A burger break

Location:	Fred's Diner - Mutant Town
Synopsis:	Tommy and Kim have a burger and discuss old friends and Super Mario!

Pink Ranger has posed:
It had been a long day! Her most recent trip for gymnastics had kept Kimberly busy, but the stopoff in Canada had at least enabled her to visit Trini for a catchup and a hangout!

With her break intended she'd scheduled herself a little downtime now that she was back in the states and after a quick text to a certain man in green? She'd settled down to a coffee as she awaited in the Diner.

Green Ranger has posed:
Tommy Oliver had thought about coming in uniform, but considering it was a diner, he thought better of it. Instead, he arrived wearing a stretchy, synthetic fibre t-shirt, which was tight across his chest, biceps, and seemed to be perfectly tailored to him. That was the benefit of having a good physique and a stretchy shirt. It moulded itself to his body. Below that, he had on black jeans, with a brown leather belt, and silver belt buckle. Below that, black socks, and brown boots. When he arrived at the diner, he took a look around, caught Kimberly's eye, and made his way, sliding into the space opposite her in the booth, "hello Kim, thanks for the invite, I'm starved, what's good here?"

Pink Ranger has posed:
"Depends if you're feeling sweets or not," Kim offers as he slides into the booth, her hand taking his and a lazy little kiss offer on his knuckles. "The pie smells pretty good, but I'm thinking of being bad and getting some fries and a burger. What do you think?"

A beat, she gives a little 'oh' in thought. "Trini says Hi by the way. She'll be back in town sometime soon we hope."

Green Ranger has posed:
He held her hand in his, and smiled at the press of her lips to his knuckles. "I like pie," he said, making eye contact with her, though he shook his head, clearing it, at the mention of the burger and fries, and was that bad? "I could actually do with a burger and fries myself, but pie, if it's pecan, that'd be hard to resist. So much food..." Pausing, "really, been a while since I last saw her. I hope she's doing well."

Pink Ranger has posed:
"Our night at the bar with her Ex was a...thing, but it was still prompting enough to make sure I gave her a call since I was headed over there. Was just like old times..."

Trailing off, the girl gives a little grin. "So, how about a burger each and we split the fries then?"

Green Ranger has posed:
"Don't remind me," he said, thing was right. It was so awkward, yet the other man hadn't seemed to notice their obvious discomfort, which itself was concerning. Smiling at the talk of old times, "we really do need to make a point of spending time with the others. I can't remember the last time I saw Zack or Billy, which means it's way past time we caught up." They could talk all night about the core group of friends that formed the power rangers, but when it turned back to the meal, "if you think you can finish a whole burger," he winked at her, teasingly.

Pink Ranger has posed:
A giggle, she nods her head. "We should visit Jason's dojo...if you can avoid challenging him to a sparring match long enough for me to say hi..." she points out, grinning a little as she signals to order. "I'm sure -someone- will finish it."

Green Ranger has posed:
"I think I can avoid it that long." He said with a knowing smile, he could even go days without challenging Jason to a sparring match. He knew he was the better fighter. He also knew that Jason thought otherwise. He was content with that knowledge. When they did spare, Tommy usually went easy on him. He hadn't actually gone full out since he was controlled by Rita Repulsa, and back then, he beat all five of the other Power Rangers by himself. That scared him. He was always in some level of control because of it. "And you're right, of course." He had no problem finishing her leftovers. "Just promise to help me burn it off... if I'm not going to sparr with Jason, that is."

Pink Ranger has posed:
A grin, she leans in at his last comment and she tilts her head to the side. "Y'never know. We all are great at learning from things, and we've all learned a lot...me included." A wink, his last request brought a little nod as she placed her order and then settled back to sip at her coffee. "So...what have you been up to while I've been jumping off things?"

Green Ranger has posed:
"Learning things, dare I ask what?" He replied, grin firmly planted upon his lips. He would place his order, and she was seemingly saved from having to explain that one. He went with a double bacon cheeseburger, which meant two patties, with mayo and barbecue sauce, and a side of each for dipping the fries. He opened his mouth, ready to answer her question, though he blushed a little at his own unspoken answer, and he was now the one being saved, as the waitress came back to ask him how he'd like his burger cooked, "uh, medium rare, thanks. Oh, and no ice with my drink, please." He had ordered a Coke to go with it. Then turning back to Kimberly, he asked, "what did you think of the new Mario film?"

Pink Ranger has posed:
Kimberly just grins, but she doesn't bother to answer until she finally waited for the waitress to bring their food over and she shrugs. "Mmmn, haven't managed to see it yet. Between the comp and catching up with Trini. Guess you'll have to take me to it now that I'm back, huh?" A pause, there's a grin from the Ranger. "I like Peach's fashion sense?"

Green Ranger has posed:
"Have to is the wrong term. Get to is more like it. And I love Peach, even if I kind of always wanted her to end up with Luigi. He's taller, and has better fashion sense, don't you think?" He undid his napkin, laying it in his lap, and dug into his burger, biting, chewing, swallowing, and only then speaking more. "You ever think of dressing up as Peach for Halloween? Though, I'd hate to see you get captured."

Pink Ranger has posed:
"I mean...technically you're the dragon..." she teases back lightly, gently drawing a little pointing accusation at him with a fry. "Should I be watching and waiting to see if you're planning to kidnap me and sweep me off to some castle somewhere?"

Green Ranger has posed:
He made a soft roar sound, which sounded more like a cute little kitten, as he was trying not to make a scene that the other patrons might pick up on. "Okay, promise never to repeat that to anyone." He smiled and chuckled at his own expense, "you know, Peach gets captured a lot... ever thought that Bowser might be really good company, that she likes it?"

Pink Ranger has posed:
A little laugh, a shrug of her shoulders and a small bite of her fries before she considers for a moment. "I mean...I had considered it. He does take her a lot of places. Of course, that's not counting the times spent dangling over a lava pit."

Green Ranger has posed:
"Yeah, but how do we know that she's dangling there the whole time? They might say to each other, Mario or Luigi is coming, better tie you up. The rest of the time, they could be doing couple things, like Netflix and Chill. It takes the Mario Bros a long time to find her, so they could be doing all kinds of things. And I've never once seen any scratches or marks on her. Her dress isn't even torn."

Pink Ranger has posed:
"I feel like there's a fanfic in there, or a story, or a sitcom in there somewhere. Maybe that's why there's always 'another castle'?" She turns to take a bite of her burger before looking up at Tommy. "So that's what you're promising? A fun and comfy kidnapping?"

Green Ranger has posed:
"If that's what you want," he said, winking as he bite again into his burger, "of course, I could always tie you up, then go say hi to Trini." He was of course teasing, but he was baiting to see how she might react. Hopefully not with a French fry flying at his head. Or ten.

Pink Ranger has posed:
A laugh, a roll of her eyes and...she leans in towards Tommy now, raising an eyebrow. "Oh Tommy, how nice of you to be paying for lunch today." Yep, that was the start of the punishment right there as she took another bite of her burger.

Green Ranger has posed:
Tommy had no problem paying for lunch. He was doing okay, between a part time job, and a scholarship. Plus, it was Kim. There was nothing he wouldn't do for her. "My pleasure," he said, close to finishing his own burger by now. He had been really hungry, plus she was eating most of the fries.

Pink Ranger has posed:
"C'mon then," she offers as she, as predicted, doesn't seem to have finished her burger completely and instead sets it down before making to stand. "Lets go back to your castle Koopa King. I could use some time relaxing with netflix and good company anyway."

With that, and a grin, she was headed for the door.
