Sinister has posed:
He doesn't announce his arrival.

There was a soft ripple of altered perception, distorted reality, that rose like smoke from the floor in the center of the room. It was followed with a crackle of static, and then a human figure suddenly stepping out of it.

He's dressed formally, neatly, left hand in his trouser pocket, creating squarish folds in the thick cloth of his suit jacket. His right hand is on his lapel. His posture is straight, even, assertive.

He's paler than milk. His eyes are crimson. He looks like he might be related to the devil himself with his saturnine beard and jet black, neatly groomed hair.

"Victor von Doom, I presume?" the man asks, accent English. "I've come to parlay."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doom was sitting in his throne room, a public place that is not magically warded against dimensional intrusions... as opposed to other places within his castle. When the pale stranger appears from nowhere, Doom looks down at him from his vantage point, and says, "Was it the armor that gave Doctor Doom away?" He hmms slightly at the stranger, taking him in carefully, before saying, "Doom grants you an audience."

Doctor Doom then glances over at the minister who was speaking before Sinister's arrival, and who has gone almost as pale as Sinister is at the interruption. Doom's voice is almost lazy as he waves, "Begone, Minister. You know Doom's wishes in this regard, make it happen." Doom doesn't bother putting in the 'or else' at the end... as the minister knows quite well the penalties of failure. Soon the room is clear, aside from a dozen immobile Doombots standing watch, Sinister himself, and Doom sitting on the throne, gazing down as he says, "Speak."

Sinister has posed:
Essex bows politely. He's in the presence of a head of state after all.
Mr. Sinister has come without armor, without a show of force or power; he comes in the something appropriate to an ambassador, diplomat, or businessman. He's not here to fight, and he attempts to make that subtly apparent.

"If it pleases Doom, I shall introduce myself: I am Mister Sinister." He rises from his bow and straightens himself. "Your nation has conditions, government and resources favorable to scientific endeavors I wish to pursue. I would like to bargain for permission to establish a facility in Latveria."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doctor Doom hmms, "Indeed. The peopel of Latveria possess a great deal of wealth, thanks to Doom's efforts, and there are many outsiders who would seek Doom's favor." He looks at Mister Sinister with a speculative air, "What, precisely, could you offer in exchange for such a boon?"

Sinister has posed:
"Technology. Medicine. Shared research. Enhanced methods of population management," Sinister suggests calmly. "All I require is a small parcel of land in which my genetics research can be carried out in peace, without the fumbling, unnecessarily restrictive laws and regulations that impede progress elsewhere."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doctor Doom considers, "Do you have a concrete example of your research? Doom would wish to see what is possible beyond vagary, before agreeing to such a request, and devoting Latveria's resources to such a project." He gestures slightly towards Sinister, waiting with a hint of anticipation.

Sinister has posed:
"What kind of proof do you require? Frankly it would easier for you to simply name what you wanted, likely I can produce anything you request," Sinister calmly counters. "After all, I've chosen not to read your mind as a professional courtesy. I'd rather you tell me, and let me make it happen."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doctor Doom chuckles softly, "You speak in hypotheticals to Doom, where the real world can be interesting enough." He leans forward in his throne, "What sort of genetic manipulation are you capable of? Editing DNA strands? Cloning? Doom would wish to know more of what feats you would accomplish within Latveria, for mutual benefit."

Sinister has posed:
"Clones, mutations, adding or removing unique abilities; there's also my collection of genetic material from useful individuals, from which I can cultivate replications," Sinister offers, spreading his hands. "Even specific organs can be useful if weaponized."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doom looks intrigued by this, "Well, Doom would not wish to restrict the progress of true scientific endeavors." He gives Sinister a knowing glance, "After all, brilliance can be dimmed by those who lack the ability to comprehend, don't you agree?" With that, he rises from the throne, stepping down to approach Sinister, "The details, as well as sharing of research and resources, will need to be worked out, but Doom believes that a research center would be a benefit to Latveria."

Sinister has posed:
"Then you may consider me at your service. I would be more than happy to assist you in the governance and prosperity of your nation through my intellect," Sinister states, and bows once more.
