Eobard Thawne is a time traveler from the year 2458. An obsession with the Flash drove him to modern times to ruin his former Idols life, becoming the reverse of everything he stands for... and has become stranded in this era from how little Negative Speed Force energy is available in this time period.

Since arriving, he's taken the identity of Harrison Wells (in every way, including genetically), and become the Director of Future Solutions -founding his own research institution- spending every waking moment trying to find a way back to his own time. He's done horrible things to cover up his failures and keep his identity as Professor Zoom hidden, and will again.

Few see him as anything but a moving or standing blur of motion, red lightning trailing behind him. Fewer still can see the yellow suit underneath the perpetual motion. The eyes though. Everyone can see the red, glowing eyes of Professor Zoom.

Those who have the visual reflexes to get a glance at the man in the yellow suit will see the red and black lightning bolt symbol going from left to right, from top to bottom, at the front center of his chest. The same red and black lightning bolt symbols within circles can be seen on either side of his head; a partial reverse and replication of the Flash. Red lightning sparks and arcs around his form, whether he's moving or running in a blur.

The entire friction suit gives the unmistakable impression of an almost exactly reversed version of the Flash's suit.

History

Eobard Thawne was born to parents who didn't appreciate him, and an academic community that considered his chosen field of study -the Speed Force and the Flash- to be childish. The Age of Heroes was long gone... but the adventures of Barry Allen's Flash and the history of that era captivated him. An obsession that led to him being nicknamed Professor Zoom by his colleagues after he gained the academic title as a Professor of the Speed Force... and Historian.

A position which led to the revelation that he was destined to become the Flash's greatest enemy. The revelation broke him mentally and drove him to become /better/ than his former Idol: To become everything he wasn't in a vicious mockery. This broken, twisted mindset drove him to go back in time and ruin as much of the childhood of the Flash as he could, lashing out at the cause of all his problems. The murder of Barry Allen's mother and the imprisonment of Barry Allen's father Eobard considered to be one of the few victories of his life. At least until it became clear that he had unintentionally stranded himself in the early 21st century from his meddling.

In the ten years since, Eobard has forcibly taken over the life and life force of Harrison Wellsand -using his appearance and genetics as a mask- built his own research firm Future Solutions into the powerhouse of the academic community it is today; all in the name of finding a way home that he could rely on.

Personality

A certified genius... with a lack of empathy for those around him. Eobard blends in well enough with those of this era thanks to his historical research, but there has never been a sense of belonging. Eobard is a castaway who hates his island... and would burn those around him in a heartbeat if it meant getting back to his time period.

He could have been anything. Instead, destiny has played a cruel trick on Eobard, and he hates his life in modern times. He plays well enough with others as a civilian.

Once he puts on the suit though... all bets are off. Everything is fair game.

Abilities

AIR MANIPULATION
Eobard has the ability to create vortexes and other forms of air based phenomena from his incredible speed. This speed is more than enough to physically manipulate several tons of weight... though it's only enough to keep beings like Superman potentially halted, not pushed back.

COSMIC AWARENESS
Eobard's connection to the Negative Speed Force allows him to sense when anything in his line of sight is a foreigner to his current universe or timeline. He doesn't know /where/ they are from... only that they don't 'belong'.

ELECTROKINESIS
The red lightning byproducts of Negative Speed Force use can be used as rapid fire or burst weapons, in the form of lightning bolts. The strength depends entirely on how long Eobard spends building the charge, with max power being enough to potentially stun beings like Superman and the Hulk for a few seconds.

These lightning bolts will instantly kill most normal humans at max power, turning them to ash within seconds. Rapid fire bolts can stun and kill normal humans with sustained use... and can be shrugged off by those at peak condition. (PC death is by consent only, otherwise bolts will merely do serious damage and require hospitalization). br>
ENHANCED SENSES
Eobard's connection to the Negative Speed Force allows him to tune his senses to any reaction speed he likes... from normal, to light speed reactions.

FLIGHT
Eobard's ability to create aerial vortexes can also be used to create a makeshift form of flight for himself, if need be.

Eobard heavily prefers ground based speed, as this form of movement is not as precise, but he is capable of it.

