A rescue no like no other.
Date of Scene: 10 June 2018
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Crusader, Captain America, Cable, Rogue

Crusader has posed:
The world had no shortages of various dangers. From the secretive Weapon-X program to the radical anti-mutant organition like Friend of Humanity! And the danger only grows when they find a way to gain power beyound the normal means. Weather it through scientific exploits such as Fear gas, or technological marvel like weapons from apokolipse...and sometimes it comes in far less standard forms

Recently, Vorn, a techno-organic entity has gone missing, and all clues point to kidnapping by such an extreamist anti-mutant group. The technology that can be developed from studying Vorn was more than enough to warrent a fill investigation.

Folks from the avengers were requested tp head to new jersey in the middle of nowhere, where a recently located facility was believed to house the hero and other assets and gather infomation.

Captain America has posed:
Captain America is investigating Vorm's disappearance, having pulled up in a motorcycle. He has a small scanmer looking for energy signals inside. He doesnt get the readouts but he knows this is likely the right spot. He is examining the area

Cable has posed:
Cable was well aware of Vorn being kidnapped and this was something he was determined to remedy. One way or another. The time displaced mutant rolls his wrist back down to a more normal position, the display on the inner part of his arm going dark as he makes the 'off' gesture. Cable places his left hand on the foregrip of his rifle as he steps out of the shadows and deeper into the facility. Quiet, Stealthy, and importantly, NOT GLOWING!

Crusader has posed:
The area looks rather ordinary on the outset. Old lightpoles, a rundown road. Even the building that supposed to be where the facility looked more like an old warehouse about to fall apart. However there were clues hidden here and there that Cap may be able to notice. Such as the hidden cameras hidden within the broken lamp poles, and people with army issued weapons can be seen just patrolling by the windows on occasion. They were dressed like civilians and patrolling aside, seem to act generally like them. Even stopping to chat. This was mostly concentrated on the east side of the building

Meanwhile inside...or more accurately underground where Cable was, the people patrolling there looked like actual soldiers and just as heavily armed if not more so than the folks above ground. One such patrol just pass by cable, but none have notice the stealthy individual...yet.

Captain America has posed:
Captain America realizes that like many terrorists, they likely have non combatants as shields so he takes a stealthy approach, avoiding cameras, moving in through blind spots, then up to the roof and then toward the east side.

Cable has posed:
A grimace on his face, the warrior mutant hugs the shadows, moves within them, and is using his tools to gain intel as he goes. A simple worm camera that was purchased in this era and adapted with a few bits and pieces of his time, Cable now has a camera mounted on the end of his gun that he can use to peek around corners and under doors. His trigger finger is itching for him to go loud, but tactically that's unsound. He's waiting to at least learn where Vorn is, and if possible, get the target in hand before he starts shooting. That's the plan.

Crusader has posed:
As Captain America moves through blind spots and avoiding cameras, he may overhear some conversations. Something about 'Putting a person on Ice', having to 'hire' a damn technopath, and hoping that whoever that caught doesn't get out. Vorn specialy is known to be alot more violent prone than his counterpart Crusader. Regardless as Cap heads for the east side, an armored door with two gaurds can be found. No one was placed on the roof, so he remains unnoticed.

Cable own purposful investigation does reveal infomation as well. After peeking into several labs, that Vorn was being held in a lab in the lowest levels of the facility. Unfortantly, as he was gathering this infomation, a patrol circles around and one guard begins to call out into his comm"We have an intruder!"

Captain America has posed:
Captain America triangulates his shield to smack one in the head, bounce off the other amd hit him in the head at the same time kicks both in the head from above, rolling to the side as he does.

Cable has posed:
"Stupid." Cable says. It could be about himself or the guard calling in the intruder. Cable whips his gun to bear and with his left palm outstretched with his thumb being used to brace his gun the man squeezes the trigger enough to send out a three round burst. Three lead hunks sent flying through the air to incapacitate, kill, or at least distract the front of the patrol.

