Date of Scene: 09 October 2018
Location: Starling
Synopsis: Supergirl and Darkhawk come face to face with... Zippy
Cast of Characters: Darkhawk, Supergirl

Darkhawk has posed:
"Speedsters... boy do I hate speedsters" intoned Darkhawk, who looked significantly worse for wear. Thankfully, his adversary hadn't learned all the tricks, or Darkhawk would already be dead. As it stood, his helmet's red visor had cracked. He'd lost some armour plating. His claw had shattered from friction. And he was stuck flying over the city as the green form zigzagged all over at breakneck speeds.

It had been a tough week for him too, having broken his right arm. Thankfully, this wasn't armour. It was actually something he was connected to, through means he didn't understand, and it wasn't in fact his body. "I could use some back up here." He said again on the intercom, for like the tenth time. Whatever had occupied the others must have been big.

Supergirl has posed:
There is no response for a moment then a staticy voice comes through. "I'm on my way."

Supergirl is on the way although she was on the other side of the planet almost. She quickly went out of the atmosphere and shot through space. A sonic boom anounced her arrival in the city, shaking windows and setting off car alarms.

A streak of red and blue in the sky then she is hovering next to Darkhawk. "Whoa! Sorry, there was a typhoon and I was helping rescue people. What did that to you?"

Darkhawk has posed:
It's a good thing that Alpha Flight were insured for such things as the car alarms and broken windows, though they were supposed to try and avoid such things in an urban area. If Darkhawk were capable of emotion, he would have been elated to see Supergirl on the scene. But that mask was as stoic as ever. "Glad to see you Supergirl - she did," and he pointed at the green form that moved too quickly for a positive identification, though Darkhawk had gotten a decent look during the battle. "I'm just glad I didn't lose too many feathers," his wings were in quite a state. If he could do it safely, he's switch our androids, but with that speedster around, he'd never know for certain she didn't see his change.

Supergirl has posed:
Glancing down at the blur of color, Supergirl is able to actually see the person that is causing the chaos. One second she is there, the next she is blurring toward the ground but not so fast as to cause any more damage.

She gets to street level and flies up alongside the speedster. "Excuse me, please pull over. I need to see your license and registration as you are exceeding the speed limit for this roadway."

Darkhawk has posed:
Zippy, the woman in the green costume with white accents, says, "beat it caper," and runs towards a building, phasing through it by moving between the molecules. It seems she understood that trick of speed.

Darkhawk continued to fly and try and track her, but she wasn't really going in a straight line, or any pattern he could discern to her running. Mostly, he thought "she's just toying with us. She hasn't even done anything, except try and break me into a million pieces." In actuality, she had robbed three banks and a jewellery store while fighting Darkhawk. And all without him having a clue. Boy did he hate speedsters.

Supergirl has posed:
"Oh that was just rude," Supergirl mutters, her voice able to be heard over the comms. "I thought I was being very polite. I even quipped! Sort of. I'm still trying to get the hange of that," she says to Darkhawk as she clears the top of the building the speedster went through. She hovers there, looking to see which way the woman comes out.

Darkhawk has posed:
Zippy doubled back, going back through the building in the opposite direction. Pretty impressive that she slowed down that quickly. Darkhawk intoned over the communicator, "very rude. You were polite. Though, is it actually illegal to run a certain speed here?" He honestly did not know, even though he had a Crown Attorney for a mother. "So, what's the usual way to stop a speedster? Did your cousin ever cover that in the booklet? Trying to hit her fists with my face, wings, back, and claws didn't work out so well for me."

Supergirl has posed:
"Well, I can get to the same speed as her. Wonder how she'll do if I hit her before she has time to adjust. I really should've asked Flash this the other day. Did I mention I met the Flash? And Green Lantern!" She had so much to fill him in on but things had been so busy of late. "Should've asked how to stop one. Let's go for my usual method. Hitting things."

And with that, Supergirl heads in to get up to the same speed as Zippy, comes up behind her and just goes for a haymaker to the jaw.

Darkhawk has posed:
Speedsters can move fast. But Kara is a super strong speedster. Zippy gets knocked flying, hitting into a wall. The thing is, Speedsters also generally heal really quickly, and when moving fast, they're way more durable than they would be otherwise. Zippy's costume even tears from hitting the wall, which crumbles in the impact, leving a large dent. She even took out a load bearing wall. That won't be good. In an effort to help, Darkhawk swooped in, hoping to use his dark force shield to pin her in place. But then the building began to collapse, and he had to use it to support the building. Zippy, shaking it off, smiled while her lip was dripping a little blood. "Thanks for the date blue boy, it was fun, but it's a school night." And she began running again, this time in a terribly confusing zig zag pattern, phasing through buildings, doubling back, trying to escape Supergirl's clutches.

Supergirl has posed:
"Oh shoot!" That was not supposed to happen. Supergirl quickly left the speedster alone and rushed to help Darkhawk with the damaged building. While he used his darkforce to hold it in place, she utilized her heat vision to repair rebar. "Be right back! Don't go anywhere!" Where she thinks he might be going at the moment, who knows.

She is gone a moment later in a whoosh of air. Then she finds what she is looking for at a nearby construction site. She's back almost as quickly as she left, putting some metal beams in place in order to support the portion of the building that was damaged. It isn't pretty but it should hold.

By the time the wall is saved, Zippy seems to be gone.

Darkhawk has posed:
"You're leaving?" He says incredulously, and can't help but quip, "there isn't a sale at the mall that's about to expire, is there? Because if there is, I could use some new shoes, maybe a nice jacket. Or a beret? I could totally rock a beret."

Supergirl has posed:
As the repairs are in progress, Supergirl glances over. "It would go nice with the armor. But I think we'll skip the beret. It would just fall off a lot." Once they are done with the building saving, she turns to face her teammate. "You look like poop." Yes, she said the word poop instead of that other word. "We should get you back to base so you can switch out."

Darkhawk has posed:
"Did you just say poop?" He asked. That mask wasn't capable of a smile, but any witness would probably swear there was a smirk on the face. But he looked down, and over himself, "yeah... I'm so glad this thing is self-repairing." With that, he took off, flying up thanks to the boosters in his feet, and using what was left of the wings to guide and glide somewhat. It was a very efficient means of flight. "Last one there gets to be called Darkhawk!" He called out, knowing he would never beat her there unless she wanted him to.

Supergirl has posed:
Supergirl rises into the air with him, keeping pace. "I do kinda like that name. So if I take it, that means you have to be Supergirl. We'll put a little skirt on your armor." And with that she laughs and flies ahead a little but keeping an eye on him to be sure his armor doesn't have some major blowout before they get back to the mansion.
