Location:	New Hope Shelter, East Harlem
Synopsis:	A donation to a shelter becomes a business proposal and the first steps to a new charity organization being born!

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Warehouse full of people in need? Yeah, this is the sort of place that would eventually get the attention of a particular Aardwolf and as the day draws on, closing in on dinner hours it seems that today's the day it has.

It might seem unnerving to some when the door to the shelter opens and several boxes seem to simply wander in of their own accord, carried by some unseen force and behind them by only a few yards is the massive, slender figure of Kit. He hasn't hidden what he looks like today, so it's likely to be a coin-toss whether or not someone screams at his presence, but those feelings of dread that might be creeping into the minds of some would likely be confronted by the fact that when the boxes settle down and open, there's enough food in them for a fair sized feast!

The boxes contain dozens of cans of food, potted meats and vegetables, soups and stews along with every kind of cracker or biscuit sold in the area. Beneath the food would be layers of clothing in a range of sizes, sheets and blankets that seem to be brand new and several other odds and ends meant for keeping the body healthy and comfortable.

Zeitgeist (Julius) has posed:
Lucius Primus spends most of his time at the Shelter, and he's current typing away on an article for a local newspaper, he cants his head a bit as he looks straight ahead as if beyond the monitor, he whispers, "I'd be grateful for the donation." he says to noone, "I'll be outside in a second." he gets up and pushes back the drape on the seperator from his office and the 'hallway'.

    A mix of homeles folks and the staff members are quick to begin bringing the donation inside. One of them says to the being in the darkness, "Thank you."

Kit Killovarras has posed:
The aardwolf gives a thin smile - careful not to show his teeth - and to each of the homeless who approach to start unpacking? They'd find that the boxes don't need to be unpacked. The boxes open themselves, each item skillfully and swiftly starting to unpack itself and organize the contents.

The 'thank you' though gets an actual response and a simple, "You're very welcome." keeping his voice soft, as per usual. After all, with a stature and form like his? A gentle voice comes in handy.

Zeitgeist (Julius) has posed:
The folks in the homeless are mix of obvious and not so obvious mutants, they are kinda used to the presence of those who don't quite fit the normal mold, though not saying that feeling of survival occassionally crops up when the more 'aggressive' looking folks appear there. Lucius however is not one of these folks, he walks over towards Kit, "Thank you for the donation, and.. the help unpacking too." He smiles, "I'm Lucius Primus, Director of this bit of attempt at a place where all are welcome." He offers hand once he's within conversational range, "Nice to meet you."

When Lucius approaches, Kit shakes the offered hand delicately, almost like he's actively trying not to grip too tightly - a form of overt training that Lucius may be familiar with the fact that he deals with mutants. "Kit Killovarras. It's a pleasure to meet you, Lucius." Then the yeen takes a moment to actually stand tall and look around the building, his ears perking and his nose wiggling for a moment before his mismatched eyes return to Lucius and asks, "So, you fund this yourself or..?" with a curious little tilt of his head.

Lucius Primus provides a good grip as if he's not worried about his hand broken either, "A mix really, I fund alot of it myself and we have donors, and your now on that list." he smirks, a glance to the donations and back to the large form before him, "Do you go by Kit? Thank you again Kit, if you need a place to hang out in, play games, or take a load off for a while, you can stop in any time you'd like."

Kit gives a little nod when Lucius explains that the shelter is mostly self-funded and donation oriented and the aardwolf's smile to widen ever so slightly and when he finally says, "Well, how would you like to be better funded then?"

There's a moment where the tips of his fangs are visible when he asks that, but he doesn't leave it cryptic either, giving little pause before explaining, "I've been looking for a venue to help with a small organization I've been developing. It's an outreach program for at-risk mutant youth that focuses on self discovery and improvement through artistic expression. In exchange, all proceeds from our events would go to helping this and possibly even other shelters like it."

Zeitgeist (Julius) has posed:
Lucius Primus brightens quite a bit, "And the Fates align it seems, It sounds wonderful. I've been looking for folks to align with. I really would like to see all have a chance to succeed in this world, so many don't get a chance or a person to provide a little reinforcement."

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit gives a little nod and looks around to some of the other staff and residents of the shelter, explaining, "I know, I've seen it myself. I lived on the streets myself before a similar group found me and brought me in, so now I do what I can to repay the favor."

There's a small crackle of violet energy across the aardwolf's fur as he looks around a moment longer, then poses a question - not just to Lucius but to the everyone here: "Wouldn't it be beautiful?" He doesn't specify what, just the cryptic question this time but then again, with what happens next, he probably doesn't have to.

A thin veil of energy washes through the entire building, causing the walls and surfaces to shimmer for a moment before they begin to change. The floor to ceiling curtains fade into obscurity as they're replaced with actual walls, decorated plainly enough that it might feel like an empty canvas in every room. Above, catwalks form in the cavernous area above, twisting out from the center of where they appear, platforms forming between them that could be described as a hanging garden of hydroponics for food production. Within moments the warehouse is visibly turned into a veritable paradise.

It's an illusion to be certain, but something about it, in the way he presents it to everyone instead of just Lucius? It's almost like the image holds the weight of a dream yet to be made reality, or a promise.

When the illusion is forming, Kit gives Lucius a warm smile and states, "All I ask in return? Is a place to bring people who are in need and hands willing to help make this a reality."

Zeitgeist (Julius) has posed:
Lucius Primus looks around a bit at the illusion, but considering his connections to the whole building it's interesting to feel the sensation of each inhabitant as they view the paradise that he assumes Kit has somehow projected, "I've been around a long time and seen the worse of humanity so I do hope we can both see indeed a better place for all. It's a very cool... vision?" he asks of Kit.

