It Looks Nicer on the Outside

Synopsis:	Wanda shares a drink with John, and her brother. Nobody was hurt in the making of this scene.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda is not a frequent guest at bars. This much is true. In fact, it's debatable given who you talk to as to whether or not she drinks at all (she does, but that's not the point). Which begs, when she could be having a nice cup of tea with House, as to why she's here at McAnally's having a drink.

Now before you get all excited and 'aha!' - it's in a clear tea mug, and looks distinctly like a tea, and unless you're sipping it, you'll never known if it's just a tea, or..

And Wanda likes it that way.

As it happens, this day she fully expects she'll be joined by guests. No, meetings weren't set up ahead of time - it's just a feeling she has. They'll be along shortly.

Constantine has posed:
John on the other hand is a frequent guest at bars, and damn well drinks at all of them thank you very much. He happens to be a big fan of this one, and when he shrugs his way inside wrapped in that tan trenchcoat of his, he's greeted by a few nods from the regulars.

"Bloody cold out there," he says rubbing his hands together as he comes in out of the cold. "Mac, mate, make me a cup of coffee would ya?" he asks the bartender.

He gets a flat stare in return.

"You know, whiskey in it of course."

Mac nods as though all is right with the world again and sets to making his drink. As Mac does that, John wanders into the bar and spots Wanda. "Ah, you're here are you?" he asks. "Guess that means I have to wonder if I really wanted to go to the bar or if you just summoned me, hmm?"

Quicksilver has posed:
Then a blue blur.

Pietro never really got cold because his body always produced some great body heat when he ran. Even still, he zooms straight through the doors and running fast enough past John and straight to Wanda that John might do a classic, comedic little twirl!

In the blink of an eye he's right by his sister, giving her a big familial hug. "Hey Wanda. Are you alright?" His accent easily peeking through.

Then he turns to John. "Oh, another one of your friends that you haven't introduced me to?" Pietro gives John a once over. Was this the Nolan she kept talkin' about?

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda tries not to giggle at John, or look too utterly smug. "It might be that I wished to see you. Or maybe it is just that it is cold outside and you wanted a warm drink. My fingers were cold, too."

Shie lifts her cup to him as if to prove a point. And then, with even less preamble than John's, Pietro is there, giving her a hug, and threatening to slosh perfectly good (whiskey laced?) tea over the edges of her cup.

"You are doing all the sneaking up on people," Wanda scolds her brother lightly. "And of course you do not know all of my friends. This is what happens when you decide to run away for a forever and leave me alone." Pouting at him as she says this, even though her eyes twinkle merrily to suggest that she's not entirely serious about the scolding. "This is John Constantine. I do imagine you two will get along, as he is something of a rogue and a bad influence."

No, he's not this Nolan she speaks of. Though it's likely Pietro will be surprised when he finally does meet Wanda's mystery man.

Constantine has posed:
John chuckles and makes his way over to the bar, to grab his coffee. "I'll take that as a maybe then..." he says of him being here of his own accord or of Wanda's. Honestly it was all academic, not like he objected to being in a bar on a cold winter's night. Which reminded him... "Should have you over sometime soon, need you to talk to the house about central heating."

Then whoosh, sudden Pietro. John rears back and almost spills his coffee. "Whoa, easy there mate," John says before he has a chance to check him out, then he dials the indignation down a notch or two. "Ah, friend of yours is he?" he asks, taking a seat at Wanda's table.

"That's me alright," he says when Wanda gives his name and his reputation. "Call me John," he says lifting his coffee to the man.

Quicksilver has posed:
Pietro gives John a once over, as if IMMENSELY judgementally. "Oh really?" then he looks to his sister. "of course I am. I'm faster than you can even keep track." he teases her, and sits beside Wanda. "My name's Pietro. Pietro Maximoff. I'm the overprotective brother." the mutant stands up then, and eventually nods. "Nice to meet you, John."

Good, Pietro doesn't have to kill him. His name isn't Nolan. THAT SAID. Pietro then looks to Wanda. "And I did not leave you alone. We need to talk about what happened some time soon."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda lightly elbows Pietro. "You be nice."

Then tells John, "He is my miscreant brother." Painting them both with the 'rogue' brush, even as Pietro explains his relation to Wanda himself.

