Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r walks into the kitchen, sets a basket on the counter, and cracks her knuckles. A basket that has a freshly-killed rabbit retrieved from near the city. "Alright, Silkie. Let us make a feast for this holiday tradition. I probably should've looked up what kind of holiday it is... but everyone is talking about this Easter and something about rabbits." The Silkie gurgles, leaning against her leg. "Oh - I'll start you off with a can of the tunafeesh..." She gets the can of tuna and eyebeams it open and sets it down for the little larva. She then turns to the stove. "Ah, my nemesis." She takes the rabbit and plops it in a stewpot, and fills it with water... and various seasonings and turns the burner on high.

Raijin has posed:
Rayner was walking around in his casual wear, just a red flannel jacket, black shirt underneath, blue jeans, and Shoes. That said, he runs a hand through his raven black hair and ocean blue eyes find Star attempting to cook.

Oh no.

"Hey Kori." He greets her with a small wave as he speaks some French to Silkie "Bonsoir Monsseuir Silkie." He teases softly. "Oh, happy Easter!" And he gives Kori a chocolate bunny

Starfire has posed:
In the pot the bunny (which was not skinned or gutted or anytihng, leeching blood into the water) was rising to a boil, with various seasons (was that SAUERKRAUT) in the pot. She smiles faintly. "Hello Rayner." She glances at the bunny. "Thank you. I will put this gift on the shelf in my room." She said nothing about eating it - the stuff known as 'chocolate' is too unpredictable for her to enjoy.

Silkie, on the other side, having licked out most of his tuna, ambles over to rub against your leg, drooling on your shoe.

Raijin has posed:
It does not take a blind man to notice that's proooobably not how you cook a bunny. And Rayner grew up on a farm. "Oh...you know you can eat that? It?s a candy here." He gestures to the chocolate bunny he just gave her. Then in the real bunny. "Star...that's not how you cook a bunny." He chuckles then, likely finding you cute for trying. "Here, may I help you?" He looks you in the eyes then.

Rayner be one of the only people alive other than Starfire who loves Silkie. "Awww Merci, Silkie. Love ya too."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r blinks. "It isn't?" she asks, blinking, as she looks at the bunny. "I would appreciaet the help... cooking was never taught to me by the..." Then the pot starts boiling... she filled it to the brim and the water starts overflowing, hissing against the electric burner. She just stares at it as she promptly makes a mess on the stovetop. "And... I don't like chocolate. It's too bitter."

Raijin has posed:
Rayner almost looked guilty when Starfire admits that she doesn't enjoy chocolate. "Oh! I am so sorry, I had no idea....you can still keep it if you want, I can get something else for you..." Clearly this was a heartfelt gift for you.

Then his attention falls on the boiling pot with badly cooked Rabbit inside. He turns down the heat and carries the pan to the sink, dumping out the unwanted stuff. This can still be saved! "So...first thing you want to do is skin it. Then gut it...here, I will show you." He takes a chopping board and sets the rabbit on it, and almost expertly he gets to work, keeping you close to him in this process so you can see everything he's doing.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r smiles. "Oh, it's a lovely-shaped piece of art. I will consider it so..." She looks and watches. "Oh - you don't eat the fur?" she asks softly. "Humans are such picky eaters..." She leans and watches, as the Silkie bangs the can around, wanting more tuna. "Save the entrails for thoe Silkie - he so loves them. But the heart is mine." She grins widely.

Raijin has posed:
Rayner smiles softly to you as you consider his gift, before his eyes shift back to the rabbit, removing it's insides in a very efficient manner, setting it aside in a nearby bowl. "Why the heart?" He asks her then, before lowering the bowl of intestines to Silkie.

"Bon appetite" then he's back to being focused on Star. "Nope. The average person will normally get sick by eating stuff like that. Plus we find it gross." He teases her softly.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r plucks the heart out and eats it raw. "It is delicious," she coooos, as she watches. "Oh... right. Keep forgetting that humans have different metabolism and tastes than my kind..." She ponders. "I should get you a gift... what is this Easter all about? All I got from watching TV was something about baskets, colored grass, and a rabbit so I got a rabbit to cook." She gives you a hug, then pulls back. "So... now what?"

Raijin has posed:
Rayner blinks as she takes the heart and ears it raw....but then he remembers that her kind doesn't really....cook anything. Least not like humans do. No judging! But he does nod. "Yeah, I hear we humans are pretty weird." He says good-naturedly, before he's hugged by you! Smiling, he wraps his arms around you and squeezes softly before pulling back as you do. "Now...we slice up the remains and cook it. Here, I'll show you." He makes precise cuts, at all for legs, and the torso in sections. Now that it's done...let's take....olive oil, Dijon mustard....and some salt. Could you grab those ingredients and mix them in a bowl? Small amounts. And Dijon Mustard is different than hot dog mustard. All of the ingredients are in that cabinet."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods as she does so, making a mix of those ingredients. "I like the dijon. Just... not the honey mustard. That stuff is an abomination." She does so and puts them in a bowl and takes a spoon to mix them, hmmmmming softly as the Silkie is enjoying his treat. "Oh, you cut them up so it fits easier in the pot so it doesn't overflow when it boils?" she asks, hmmmmming softly as she clicks her tongue, dipping her finger into the mix to taste it.

Raijin has posed:
Rayner laughs as you two make an Easter snack. "Yeah...I hate honey mustard with a passion. Ask anyone." He winks at her softly. "Exactly. Also easier to cook because you can make every piece exactly as you want." And he watches as you try that sauce. "Might not be too good right now, but eh." He reaches over to gently take the sauce, dumping the mixture with the rabbit slices. "Now...we let it marinate. Err, soak in the mixture for flavor." He hands the leftover sauce mixture back to Kori with a soft smile in case she wants to nom on it some more

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r smiles faintly. "You are so kind to me... most others when they hear I'm in the kitchen try to get me out as soon as possible or stop my efforts. I want to try to help..." She gives you another hug and then looks. "How long do we let it 'marintae'?" she asks

Raijin has posed:
Rayner smiles warmly to you, loving the hugs you give him. Heck, he -really likes hugs-. That said, his arms at around you for a moment before you both look at the meal, still in each other?s grasp. "Well, how can you know how to cook if nobody's taught you? I am surprised that they let you go it alone. Tell you what..." he looks you right in the eyes. "How about I teach you how to cook? I'll teach you all I know." And he is an awesome cook. "Usually? I let it sit for an hour before I fry it. So....we can probably get away with at least a half-hour."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods. "Alright... there is the issue that I do have different tastes - literally." She stays in the embrace for now. "Like humans consider coca-cola to be sweet and budweiser to be bitter. To me, it's the other way around." She smiles wryly. "So it can be difficult at times to know what's what."

Raijin has posed:
Rayner listens to you, casually remaining in your embrace as his arms are still wrapped around you. A shrug then. "Eh, everyone has different tastes, but you're the unique one." A kind smile then. "Don't worry though. One of the many joys of cooking is finding out what you love and what you don't." He winks playfully. "It's an adventure."

Koriand'r blinks, her green eyes lighting up (literally). "I do love adventures!" she chirps. "And maybe I can try to see if any native foodstuffs are tasty to humans - the Starfire's due to come by soon to check up on me - they promised me a crate of zorkaberries..."

Raijin has posed:
Rayner smiles big and wide as Star chirps her upbeat words. "Me too!" He smiles then. "I'd love to try some of your people's cooking. If sounds so exotic!" He says excitedly, get bing you another big hug since you two were already in each other?s arms. Turns out that rabbit was very delicious!
