Kit Killovarras has posed:
The night is nice and warm, the summer air filters through the trees and a faint, cool breeze comes off of the lake - or perhaps across it. Somewhere among the camp sites is a yeen, dressed in little more than a pair of shorts, enjoying the scenery of the site he's chosen.

From here he has a decent view of the lake, the light of the stars from the clear night sky reflecting off the water. A small fire burns off to the side of him in the fire pit and though the demure flames might be much smaller than some would enjoy, Kit doesn't seem to mind the lack of excessive light.

The yeen isn't hard to find out here when he's relaxing, especially in the dark given the fact that his eyes glow with a dull, purple light within the darkness. The fact that he's singing would likely help too, especially since the aardwolf's voice can typically carry quite far.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie was flying over head, some might think it is a comet, but this comet is a bit small and common around this area. As he sees the fire, he will come towards it, dampening the sound of his blast to not come in roaring, once he is close enough seeing it is Kit, he will offer a nod in greeting as he comes to land a bit away from the first to not disturb it.

Kit follows the comet with his gaze when he notices it, watching Sam fly in and giving a little wave and a warm smile as the man comes in for a landing. "Hey Mr. Guthrie." Kit chimes with a little chuckle. "Enjoying the night?" There's a little tilt of his head as he asks that, though the movement is rather normal for the yeen, especially when asking questions.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie makes a shrugging motion a bit "Not a bad night." Sam has been a bit distant for the past couple months, but he has kept making sure things were taking care of, and that the studies and classes for the students were kept up to date. Acting a bit more like Scott at times than himself but at least still about.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
That smile never really fades, though probably because the yeen seems strangely comfortable outside, especially at night. He just gives a little nod and muses, "This place is beautiful at night. So many smells and so many creatures seem to come to life here." There's a little pause as he looks back out to the lake, getting a little lost in the sight as he adds. "It reminds me of home a little, though weirdly enough, I'm starting to prefer the trees being around to the openness of the desert.."

Then he gives another glance to Sam and asks, "Is something going on at the school? I haven't seen many of the staff or teachers lately."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie shakes his head and says "Na nothing out of the usual there, just a few of them have been having to deal with some things at the same time, more coming up at once than normally but not enough to be anything truly odd." He tells then young man. He looks out over the lake and smiles faintly "Yea, Ah remember sneaking out here and going skinny dipping at times."

Kit Killovarras has posed:
One of the yeens ears fold to the side a little at the mention of skinny dipping and he just sort of gives an almost wicked grin. "Great minds think alike, huh?" he says with a little laugh, then gives a little stretch before reaching over and tossing a few sticks into the fire from a pile of sticks, twigs and larger pieces of bark.

Apparently he knows how to keep a fire alive, but small enough that it isn't too noticeable from far away.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over and says "Well if you find any alien sentient boulders come tell me don't go off trying to figure it out on your own or with ya friends." He offers a smile.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
There's a moment of pause and Kit actually fully turns to study the man for a moment at that comment, musing, "Why do I get the feeling there's a story behind that statement?" curiously. Then he offers a little shrug and adds, "You know, if you want to sit for a while, I wouldn't mind the company."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie chuckles a a bit more, and says "Oh there is a story, and a few folks hopefully you will get to meet sometime. " He moves too sit "Started with me and Berto out here swimming while the girls were having a sleep over. Saw something coming in hot and landed in the lake. I got behind it and got it out and Berto carried it home.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit just laughs and nods. "Well, that's the first mistake I guess." he says with a little shrug. "I learned a long time ago not to mess with things that fall out of the sky.. Though probably for an entirely different reason I'd wager." He's still watching Sam, ears perked forward and listening intently when he asks, "Then what happened?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Well it started developing these tentacles, that started hooking up to the mansion and draining the power, we fought it a bit the girls joining in, but we realized we might be able to communicate with it, so Ah went and got a friend who was not a student then, and brought him in to help. Doug can speak and read any language. He does not mention he probably should have stopped to put on something more than his towel."

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit just nods. "Being able to speak any language sounds like a hell of an ability. Wonder if he'd be able to decipher some of the older languages." he muses to himself, then gives a little smile. "Anyhow, did you guys manage to communicate with it?"

The yeen seems rather interested in the story and it shows through the fact that his ears are still perked towards Sam and his tail has even started to wag a little.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods and pulls his wallet out and an old picture of the New Mutants when they were young. "Yea, it was warlock, you may have seen him in some of the class photos." He shows the picture to Kit "The blonde guy next to him is Doug."

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit studies the photo for a few moments, then gives a nod and chuckles. "Weird.. So wait, the alien rock thing wound up becoming a member of your team?" There's a momentary pause and a tilt of his head, once again looking to study the photo.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "Lock is a mutant of his race, and he was looking for help when he came in. He can change his shape, and basicly looked like a rock to travel through space easier."
