Room for more redheads
Date of Scene: 16 December 2017
Location: Xavier's Schoo, Westchester, New York
Synopsis: Vincent brings Hope to Xavier's to discuss her enrolling. Hope meets Negasonic and Kaydin!
Cast of Characters: Vincent Black, White Phoenix, Phoenix, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Kaydin LeGraize

Vincent Black has posed:
"We're here to get you into the school, what you do there is entirely up to you. This might even be your hardest challenge yet. This isn't something I prepared you for." Vincent says as he pulls the car to a stop in front of the door and climbs out of the black unmarked cop car.

The man walks to the front doors, and waits for Hope to catch up before he rings the bell and gives a wave to the not so hidden camera built into the door frame. "I'm here to talk to a staff member, again. This time I brought the ... potential student." Vincent says, knowing damn well there's a microphone at the front door somewhere, but acting like he might not be sure.

White Phoenix has posed:
"I don't wanna go to school."

Hope might as well still be four considering the petulant tone, crossed arms and epic pout on her face as they pull up to a stop. She looks toward the building, the pout shifting to a frown. "It doesn't look like a school. It looks like rich people live there."

He's not budging. As he gets out, she is a bit slower to do so, dragging her feet almost literally as she walks toward the building. She can already feel a few effects from the mutants inside which piques her interest. At the door, she tucks her hands into the pockets of her jacket, pulling it tighter around her as she looks right at the camera.

Phoenix has posed:
The school was pretty busy with kids running around in the early evening, sure some had already cleared out last night and today... but the activity was still pretty high inside.

A fifteen foot tall Christmas tree sits on the southwestern corner of the main foyer's floor, in the corner up against the stone wall. Its covered in bright white lights and there are even packages underneath it, all the packages given to the Faculty from the students.

A pack of students are herding their way through the foyer when the doorbell goes off and several of them look toward it, but one takes the lead and starts toward the door.

Its a 12 year old boy, overweight with short black hair and a yellow/black striped shirt on... holding a plate of holiday decorated cupcakes and icing all over his face.

"Get the door, Hambone!" one of the other kids shouts after him and he just looks back at the shouter and gives a 'glare'.

A few seconds later and Hambone opens the door...

The 12 year old looks right at Vincent and gives him the stiiiiiiiink-eye. Then he looks to Hope and gives HER the stinkeye too!

"No soliciters!" He says sternly and goes to close the door again.

Vincent Black has posed:
Vincent's foot is caught in the door and try as the boy might, the door wont shut. After a moment, through the crack in the door a heavy black wallet THUNKS on the floor next to Hambone. "Do we look like solisitors. Hambone?" Vincent says and motions towards the golden badge that 'fell' out of his pocket.

With his foot still in the door, Vincent looks at Hope and shrugs at the young woman. "This is something that will be good for all of us. But you'll certainly be able to come back whenever you want. We still have a lot of work to do."

White Phoenix has posed:
"See! We should just go," Hope says with a lot of her namesake in her voice. No such luck. Vincent is in one of his determined moods and nothing she has done has swayed him from getting her to this school. She did learn this was where he had intended to take her when he rescued her as a child. But dammit, she wasn't a child anymore!

She seems to fold in a little more in her jacket, a sure sign of her discomfort with the situation. "Yes, we do have work. And I could do it better with you instead of here." She stops there though, realizing she's fighting a losing battle.

Phoenix has posed:
Hambone looked at the doorway and he saw the cop's badge and it made his icing-covered face go a bit more... wide when a spout of fright entered him that a COP was here?

"Oh... shit..." he said quietly. QUICKLY THOUGH the 12 year old shook his head side to side at his word slip up. "I mean, I mean, I'm sorry. Come on in!" He threw the door open then and started waving them in with his free hand.

His other hand shot out and he extended the plate of cupcakes at them. "Want a cupcake?! Fresh from the oven! Iced'em up myself!" He showed them both a big smile.

From across the Foyer another young student Hambone's age shouted back. "You ate them all yourself too!"