GENIUS
Considered a certified genius in his own time by those willing to admit it, Eobard is still a towering intellect in this era as much as he was in his home era. Quick thinking and roughly on par with Batman in terms of ability, Eobard is very gifted.

HEALING
Eobard's connection to the Negative Speed Force has increased his normal metabolism to the point that injuries that would normally take days to heal... can heal in under an hour.

Bruises, cuts, and minor injuries are almost instantly healed.

METAMORPHOSIS
Eobard is capable of shifting his own apparent age at will; from toddler, all the way to an old man. This ability is a real time 'morph' of his own body he has to actively focus for the effect to shift him, and to maintain it. He needs access to the timestream to manifest this ability at will.

MOLECULAR PHASING
Eobard can vibrate every molecule in his body fast enough to allow passage through just about any known material in the universe... with few exceptions. Denser materials require more time for this passage.

About the only material that is practically impossible for Eobard to phase through in this manner is vibranium: one mistake going through it, and Eobard would be scattered across the walls due to their natural vibration absorption properties.

NSF GENERATOR
Eobard is the creator and generator of the Negative Speed Force. It generates with every step that he takes, and therefore he cannot be simply cut off from it.

REGENERATIONS
Eobard's connection to the Negative Speed Force not only accelerated his natural healing metabolism, but also allows him to regenerate lost body parts. This process normally takes between 1-4 weeks, depending on severity... and Eobard has not tested if it can bring him back from death. Yet.

SF NEGATION
The Negative Speed Force is cancerous to the Positive Speed Force Barry Allen and all of his kind of Speedsters use. One focused touch from Eobard is enough to destroy -or at least disable- their connection to their Speed Force, leaving them a normal human.

SHOCKWAVES
Using his superspeed, Eobard is capable of creating localized sonic booms with claps and finger snaps. If he pushes this ability, he can reach out to nearly a block radius. They're about what you'd expect from natural shockwaves; pressure fronts that cause horrendous damage to bodies and can shatter delicate materials in the area.

SPEED FORCE AURA
When actively channeling the Negative Speed Force, Eobard generates an aura both destructive and protective. If he wills it, he can protect anyone or anything he carries from harm. By default, this aura is destructive by nature, causing electrical and thermal damage to his surroundings. He can destroy bullets and other kinetic projectiles thrown at him with this aura, as well as anything fragile in the area.

SPEED MIRAGES
Eobard is capable of creating after-images of himself using the Negative Speed Force, giving the illusion of being in two places at once.

SUPER-REFLEXES
Eobard's connection to the Negative Speed Force gives him agility and reflexes far beyond the human norm, leaving him capable of handling himself with grace and fluidity even near the speed of light.

SUPER-STAMINA
Eobard's connection to the Negative Speed Force grants him nearly unlimited stamina, allowing him to run at any speed he desires practically indefinitely.

SUPER-STRENGTH
Eobard's connection to the Negative Speed Force has allowed him to go beyond peak human strength to somewhere beyond Batman. He can reliably lift and hit at what a peak Olympian athlete can... and a bit beyond that with help from the kinetic force superspeed gives.

SUPER-DURABILITY
Eobard has been enhanced by the Negative Speed Force in his system to the point that he can withstand tremendous kinetic forces. A normal human punching him would tickle. Someone like Batman could keep him at bay with dodging, but do very little damage on his own. People like Spider-Man or more enhanced are quite capable of doing damage to him, if they can overcome his healing factor.

SUPER-SPEED
Professor Zoom is connected at a cellular and soul-deep level to the Negative Speed Force. This connection allows him to be one of the fastest humans in existence, on par with the Flash. Fast enough to break time and dimensional barriers naturally (though unable to in this era from a lack of energy), the laws of physics mean very little to Professor Zoom, allowing things like momentum and inertia to be practically ignored.

TELEPATHIC RESIST
Already a genius in his own right, Eobard can think just as fast as he can run. Anyone trying to enter his mind while he's using the Negative Speed Force will have an extremely difficult time locking down any thoughts, let alone control them.

TIME TRAVEL

Eobard is a natural time traveler, not requiring any external devices (like a cosmic treadmill) to facilitate this ability... at least, he would be, if he had the energy to do it.

