Location: South Hinkley, Old Gotham
Synopsis: orders were given!
Cast of Characters: Batman, Harley Quinn, Black Canary

Batman has posed:
There was the slight crunch of the last bit of snow under the shadow's boot. Just a whisper of sound even as the last man fell with a rustle of fabric and the final heavy thud of his body striking the ground in a short trio of impacts. Knees, chest, then brow. There had been six of them, now six had fallen in the pattern of a fan spread across the last snowfall of the Winter. Spring was near but Gotham seemed intent on holding onto that hint of frost with this last snap of a chill.
The shadow straightened and then stepped out into the halo of light upon the street, the lamp flickering ever so slightly as the Batman touched a hand to the side of his cowl, rumbling voice rising as he spoke onto the comms.
<< Oracle, six tagged. There are three crates of evidence here. I want their point of origin researched. >>
What had started out as a gathering of an arms dealer and a buyer in a multi-tiered parking lot had ended with the visit of the grim vigilante. But now as quick as he had struck, he was already moving.
Harley Quinn has posed:
Harley Quinn Cocks her head as she looks down. She's on the building not too far off . She blows a bubble and pops it as she rubs the head of one of her hyenas .. " Looks like he busted one of the smugglers as I told ya he would, " she says to nobody in particular. She hmms, " Question is what crime he gonna beat on next."
Black Canary has posed:
"Obviously me rushing over here was completely unnecessary," came a voice from the shadows not too far away from Harley. It was a nearby rooftop, not the same one, but at this distance the noise carried. And there on the edge of that roof was the Black Canary. Canary for short cause really who had time for all that? She was in her usual strapless top with a leather jacket over it but no fishnets tonight. It was too chilly for that. Thus she was wearing black pants that matched the top, with her customary boots to finish the look.

She tapped her ear and spoke again, though this time not to herself. <He already has it handled.> She wasn't on the Bats frequency but she was one of the Birds so a direct line to Oracle was always there. <I kind of want to ask him if that was a bit of Kokutoryu Jui-Jitsu mixed with Goju-ryu karate but I suspect he'd ask me if I figured out what I did wrong last time he saw me fight again. And for the record, I did nothing wrong.> The last was added hastily.
Batman has posed:
Normally a man in such a position being observed would not have a hint of the words spoken, nor the attention paid. Most other vigilantes would make their way, unaware. But then the Bat has been known to cheat.
The cowl lifts, head tilting slightly. A thin visor slides down into place over the eyelets of his mask. A brief moment of observation, then the two other Gothamites would see the tall silhouette of a man lift an arm. There's a short sharp /snap-hiss/ as the grapple line fires, and near Harley she'll hear the crunch of the hook embedding into the side of the building. The line snaps taut, wings flare, and suddenly the Bat rises. A brief moment of flight, then landing heavy with boots crunching in the gravel. Kneeling for a moment, then silently rising back to that shadowy shape in front of the former clown villainess.
    "Quinn."
Harley Quinn has posed:
Harley Quinn Grins. " Really, 'cause he's always telling me I'm wrong. " She looks over. " AS for the fighting still. Far as i can tell is Boot the head with a dash of owch town."

Bud gives one of those hard-to-miss heyna laughs. before Harley gives him a little pat on the top of his head! The mutant hyenas are on either side of Harley.

She's still in her shorts and T-shirt top, but ever since her dip in the chems, she doesn't feel things like normal anymore. But when Batman lands, her only response is to point at Canary: "It's hot in stockings fault " .
Black Canary has posed:
Hearing that voice from nearby, Canary snaps her head in that direction. Blue eyes narrow ever so slightly, as she shifts her focus from the woman to her two companions. Those would not be normal even if they were not mutated creatures. People didn't just have hyenas as pets. Even those with exotic pets they walked on leashes in exotic locales, she'd not seen hyenas ever.

"Those work too," she murmured even as she heard that familiar sound of the grapple and knew they wouldn't be alone long. Not that she ever doubted he'd know they were there. She was positive he knew where every person in a one block radius was. Not because of Oracle cheating either. Dinah was just positive he was that scary.

Though when she got blamed for... something. She frowned a bit. "If it's my fault, then there is something to be at fault for. Sounds like a confession to me. What about you, Batman?" And she was far too amused for her own good at that assessment.
Batman has posed:
The tall man turns his head, white eyelets shifting to focus upon the blond martial artist, then back toward Harleen. He tilts his head slightly, "Curious choice in travel companion." Though which of them he says that to might be hard to discern. Perhaps both.
He steps forward and between them, one gauntlet lifting to point partially at Dinah as he says. "Oracle didn't mention you were running as a duo tonight." He moves toward the other end of the rooftop, his cape sliding slightly and silently behind him. His head turns as he levels that stern gaze upon Harley, expression unassailable and indiscernible.
A moment of silence passes as Dinah asks him that question, and for a time it might seem like he'll say naught more. Dinah likely has a feel for that vibe on the comms. Usually Oracle is quick with a comment, a rapid reply. But there's a hint of... something in the background. As if something is being said that neither of the others are privy to. Until...
When he perhaps surprises them when he says. "I need both of you to head to the Narrows. I need pairs of eyes on the West Side, River Access." He lifts his forearm up and a small screen flickers to life as well as the lenses in his cowl illuminate ever so slightly.
"Eyes only, report what you see." He looks to Quinn then and his tone is a low growl. "If you're in my city, you do things my way." Then those eyelets shift back to Dinah. "She's your luggage."
At that he starts to reload the grapple gun.
Harley Quinn has posed:
Harley Quinn Blinks, she doesn't say a thing; she's learned if you talk, he just twists it, or worse, figures stuff out. Better keep yer yap shut. She watches him, then he gives orders, " Oiy, I'm at least a booty trunk. I'm not luggage," She comments.

But She also pulls out What looks like a Nerf gun.. with a grappling hook stuffed into the end of it. " But If ya want help, sure," She says. Aiming and saying, PEW!

the grappling gun fires off as Harley makes ready to head to the narrows .
Black Canary has posed:
"What the...No. Just no. We were not here working together. I came to back you up and..." Then Dinah realizes all the talking she is saying will literally do nothing to help in this situation. Because Batman does not listen. Or generally didn't.

She looks from Batman to Harley then back to Batman. "You should have Robin do it. I'm sure he'd be very good at it." She kept her smarter comments--pronounced sarcastic not smarter--to herself since she didn't want to say too much in front of Harley. She just wasn't sure what the woman knew.

"Not my circus," she finally said. But at the same time, she looked back to Harley. Here she was, the only one without a grapple gun. "I'll meet you there. Try not to do anything illegal before that, okay?"

And she moved to head off toward where her motorcycle was waiting.
Batman has posed:
Indeed, Dinah has the read of it. For there's no further word from the Batman on that matter. Instead the man's broad back remains turned to them as he reaches the other end of the rooftop. His head does turn to the side slightly. It was then that he instead spoke to her last comment, "No, it's not your circus. It's mine."
And with that there's a short snap-hiss of his own grapple gun firing. A slight step as he moves off into the abyss between buildings, falling downwards... then rising against the shape of the moon.