Vincent Black has posed:
Vincent steps in with a glance sent towards Hambone, and the cop's face is not that friendly as he bends down to buff out his shoe and pick up his badge, befor slipping it back into his pocket. The same glance is shot towards Hope as his hand reaches out slowly to take a cupcake and begins pealing the wrapper away from the cake part.

Vincent looks to the students behind Hambone and then back to the chubby boy. "Where is Jean Grey?" Asks the not even close to young cop.

Negasonic Teenage Warhead has posed:
And if Hope was certain only rich people lived her, she gets an unusual sight in Ellie coming down the stairs, dressed in a proper gothic getup. Mesh black top, leather jacket decorated with pyramid studs, a spiked black collar around her neck, black fingerless leather gloves, sturdy black boots, a bunch of straps down her pants and a few chains hanging off her studded belt. The makeup matches with one might expect, all black, some shades of purple, and then the multitude of piercings and shorn hair.

Needless to say, she doesn't look your typical rich kid at all. Either way, as she notes the two people in the door on her way down, she peers at Vincent, and then at Hope, "he tried to ditch you in the school?" She asks Hope, casually pushing her nose into business that aren't her own, "you should like, kick him in the shin and run while you can...too many lameos in here."

White Phoenix has posed:
Looking at the cupcakes, then the icing on Hambone's face, Hope gives a negative shake of her head. "Not a chance." Then she hears a voice and turns to look at Ellie. The surprise shows on her face for a moment since she hasn't really been exposed to the sort of look the young woman is presenting so perfectly. The moment passes and she tilts her head a bit as the other woman calls it perfectly.

"He intends to, yes!" She gives a triumphant smirk to Vincent. Even other people can tell what he's doing! Then something sinks in and she looks back at Ellie with a furrow in her brow. "What's a lameo?"

Phoenix has posed:
Hambone was about to say something else when Ellie showed up and a look of pure dread went over his face... a 12 year old chubby kid faced with the dilema of being confronted with the scary older Negasonic Teenage Warhead. "Uh, uh, uhm..." Hambone started to just stutter out his words in fear of Ellie.

He suddenly spun around and started to run back toward his pack of other 12 year olds who were all going upstairs. "Miss Grey is in the teacher's staff hall!" He shouted back over his shoulder at the Cop before just catching up with his friends again.

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
It is then a blur opens the door and moves between the people, faint lightning seen as he moves along. He finally slows down coming down the stairs and looks to Ellie. "Great it's you. And here I thought the day was going so well." He says as he sips some gatorade which he carried with him.

Vincent Black has posed:
Vincent's hand falls back under his jacket, and palms at his weapon's grip when a blur streaks past him. It's way too late to actually defend himself but the effort is there. Still holding his cupcake in his other hand he had moved his hand out to block Hope from this possible threat and then it's a boy, hurling insults at the goth girl. Not a good idea kid, she's likely already got some sort of self esteme problem. Poor girl. Is all Vincent thinks towards Elle.

"Which way is the -- I'll figure it out." Vincent says, resigning himself to just using his prior knowledge of the house to achieve his goals. "Hope, you can stay with them, or come with me. That's your perogative sweetie." Vincent says before he marches towards the staff hall and lifts the cupcake up to his grizzled face to take a bite finally.

Negasonic Teenage Warhead has posed:
Ellie snorts, "called it," she announces, as if anyone cared that she read the situation perfectly. Ellie doesn't make a scene out of the look Hope gives her, there's a reason she keeps her style and mannerism, she likes shocking people who think they know everything about how everyone should behave and look. She doesn't take offense at that, if anything, it just means she's doing her job.