He's moving forward as his gun goes off so he can get into close quarters combat with the men. Much faster and much more silent. He needs to work within those parameters as much as possible. Depending on their level of armor.

Crusader has posed:
The guards are knocked out, hitting the floor with a heavy thud. And while this wouldn't have brought the attention of nearby people...the actions happening below too. An alarm sounds "INTRUDER ALERT. SOMEONE HAS INFILTRATED OUR FACILITY!" the sound of boots thundering and people begin rushing to their positions can be heard.

And underground wasn't gettingn any better! Steel thick doors were begining to decend down to cover the labs entrenches. They were going on lock down. The three round burst drops the guard, and his comarades jump to the side. As they tries to fire back on Cable, they both find themselves at a disavanatge when Cable manages to get into melee range faster than they could react.

Captain America has posed:
Captain America sighs. It is never easy. Anticipating someone might open the door for him, he hides amd waits then ambushes when the door does, throwing his shield and administering a flying kick going deeper inside.

Cable has posed:
Using his infected hand to reach up and grab at the guards and with a squeeze of his mechanical hand, he tries to crush a man's face while bringing up his rifle over the man's shoulder, and spinning putting his foes body between Cable and the other standing men, and just squeezing the heck out of his trigger, opening up on the tightly packed patrol group.

Crusader has posed:
The guard got a chest full of Steve and the man slides down the stairs unconciouse by the end of it. And likely with a concussion to his noggin! No one was following him as it seem they were trying to make sure no one else was getting in. One can even be heard exclaiming "Who left the damn door open!" and slamming it shut not bothering to check why it was open. That being said, as Cap made it to the bottom, he can see one patrol heading directly towards him. And upon spotting him, break out their guns to open fire. A group behind them were seeming to head with urgency to another area.

Well that man face is crushed by the mechanical hand. His muffled screams being the last words he utters. But on the bright side, a dead meat shield is best meet shield. The body soaks up the damage from oncomming bullets. Meanwhile the patrols that were fireing back were falling like flies.

Captain America has posed:
Captain America puts his shield down and plays human nine pins. He may not be the thing but he is still super strong and vibranium on a chuckle head is likely to scatter and let him move past!

Rogue has posed:
Rogue was called from the Avengers mansion to aide in this fight across the river. She'd tossed on a bodysuit designed specifically for her by the master craftsmen that worked for the Avengers (green and white suit with a hood and a white scarf around her neck) and she's soaring through the air toward New Jersey.

Up in the sky, the southern belle scans the horizon looking for the spot she was told to go to. "Rogue here. Lookin' for Captain Rogers." She says over the Avengers comm unit while her eyes scan the city and she dips lower in her flight pattern. "Whats goin' on down here?" She adds in her southern flavored voice.

Cable has posed:
"Punks." Cable mutters to no one before he tosses the body and spins away, putting his back to a large I-beam and almost throwing his rifle over his shoulder where it locks into place against his back. He reaches to his belt and pulls out a baseball sized disk... and spins it like a top but it goes to a few inches above the floor to hover above the ceiling, and it starts to spin in the air for several moments before. KABOOM!

The grenade goes off and he was trying to collapse the hallway if possible, but Cable is moving to the other side of the hallway and using his metal arm to smash into one of the iron doorways.

Crusader has posed:
Chaos. Chaos is the answer. The spot wasn't to hard to find, large open space, people with guns at the windows of a warehouse, looking like they had gun happy trigger fingers. The sound of a grenade going off was also apparent
In matter of fact, several people fall as the ground partially collapses. Guns scatter and some go off killing a few of the people that were guarding the place, and some were merely injured. And some were runningin a panic
The bullets richoets off Captain America shield with ease, the bullets unable to penetrate the shield. And the shield comming around din't help matter. As the shield bounces, each person drops to the ground. Some unconciouse, a few with better head protection seemed extreamly disoriented
The collapses tunnel would at least insure no one would be comming after Cable yet. But there were other hall ways and only so much time. It takes a few bangs, but Cable is able to eventualy break through the iron doorway into one of the labs.

