Cast of Characters: Green Arrow, Arsenal, Black Canary

Green Arrow has posed:
It's been a while since Arsenal aka The former Bow Bowman has been seen in the Bunker, of Olivers unofficial term for it; the quiver. There's been news about Oliver himself, of course. That Zetaport deal with Rand. His shacking up with Dinah Drake, and his part in the global war against the fungus and now the Shadow Kings crime spikes.

Tonight, he's preparing for another night out. In the workshop, some arrows are being built for his hi-tech quiver in light of recent events. His suit is on, with hood down and mask off, and the Skybike is parked in the garage at the end of the city wide tunnel network Oliver's had built over the years in secret. It's a quiet night, with himself being the only one down there right now.

The last time Arsenal was down here, it was a fairly simple setup... but Olivers had a long time to setup the Bunker to be much more sophisticated. Now, it's tied into traffic cams, public databases and police calls, and a few other fun informational additions that vigilantes would find useful. It's a definite league above what it used to be.

Arsenal has posed:
Roy knew how to get in.

He was dressed in his usual black and red body armor with a red hood covering his head and a black domino mask covering his face to hide his identity. He wields a compact, ultra-modified and reinforced red longbow with a full quiver on his back. To add a bit of flair, he wears a black trench coat that further makes him seem like a stranger.

He's grown since last Ollie saw him.

For example, his hair was longer, coming down to about his jaw with a subtle beard on his face as well, his emerald green eyes shine forwards as he takes a subtle look around. How did he arrive, you might ask? Well, the elevator of course. He knew the code.

"I leave for what? A few months and everything goes to shit."

Green Arrow has posed:
The elevator of course beeped to alert Oliver there was a visitor. The code Oliver had given Arsenal so long ago even announced his presence, "Incoming visitor: Arsenal." The female voice sounds through the Bunker before the man himself comes down.

"Arsenal?" Oliver quietly gives in a statement/question, "Wednesday, set security to standby." Oliver crisply snaps off to the custom AI operating the Bunker, before he takes his own black and green custom compound bow with a number of features that tie it into the mechanical quiver he himself uses. The quiver is snapped on, and a neural command has a net arrow constructed and nooked in under a second. Hood up and mask on, the arrow is already aimed at Arsenal when he appears. The voice is what gets him to stand down when he hears it, the bow lowering into standby for the moment, "it's been a bit longer than that, son." The arrow is replaced in the quiver, and Arsenal can easily see the mechanical elements of that quiver take the arrow and deconstruct it, "welcome back." The bow is tossed aside, and Oliver steps forward, ready to hug Roy, "It's been too long."

Arsenal has posed:
Roy Harper lowered his hood to reveal his firey, redhead hair and features. "Hey boss." He sets his bow on one of the tablea nd embraces Oliver, who's always been like a father to the more rebellious Arsenal, tightly. "I take it you missed me?" He says in classic Roy humor. Eventually though, he'll pull away though and pat Oliver's shoulder with a gloved hand.

"Thanks. I figured I should come back here eventually....After I had my time in the independant scene. But even then, nothing's bigger than family." Oh yes, the arrow. At this point in Arsenal's career, his archery skill is equal to Oliver's own. He was trained well by the Green Arrow. He knows that arrow that Oliver put back into his quiver forwards and backwards...though it's surprisingly not a punching glove arrow.

Shame.

"So, what've I missed?"

Green Arrow has posed:
As Oliver steps back from the hug, he gets a good look over Roy, and his mask and hood are taken off. Oliver seems to be taking care of himself, at least. "Other then a series of upgrades to the bunker and my gear, and Starling turning into a mess after the fungus war? Dinah moved into the mansion as a live in girlfriend for now, and I've been working on keeping the crime rate in check since that asshole taking control of minds started to screw with people. Keeping the civilians out of the way has been ridiculous, let me tell you." Oliver gripes as he starts to head back to the workshop, "I've been working on some new gas arrows to make it easier."

Black Canary has posed:
Ding! The elevator door from the mansion above opens and said live-in girlfriend comes out. She looks a bit different than the last tome Roy was down here - the same basic bodysuit, but she now wears a mask herself, and a new choker around her throat with a canary embossing. She then blinks. "I did'nt know my phone could get texts...." She trails off, eyebrow raised. "Roy? Is that you? It's been too long!" She grins widely as she moves to join the two of you.

Arsenal has posed:
Roy nods. "Right...well, sounds like I missed some important shit. Though, if you're looking for a more neutralizing agent to the mind, I cracked up this." he pulls the arrow out of his own quiver and shows it to Oliver. "I fixed it up when I had to deal with a real psychic-psycho problem in Asia. Check it out and see it's components. I have a few others just like it." he even says the motto. "An arrow for everything." before he looks around, keeping his trench coat on, before he pauses.

