Batman has posed:
Gotham City.

Arguably among the most highly-fluctuating cities in the world when it comes to a single statistic: crime. The criminal element in gotham was particularly ruthless, with multiple large gangs vying for majority power. What kept them at bay were a combination effort of police and people willing to do the right thing. In front of them were the vigilantes of the Dark City.

Vigilantes such as the Dark Knight.

The beacon hit the sky like a piercing light, in a way that against the background of shadows and darkness, it appears as though the sun had risen. It wasn't just a call for Batman to appear or for the Dark Knight to arrive at a certian point. To the criminal element, to the darkness in the streets?

It was a warning.

The Batman was on the prowl.

In fact, he was standing over a diamond exchange. Watching. Waiting. He monitered police frequencies thorugh some kind of holographic computer built into one of his gauntlets. Direct connection to the Batcomputer was always a plus. For the moment though, the Bat stood alone.

Black Cat has posed:
Black Cat had been planning to scout the place for a later break-in. Tonight had been a possibility, but the signal in the sky and some of the other conditions (notably, it was so darn chilly), meant that it wasn't ideal cat burglaring weather. Still, she was in town and had her suit out, thermally lined enough to keep the worst of the cold off.

Onlyt o discover that there's already a Batman overlooking the exchange. Maybe the fence who'd tried to hire her was too loose-lipped. Or maybe the diamonds were a honey trap meant to lure in cat-themed burglars.

"You know, I always figured Batman was a small little fuzzy thing. Like a bat. But you're a tall drink of dark water, aren't you, mister?" she says, crouching at the edge of the rooftop, her thick white hair framing her masked face above her distracting and deliberate decolletage.

Batman has posed:
Batman wasn't expected to be complimented.

There were many theories about Batman. Sure, he's been seen with the Justice League. But to do what he does and keep doing what he does as well as he does? It has to be something superhuman. He's been surmised to be everything from a vampire to a demon. Instead, he's just a guy in some kickass armor with even better training.

Yet, Batman finds himself....almost charmed by the Black Cat.

"Black Cat. You're a long way from New York." Batman informs her, watching her. Her thick white hair covers much of her face. Her uniform even was revealing, though it looks like that was the intention. She might be trying to sway him.

Black Cat has posed:
Black Cat rests her forearms loosely across her knees, her legs poised to spring if he tried to snatch her up. Yes, The Batman had a fearsome reputation, mythical in his own right. The Cat's reputation was more mixed, showing her to be both adept and a little scandalous at times.

"A girl's allowed to travel. You don't even need to a passport to get into Gotham. I hear the slums are lovely this time of year," she says.

Batman has posed:
Batman watches the Black Cat. He may give chase. Her reputation may have been mixed, but it was one to recognize and prepare for at the very least. She had caused some serious damage to multiple banks and heist jobs, though rarely was any of it because of her direct involvement.

She may have metahuman powers that could come into play here.

"Not so much. Too dangerous to be out alone." He was out alone, though he was the reasons criminals stay inside. She might try and bolt. "Why are you here, Black Cat? You tend not to be so close to a high-value area like diamond exchanges without purpose."

Black Cat has posed:
Black Cat faux-blushes, "Aw, I'm flattered that you've done your research on me, Batman. It makes a girl feel all warm and tingly inside," she says with a hint of a purr, catching her plump bottom lip with the tip of a clawed gauntlet in a cheesecake pose.

"I just wanted to get a little exercise, that's all. See the sights. Some people like tourist traps. I like expensive vaults filled with jewelry. A little window shopping, that's all. No laws broken tonight, I promise," she winks.

"Anyway, don't you have some crazy person dressed like a fairy tale character to catch tonight? Instead of bothering pretty girls on cold rooftops?"

Batman has posed:
She's trying.

Batman notices how she catches her bottom lip with her clawed gauntlet, how she mentions some exercise. Bruce has an apparent weakness for cat-themed women. Just ask Selena. But Batman is keeping his composure and his cool - for now.