Captain America has posed:
Captain America radios back to Rogue. "Heavily engaged. Crusader sounds to be in trouble. A contracted technopath is here to put him on ice. Assist would be good." He sends his location via the comm. He uses a complex series of kicks and punches on the stunned patrol and kept looking for Crusader.

Rogue has posed:
"Roger that, Rogers." Rogue replies over the commline and then reaches up to adjusted her hood ontop of her head so it sits nice and low over her brow to shield out the setting sunlight. She then slides her gloved hands and covered arms back along her sides and soars downward at an intense angle toward the gunmen! One thing Rogue hates, is guns, never liked them and finds them to only ever be an ends to a messy means.

Rogue zips down toward any gunmen out in the open with the intention of flying right into them and ripping their weapons out of their hands! "Explosions too, huh? Ain't even the fourth'a July yet... ya'll be celebratin' early!"

Cable has posed:
Beneath the actual heroes, Cable is in the labs of this facility, in the subterranian levels and he's looking for a figure to try and stop this anti-mutant organization from abusing mutants and end a war before it begins. The man's arm rips the door out of it's frame, bending it to get a grip and bending it further as he yanks it out and Cable walks into the lab. "Where's Vorn?" He asks a techie looking figure by grabbing the man's lapels with his organic hand and pulling a pistol from his holster with his inorganic hand and pressing it to the man's temple.

Crusader has posed:
Top Side was not pretty! The civilians turned soldier fire upon Rogue when they could! Some smarted up and ran away. But they were simply ordinary bullets. Some may hit, some may miss...but in the end Rogue was cleaning house. She manages to rip guns away from several people! One of the braver (ahem dumber) actually try to jump ontop of her saying "Whit would yer kind know of that!?"
As Captain American continues looking, he will eventually end up by Cable, in time to hear an answer given to cable, the man with a mechanical arm. The techie was shaking and says in a quivering voice "It....its in the bottom lab! Th-th-the stairs just down the hall should b-b-b-be the m-most dir...direct route. PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!" he begs eyes closed as he feels the gun agaist his temple. The other scientest were back agaist the wall. Unarmed, and none dareing to try and take on a man who can rip open doors.

Captain America has posed:
Captain America says, "Yeah. Please don't kill him." Cap didnt know Cable but he did know the guy wasnt with the others and ran past him toward the bottom lab. He informed SHIELD of the need for a dragnet. These guys had to go. "Target located. I think." If Cable doesnt maul the scientist and comes with Cap asks"Nice gear. What is your name?"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue snatches guns out of thugs hands and rips them to shreds two at a time, tossing the parts around her as she goes. When one of the gunmen jumps onto her and spittle-shouts into her face she glances over at him and then takes hold of him by his shoulders. Rogue shoots up into the air and she holds the man out in front of her and stares right into his eyes, her green pupils just staring at his face... he's not strong enough to do anything to her and she knows it. "I know, plenty, sugah." She says at him then as she pulls him toward her and gives him a nice big kiss to his forehead! The kiss lasts just long enough to make the man black-out and then she tosses him aside toward a dumpster filled with garbage bags!

Cable has posed:
Cable grimaces at Captain America and he waits for the Avenger to walk away. He does let go of the scientist and yet, once Steve has left the room, Nathan's gun goes off. The man experiments on mutants, he is working for a group to hurt mutants. His people. No. This is not something the dude abides.

Cable does follow behind Steve, from a distance, he doesn't want to start anything with the leader of the Avengers, but Vorn must be recovered. And not by the Avengers.

Crusader has posed:
Rogue 1 - Anti-Mutant Activist ZERO! A bunch of trash goes fliying up and out like a mushroom cloud. The lid slams shut with a minor bounce, the only thing being herd was the echoing groan. By this time, due to Steve call in, SHIELED vehicles were comming in, trying to catch the people fleeing the scene! But Rogue would also here something else...

As Steve approached the lab, there a sonic cry that rings through the comm. It was headache inducing from the comm. But for Steve - it slams him agaist a wall and knocks him out cold. he won't be answering over the comms any time soon.