Asked what a lameo is, Ellie looks around, the obvious target being the chubby 12 year old, Hambone, and he seems to know it by the way he starts stuttering and looks mighty uncomfortable with Ellie there. Lucky for him, he flees out of earshot before Ellie explains to Hope, "well, someone like fatso with no self respect is an example of a lameo," she notes one example, but before she can elaborate, Kaydin arrives in a flash, giving Ellie an even better one, "oh, hi Kaydin," she turns to Hope, one fingerless gloved finger pointing at Kaydin, "he's the biggest lameo around, if you want a better example. That's why he hates seeing me, because I remind him what a terrible perv he is."

As if in after though, she adds to Hope, "did I mention he was a perv? Because he is. His name is Kaydin, stupid, right? Anyways...you wanna keep away from him." Ellie is such a wonderful guide, the faculty should just make her an official greeter to potential new students. No doubt her tone with Kaydin is a result of the torment that bully is putting on the poor girl with her low self esteem issues, nasty, nasty Kaydin.

Those who are keen of attention, will note the masterful dexterity with which Ellie pulls a smartphone out of the pocket of her jacket, before speedily typing her latest twit.

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
"Clearly I have found my calling to life, being a perv." Kaydin says sarcastically as he looks to hope and offers a hand. "Name's Kaydin as she said. One of the fastest people alive." He says as he smiles at her. He then looks to Ellie and watches her tweet. His phone then buzzes at the twit and he sips more gatorade. "So you going to join the school?" He asks curiously.

White Phoenix has posed:
Hope is taking in every single word like it's the gospel. It's good to have someone who knows such things and is willing to share information so readily. While the initial appearance of Ellie had been shocking, she'd already moved past it and was paying very close attention. The explanation is a little confusing though. Lameo is someone will no self respect. Mental noted made. At the perv comment, at least that's a word she's heard before. It isn't a good word. She looks over at Kaydin, frowning a bit, although her words are for Ellie as though the young man isn't even able to hear her.

At her father's words, she glances his direction. Now, she's torn. She wants to stay here and learn more from Ellie but she also doesn't want her fate discussed without her being present. "I'll follow in a moment."

Then Kaydin offers his hand and she looks at it, having no idea why he's doing that. She doesn't take the hand and she frowns then looks back to Ellie as though Kaydin can't hear what she says next. "If he's a perv, and he seems to be verifying that fact, why is he here? Why haven't you killed him yet?"

Social Skills: 0.

Phoenix has posed:
Jean Grey was indeed inside of the Staff Meeting Hall. Once upon a time the room served as a social gathering place for the wealthy elite in this part of the country, now, all these years later it was filled with dark wood desks for the fauclty and a large round meeting table.

Jean had her own office through a doorway in said hall, but she tended to not spend time in it unless private conversations were needed to be had, she wanted to be more approachable...

As such the redheaded Vice Principal was seated at one of the faculty member's desks, she was leaned back in the chair with her legs crossed at the knee and a cell phone was up to her ear, she was speaking to a parent who was calling because he was uanble to come pick up his son for the holidays afterall... She knew that this was going to devestate the 17 year old kid, who'd been looking forward to seeing his dad all year. This was news she was NOT looking forward to delivering to the young man here later tonight.

"Yes... Okay." She said over the phone. "I'm very sorry. I'll... have him call you the moment he gets home." A second later and Jean would cut the call and then lower her phone down to her lap and sigh, with her right hand going up to touch fingertips to her forehead.

Vincent Black has posed:
Vincent moves through the herds of children with a somewhat sour look on his face. It's been a long time since he was a turd like them. Poor Ellie and Hope were having to deal with being young still. There are times when he misses it, and yet most of the time he can't bother to remember that long ago.

There's a knock on the door frame to the teacher's area and Vincent's head is peaking in and he catches the end of the teacher's conversation on the phone. He does say something to catch her attention further. "Are you still teaching them how to handle themselves in public? I don't want to have to respond to another mutant attack or riot." Vincent says with a hard frown.