"Wait...did you say you're living with Di-" then he turns around to see his favorite leotard-wearing badass. "Hey blondie." Roy says with a smile in greeting for her.

Green Arrow has posed:
Oliver steps into the workshop, then comes right back out, looking to Dinah as she steps out of the elevator, "she's usually at her shop or out in the field, but she lives upstairs now." Oliver confirms for Roy, his own arrow from the workshop put down on a nearby table, before he takes Roys arrow and looks it over, "Seems like mind fuckery is the order of the month." Oliver quips as he studies it.

After a few moments, Oliver looks to Dinah, "You can take off the mask around him, I've been keeping feelers out listening for him. He's calling himself Arsenal now. I wasn't expecting him, but it's the same code I gave him for getting down here." Oliver notes to Dinah.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake nods. "Oh, I know. He's like a nephew of yours." She smiles as she pulls the mask off. "Still not used to this mask. Glad that nobody seemed to catch on in the media that I know of." She then opens her flipphone, staring at it. "I didn't know this thing could get texts."

Arsenal has posed:
Roy looks to Oliver and he nods. "Well, apparantly." He laughs, before he looks over to Dinah and gives her a 'hang loose' kind of classic surfer gesture. "Yeah, I've just been gone awhile." he shrugs, but tiltsh is head. "should you really have a phone down here? Hope it has a secure connection or we're pretty royally fucked Dinah." he teases her, but he nods to Oliver. "Figured I outgrew Speedy."

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake frowns at the phone. She pushes a button to turn it off. "Oh. I don't know much about these. Flowers, loud noises, and kicking ass are my three specialities. "Arsenal, huh?" she finally asks. "Do you use a whole arsenal of weaponry, or just bows and arrows soon? I should show you the joys of escrima sticks. Heck, I'm even considering trying nunchucks and/or blades."

Arsenal has posed:
Roy laughs a little bit. "Relax, I was just teasing. and I use pretty much everything. throwing knives, escrima sticks, bo staffs, machine guns, swords, handguns, bazookas, even a sweet lazer cannon I found once. It was pretty sick." he gives a thumbs up to Dinah.

Seems Roy's been through some shit. "Swords are pretty sweet."

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake nods slowly. "Yeah... but a good ol' fist still works well. And my delightful singing voice." She hmmmmms. "So - where are you going to crash for now? Maybe Ollie can let you use a guest room or something - not sure what he wants to do."

Green Arrow has posed:
"She's about as tech savvy as my shoes, so I've had to improvise. The flip-phone has it's own custom VPN network through Queen Consolidated. The encryption is top grade, and switches every day to a random address." Oliver offers in explanation, "If I thought it wasn't secure, I would have banned her from bringing any down here." Oliver notes.

Then, Oliver crosses his arms as he looks back to Roy, "I figured you'd have your own setup, but if you want a guest room in the mansion until you do, all you need to do is ask." Oliver offers.

Arsenal has posed:
Roy looks to Oliver with a bit of a chuckle. "Heh, way to save her tech-oblivious ass. But, I currently don't have a spot anymore. Been abroad. I figured I could get a room with the Titans or use some of what's leftover of my funds to buy a little apartment. But, I'll happily take a room here for a few days."

He gives a thumbs up then, before looking to Dinah. "I prefer a good old arrow."

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake just stares, then shrugs. "Oh, so my phone's safe..." She turns it back on, sliding it back into her pocket. "Anyway. I'm sorry if my 'tech-oblivion ass' causes issues. But I think we're a good team. You should meet Yin too. She helps us sometimes."

Green Arrow has posed:
"Just keep to your wing of the mansion and you'll be fine. Me and Dinah tend to keep to the west end." Oliver states with a hint of amusement, before he starts moving over to his bow, "if you've been practicing, let's see it." Oliver smirks to Arsenal, "See if you can beat the old man."

Arsenal has posed:
"Oof, no thank you. I'll stick to my own wing for VERY obvious reasons." Because he knows Ollie is a charmer. Arsenal then moves over to his bow once again, picking it up in his hand. "Oh? Well, I know your aim has wavered a bit with age, old man." Roy Harper, poking the bear as always.

"Let's see what you got." he looks to Dinah too in a side manner. "Well, she sounds nice."

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake hmmmmmms softly as she murmurs 'Boys with Their Toys'. She then smiles faintly. "Well... if I'm going to literally join this family - perhaps I should practice my archery too." She goes to fetch a bow from the armory. "A more subtle ranged attack could be good. My Cry... speaks for itself. Literally."