Firestar has posed:
The texting draws out a curious red head. She does warn Kit that she is a student who had a benefactor pay her rent for a year, but otherwise has very little in the way of money. Time is available to stop by though, she she does come to the meeting place and looks around for her friend,"Kit?"

Kit Killovarras has posed:
"A promise," Kit explains with a little chuckle when the illusion is mentioned. "One that I made to myself years ago, to help as many people as I possibly can in this life and the way I see it? There's no better place to start than with the people who need it most." and as he speaks, the illusion slowly fades away, leaving the warehouse as it was in the moment before he arrived, though the donations he brought? Those very real objects retain that same shimmer and glow and unlike the walls from before? They can be touched and felt. "Every dream starts somewhere, right?"

Firestar gets a glance and a warm smile as he motions her over, "Hey! glad you could make it." he says with that same, ever-present smile he seems to have lately.

Zeitgeist (Julius) has posed:
Lucius Primus says, "Well, since we are going to be business partners, I guess I can provide you with a little bit insight that many of us do not entirely show our abilities or differences. This may seem a bit odd." If Kit has no mental shields, he'll get the same voice as Lucius speak in his head, Lucius's mouth doesn't move, "I can send messages between folks throughout the city and I simply know when things are occurring throughout... In some ways, I act as the Zeitgeist of City I'm in."
    There is alot of people kinda having a Saturday Evening enjoying the shelter, Big Screen TV or two, some game consoles, and a few folks having some late dinner. Most however are going through the various donated crates of items that Kit has brought as well."

Firestar has posed:
Looking around the place, she grasps the handle of her purse that is resting on her shoulder. She looks a little unsure, but makes her way to where Kit is and tells him,"You called. I'm here."

For her part, anyone trying to look into her mind gets the impression of a closed, locked, and sealed steel door. Well, that or just realizes there's not getting through that head.

Firestar is offered the yeens typical greeting of arms out wide for an offered hug as he asks, "So, you remember me mentioning those music festivals in the park that I help out with?" more setting up the next statement of, "Well, a few of us are starting a non-profit to run charity events and raise funds to help improve shelters like this one."

Meanwhile the telepathy? It might be a shock, or might be expected but when the voice invades his mind there's an instant response: Images would flicker through Lucius' mind of central park at night, of something distant and cloaked in darkness, waiting for an opportunity for something. 'Martyr', it's the only word that can be thought in the moment of the image but it's no simple word; It's a name.

There has been talk for years - if you know where to listen - about a monstrous creature that stalks the park at night, making prey of anyone or anything that would dare harm an innocent on it's turf. Maybe this is him?

Zeitgeist (Julius) has posed:
The images were indeed a shock, usually people don't think of other events elsewhere during a conversation, Lucius pauses a moment, and sort of on auto-pilot, "Yeah Kit here, wants to work together. It sounds like it could be a good match." He mentally speaks back to Kit again, < So that was you? People fear what they don't understand or comprehend. Sorry for this voice in your head. >

Firestar has posed:
A smirk and Angelica takes the offered hug and tells him,"Hey you. It's been a minute." she tells him the obvious. A nod and when she withdraws she tells him,"I remember that yes. Might have to remind me any specifics, but the general idea yes. How can I help you?"

She glances towards Kit's friend with a poite nod, but doesn't engage just yet. She's one to stand a societal paradigms, but might as well be introduced.

Kit chuckles and nods, musing, "Yeah, Jax and I were out riding around the country for a few weeks, so it's been a bit more than a minute." with a little laugh, then something seems to click in that yeens head as the hamster decides to skid to a stop and change direction? Then the yeen scratches at the back of his head and gives a sheepish grin as he adds, "Oh right, manners."

"Angelica, this is Lucius, director here at New Hope." he explains in fairly short order, paws fumbling ever so slightly with a few motions, "Lucius, this is Angelica, a dear friend and hopefully," there's a pause and a glance to Angelica as he finishes the thought, "One of the head members of our group? I still need someone to head security, we'll need a stage coordinator and a few other less public jobs if you'd prefer, too."

Zeitgeist (Julius) has posed:
Lucius Primus says, "Whatever position is needed, I can help.. I'm sort of a Jack of All Trades, willing to do pretty much anything, I just don't do dancing.. that.. you don't want to see." he chuckles."

Firestar has posed:
A polite nod to Lucius and she tells him,"Nice to meet you." Her attention moves back to Kit and tells him,"I am not much help finacially. College student with scholarship. My new place is paid for by a friend or I would be living in the dorm. I am glad to help where I can, but I am busy enough even landing a part time job is tricky."

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Kit gives a little chuckle and explains, "Financial aspect for the events are already dealt with, the equipment's already purchased and stored, too." with a little wink. Apparently, the yeen being gone has been more than just for him to spend time with his favorite feline.

<Yes.> comes an almost guttural voice, not so much projected into Lucius' mind, but broadcast. He's no telepath, but he's been trained to communicate by one apparently. <I know.> a second response, perhaps aimed at the comment about people fearing what they do not understand? <Trust me. I know.> The last words project an almost overburdening sense of pain with them, but it isn't malicious.

Zeitgeist (Julius) has posed:
Lucius Primus says, "Well, You don't need to fight the world by yourself Kit and Angelica." he nods to her as well, "So, I know alot of the members here would volunteer, alot get bored just playing video games and schooling.""

Firestar has posed:
Still a little confused, Angelica nods. Her phone chirps and she quiets it for the moment. She looks between them. She is curious at least. That much is obvious, difficult to not be. She watches the two of them go back and forth and starts taking mental note for the time being. Questions can come as they go.
