Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow was still up when Buffy came home. Between then, they really only slept here a few nights a week. Sometimes , like tonight, they both were home.

In the living room, with just the living room lamp on, Willow sat on the couch, holding her knees to her chest, and was thinking about Henri, and god, and the church.

A plate of chocolate chip cookies were on the coffee table, as well as a cold mug of hot (now cold!) chocolate.
Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy had been spending a lot more time back at home with her Mom and her sister. Not that they asked her to but her Mom had been having some rough headaches of late and it was affecting her enough she was neglecting the house. Thus Buffy would go and help her a day or two a week at first but now it seemed to be more instead of less.

She came in with one of those little trays that carried drinks balanced on her left hand, leaving her right free to use her keys to unlock then open the front door. Once inside, she locked the door behind her and threw her keys into the nearby bowl that was on a table near the entry for just that purpose. "Honey, I'm home! And I brought sustenance!"

She grinned as she approached the table, eyes locking on those cookies before finally moving back to Willow. She offered her bestie one of the drinks then set her own down next to the cookie plate. It only took about thirty seconds to divest herself of her jacket as well as all the weapons she carried, tossing them all into the nearby chair. The drinks were from one of their favorite coffee shops. "I wasn't sure if you'd be up or not but figured I'd err on the side of caution."
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Mmmm. Hot chocolate with homemade cookies! Win-win!

"You know, I could have been sleeping over at Harry's house." She grins, and loosens her legs to sit cross legged. "I was thinking about that calling card. Did you know the address keeps getting bigger." And more tinged with red, but Willow doesn't say that. "I think we should plan a visit soon. You are still up for it?"

That wasn't the only thing on her mind this evening. Just the safest.
Buffy Summers has posed:
"Well you could've but then I'd just have two drinks instead of one. Or I'd keep it til morning and add some ice. Voila! Problem solved."

Buffy took a big swig of her own hot chocolate, ignoring the slight scald on her tongue for her troubles. It was more annoyance than actual pain and the drink was so good. She took a cookie, stuffing half of it into her mouth for a big bite then froze at mention of what teh card was doing.

"Bigger? Are you kidding me?" She didn't wait for an answer before adding. "I'm up for it. Just say the word."
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow nodded. "It would be really cool if I wasn't worried about why that Abbess wanted to see me? I can't figure why. Sure, something to do to with the Librarian, but nothing I have done in the past two years has panned out."

She snagged a cookie, munching on it.

"It was a weird night. Henri came looking for me. Almost woke up half the building. He's in bad shape I think. Talking about Lucifer, and God, and did I think he was cursed by a witch or a necromancer. The other day, he offered to clean up the churchyard. And he didn't mean raking."
Buffy Summers has posed:
"What? I haven't seen him in forever. I didn't know that he was back."

Buffy continued to munch cookies and sipping her drink but her full attention was now on the redhead at her side.

"So he met Lucifer and is now having some crisis of faith? No reason to. I would think it would reinforce his faith instead of challenging it."
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"He's back. I guess he and Heloise took some time together? Roaming the world? I don't know. I figured he wasn't quite certain about me. Heloise obviously worked her magic over him." At which Willow giggles.

"I don't think I helped him very much." She doesn't say how he warned her about her growing power. Even though it added to her own fears.

"So, I thought maybe you could come along. Maybe Harry. Possibly Henri? You don't think I'm being too cautious> I mean she hasn't said anything to me that I should be afraid of? It's just a niggle I have. You know?"
Buffy Summers has posed:
"Considering everything about this book thing sounds like the worst possible situation ever? No, I don't think you are being overly cautious. And she might be just a nice old lady. If that's the case, we'll all have tea and crumpets and be on our way."

Then she paused. A familiar furrow marred Buffy's brow as she considered that phrasing. "Crumpets are food right? SHould I say biscuits? Wait, those mean something different in England, don't they?"

She shook her head, waving a free hand in the air to dismiss her rabbit hole diversion and returned to the topic at hand. "Whoever you think is best. Since it's magic stuff, I trust your judgement and any niggles you might have. Hunchest have saved lots of people so never ignore them."
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Crumpets are a food." Willow has to giggle. "They are kinda like English muffins, except you don't split them apart. They cook with the holes on the top. Don't ask me how."

A pause.

"You don't think she would have crumpets for us?" She shakes her head. "The think is she may not have sent the card. And why would she say so if she did?" Willow knows why. Buffy may not. Willow has been careening around the drain hole for quite some time of being not quite evil, close enough to it.

Willow doesn't say that. Nope, nope, nope.

It does raise suspicion of who is the Abbess?

"I think I would like the morale support?"
Buffy Summers has posed:
"Then you shall have it. Morale. Physical. Whatever you need."

Buffy picked up another cookie to munch before finishing off the rest of her hot chocolate. But that made her want more. Which brought for the conundrum. Did she go in the kitchen and make more? Or did she run back down to the shop around the corner? Because walking a block, standing in line, and walking a block back was so much easier than throwing a pod in the Keurig?

She sighed and headed for the kitchen. "You want more hot chocolate?" she asked on her way there. She raised her voice enough for them to be able to discuss despite the distance. "It may be nothing. It may be something. We'll be aready either way."
