Doctor Doom has posed:
Latveria, a lab somewhere in Castle Doom.

Harrison has been given a fairly sweet setup. There are well appointed quarters where he wants for nothing aside from his freedom, and there is a sophisticated Virtual Reality setup that allows him to interact back home with a DoomBuilt(tm) robot that is able to serve as Harrison's replacement. Almost, anyway. That's why he has the VR setup. The robot has an AI, so it can learn how to better act like the scientist and fill in when he's asleep or otherwise indisposed, watch experiments that only require watching, etc.

Attached to the quarters is a lab where Doom has designated that their collaboration will occur. It, too, is very well appointed with nearly everything needed that already exists and is known to be needed. It is here that Doom is located, and Harrison is summoned today.

Professor Zoom has posed:
No way to contact Gideon with instructions without revealing Gideons existence, and no way to get out of his gilded cage until he can manage to bypass security himself. The abduction means waiting for Doom to slip up and give Eobard the few seconds he needs to find a terminal. It might be a perfect opportunity to find a means of breaching the timestream as well.

For now, he had to bid his time... and cooperate just enough to keep from being forced to out himself.

Eobard Thawne... was nothing if not patient.

Dressed in a scientist white lab coat and glasses, 'Harrison Wells' was scoping out the security for the lab as he walked in. It was a pretty good setup... which meant that Doctor Doom was serious about this.

Doctor Doom has posed:
"Doctor Wells. I do hope you have been made comfortable, in spite of the forced cooperation?" Doom asks politely of the man.

Currently, the monarch is standing over a table with all manner of sensor equipment. On another table, there is Yet Another Robot, very much lacking a shell to cover it and its various bits and workings exposed to the world. There are cables hooked up, and all manner of diagnostic data scrolling on monitors nearby.

Professor Zoom has posed:
"I'll say this much, Mister Doom. You know how to make gilded cages." Harrison notes with a mild amusement to his tone as he sticks his hands into his lab coat and walks over to where the robot is. He peers down into it, observing the technology, "so. What do you want me for today?" Harrison looks up from the robot as he stares at the man from the other side of the table.

Doctor Doom has posed:
Turning to face Harrison, Doom replies, "I have reviewed the data retrieved from your Laboratory, and am currently working on a sensor suite to provide data about the Speed Force. I would like your input and assistance on refining the technology." He steps back from the table, which has not only the tech but schematics and diagrams of his concepts.

"I intend to install it in the robot over there, and see what we can gather from interacting with different users of the Speed Force." Doom reveals as he waits for the man to come check over the work.

Professor Zoom has posed:
"It'd help if I knew what you were trying to do with this." Harrison begins as he examines the insides of the robot. "The Speed Force itself is an multidimensional energy field that works in parallel to our own. Under tune your settings, and you'll get the background Speed Force energy that leaks into our world like residue from users all over the place. Overdo it, and it'll overload from the spike use that connected users have." Harrison is working through the sensors on the robot as he speaks, his tone straining as he makes corrections.

"This technology is good for isolating Speedsters regionally, and telling if a speedster was in the area recently. It can't breach the extradimensional space the Speed Force is located in."

Doctor Doom has posed:
"As I mentioned before, I am a student of the universe, Doctor. I wish to explore the Speed Force; divine its secret, discover its uses. I want to know the extent technology can manipulate it, or if it is something only gifted individuals can obtain. And of course, if it is something I can have within my grasp, then all the better for me and my beloved Latveria." Doom replies calmly; of course, there's no way to tell at this point if he has a specific goal in mind. The man doesn't really give away anything he hasn't intended to.

He considers the technology he has before him, quiet for the moment. "Disappointing." he responds to the assessment Harrison has provided. "Then, setbacks are expected in any new research."

Professor Zoom has posed:
"Technology can to some extent manipulate and detect the Speed Force." Harrison offers as he finishes his adjustments. "The problem is that the Speed Force is normally an energy field so vast and chaotic that controlling it in that fashion requires far more energy on your end than is worthwhile." Harrison gestures over the robot, "There's a reason I haven't made any breakthroughs at Future Solutions in that area. If it could be safely channeled in a manner that allows for general use, I'd have done it by now."