COMBAT
Eobard has had over a decade to perfect his own style of combat to take advantage of his speed. His style is unique to himself, and makes him capable of taking on the vast majority of opponents without issue. Opponents like Batman can hold their own for a while, but Eobard's limitless stamina can wear them down over time, given the chance.

HISTORIAN
Eobard spent a great deal of time learning from the historical records of his time, allowing him to know a great many things about known facts of this era; a fact he keeps to himself, for his personal benefit.

MANIPULATION
Eobard has been reading and manipulating people since his college years... and his skill in this area has only grown in the decade he's been stranded in the modern era. Capable of quickly assessing people and adjusting his approach for intimidation or persuasion, Eobard could be a very competent leader and tactician in his own right, if he ever found a need to apply himself beyond keeping his two identities secret.

SCIENTIST
Eobard studied many subjects in University back home, with his major in the Speed Force. In his time learning in both future and now, he's acquired a decent amount of practical and theoretical knowledge on a number of subjects. He's no Lex Luthor... but he's close to Batman when it comes to his own areas of study.

SF EXPERTISE

Back home, Eobard was considered /the/ expert on the Speed Force. He knows how it works, how it operates, and how to control and manipulate it. This still holds true in the modern era.

COSTUME RING
The yellow suit Eobard wears is constructed of a time capsuled version of the Flash's own friction suit. Modified with future tech for ease of use and some utility storage, Eobard's suit fits into a concealed costume ring that can pop out in seconds for easy speed fitting... and shrink back down to be replaced back into the ring later.

FUTURE SOLUTIONS
As the Director of Future Solutions under the identity Harrison Wells, Eobard has access to state-of-the-art (for this time) facilities for any number of applications. He doesn't have the unlimited funds of someone like Bruce Wayne, but as a research institution and technology platform specializing in Speed Force research, FS pulls in plenty of money. The company occasionally consults and works with STAR Labs as well.

FUTURE TECH
Eobard is a genius in his own right, and studied quite a few different applied sciences from his era. He knows about theories and technology that haven't even hit the theoretical stage yet.

If a need arises, Eobard is quite capable of assembling some truly terrifying devices given time and materials. Material for most of this technology is hard to make with current technology bases, let alone repair, and even harder to hide from those who know how... leaving using any device a risk in itself.

Suffice to say, Eobard doesn't allow this knowledge to fall into anyone's hands but his own; It's one of his most potent advantages.

GIDEON

A highly advanced quantum computer with an AI interface built in modern times in secret, Gideon is housed in a hidden compartment of the main Future Solutions building. Built specially to be cloaked from most means of detection, it is accessed when Eobard needs to handle computer related tasks or data basing. Hacking is almost trivial when Gideon is used. No, this Gideon can't 'show Eobard the future'. It's just a very powerful computer.

ARROGANCE
Eobard is -for lack of a better phrase- supremely arrogant. There is no question in his mind that everyone around him are ignorant primitives only barely worth his time. The only ones of any notice are the super geniuses who could one day build the technology to get him home without the Speed Force.

BARRY ALLEN
Barry Allen's Flash is the only person in this era that Eobard places any importance on. Eobard would dearly love to kill Barry... but for the sake of keeping his own connection and his timeline intact, Eobard /must/ keep Barry Allen alive, despite being one of the only people capable of killing him.

Anyone who figures this out could potentially manipulate Eobard... at least until Eobard finds a way to turn the tables back on his blackmailer.

He is, however, free to kill Barry Allens from other dimensions and timelines, though.

DEAD FOR CENTURIES
Far as Eobard is concerned, the vast majority of the people of this century have been dead for centuries, and are of no importance whatsoever. Eobard Thawne will not hesitate to resort to horrific measures -including murder- if someone gets in his way.

SECRET IDENTITY
Professor Zoom has taken great pains to conceal his true identity as Eobard Thawne from the world in an effort to both fit into the era, and as a cover for his true goal of time travel. Harrison Wells and Professor Zoom are both identities Eobard will go to /any/ lengths to keep separate from himself in the eyes of the public.

TELEPATHIC ATTACK

If caught off guard and not channeling the Negative Speed Force to enhance his thought processes, a sufficiently informed telepath can control Eobard... at least until he can speed up again.