Cable having kept a distance wasn't effected. But he would see the source of the scream. A very young mutant...no more than perhaps 11 or 12. Upon seeing Cable, their eyes widen and the door lock is hit, slamming it closed.

Through some thick, bullet proof windows, the lab can be seen, and it had other mutants. One had circuit board like markings...and was sweating up a storm. The technopath was trying to keep Vorn under. Vorn himself was in a cyclinder of frozen water kept cool by liquid nitrogen, frozen, looking like an orc gone berzerk but unable to do anything. There was three other people. One was a scientist, the other a guard and the third was currently an unknown, but did looked roughed up as well.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue hovers in the air long enough to hear the sonic blast and narrow her eyes after covering her hands over her ears. "Ouch." She mutters, her eyes glancing back to see SHIELD/Police/Whatever coming up to the site. She then scans after the gunmen fleeing, so she swoops low and gathers up a whole separate dumpster to fly it over top of the group running... she flies overhead of them and dumps the trash all out down onto them!

"Serves ya right, ya filthy scum!" Rogue shouts back at them as she soars over toward the SHIELD vehicles and settles the now-empty-dumpster down onto the side of the road.

Cable has posed:
Cable does something he hates having to do and yet, there's a job to be done and he's got no other options. "Hey asshole!" He cries out as his fist is slammed down against the glass, trying to get the technopath's attention. "Leave them alone." Cable demands, his inorganic eye beginning to glow as he opens his fist and pressed his palm against the glass. His telekinesis reaches into the room and pulls the offender towards the glass, towards him, at an incredible speed if he can.

Crusader has posed:
The runners get dumped on...quite litterly by Rogue. They trip and fall and get tangled up in garbage. And the smell...the SMELL!!! It may as well have been a stink bomb! On the bright side - this made it very easy for SHIELD operative to pick them up. One of them says "Rogue, Captain American not answering his comm. See what you can find out while we clean up out here"

The technopath didn't even seem to register Cable pull. Even as he is hurled toward the glass his concentration was on Vorn. It only stops when body hits class, denting and cracking it, and knocking him out. The unknown...evidently the telepath who was keeping the other focused looks to Cable...and grabs the younger mutant defensively as the lab technician and Guard turn to cable.
The two mutant back into a corner...when Vorn icy prison begins to melt and crack. No longer kept under by the technopath...the anger was rolling off of him.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue comes to a trotting-landed place in front of the SHIELD Operative who speaks to her. She glances back over her shoulder in the direction that she knew Captain Rogers was in and then she looks back to the Operative. "Got it. Shouldn't be hard t'find him if he's got his locator on." And with that she reaches up to adjust her hood and turn around back toward the site. She lifts up off the ground and starts to glide through the sky toward said building. Rogue moves to find an entrnace to the facility and she lifts up her wrist computer to bring up the location tracking on nearby Avengers... "Where you at, Cap." Rogue mutters while gliding along and using the fancy holo-display thing to locate the Thawed-Out Relic / Hot Guy with Metal Shield!

Cable has posed:
Cable squints his eye at the remaining telepath and yet he's done all he can. For now. He does part by still holding the technopath's unconscious body in his telekinetic grip and throws the body towards Vorn and his captor. It's time for Cable to get out of here before he gets caught or worse.

Crusader has posed:
Steve Roger locator paints him as being underground below the building. Of course that might be slightly less problem matic than the fact scientist, guards, etc where running out.
Mainly becuase nothying was keeping Vorn under. Cable left, and the technopath hits the control panel as Vorn finally breaks free with a roar. However what REALLY happened down there might remains a mystery. The young screamer was carried by the telepath looking as if they seen a ghost. And the technopath having woken up from his stupor had already grabbed Steve and was running with them towards Rogue. He exclaims "Get out! This place is going down!"
And he ment it, Vorn could be heard inside tearing the place apart. It was get out or perhaps get dead. Who knows, as SHIELD would have to do some serious digging to figure out what happened down there