Negasonic Teenage Warhead has posed:
Ellie in the meantime is sending another twit while listening to the conversation aroud her, smirking to herself at Hope's very reasonable question. "See? Part of the lameo problem in this place is that we're supposed to be good guys, or something like that, you see? So we don't kill, even when people really deserve it..." she then turns to look at Kaydin, attempting to mock punch his shoulder, if he doesn't pussy out and escape her reach, "just messin' with you Kaydin, we're not actually going to kill you, having you around helps teach other student what not to become." Looking at Vincent as he carries own towards his meeting with faculty, Ellie offers to Hope, "if you want I can go with you, you probably wanna listen what the grownups are plotting for you...they do scheme and stuff around here, but don't worry, most of'em just make you stronger."

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
Kaydin lets her mock punch his shoulder and lets a smile. "Clearly I live for your approval." He says sarcastically as he looks to Hope and he chuckles a little at her. "I take it that where you are from they didnt have much law did they?" He says as he watches the girl and nods. "Can I eavesdrop? I like listening in while people talk about people." He says with a grin.

White Phoenix has posed:
"That makes no sense at all," Hope observes as she looks at Ellie then Kaydin. "Good guys kill people to. Who told you otherwise? If that is what they teach here, this isn't going to work out." Then she looks to Kaydin. "Where I come from, the law was the problem. They hunted us. So we hunted back." She doesn't take the time to explain further, giving a nod to Ellie. "Yes, I think it would be best if we followed him." Then she does just that, heading quickly down the hallway that Vincent took. She sees him at a doorway and hurries to catch up with him.

Phoenix has posed:
Jean would 'feel' the presence of the man from the previous day a moment before he spoke and she looked up from the desk she was at and then rose up to her feet. Smoothing her dark red dress out some she started to walk across the staff hall toward the double doors that he stood in the open archway of.

Her right hand extended to him as she drew closer. "Officer Black, was it?" She asked him then. "Glad that you could return... and... yes, we are teaching the children how to handle their powers for the safety of all of those around them. Our goal here is to foster a peaceful world, afterall."

Vincent Black has posed:
Vincent steps into the room, his hand reaching out to meet Jeans and shakes hers twice before pulling back. "Good, but it seems like the world itself doesn't want peace with us. But don't get me wrong, I don't disagree with your cause, I just don't have the luxury of chasing it." Vincent says with a soft shrug of his shoulders.

Detective Black glances back over his shoulder as the children come up behind him and with a twitch of the side of his mouth, Vincent turns back to Jean and asks, "What are you all doing about the current situations with war looming on the horizon in Genosha?" He's not going to give her softballs.

Negasonic Teenage Warhead has posed:
"Oh boy, are you going to ever love this loser school," Ellie notes at Hope's suggestion that good guys kill people, shaking her head, "I like where you coming from, some people deserve it, but teachers say we're not supposed to...like for serious, I don't get it either."

She then turns to follow Hope to offer her support, "I'm Ellie by the way, got a name?" She asks her, before noting, "see? Kaydin likes to eavesdrop too, told you he's bad news."

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
"Says the girl who didnt ask for permission to eavesdrop." Kaydin says as he watches the women and he turns to look back in the direction the detective went and he follows along, keeping his speed slow so not to anger Ellie. He then looks to back to Hope and looks between Jean and Hope. "Look at that, you look alot like Miss Grey."

White Phoenix has posed:
"My name is Hope," is the response from the redhead. She continues down the hall, glancing over and giving the pair of them a grin. "I guess I'm bad news too. You can learn all sorts of things eavesdropping."

As they reach that doorway Vincent went through, she comes to a stop and puts her back to the wall beside the door. So makes a shushing motion to her co-conspirators as she settles in for the oh-so-important listening in on the authority figures. She won't think of them as adults because, by age, she's one herself. She simply is ill equipped for the world she is now a part of. She peeks around the corner and quickly ducks back out of sight. "If you mean we're both redheads, you're right," she whispers to Kaydin.

Phoenix has posed:
Jean's hand was withdrawn after she shook Vince's and then she interlocked her fingers gently together in front of her waist. She listened to the concerned fatherly questions and she softly nodded a single time toward him. "What we are doing about hostilities toward mutants in-general is education our students on what to do should they find themselves in the outside world... caught up in a potentially violent situation."

Jean glanced over Vince's shoulder as she saw the three younger ones coming toward them, she could tell that Hope was older than the other two... possibly not even 'that' much younger than she was. But she'd only held this job for exactly one year come the first of January, so she was new to this type of thing all around.

Jean looked back to Vincent then. "We instruct our students how to avoid violence. How to stay calm and and help others who may be facing overwhelming troubles, and how to come to those who truly are here to help them. Our school is not directly involved in whats going on in Genosha, but our primary concern are the children we're tasked with safeguarding."

This was and wan't true. The faculty and athe school were all those things... But the X-Men--who operated out of the basement of this facility--may very well have methods of interacting with Genoshan hostilities. Jean wasn't speaking on behalf of that side of this show however.

A smile was shown to Hope, when the 19 year old would approach she'd offer her right hand to her. "Welcome to Xavier's School... I see you've met two of our most... vocally loving students." And Jean would give Ellie and Kaydin a soft smile.

Vincent Black has posed:
Vincent keeps his hands out, rubbing his sweaty palms against the fronts of his slacks with a look over his shoulder when Jean speaks to the students and his daughter over his shoulder. "Come on Hope, I'm sure you have a few questions of your own." The detective says with a nod and a motion of one of his hands, inviting the girl into the room to speak with Jean. He's not concerned with the other two kids, he's not teaching them how to fight wars, and how to be a functioning member of society at the same time.

Negasonic Teenage Warhead has posed:
Ellie laughs when Hope mentions her name, "well, I guess we certainly can use you around here. Not much hope for Kaydin to amount to anything otherwise..." Ellie also happens to utterly ignore Kaydin's quips. He ain't getting a rise out of her. No sir. "Yeah...he's very smart too," Ellie adds as Hope doesn't at all agree with his remark on how Hope looks like Jean.

She does quiet down to join with the others on eavesdropping on Jean and Vincent, because when she does it, then it's perfectly okay.

"Hi Professor Grey," Ellie remarks when it's clear they've been spotted eavesdropping, "Hope here seems okay, she'll do fine, so long as she doesn't decide to marry anyone..." yeah, count on Ellie to make things easy for everyone involved.

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
Kaydin takes another drink of gatorade and pockets it before looking to Ellie. His phone then chirps and he moves to check it. "Thats right." He says to himself and looks to the others. "I am sorry, I need to head out. Promised a friend of mine to train with her." He says as he gives a two fingered salute to hope and ellie before vanishing in a blur of lightning and motion.

White Phoenix has posed:
Listening to the explanation of what they teach, Hope's frown is back on her face. Avoid violence? They have no idea what's coming if that is their philosophy.

At the invitation to enter the room, Hope makes a little face that the two students can see but not the pair already in the faculty room. Then she steels herself, shoulders back, head up as she turns and walks into the room more properly. She looks at the hand a moment then takes it into her own in a firm, single pump handshake. Her hand is placed back in the pocket of her jacket immediately after. "Miss Grey," she says by way of greeting. Then Ellie goes and confuses her again as she looks at her with wide eyes. "Not going to happen." Having no context to understand, she can do nothing but take it at face value and respond as such.

Phoenix has posed:
The Vice Principal gave Vince a momentary look before she put her stare back onto the younger ones, waving gently to Kaydin was he took off speedily like he... tended to do. She then looked back to Ellie and Hope and was happy that the fellow redhead accepted her offered handshake.

"Hope, right?" She said to her, brining a warm smile onto her red lips. "I know this place probably... feels odd at first and maybe even a little overwhelming. But I assure you that we really want to make you feel comfortable here and to look at this place like we look at it." She glanced at Ellie. "Like a home." She said, feeling that Ellie would share that sentiment even if she'd refuse to ever verbally admit it.