She laughs lightly at her brother. "I do not need all the protecting, you know. It is not like I am not a powerful witch on my own." More than a witch, but the rest of what she is takes a lot of explaining and hasn't a simple title. Though 'Powerful Woman' would likely do in a pinch.

Now that everyone is here, she suggests a table. "Yes? For us all to sit compfortably? We could have some food, too." Since they were being all social and the like.

Constantine has posed:
John smiles at that introduction. "Overprotective brother, huh?" he asks merrily. "Normally, not a fan of those, in this case though, not my problem," he says. "Though for the record, my house may be flirting with her, not sure, can only hear Wanda's side of that conversation."

He smiles to himself then knowing what he said probably sounded like nonsense to Pietro. "Anyhow, when did this little family reunion happen?" he asks the pair of them over another sip of coffee.

Quicksilver has posed:
Pietro raises a brow. "Your house...is flirting...with my sister?" can Pietro kick the shit out of a house? Maybe if he gets enough momentum. He glances to Wanda. "Miscreant? More like loving." He crosses his arms with a huff. "Says you. You're still to easy to trust, and that can get you into plenty of trouble." he doesn't know who John is. If he heard about his more specific background?

Perhaps Pietro is wise to be nervous.

His head turns to look at John again. "Just a few days ago, when I was looking for my sister and she ended up finding me." He shrugs lightly.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
"Miscreant," Wanda repeats, with assertion. "You may love me, but you are also trouble. It is only that I do love you back." She sips calmly from her tea, and informs, "I do not know. I do not think I trust too easily." She may very well, but then again, it's part of not only her charm, but the innocence that keeps her in check. "Besides, you would not like me if I were all curmudgeonly and suspicious."

She looks John's way, and insists, "He likes to pretend he is a very bad man, but he is also very good deep down inside. House would not put up with him if he were not." As to House flirting with her, Wanda's green eyes twinkle at that. It's entirely likely House /is/ flirting with her. She certainly doens't seem bothered by that fact, though.

Constantine has posed:
John nods, "Yeah, got a mind of it's own, my house, but that's what you get when you win your place in game of poker with some demons," he says offering a little shrug as he takes a sip of his coffee.

"An' Wanda can afford to be trusting, power she's got, it's the rest of us that's got to watch out," he observes.

"Oy! Not so loud, you'll ruin my rep," John complans. "Besides, good or not, I still bring all sorts of trouble with me. So, good or bad at heart don't really matter."

Quicksilver has posed:
Pietro just looks at Wanda. "Don't make me use mean names too." Pietro looks at Wanda. "I know you better than you know you, dear sister. You trust far too easily." and when that trust gets broken, it's usually never pretty and shit tends to get wrecked.

He glances to John. "Oh does he?" he teases John. "I know. I'm her brother. All we truly have is each other." he looks at Wanda then. the closest-knit siblings Ever.

He seems to narrow his eyes at Wanda. Well, whatever.

"I'm thirsty." Pietro orders a whiskey.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
"You think you know me better than I know myself," Wanda says softly. But he'd be right on the other - it was a fact that when Wanda lost her temper, or her control, things tended to go very, very badly. It was one of the reasons she was being pointed ever so firmly towards realizing, and accepting, that power was her nature, and denying it wasn't going to change that. She'd been making strides in the direction, but she wasn't fully there yet. Which meant there was always that looming threat of things imploding at inopportune times.

The last time it had happened, she'd stripped a fellow mutant fully of their powers. Admittedly, she'd intended to do it to Magneto, but at the last second she'd done it to someone else. The dawning horror of what she'd done had caused her to leave her father be, but hte guilt of that act still ate at Wanda. As did the unsettled matter of breaking him out of a high security SHIELD facility..

Constantine has posed:
"You still sane, mate?" John asks Pietro. "Then trust me, Wanda here knows hereself better than you know her. She stands on a very tricky tightrope, the sort that comes with deep magic, it's not a struggle any of us would want to understand, trust me on that."

He takes a sip of his coffee, then downs the whole thing. "Yeah, a whiskey here too," he calls.

"Anyhow, family's tough, always is, lord knows me and my sister never get on. Always think we know what's best for the other. Never right though, not that it stops us."
