Identifying the Haters
Date of Scene: 20 February 2018
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Nuala and Lar discuss the identity of the attacker at the crash site.
Cast of Characters: Nuala Duvall, Mon-El

Nuala Duvall has posed:
The office of the warehouse plant is mostly empty. The day has finished, and only the custodial staff still mill about. And Nuala. It's easier to meet with people that shouldn't normally belong when there are regular workers about. She called for Lar to meet her on the roof, the pebble coated rooftop crunching under her flat dress shoes as she steps out of the roof entrance to the building, wearing a professional business outfit. She checks her watch, should be that time about now.

Mon-El has posed:
Rooftops are a pretty convenient place to meet someone like Lar, who most likely flies everywhere he goes since it's the fastest way. Right on time, he appears in the sky above the warehouse and quickly descends toward it, landing as gently as he can so as not to damage the building. Today he's just dressed in normal street clothes, not unlike a Terran his age typically would. He nods in greeting upon arriving. "Ms. Duvall."

Nuala Duvall has posed:
"Mr. Gand," Nuala answers. "Thank you for meeting with me." Her voice has an accent that seems to be a cross between Xandarian and Astonian, for those who know what to look for. "I thought it would be helpful to everyone if I was able to share with you the information that I gathered from illegal Daxamite that landed." She indicates to an empty space of air, and door lowers, a ramp visible to the inside of a ship that rests cloaked on the roof. "I am have it here on my ship. Would you like to come on board?" She motions him permission with a hand in a way that a Xandarian might. She looks pretty human, though.

Mon-El has posed:
"Please, call me Lar." he insists with a polite smile. When she invites him aboard the cloaked ship, he nods and obliges, starting to make his way on board. "Yeah, it might help." he agrees, nodding. "I've had some time to do some research myself."

Nuala Duvall has posed:
"You can call me Nuala," she answers, following him up the ramp. The ship is fairly advanced, and there is a certain layout that makes it seem almost like a home as well. A sleeping quarter is off in a room to one side, the armory on another with pieces of the suit she wore previously ready for action. A workstation rests in the center, and she taps the control panel to bring it to life.
"I have to admit that I did not expect a fight with a Daxamite. He seemed very militant." The holoscreen opens, and the camera from her suit starts to play the encounter from her first person view.

Mon-El has posed:
"Will do." Lar smiles, coming inside and studying the replay of what happened on the holoscreen that just opened. "Yes...I've been trying to figure who exactly these guys are. But I think I've figured it out. In the future, after the founding of the United Planets, the Legion on several occasions is up against a group called the White Triangle. They're Daxamite supremacists, basically, who view all other races as inferior and good for nothing but subjugation. We were never sure how long they'd been around, but...I do know that in -this- time period, there's a very influential group of like-minded people on Daxam called the Sorrow Cultists. They were always lobbying against space travel or peaceful relations with any other civilization in the galaxy. The attackers said something about having received a message from the future, and I think...they were among the leadership of that cult, at least they were when I left Daxam."

Nuala Duvall has posed:
Nuala cues the recording where the Daxamite calls her and Xandarians trash. "It sounds like it fits for this person," she says. Moments later the fight starts, and the image cuts to Nuala being thrown through the forward glass, followed by plasma cannons lighting up the wreckage. "I am sorry if I destroyed your evidence," she says. "It was a rather extreme situation, and we have to keep humans from gaining advanced technology when we are able." She taps a finger on her opposing arm. "Do you know the identity of this person? He did not announce his name. I did not have it to report to Nova Corps. This... is not normally my jurisdiction."

Mon-El has posed:
"I believe his name is Res Vir." Lar answers. "According to the Legion's records, he was among the top ranking members of the Sorrow Cult during this particular time period, along with his colleagues Ula Vane, Suggin Rel, and Linre Fal. Ula and Suggin were captured, but Linre hasn't been confirmed spotted on Earth at all." He shakes his head. "Don't worry about it, probably better that you did anyway, since if any of it could be salvaged, that opens the possibility of them using it to get a signal to their allies. Which we definitely -don't- want."

Nuala Duvall has posed:
"No, I think we can agree on that." Nuala looks back at the image of Lar bursting onto the scene and rescuing her. "Thank you for that," she says, not nearly too proud to admit that she needed it. "My commander was not very happy that I engaged him. Is there anything I can do to help you? I have permission to use the ship resources to assist you in any way that I can."

Mon-El has posed:
"Of course...they're here because of us, more or less." Lar admits, sighing. "Well you can help keep a look out for Res. The longer he's here and at large, the harder it'll be to take him down." he tells her. "You know, because of the yellow star and everything."

Nuala Duvall has posed:
"Yes, I will start using the ship to scan for him. It could take some time, the Earth is a large planet," Nuala says. "I will let you know as soon as I learn something."

Mon-El has posed:
Lar nods. "Thanks. Is there anything you wanted to ask me?" he inquires before he moves to leave.

Nuala Duvall has posed:
Nuala considers. "If you find anything else out, I would not mind knowing so that I can update the report. If he is caught, I'm sure Nova Corps will want to know about it." She smiles. "I am sure we will find him soon."

Mon-El has posed:
"I sure hope so." Lar replies. "Yeah, I'll let you know if anything else important comes up." He nods. "It was good talking to you, Nuala."