A look was given to father and then to daughter. "I don't want to bombard you with any other lengthy speeches though, because I know those are boring and mundane, trust me." A small grin was shown but if faded rather quickly. "You're welcome to take a look around the school grounds at your leisure, maybe even Ellie here will show you around? But beyond that... if you wish to attned here, it is entirely your choice. All I'll emphasize is... we'd love to have you." Another another soft smile was given to her.

"Oh, and I love your hair." She'd make sure to add.

Vincent Black has posed:
That almost draws a roll of Vincent's eyes, but he restrains himself as this is going better than they could possibly imagine. He turns his attention towards Hope, she really does have the final say. She's an adult.

Their goal was to get Hope into the halls to recharge her battery and gather all the powers she can before a confrontation the two of them have planned, but why not team up with Xavier's and the X-men. Vincent knows this isn't how Charles would do things or even like, but having been through the same war three times, you start to develop ideas on how to prevent it. If it can be prevented that is. Vincent takes in a deep breath and turns his attention to Hope and Ellie, "Anything you'd like to know about the place, I'm sure you could lean a lot even asking a few questions."

Negasonic Teenage Warhead has posed:
"I hear you, Hope, ain't gonna happen for me either, I guess that means you're safe then," Ellie says with a grin at Hope, before waving at Kaydin when he announces that he's leaving, "see you never, perv."

Jumping into Jean's exchange with Hope, Ellie does offer a rather supportive, "hey, you see how I look, right, Hope? They still let me stay here, and don't hate me for that, so there's that." She much prefers Xavier's to the orphange Child Services put her in before, those idiots wanted her to dress all girly and grow her hair so she can put it in ribbons and shit. Ellie was about to kill herself, or at the very least the entire orphange. Good thing Xavier and his crew pulled her out of that hellhole.

White Phoenix has posed:
At the comment about her hair, Hope automatically reaches up a hand and ruffles it through the red mass. It is cut rather haphazardly, not all neat and tidy which indicates she likely does it herself. Probably without a mirror. The idea of worrying about how her hair looks is foreign to the young woman. Keeping it clean she understands. Styling, mousse and flat irons? Foreign territory. "Thanks," she says automatically to the compliment. Her gaze slips to Ellie again and she catches her bottom lip in her teeth, for a moment not so sure of herself.

"I'm just not sure if I fit here. I'm too old to be a student. But I have no formal education so I doubt I could fit into normal classes. I mean I can read, write, use a computer. I have a lot of odd skills." The ability to strip the parts off a destroyed sentinel in less than thirty seconds probably isn't something they teach here. "And..." She slips her gaze to Vincent a moment then opts to take the plunge as she looks to Jean again. "I was raised in a place that wasn't like here. Survival. Violence. Death. Those are parts of who I am and I don't know how that will fit into a school setting."

Phoenix has posed:
One thing that Jean Grey made sure to not do was to use her mental powers to read the minds of those who did not give her any reason to do it. This had been a particularly hard thing to train herself to do, because that power was a temptation like few others in anyone's life to have access too... But she'd gotten far better at it since graduating from this school.

Jean gave an honest smile to what Ellie said. "I like the way you dress, Ellie. Its... you." She'd give the young Negasonic a warm smile then before her eyes looked again to Hope.

"Hope. You are not required to attend general classes here if it is something that doesn't make you comfortable." She'd respond, curious about the girl's past, but again--not wishing to enter her mind without permission to dig into it.

"You would not be the first to go through schooling here wishing to solitude from other students. What you -can- do however is test through the standard grade levels and then progress toward your collegiate level studies."

Another little smile was shown again. "We are now offering college level courses here, so you are just in time to get in on that. We want to work with you, to make sure you're comfortable here. We are far, far, from your average school that yo uwill find most normally."

Vincent Black has posed:
"She isn't your average girl." Vincent notes to Jean, with a smile back to Hope. "And I mean that in terms of average for Xavier's school." The cop turns his attention onto Hope fully. "How about we take the tour," Then a glance to Jean with a lift of his black eyebrow, "The /full/ tour, and then you can deside what you'd like to do."

