Synopsis: Sin explains what spooked him in the Vault pub and hotel, Dublin. And he and Lucifer decide to buy a castle, because why not.
Cast of Characters: Lucifer, Sinister

Lucifer has posed:
Lucifer pays his tab and then leaves the bar. He knows Nathaniel didn't go to the hotel room. So he meanders into the shadows himself and waits until he's out of anyone's eyesight before letting his wings flare and takes off to the skies. That mental link between him and Nathaniel will come into play here as he'll have to use it in order to find out where the man went.
Sinister has posed:
Distance is relative, always. But it's negligable when you can fly at the speeds some are capable of. Into the benighted cloud cover of Dublin, the light of various streets below paints their undersides orange. And along the coastline, for the Irish sea is not always a kind mistress, lighthouses play across the waves -- there are a cluster around Dublin because of its shape, but the direction he went in? Aah, there.

The great big red pillbox one, jutting out into the main harbour.

These things are mostly automated these days, with one controller in a computer-festooned room making sure that the oscillations are correct, likely manning several from one central hub. So, nobody pays any mind, except a roosting seagull or two, to the man that landed on top of it and is staring out over the dark waters.

He sat down at least, wrapping arms around his knees, brooding over the top of them with tension around his eyes. They're not really looking at 'here' as opposed to 'there' and 'then'.
Lucifer has posed:
Hovering is a thing. Then again, so is walking on water. Though he doesn't think Nathaniel should risk falling into the ocean but he can stand there next to the buoy just fine.

"Why has this one jostled you so much? Surely others have recognized you from your past..." Lucifer asks, pretty much point blankly as it may seem. Though there's a tenderness to his words over all, he's going to just rip the bandaind off this one and let the wound seep until it's drained.
Sinister has posed:
Sometimes, that's the best approach. Get it over with, right?

"Because as close as I could fathom, he came to end me that night. And instead, spared me. /And/ I did not know him at all, there were remarkable... problems with my recall. Not to mention, his perception must be very keen, as he looked on the human and saw Sinister, as I was in Auschewitz. That's where he saw me, love. Auschewitz -- and he still greeted me with what was effectively a spit in the eye, because as I recall, the night he came and ended one guard'sman to take his uniform and find -me-... was one of the times I was doing something good in my dark existence." The sea churns, crashes on the breakers. But the sea, however turbulent, calms Nathaniel Essex.

Maybe that too, is something in the blood. His father served in Trafalgar.
Lucifer has posed:
Lucifer takes a breath, looking out over the waves as they crash around. He listens and realizes he really has nothing to say. What is there to say? At least he didn't succeed? "Was it because you were doing something good that made him hesitate? Not take you out?" There. He asks that much more, perhaps to get a better understanding of it. A glance is given upwards towards the skies, perhaps to see if he could view the stars or not. "I've got nothing else in my mind to say or ask or even do to help quell your mind... but I am here... for whatever that may be worth."
Sinister has posed:
"I don't know. Probably. They say that all is fair in love and war, but that's usually said by the poetic, from a safe distance. When you're there, in the thick of it, you can quite easily find out what kind of a person you actually are. I don't think my motivations were particularly stellar-- but they were enough to stop him. Maybe what -he- saw, was someone saving who they could. Whereas what was happening, was someone saving those that shouldn't be ended. It set everything in stark contrast tonight," Sinister sighs softly, looks on the darkness of the water for a few long moments more, then across his bicep to the floating archangel.

And here and there, the skies paint the blue black with stars, sparkling like diamonds in the dark.

"It means a lot that you're there. I know I'm difficult when I'm having a mindstorm."
Lucifer has posed:
"Difficult is a harsh word, my love. Though I suppose it's also true to some degree. I think the hardest part is knowing when you want to be left alone and when I should follow." Lucifer confesses. "Though, that's usually determined by whether or not I can find you. You often shut me out when you want to be truly alone..." This much more said before he produces two cigarettes, lighting them up and offering one to Nathaniel. "But I will always be there, whenever you are ready to need me..."
Sinister has posed:
The smoke is taken with a small smile. Of a sudden, against a sky backlit by bombshells in the distance and the cigarette a roll-up. Sin in his truest shape, pale and coalflame red of eye, outlined against that reddened horizon in a faded trench coat. And then, he's dressed like a U2 groupie again, looking far more the man. And the cigarette is better quality as it's placed to his lips. Ahhh, the potency of memory.

"I don't mean to shut you out and I haven't in a long while. You can always find me. We're connected, no matter where we are. We don't even have to be in the same plane of reality. It's more... I have to find the words, sometimes."
Lucifer has posed:
Lucifer nods. "Just as I don't mean to shut you out, and I know there have been times when I have. It's a curse and a blessing. Thinking we need to be strong and deal with our issues when in truth we're stronger together." He takes a pull off that smoke, flickes ashes into an unforgiving ocean. "You about done lamenting down memory lane? I think if we get back we can still order some room service and just lounge in the hotel room for a little while." Or they can stay here if Nathaniel wishes it, he's just tossing out options.
Sinister has posed:
"I know you booked a room here, but... could we possibly find a different hotel? I do not feel comfortable, as questioning might well let Professor Heenan know where we're staying. I've been all kinds of triggered, my dearest," Sinister contemplates the little cherry in the dark, turns it in his grip. Another deep drag is taken, the salty air refreshing even on a summer night. The spray occasionally stings where the wind catches it. There's also a soft snort. "Also, I'd hardly call this particular moment a lament. There's very little woe is me here and a whole lot of is he going to decide that discretion wasn't the better part of valour."
Lucifer has posed:
"He decides that and he's going to find himself in a world of trouble. I don't care if he's some ages old has been... you're under my protection... I will end him." Lucifer states. Full stop. Then he smiles. "Of course we can stay somewhere else, that's not an issue at all..." He pulls out his phone, raises a brow, and then leans a little closer towards Nathaniel until he gets a strong enough signal. "Next thing you know we're going to own property on every single continent and island country in the world just because we can..."
Sinister has posed:
"And that's a bad thing? Oh. Now I have the distinct urge to buy a castle. They have them for sale here," Sinister absorbs the information like a sponge. <<I just hope you can. He's Nick's great Uncle or somesuch thing, near as I can figure out. The Phantasm is in the blood. And we know they can rewrite reality.>> And that too, is part of why he's so spooked.
Lucifer has posed:
"No. Not at all. I was almost afraid you would call me crazy or something...but if you want to go look at castles... then we'll go look at castles. For sale. And buy one." Lucifer says this much and then chuckles a little. "That will be fun, I think.." He says this much more before wiggling in his space and finishes his cigarette. "And tomorrow, we shall have Irish food a-plenty...cause if we're here on the Emerald Isle, we might as well bloody enjoy it.:
