeth for a moment, revealing his teeth and more specifically, his fangs. But regardless of the look, there's no anger in what he says next, letting his lips fall back into place as he explains. "Jax is a house cat.. People see him and wonder what it would be like to pet him.. I'm a hyena, most people can't see past my fangs because of the stigma surrounding what I am."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to him, and says "Ok, well first off your talking to a guy who had to work in the coal mines to help support his family when he was sixteen years old, yea, I have had help Berto bought the place, but with hard work, you can be what you want to be. So while money helps trust me I know it but set your mind to it and you can overcome it." He tells him. As for him being a cat versus you being a hyena, I aint sure a lot will see a difference, but the best way to work on that is you work on showing folks your a good person and helping out. Also for the money thing I know where you can find basic work while ya figure what ya want to do.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
"That's the thing," Kit says with a little chuckle, looking to Sam with those mismatched eyes of his as he states, "This is what I want to do.." rather bluntly. "I've always wanted to help people and I do what I can to help the ones that nobody else will.." Then he gives a little shrug and grabs his drink, taking another sip before explaining, "When I go out at night, I don't just go out to hunt.. I've been bringing supplies to homeless camps pretty much every chance I get, helping the people society ignores to get back on their feet again.."

Samuel Guthrie looks to the other man and says "And through that you will have people looking at you different. You make a difference in how people see you." He tells the other man "So sounds like you may not think you have as many chances, you are working on making yourself more and more everyday.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit nods slightly and chuckles, "That's the plan.. Show the world that people like us aren't all monsters to be feared.." Then he gives a little shrug and a faint smile. "Shannon and Jax have already had a lot of doors opened for them.. I'm just starting to. The fact that I'm here," he says with a motion of one hand to.. well, everything around him. "Was the first door that got opened for me. It gave me somewhere to stay, rather than having to survive on the streets.. Helped me meet some of my closest friends and it gives me somewhere where I can seek help when I need it.."

Kit pauses in his thoughts for a moment, thinking something over before he continues. "Now, I'm opening as many doors as I can for other people.. Whether by protecting them from those who would prey on them, or by giving them ways to change their own lives. Starting at the bottom is dangerous though."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head a bit and says "I understand we have had different things to over come, but I understand again, I will help how ever I can.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit just smiles and nods, giving a simple little, "Thank you.." before killing off the rest of his drink and standing up again. "Just, try and understand that there's a reason why I don't ask for help when I'm out at night?" He gives a little chuckle, then heads over to grab a bit more soda, adding, "I will seek help though, next time I get into a situation I can't handle.. I don't want a repeat of what happened to Jack." And that's a name he doesn't say too often! It's not the name of a student either.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie 's brow raises and will ask "something you feel up to sharing?" He asks the young man, giving him the chance to tell the story or not. Sam does make a mental note to maybe ask Logan to talk to the kid.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit just shrugs and muses, "Probably something you already heard about.. It was on the news." with a tilt of his head. "First mutant I wound up fighting.. I saw him beating the snot out of someone and stepped in. Turned out, his power was some kind of kinetic shield. Even after I had him on the ground and beaten, he wouldn't stop fighting. He got me to use my power so much that it was putting my life at risk and my body responded by triggering a power I didn't know I had.." He shudders a little and sighs as he sits back down. "Broke his back in a couple places.. Put him in a coma too. We both nearly died that day.. I went to find him after I recovered and helped bring him out of the coma, but it left him paralyzed.. I've been trying to find a way to help him walk again ever since."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over to the man and nods frowning a bit and says "Have you thought about asking Shannon to help?" He asks the other young man.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit nods slightly and frowns, "Too much risk.." he says, no hesitation in the words. "If she slipped and even took on a tiny bit of his injuries, it could mean two people I've left paralyzed.. Not just one."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to him and says "She would possibly be for a bit but her healing should heal it. I can understand your worry but I also know her I wager she will try if she finds out.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit just chuckles and nods, "Why do you think I don't talk about it much?" he asks with a tilt of his head. "I keep in contact with him though. Maybe some day I'll take her to see him, give her a chance to try.. But for the moment? I'd rather see if there are any... Safer, options.."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head a bit to this and says "How did you and he get to a point where you could talk if I may ask."

Kit Killovarras has posed:
"Kinda hard to do anything but talk when you're paralyzed.." Kit says with a half-hearted chuckle. "He came to pretty quick after me and Lars pulled him out of the coma.. I didn't have time to leave before he noticed me."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hmms and nods his his head a bit, and says "Well I would have thought there might have been bitterness you had to get past."

Kit Killovarras has posed:
"That's actually the weirdest part.." Kit says with a little laugh. "I thought he would hate me for what I did to him.. But when he came to, he was just as worried about me as I was about him.. He's a good guy, he just went down a pretty dark road for a bit." He gives a shrug and looks to Sam with a bit of a smile. "It's why I still want to help him.. No one should ever have to suffer like that for making a mistake."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods a bit and says "Where is he paralyzed from?" He will ask, and says "And do you want to make amends to the store owner?"

Kit Killovarras has posed:
"He's paralyzed due to multiple spinal fractures as far as I'm aware.." Kit says, then laughs a little about the store owner and adds, "I already have, sort of.. I went back when I could and helped with repairs as well as I could.. Even payed for some of the damages."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods a bit and says "Neck down?" as he seems to be thinking a bit.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit shakes his head after a moment of thought, "Lower.. He can still use his arms, it's his legs that don't seem to work at this point."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head a bit to this and says "Well we might be able to get him some work, will have to see if there is anything at the club he can do, is he still in the hospital or out?"

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit shakes his head and smiles. "Nah, he was able to go home pretty soon after. I've caught up with him at the hospital a few times when his family brought him in though. As far as I know, he's doing pretty well, all things considered."

Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "Well I will look into it to see if there is a way we can help him more.