"You won't be breaking and entering tonight, Cat." Batman states as if it were a law. "At the moment, that person is you." Since she -is- dressed in a catsuit.

Black Cat has posed:
Black Cat smiles broadly, "Wearing an outfit on a rooftop is hardly a crime, though. Else you'd have to arrest yourself. And all of the other...associates you have," she says. "So many boys. I believe the slang term for that is a 'sausagefest'. Your cave must smell like a locker room," she teases.

She pushes up to her feet and strolls a little bit to the side, putting herself in rather lush and voluptuous profile, "Is this the part where you warn me to keep my nose clean, else you'll smack it really hard?" she says in a playful voice.

Batman has posed:
Robin, Red Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Batwoman.

Batman knows exactly what she's talking about in terms of costumed associates. Batman often worked alone, but in times of need, he has even taken on proteges to teach and help them grow. But this wasn't that kind of situation. He doesn't reply to talk of a cave, information that will remain secret it appears.

Despite her voluptuous profile, it will appear that it will take more than that to sway the Dark Knight. "It's my warning that this city can and will eat you alive if you're not careful." Batman states with no small amount of indifference in his tone. Of course, this odd game of flirting is apparently being permitted to continue. Though Batman looks as if he's prepared to give chase to her.

Black Cat has posed:
Black Cat puts her hands on her hips, "And who's going to do the eating, Batman? You?"

She steps a bit more close to him, a little boldly, swaying her hips a bit. "Your teeth don't look so sharp to me. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure you're dangerous. But, then, so am I," she says.

"But be careful if you do try to get a piece of me. Black cats bring bad luck."

Batman has posed:
"If I have to."

Batman's voice was neutral, his eyes watching her even as she starts to boldly sway her hips and start making her move towards him. He doesn't move. In fact, it's hard to tell exactly what he's thinking to begin with. Though he doesn't back away from her.

"Don't get ahead of yourself."

Batman warns her, though not in uncomfortable desperation. More like he's a computer telling her that her 'luck' goes both ways. "Bad luck." Batman repeats. "That's how your abilities work. You change the probabilities of events. Potentially subconsciously."

Black Cat has posed:
Black Cat sighs and blows her breath out, making some of that snow-white hair billow, "Yes, yes, all the technicalities. I know how the powers work, but it takes all the mystery and fun out if it when you just say it like that," she teases.

She turns back towards the edge, balancing easily along the lip on the tips of her toes. "Do you have any fun powers? Can you fly? Can you see in the dark with sonar? Do you hang upside down by your toenails?"

Batman has posed:
Batman is no simp, as the kids these days would call it.

He explains her powers, putting some of his natural detective skills to good use. He watches her even as she seems a little dismayed at him undoing her mystery. He says nothing regarding how her powers work further, and instead he approaches where she stands on the edge. He doesn't answer her about his potential abilities or powers.

"You'll have to find out to know for sure."

Black Cat has posed:
Black Cat casually leans forward and plants her hands, doing a handstand and facing towards him, "You're not tricking me into taking the first shot, mister. I'm not even a violent person by nature. Just a kitty cat who likes pretty things and money. Now what's wrong with that? The people I take from even have insurance. It's really a victimless crime, if you think about it. Except the insurance companies and who really cares about t hem?"

"Oh no. Is that your secret, Batman? Are you...an insurance man underneath that suit?"

Batman has posed:
Batman doesn't reply to anything about his secret identity or who he is underneath the cowl. In fact, he gives her no hints at all, practically. Instead, he simply starts to turn and move away from her, as if to walk over to the other side of the ledge, two fingers lifted to the 'ear' of his cowl as if to listen in closely to something.

Joker broke out of Arkham.

"Don't steal any diamonds."

If Black Cat had turned to face him? Batman was gone. It could have gone worse, really. Black Cat could've been attacked by the Dark Knight. Must mean he likes her.