Poor girl is being put through a lot, all the constant moving and never really getting settled in some where for too long, and ending up back at Vincent's appartment, and for once being moderately safe, it's been a very rough life. Vince understands how hard it has been on her. "That's right Hope." Vincent says piggy backing off Ellie's comment. "You can be as renegade or as cheerleader as you want in this place." Though it's harder to be the willing outcast. He remembers.

Negasonic Teenage Warhead has posed:
"You can still be useful," Ellie points out to Hope as she remarks on how she's too old to be a student, "you can buy alcohol for me," but a second after having said that, Ellie looks at Jean with a big grin on her lips, "not that I'd ever ask her to do it, because that's wrong. So, I don't touch the stuff. Ever."

Ellie does look very pleased with Jean approving of her style, "thanks, Professor Grey," she says with a sheepish grin, not quite used to compliments. At least not ones that don't come from Piotr, her personal Big Guy.

When Hope muses about what she'd like to do, and figures visiting and talking to more students, she reminds, "just remember to not meet with Kaydin, and ignore everything he has to say, and you'll be fine. You should probably look out for Rogue too, she graduated, but she can tell you a whole lot."

White Phoenix has posed:
"There are a lot of mutants here," Hope murmurs softly as she can feel the ones within range of her abilities. The fact she wouldn't end up in a classroom with Hambone is reassuring. She wouldn't be at all comfortable with that. She's not even sure if she's comfortable at all. However, she is nibbles her lip as she weighs the pros and cons.

"The full tour would be good. And I would like the opportunity to visit a few times before I make up my mind completely? Maybe meet more students and some of the teachers?" she asks, thinking that might get her more comfortable with the idea. Or turn her against it completely. At least she'll have a decision made.

In truth, she needs to be at the school more. It's all part of the task she has laid before herself.

"No, because Kaydin is a perv. But they won't let you kill him." She sighs, shaking her head. "This is going to take a lot of getting used to. Rogue? Nice name."

Phoenix has posed:
Jean would smile to what Vincent said of Hope and she'd nod her head gently to him in silent agreement. At what Ellie said however, Jean would simply tilt her head and show a vague look of disappointment. "You have your whole life ahead of you to ruin with alcohol, Ellie, should you so choose to do that... Please, just wait until you're twenty one to consider such a dreadfully awful choice." Jean drank... here and there, a sip or two, rarely anything more than that.

At Hope though, Jean would show a faint frown at the name calling toward Kaydin. "Mister LeGraize is a good young man, emm, Kaydin... is a good young man. He just is dealing with all the speed that is available to him. His mind functions differently than ours and sometimes words and observations escape him that offend others. I promise you though, inside of him is a good heart and a living, breathing, person... who wants to be happy as much as the rest of us."

Jean would take a step to the side of the Staff Meeting Hall room and grab something off of a table that was inside a dark wicker basket.

She'd return and offer them both to Hope and Vince. "Guest passes. For you both... you can come any time you want to visit. And... as a recommendation?" She looked between them both and smiled. "Bring your ice skates and spend some time out on the frozen lake. Its peaceful and quite beautiful after a fresh fall of snow." (Which Bobby and Storm always made sure to work together on this time of year to ensure)

Vincent Black has posed:
Vincent's heart skips a beat at that name, but he tries to hide his physical response to it. His eyes snap over to Ellie, for a brief moment and his breathing quickens. He thought she was gone and left. The future he's from originally had her as the headmistress of the school, but this timeline, this version is different. He swallows at the lump in his throat before shaking his head once and hidding his reaction under a question.

"Miss Grey, when does the new school year start? I would like to give Hope the opportunity to visit on her own and see about making friends, or learning if the school isn't a good fit for her or not." His eyes do go back to Ellie as she reminds him of himself in several ways. He does blink at her a few times with a subtle shift of his hand so that only she can see, he gives her a show of his golden heavy badge, and quickly puts it back in his pocket.