He looks back to Doom, then, "for some reason, human based conduits are the more stable way to channel the energy... and I haven't discovered the means of creating that tunnel."

It's a half truth; he doesn't know how to create that connection with modern technology, at least.

Doctor Doom has posed:
"Well then, Doctor Wells, it is fortunate for the both of us that I have brought you here. We can find a solution to that problem together, even if it means creating the technology ourselves." Doom replies quite calmly; it appears he is not easily deterred by simple problems such as lacking breakthroughs or extant technology.

He approaches the doctor, "What about the human based conduits; have you discovered a reliable method for connecting them with the Speed Force? If so, that may solve some of our problem."

Professor Zoom has posed:
"I haven't found any Speed Force users willing to be tested enough to check." Harrison shrugs at Doctor Doom, "as you might imagine, it'd be an extensive probing of weaknesses and strengths... and I haven't been visited by any Speedsters willing to be that vulnerable for me."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doctor Doom mms. "Willingness is clearly not a barrier to me, Doctor Wells." he says simply. He turns to focus on a console where the robot is being diagnosed, and keys in some commands and data. "What about you?"

Professor Zoom has posed:
"I have a reputation to maintain among the scientific global community, and it's morally objectionable to capture subjects for forced testing." Harrison frowns slightly, "even if I wanted to do it, I have no means of holding a Speedster in place anyway. The only material I could think of that could hold a speedster would be vibranium, and I have no access to that."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doctor Doom sounds intrigued as he responds, "Hmm." Then, "Now I wonder what magics might hold such a being still for a while." as he turns to face Harrison again. "So our problems here, if I understand correctly, Doctor, is a lack of a multidimensional capable sensor array to analyze the Speed Force as it channels from its dimension to our own. No reliable way of creating a - Speedster, as you call it - to use as a guinea pig. No existing Speedster willing to put themselves at your disposal. No current means of holding one /against/ their will. And," Doom leans in, "your /reputation/."

"Have I /missed/ anything, Doctor?" he inquires evenly.

Professor Zoom has posed:
"Mostly correct, except I know of a device that can analyze the energy as it comes through to our reality." Harrison interjects, his hands steepling at his waist as he watches Doctor Doom, "the problem is that it's extremely difficult to contain Speed Force energy in technology. It's highly unstable and volatile outside of a Speed Force conduit." He smiles, "Speed Force users, for some reason, are the most stable channelers I know of, and I haven't had a Speedster of that nature in my lab yet to find out why."

He shrugs, "the only two I can think of would be the Flash, and that new one running around calling himself Impulse. There may be others, but they don't come into the public eye very often."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doctor Doom hmms, "And this device..." he says as he gives Harrison a bit more space, "...is it your creation or someone else's?" He crosses an arm across his armor, resting the elbow of the other on it, and grasps his chin lightly in that hand. "If it is something you can build, I can look into increasing the stability."

Professor Zoom has posed:
"My own creation. I had a prototype at the Future Solutions building, but I can create a new one with a couple weeks and the right materials." Harrison smiles, evenly, "It's a rather bulky, sensitive system, so most of it has to be done with a special set of tools, alongside the machining that can be mass produced."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doctor Doom says, "Excellent; then I shall ensure you have what you need so we can build a new prototype." pleased with this information. "Let us get started, hm?"

Professor Zoom has posed:
"The tools themselves will take about a week to custom build." Harrison notes as he starts to head over to the machining shop. "The micro-circuitry will take it's own custom press. I'd imagine you have the technology here to work on that, though." Harrison notes. He's almost talking to himself now as he starts to get to work. Taking the safety gear from the shop, he starts working on building something.

"I'll have a list of what I need by the end of the day." He states offhandedly as the bench is activated.

Doctor Doom has posed:
"Yes; if it is not on hand, it can be made available." Doom agrees, letting Harrison go to work unhindered. He really doesn't needs to babysit the guy; he has the security and surveillance to find out if Harrison is up to any shenanigans.

And so, Doom quietly makes his exit after affirming Harrison will have what he needs.