Green Arrow has posed:
That gets Oliver stopping in his tracks, then looking back to Dinah. "You... want to learn archery?" Oliver states with both a hint of poking fun and incredulousness, "Well, pigs just flew over the mansion too, I suppose." Oliver continues, before he steps into the training area... and the shooting/archery range at the back, "Tell you what, honey. I'll get you started with the basics after we're done here. Right now, I want to see what Roy can do. Alright?" Oliver states, before he slaps the launching machine on button in the center of the range. "Five seconds." Oliver states in confirmation as he gets to one of the positions.

Five seconds pass, and a pair of baseballs get shot at the back wall, one for Oliver, and one for Roy. Oliver nooks, and fires after a second.

Perfect bullseye.

Arsenal has posed:
Five seconds? Well alright. Roy seems ready, though also takes a moment to look curiously at Dinah, but once he hears that ball fly out? He turns sharply, in almost blinding speed, Roy already has the arrow knocked and pulled back and an instant later, he fires it, watching as the arrow pierces straight through the ball and pins it through the wall.

Dead Center. Bullseye.

He looks to Ollie and gives a smirk.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake moves to the launcher. "Well - let's try this again," she notes, as she aims it a bit higher and then hits the button to fire two more balls. She's aiming to make them more unpredictable. She does so enjoy watching Ollie work with his arrows.

Green Arrow has posed:
"You've gotten better." Oliver notes with a hint of pride for his former sidekick, "Wednes-"

He's cut short as Dinah hits the manual release, sending another pair out, "if you want to hit the button, I'm all for that. I was going to have wednesday handle that." Oliver explains as he aims for the baseball. Another fired. Another perfect hit.

Arsenal has posed:
Roy hears the button being clicked again, before he looks to Dinah. "Could you not just do that? I mean, I'm a big fan of the sport and all-" and while his attention is completely on Dinah, he draws an arrow, nocks it in, and fires it in an instant flat.

He hits bullseye. Without looking. A red arrow pinning the ball to the wall. "But come on, sportsmanship! warning first." he winks at the blonde.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake just grins. "Alright, boys! Rapid-fire time!" She then spams the button, sending a dozen balls out. "I've seen Ollie shoot six baseballs in seconds. See what you two can do?" she asks as she waits for the show.

Green Arrow has posed:
"Don't look at me, I don't know where she's getting it." Oliver muses as she starts to rapid fire the baseballs. "Don't let it be said she doesn't make things interesting at times."

The practice quiver is steadily emptied of arrows as each baseball is hits. The last one, Oliver angles so the arrow managed to pin it dead center on the wall.

A dead bullseye on a dead bullseye.

"I should probably get more targets in here besides baseballs and sheets." Oliver comments, mostly to himself from the sounds of it.

Arsenal has posed:
"Well, I definitely am lookin' at ya Ollie. SHe probably picked it up from you." Roy teases the older Arrow, and as soon as the rapid fire baseballs are being fired, Roy is smart. He takes out half of his quiver, knocks one arrow, keeps the rest in the grip of his fingers, and he fires arrow after arrow in rapid succession without having to waist so much time drawing an arrow from his quiver when it's already ready.

Every arrow he fires is a bullseye, and eventually, he fires the last two arrows and they both hit the deadeye...but it's not a bullseye on a bullseye like Ollie's is. "Okay...I blame that I didn't have a target behind mine." he narrows his eyes at Ollie.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake shrugs. "Keep practicing, Roy. But regardless, having both of you hwere will really take a bite out of crime." She smiles faintly. "I miss McGruff the Crime Dog. I have all the videos in my house on VHS tapes." She just takes a spare bow, and nocks it a few times to get the hang of it.

Green Arrow has posed:
"I try to keep up the muscle memory. Nothing wrong with doing the rapid fire posture, though." Oliver nods, before he places his bow on the practice range, and starts to head over to Dinah. When she's drawing back the bow, he simply starts to grab sections of the body, and shifts her stance. "Before you can get into anything advanced, you'll need to do the foundation first."

With a look to Roy, Oliver inquires, "Think we can finish this later, son?"

Arsenal has posed:
Roy bahs and just shrugs. "Yeah." He looks to Dinah. "Oh please, I have all the practice in the world. I'm his equal if not better." Oh Roy is happy to poke that bear all he wants. But he shrugs. A look to Ollie as he trains with Dinah and he just puts his collapsible bow onto a proper holster on his back. "Ah huh. You two just....yeah." and he wanders off.
